Summary: Marlene Mckinnon, your best friend of years invites you to a drinking night with the Marauders and half of Gryffindor’s Seventh Years. Your crush Remus is there, would heartbreaks unfold when Sirius asks him about the person that he likes?
Warnings: angst, language, underage drinking, insecure reader, unrequited love, Marlene being a bad friend (although I think she would be the greatest one), James being an idiot, the Marauders being a bit of assholes + my terrible English (once more I apologize beforehand for any errors)

What could possibly go wrong with a bit of veritaserum, a few shots of firewhiskey and a truth or dare game? Everything and nothing at the same time, it is like flipping coin you can bet and win it all, however, at the same time there is uncertainty.
The Marauders were in the Gryffindor common room, you weren’t a part of their group, but your friend Marlene asked you to come with her, Lily and Dorcas to this ‘‘getting drunk because we don’t know what else to do on a Saturday night, although we would prefer to be partying’’. Marlene told you it was going to be a chill Saturday night, but half of Gryffindor’s Seventh Years were there too.
Marlene had always been your closest friend, she was your neighbour and she was rather an extrovert kid so you were quick to be friends. Since you were eight, you have considered Marls to be your best friend, you told her your deepest secrets, no other than your diary and yourself knew. Nonetheless, you felt as if you were drifting apart, she met Lily and they befriended the Marauders as quick as she befriended you when you were little. You thought she could sense it, that’s why you were here.
You refused at first, it wasn’t your scene, you preferred promenading through Hogsmeade and drinking a few butterbears, taking a few laughs and get back in touch, but she knew how to persuade you. You caught yourself reproducing last night interaction, your rommates let in Marlene because they knew you two were friends, though they thought of you as an alienesque pair. You were in the bathroom, prepping for bed time, when Marlene’s reflection, once you wiped your face, startled you.
‘‘What are you doing here?’’ you asked, a hand holding your chest. ‘‘You scared me, you could’ve at least knocked’’.
You turn your whole body to see your best friend with a cheshire smile, she entered the small bathroom closing the door behind her.
‘‘Do you wanna hang out tomorrow night?’’ she started, smile still present on her features. As she saw your reaction she continued: ‘‘We haven’t seen each other for so long, please!’’ she pleaded, reaching for your hand and holding in between hers.
You looked down to where your bodys joined and sighed, that wasn’t your idea of reconnecting.
‘‘I don’t know Marls, you know I rather…’’. She cut you off.
‘‘Rems is going to be there, plus James had stolen a bit of veritaserum from Slughorn’s potion room, and I’ve seen his looks when he glance over you in the hallways’’ she explained to you, ‘‘Maybe he will confess, please come and bring your roommates, they are fun, even more than…’’
‘‘Me?’’ It was your time of cutting her off. ‘‘I’ll think of it, but my friends won’t come, they have plans for tomorrow night.’’ You crossed your arms over your chest, Marlene never lied, even when she needed to it was a blessing and a curse.
She grimaced, sensing she might had screwed it up.
‘‘We’ll have a great time, think about it, please.’’
The trance was broken due to James calling your name and giggling at you. This is why it you were distancing yourself from Marls, you felt as if her friends were analyzing your every moves and when you did something out of what they were expecting, they laughed at you as if you were a monkey in a circus about to do its next trick.
Marls looked at you and next to the object set in between the circle of people, almost everybody were drunk, your first and only glass of firewhikey sat in your hands half empty. The bottle was pointed at you, of all people. Even though Marlene promised they were only going to be the Marauders and you, almost half of the Gryffindor 7th Years were there too.
‘‘Your turn, pretty friend of Marls’’ a giggling and drunk James said, ‘‘truth or dare?’’
Your gaze fixated on Marlene, you inhaled deeply. Taking a sip of the glass you confidently said dare. A set of ‘‘ohs’’ was heard in the room, you gulped at the sound. Silently and in your head, you cursed Marlene and her stupid ‘‘Rem will be there’’.
