Thoughts On Henry

My thoughts on Henry in real life:

I think he is that kind of person that is so proactive, goal oriented and dedicated that being around him when he’s on a project is both awe-inspiring and downright annoying.

When he’s not working he’s the best (or worst, depends on your pov) drinking buddy.

I think he’s the kind of guy that can be the sweetest and most devoted of boyfriends, but at the same time he could have a few good laughs at your expense.

I think he’s the kind of boyfriend you can be in silence with. Or raise a ruckus with. Or read with/next to. Or have a party with.

He’s reliable, honest, patient and honorable.

2023 Update: Boy was I wrong on the previous one. He can be all those things when convenient. More on this below.

He’s playful, naughty and can be a jerk sometimes.

He’ll call you on your bullshit and expect the same from you.

He’ll introduce you to a world of things he knows and expect you to do the same.

He’ll be your worst opponent in a game of Trivia.

He’d be down to teach you whatever game you wanted to play with him.

He’s patient with your fears of him on a motorcycle or doing his own stunts, and would do his best to reassure you.

He would definitely not give up the things he loves just because of your concerns, though. He’d acknowledge them, but he wouldn’t change for you.

He’s a pain to be around when he makes up his mind on some subject you disagree with.

Expect some attitude when he’s putting his foot down.

As to getting to know who someone really is through interviews, I agree with you. It’s too limited in terms of subjects you can talk about, most of the time answers are rehearsed and actors are, for the most part, still acting as they answer.

The trick to interviews, mainly junkets, is that they are repetitive.

So if you watch enough of them, you’ll see they wear the actor down. Their responses become clipped and close to the rehearsed material. But if they’re asked something unexpected, they tend to stick to the shortest possible version of the truth.

Sometimes they’re just in a good mood and tell a little about themselves voluntarily.

But you’re right. You’ll never see the whole from an interview.

2023 Update: Adding to that, when he’s got a dream, a huge plan that is way too important, he can be ruthless in both word and action, telling anyone who expresses the smallest of criticisms an unapologetic f* you.

He makes up his mind about something and becomes a wolf with a bone. Vicious and suspicious.

He’s relentless in the pursuit of his own happiness, or what he believes he truly desires, and will disregard anyone who stands in the way or say something contrary.

I also believe that the stubbornness typical of him, increases to a detrimental level when receiving input contrary to his wishes. He digs his heels and goes against things he used to uphold, probably because he knows no one other than selected few can see the whole picture.

I still love the guy though. I fall more and more in love with the person I know he can be. It’s stupid but I can’t help it.

Have you ever found a person online who you just click with? Your conversations flow, the topics come up easily and you spend hours chatting with them.

It's great.

Too bad (at least for me) it doesn't last.

It's like something happens on either side and things are not the same anymore.

And time passes.

And you see yourself feeling awkward about sending them a hello, let alone tell them you've been missing and thinking about them even after all the time that's passed.

I find myself in this very situation right now.

I don't know how to come back to Tumblr despite really wanting to.

It sucks and I'm sorry.