‘‘I dare you to…’’ James stood pensive his next words, he look over a boy who played in the Gryffinfor quidditch team ‘‘I dare you to lick Dean’s neck.’’
Evrybody started laughing, you wanted to minimize yourself to the sixe of a bacteria, but you were in the bravest house for a reason, and you stood up and went directly to the boy. Dean move her head so you could have access to his neck and you obeyed. They started cheering you as you licked his neck. Once you finished, embarrassed you went back to the seat next to Marlene, who was heavily drunk and was cheering on you.
‘‘That’s my friend, woohoo!’’ She extended her hand so you could give her a high five. ‘‘You should have seen Remus’ reaction, he was totally pissed off I tell you’’ she whispered as you sat down. You looked in Remus direction who was gazing at both of you and you gave him a smile, he turned quickly.
You thought nothing of it, or so you wanted to think because you were overanalyzing everything of that small and chaste interaction, he must be jealous. It was your turn of spinning the bottle and as if you manifest it just by thinking of him, it fell on Remus. You open your mouth, but you were cut off by the King Potter.
‘‘Truth or dare, mate?’’
Remus was holding your gaze as his mouth let out the word ‘‘truth’’. The coin was flipped in that exact moment and you felt the side you chose, believing Marlene, his looks over at your friend group, every small interaction, was going to win.
James gave him the veritaserum in a shot glass, he drank it still holding your gaze. The coin was high in the sky.
‘‘Well’’ Sirius was the one who spoke this time, a smirk present in his face ‘‘who is the person you can’t stop talking about? What’s their name, mate? If your drunk self hasn’t understood me, who do you like, Moony?’’
Slowly the coin fell, still confident in the choosing side. You were going to win this one time, you knew it.
‘‘You know Y/N, Marls’ friend.’’ Your heart fluttered, the coin was showing your side as it fell and you caught it. ‘‘Well, you know the girl she is always with, what’s her name? Oh yeah, Constance! Constance Hayes.’’
Your palm open, it showed a broken heart, you bet and lost. Still holding his gaze, Remus asked you:
‘‘You could set us up, right? You are practically together all of the time.’’
That was what pushed you over the edge, you saw Marlene’s face. You felt the tears, was this Marls idea of fun? She didn’t look surprised at his revelation, not a even a little bit, did she knew? Was that why she asked you to bring your friends?
You stood up, quickly, startling the people in the room. Marlene copied your every move and followed you, repeating your name over and over again. Everybody followed Marlene, it was the beginning of a fight and people were hungry for action. Your eyes were wet of holding back the tears and hearing the commotion wasn’t helping.
Once you enter your room, you let it all out. Marlene came in right behind you, she went to hug you, but you dismissed her.
‘‘Did you know?’’ you asked, tears flowing. ‘‘I know you can’t lie, so there’s no need to try now.’’
She shook her head at your words, looking hurt just by the accusation.
‘‘If I knew I’d never have encouraged you’’ she answer, her voice half broken and half in a scream.
‘‘I said don’t try to lie now!’’ you recriminated. You wanted to believe in her, but something in your brain just didn’t. ‘‘That’s why yesterday you asked me to bring my friends, so Constance could hear how Remus liked her, because you know both, her and I, like him. Did you wanted me to stop talking about him? What was it?’’
‘‘No! Of course not!’’ She shouted. Both of you could felt how its jab was scaleting quickly into a fight, and to worsen things up, both could hear James and Remus’ shocked expressions.
‘‘Then why!?’’ There was no use in keeping it a secret anymore, the whole school would know by tomorrow.
‘‘I wanted to spend time with you…’’
You cut her, pointing an angry finger towards her.
‘‘Don’t lie!’’
Exasperated, Marlene ran her hands through her hair dyed blonde hair, pulling some.
‘‘You want to know the truth?’’ you nodded. ‘‘Okay, I knew he liked Constance, but I couldn’t hurt you, we’ve been friends for so long… What I didn’t know is that Sirius would ask him that, Sirius knew about who you like-’’
‘‘Oh, so I can’t trust you now! Okay, why did Sirius know?’’ you asked her, angrily.
‘‘Because we can’t be best friend for our whole lifes, Y/N. Our paths have separated, we have different friends, we don’t hang out us much and to be honest, sometimes I feel like our relationship is a burden’’ she said, signaling the space between you.
That was what hurt you the most, you weren’t even thinking about Remus anymore. You knew Marlene was drifting apart, you tried to hang out with her as much as you could, but you never thought you were a burden to her, but that was reality, harsh as a sea storm.
‘‘If you aimed for us to stop being friends, I congratulate you.’’ You started applaudding. ‘‘You fucking did it, Marls! Oh, I almost forgot, you can tell your stupid friends, who I hope wont bother you as I did for all these years, their circus freak is out of shows.’’
‘‘You know I didn’t mean it like that…’’ she tried to fix it.
‘‘You meant it like that, Marls, that’s the worse part. So if you are so considerate of getting out of my room, thank you.’’ You forced a smile, tears streaming down your features.
Marlene obeyed, leaving you back and as she opened the door and displayed a childish James and an awful Remus, you open your mouth to say one last thing.
‘‘Oh, Remus’’ you started, making eye contact with him, just as he did the whole time downstairs ‘‘Constance will look forward on a date with you, how about next week?’’ You smiled falsely.
‘‘I’m sorry, Y/N, I didn’t want to…’’ he apologized.
‘‘Don’t worry Remus, I bet you don’t even feel as bad as you paint it to be. Fuck you all, Marauders!’’ You shouted, giving them all a middle finger.
That night, you drained yourself. You had no more water inside of you to form any more tear, the next morning Marlene and Remus watched you go into the Great Hall, Marlene knew she screwed up and there wasn’t anything she could do to patch up your heart, Remus, on the other hand, replayed the last words you would ever tell him, and you were right, he didn’t even feel as bad as he showed.
Truth or dare was like flipping a coin, you could win it all, however, that night you lost a friendship, but gained a heartbreak.

Summary: Your relationship with Peter isn't the best right now, maybe if Peter cooks you dinner it could improve or maybe not.
TASM! Peter Parker x GN! Reader (not use of any pronouns)
Warnings: implied sex, angst, cheating, crying, mentions of food. (Let me know if I forget anything)
Words: 1764
A/N: Well, I'm back after a big hiatus, school was stressing me out (since it was my last year of high school) and I decided to enjoy summer and spending time on myself. I also had quite a writer block and the only thing that came out was a TASM! Peter Parker fic, so here it is. As always, let me know if I made any grammar or/and spelling mistakes for English is not my first language. Hope you enjoy it!
Earbuds in, you were walking down the streets of New York, it was so cold that it felt as if you were in the middle of December, even though it was almost April. With your bare hands you pulled your coat tighter to protect yourself from the winter-like cold weather.
That afternoon your boyfriend, Peter, asked you if you could go and buy some groceries, since the pantry was almost empty and he decided to be a chef for you and cook that one meal he showed you a few months ago and you obliged, now cursing him for the coldness your body felt.
The store was just a few streets away from your apartment. You prayed not to run into anyone, because you knew they would love to catch up with you, even in this invernal cold. But thankfully, you arrived at the shop without any encounters. There you took the shopping list, Peter crafted with the ingredients for his recipe and with a few more basic groceries such as milk.
You knew why he was doing it. These last few weeks hadn’t been the best for your relationship, college and his vigilante work made him skip some important dates, like your second year anniversary. Both of you decided to go out for dinner, to the fancy restaurant right besides Aunt May’s house. You arrived dressed beautifully, a blue dress that accentuated your eyes and your hair was free, and it fell like a cascade.
Peter made sure he didn’t have to work as Spider-Man, nevertheless, you were stood up. Three hours sitting in that chair made you think you weren’t a priority. The waiter came by the table for the 15th time, you smiled at him with a tight-lipped smile and shook your head, standing up. One hour later you received a text from Peter:
im srry
smthg came up :((
ill make it up 2 u, promise x
You felt disappointed in him, you both planned the night so he didn’t have to dress up as Spider-Man and had to watch over the city, but as always, he had to, not even for a night he could leave it alone. For the next weeks all that could be heard in your apartment was shouting, screaming and reproaches thrown to one and other.
But today, he decided to compensate for it, he wanted you to feel fancy and special or so you thought as you picked up some tomatoes he asked for. Peter always regretted standing you up because he deep down knew you would never do it.
You were on the queue revising everything you were about to buy when you realized you didn’t put cheese on the cart, so you stepped out and went to the dairy aisle.
Suddenly, you heard your name being called, you turned your head and saw one of Peter’s friends. It was Gwen, a beautiful, not to say gorgeous girl. He was Peter’s ex but they decided to remain friends since they knew each other since preschool. Gwen was one of the only people who also knew about Peter's secret identity. She was so very nice and you could always count on her, even if you weren’t as close as she was with Peter.
‘‘Oh my God!’’ she started approaching you so she could hug you. ‘‘How are you? It’s been ages since we’ve last seen each other!’’
‘‘Yeah, it’s been’’ you said. ‘‘How are you?’’
‘‘Well, I’m fine, but you must’ve been feeling horrible these months’’ she responded.
You were confused, you’ve been perfectly fine with your highs and lows but like every other person. Of course Peter and yours relationship wasn't having its best time, but you wouldn’t complain.
‘‘I know about you and Peter, so don’t worry, you don’t have to act all confused’’ she assured you. You were even more confused now.
‘‘What about Peter and I?’’ you looked at her, now with your arms crossed. Everything was fine. Were there any rumors? ‘‘We are fine’’ you added with a nervous laugh.
Gwen was the one with the puzzled look on her face now.
‘‘I thought you guys broke up, you know since he…’’ she confessed, she then realized what Peter was doing. ‘‘Oh! I’m so sorry, sweetheart. Peter is an awful idiot.’’
You placed the cheese on the cart and let out a nervous chuckle followed by a trembling what, why? Gwen only gave you a tight hug and whispered:
‘‘I’m here for you, it is all going to pass’’
You just wanted to go home now and ask Peter about it. Why did her friend think you broke up? You didn’t want to jump to conclusions but it was so easy to wonder through your thoughts and the possibility of him seeing another girl was screaming inside your head, red lights and everything.
You paid for your things and went speed walking, almost running, to your apartment. You were running up the stairs, you wanted an explanation but you didn’t want to be seen as a jealous girlfriend just because one of her friends thought you broke up, it could also be because you haven’t seen her together for a long time, it could be that he was seeing another girl or maybe Gwen saw you with one colleague and thought you guys were over.
It could be thousands of things. As you arrived at your door, your heart was pounding against your chest. One hand on the knob and the other one turning the keys, while the plastic bag was hanging on your forearm. You were deciding whether or not to open the door, it was as if you were protecting your heart or letting it ache.
You finally enter your shared apartment with your boyfriend Peter. He was in the kitchen preparing the pots he was going to use. He didn’t see you at first, but when he did he went for a hug and you reciprocated, but your heart was aching as it felt of betrayal and sadness. You shut all your feelings and thoughts down, you didn’t want to double guess yourself.
‘‘You are freezing, my my’’ he broke the silence and you were so relieved he was the one to do it.
‘‘Yeah, well, it is as if we were in winter and not at the end of March’’ you laughed it off. You left the bag on the counter and put off your coat. ‘‘You know, I’ve run into Gwen at the store’’ you added.
He only hummed at your side picking up the ingredients he needed. He looked so pretty under the dim light of the kitchen, you took a deep breath to remind you what you had to do.
‘‘She told me, she thought we broke up’’ you said, chuckling nervously. Peter looked up to you immediately, he had guilt written over his features. ‘‘She started, like, oh you must be feeling horrible, y’know Peter, you, relationship over, blah, blah, blah’’ you added, also laughing it off.
Peter directed his gaze to the pots as swiftly as he looked up to you before.
‘‘I obviously denied it all, because we are great, with some rough weeks, but, we are great, no?’’ you asked, pushing Peter to confess something, you expected him to, but he only shook his head and tried gulping his guilt away. ‘‘She also apologized and told me she was there for me’’
Peter seemed so concentrated on preparing dinner, playing chef, and pretending he didn’t hear the last bit you said.
‘‘I was so dumb because I really thought you would cheat on me!’’ you then laughed, loud, so loud you swore the neighbors could hear you. ‘‘But you would never cheat on me, right?’’
Silence.
The only thing that was making some sound was the boiling water, but nothing more. There was silence.
You fear for the worst. The truth you didn’t even want to believe.
‘‘Right?’’ your voice was cracked this time. Peter looked at you, eyes read and tears whealing in his eyes.
Your smile dropped off your face, tears began to flow and anger mixed with sadness was all over your body, it was controlling and consuming you. You could bust from it.
Peter opened his mouth, he needed to explain himself.
‘‘Baby, I-’’
‘‘Don’t baby me, Peter. Don’t you even dare to look me in the eye!’’ you shouted, interrupting his explanation. ‘‘How could you even…? WHAT DID I DO? WAS I NOT WORTH IT? WHY? JUST WHY?’’
Peter was shaking his head, nervously, while tears streamed down his cheeks. He was trying to form an explanation, but he could only form sobs. He was now regretting everything he did that led up to this moment.
‘‘Was it her?’’ you sobbed.
Peter looked at you, confused.
‘‘Was it her what came up in our anniversary?’’ you asked again, praying to whoever was up there.
He just nodded. Your whole world collapsed. So it was true, you weren’t important, not to him at least. You nodded, as well, containing your cries, he didn’t deserve seeing you like this. He didn’t deserve you, overall.
‘‘For how long? I just want to know that’’ you lied, you wanted to know it all. You wanted to know the juiciest details, how many times he had fucked her or how many times he had lied to you and his friends. You deserved to know it all.
‘‘One year after starting dating’’ he admitted. It had been going on for over a year. ‘‘But, I… I never loved her, not like I love you, baby, please. You have to believe me.’’ he added.
That was the final straw.
‘‘If you would have loved me, you would never look out for another girl’’ you sentenced as you put on your coat and left the apartment. Peter followed you right behind, but stopped once you were out on the hallway. If he loved you he would go right behind you, running up to you. He never did.
The crude reality settling down. You wanted to shout, cry your heart out, and curse Peter Parker's name, but that’s the thing about you, you wouldn’t do it because you couldn’t. Even after the revelation, you still love him, even when you were this hurt, even if he kissed her right in front of you, even if he disappears from your life, you will forever love him.
Earbuds in, you were walking down the streets of New York, this time crying for a boy with a heart of gold for others, but not for you.

You felt disappointed in him, you both planned the night so he didn’t have to dress up as Spider-Man and had to watch over the city, but as always, he had to, not even for a night, an important one (at least for you), he could not leave it alone.
For the next weeks all that could be heard in your apartment was shouting, screaming and reproaches thrown to one and other. They were filled with venom. Each word thrown was like a dagger in your hearts, it hurt you.
“You know damn well, I can’t leave the city for an anniversary!” he would shout. “As if it was so important, we will celebrate plenty of them! Ugh, God!”
But today, he decided to compensate for it, he wanted you to feel fancy and special, as you should have felt on your anniversary, or so you thought as you picked up some tomatoes he asked for. Peter always regretted standing you up because he knew, deep down, you would never stand him up, not even for an emergency and he knew that always hurt you.
You were on the queue revising everything you were about to buy when you realized you didn’t put cheese on the cart, so, quickly, you stepped out of the line and went to the dairy aisle, cursing yourself because you only wanted to arrive home, eat that delicious dinner Peter was about to make and get drunk on some cheap wine. But the universe had other plans, apparently.
Suddenly, you heard your name being called from down the aisle, you turned your head and saw one of Peter’s friends. It was Gwen, a beautiful, not to say gorgeous girl. He was Peter’s ex, but they decided to remain friends since they knew each other since preschool. Gwen was one of the only people who also knew about Peter's secret identity, so of course you always went to her for advice or just to feel heard. She was so very nice and you could always count on her, even if you weren’t as close as she was with Peter.
‘‘Oh my God!’’ she started approaching you so she could hug you. ‘‘How are you? It’s been ages since we’ve last seen each other!’’
Her embraces were comforting and safe ans that's how you fell between her arms as you reciprocated her hug.
‘‘Yeah, it’s been’’ you said. ‘‘How have you been?’’
‘‘Well, I’m fine, but you must’ve been feeling horrible these past months’’ she responded feeling sorry for you, a knowing look on her face.
You were confused, you’ve been perfectly fine, with your highs and lows, but like every other person and of course Peter and yours relationship wasn't having its best time, but you wouldn’t complain, nor say you were feeling horrible because of it.
‘‘I know about you and Peter, so don’t worry, you don’t have to act all confused’’ she assured you, squeezing your forearm, as if she wanted to comfort you. You were even more confused now.
‘‘What about Peter and I?’’ you looked at her, now with your arms crossed. Everything was fine. Were there any rumors? ‘‘We are fine’’ you added with a nervous laugh.
Gwen was the one with the puzzled look on her face now. She removed her hand off your forearm and smile just as confused as you.
‘‘I thought you guys broke up, you know since he…’’ she laugh, she then stopped, her smile dropped and gasped aa she realized. ‘‘Oh no! I’m so sorry, sweetheart. Peter is an awful idiot.’’
You placed the cheese on the cart and let out a nervous chuckle followed by a trembling what, why? Gwen only gave you a tight hug and whispered:
‘‘I’m here for you, it is all going to pass, ok?’’
You remove yourself from Gwen embrace and went to the line, thoufhts running wild all over your brain.
You just wanted to go home and ask Peter about it. Why did his friend think you broke up? You didn’t want to jump to conclusions and think bad about Peter, but what if he was... No, he would never do that, right?
You paid for your things and went speed walking, almost running, down the street to your apartment. You opened the door and sprinted up the stairs with two bags full of food and miscellaneous stuff on them. You needed an explanation, why did his friends think you guys were over?
In your head, you imagine yourself as a jealous partner. Sick by the idea of it, you tried not to second guess yourself, but your gut knew what was going on, you juat wanted to deny it.
As you arrived at your door, your heart was pounding against your chest at such speed you could feel it coming put your chest. One hand on the knob and the other one turning the keys, while the plastics bag was hanging on your forearms. You were deciding whether or not to open the door, whatever the trith was, you know that it behind that door your heart would ache.
You finally enter your shared apartment with your boyfriend Peter. He was in the kitchen preparing the pots he was going to use. You welcome yourself by saying ‘Hi’, Peter didn’t see you at first.
When you arrived ar the kitchen, Peter went and gave you a peck, instead of butterflies, you felt sick in your stomach, how would you even think so lowly of him?
‘‘You are freezing, my my’’ he broke the silence and you were so relieved he was the one to do it. He put his hands on either side of you and start running them up and down to make you warmer.
Maybe Gwen was wrong, maybe he told her about one of their fights and so she thought the broke up.
‘‘Yeah, well, it is as if we were in winter and not at the end of March’’ you laughed it off. You left the bags on the counter and put off your coat, hanging it. ‘‘You know, I’ve run into Gwen at the store’’ you added, while you were in the hall.
He only hummed picking up the ingredients he needed. you took a deep breath as you reentered the kitchen. Peter looked so handsome while cooking under the dim light of the room. You didn’t want to do this, but your brain reminded you that you deserved an explanation.
‘‘She told me, she thought we broke up’’ you said, chuckling nervously. Peter looked up to you immediately, he had guilt written over his features. ‘‘She started, like, oh you must be feeling horrible, y’know Peter, you, relationship over, blah, blah, blah’’ you added, also chuckling.
Peter directed his gaze to the pots as swiftly as he looked up at you before. You tried to calm yourself, a small smile appeared on your face, maybe your suppositions were wrong, how could you not trust him? He had heart of gold.
‘‘I obviously denied it all, because we are great, with some rough weeks and some fighting, but, we are great, no?’’ you asked, pushing Peter to confess something you expected him to, but he only shook his head while gulping. ‘‘She also apologized and told me she was there for me, which was so weird by the way.’’
Peter pretended he didn’t listen to that. His jaw was clenched, however you didn’t notice it and you started talking again.
‘‘I was so dumb because it really seemed as if you would cheat on me!’’ you then laughed, loud, so loud you swore the neighbors could hear you. ‘‘But you would never cheat on me, right?’’
Silence.
The only thing that was making some sound was the boiling water, but nothing more. There was silence.
You fear for the worst. The truth you didn’t even want to believe. Your heart sank. No, this couldn’t be happening. Not your golden heart boy.
‘‘Right?’’ your voice was cracked this time, the smile you had dissapering from your face. Peter looked at you, eyes read and tears whealing in his eyes.
You couldn’t take it anymore as tears began to flow down your cheeks and anger mixed with sadness was controlling and consuming your body.
Peter opened his mouth, he needed to explain himself, but you had enough.
‘‘Baby, I-’’
‘‘Don’t baby me, Peter. Don’t you even dare to look me in the eye!’’ you shouted, interrupting his explanation. ‘‘How could you even…? WHAT DID I DO? WAS I NOT WORTH IT?’’
Peter was shaking his head, nervously, while tears streamed down his face, you were more than worth it, you were so much better for him. He was trying to form an explanation, but he could only form sobs. He was now regretting everything he did that led up to this moment. Meeting that girl, taking her to bed, continueto hook up with her… His heart broke as you were breaking down in front of him and he couldn’t do anything, because he was the one to fuck it up.
‘‘Was it her?’’ you sobbed, trying to even out your breath and looking up tearing your gaze off the floor.
Peter looked at you confused.
‘‘Was it her what came up in our anniversary?’’ you asked again, praying to whoever was up there it wasn’t, that it was Spider-Man.
He just nodded. Your whole world collapsed. So it was true, you weren’t important, not to him at least. You nodded, as well, containing your cries by biting your lips, he didn’t deserve seeing you like this. He didn’t deserve you, not at all.
‘‘For how long? I just want to know that’’ you lied, you wanted to know it all. You wanted to know the juiciest details, how many times he had fucked her or how many times he had lied to you and his friends. You deserved to know it all, but if you stayed in the same room for more than five minutes you would burst into tears.
“Three months before our anniversary’’ he admitted. It had been going on for over five months now. ‘‘But, I… I never loved her, not like I love you, baby, please. You have to believe me.’’ he added, crying.
You gave him your heart, he took it, played with it, kept it and left you out there in the cold street of New York City crying.
Earbuds in, you were walking down the streets of New York, this time crying for a boy with a heart of gold for others, just not for you.

Remus Lupin x famous! fReader
Warnings: none, if you see one please let me know <3
Words: 2282
A/N: it is inspired by All Too Well (10 minutes version) (Taylor’s version) but not in a bad crying way, lmao. also it was inspired by The Lucky One hahaha. i hope you like this, because it's The Lucky One part 2 <3
marauders era masterlist
You were crying on James and Lily’s living room couch, you arrived at Godric Hollow at night because you didn’t want to face them, you were scared of their reactions, you didn’t want them to be as Remus’ one. So after many hours of wandering through the streets of London, fearing the paparazzi and people who stopped walking just to assure themselves it was you, you waited for another cab in the dark and went to the Potter’s residence.
You knocked on the door when you arrived, no one answered, it was late at night, so you guessed James and Lily were asleep. You were turning to go and wander again, you were sure there were going to be empty rooms in nearby hotels. As you were thinking on the way you were going to call for a taxi, the door opened. A sleepy Lily appeared, she was wearing a white nightgown and her red hair was messy. She called your name, more in a question than a statement.
You went to the staircase, and when you were there Lily invited you in. You both went to the living room and sat down on their couch. It reminded you of this morning and inevitably you broke down crying, Lily ran to soot you when she heard your cries from the kitchen.
‘‘Oh darling!’’ she started calming you down ‘‘What happened, love? Let me, I’m going to wake James up, wait here.’’
She runned upstairs, while you were choking on your sobs, it pained you how you had been so stupid to even think that Remus would have waited for you. Your heart ordered fame, but deep down you had always wanted fame alongside him.
You heard footsteps and you turned your head, you could feel your eyes burn with the tears that were currently streaming down your cheeks. Lily came first, followed by James, who swiftly went and sat down next to you patting your back and hugging you. You’ve always loved how you felt with James, he treated you like his sister and tried to protect you from everything, until you ran away and that connection broke.
‘‘Breathe with me,’’ he said. He started inhaling and exhaling with you, while you could hear the kettle’s sound. ‘‘Okay, I know you can calm down, we’ve done this before lots of, well, concerts.’’
His voice soothed you, Lily came with two cups of tea, one for you and another for her.
‘‘Firstly, darling, what are you doing here? We thought you were still on tour,’’ asked a concerned Lily. Her gaze was soft on you, their kindness was an overwhelming sensation that you hadn’t felt for a long time.
‘‘I- I fled, I couldn’t,’’ you sobbed, trying to form a sentence that wouldn’t sound as if you were ungrateful with your life, even if you were.
‘‘Hey, don’t fret, relax, love,’’ James said, caressing your hair. He gave Lily a look you didn’t understand, you were trying to not break down for the eleventh time, but today had been overwhelming.
‘‘What if you spend the night here, I believe you don’t have anywhere to go, isn’t it?’’ Lily smiled at you, she was right. You nodded and muttered a thank you. You were so grateful, they weren’t scandalised by your presence after all those years. ‘‘Okay, so, let me get the couch done, we don’t have anymore bedrooms left.’’
James bid good night and went upstairs, Lily on the other hand, brought a couple of blankets and a pillow, you helped her prepare and accommodate the sofa. When it was ready, Lily turned off the lights and went upstairs, you closed your eyes and slept.
You dreamt of your Hogwarts years, they were long gone but the dream made them feel like it just happened yesterday. Sirius and James causing trouble around the hallways. Lily, Mary and you practising a new dance for the new ABBA song. Then a picture of Remus and you on your favourite spot, that tree in front of the Black Lake, you spent most of your afternoons there, Remus stroking your hair and telling you how pretty you looked under the last rays of sun.
The smell of burnt toast woke you up. James and Lily were whispering in the kitchen while preparing breakfast, you couldn’t catch the things they were saying so you stood up and went to the kitchen.
‘‘Good morning,’’ you said, stretching yourself. The kitchen’s tiles were blue and the cabinets were white. It was small, but it had a sense of homeliness.
James and Lily told you to sit down, you noticed that there were five plates on the table. Your thoughts rummaging, were Remus and Anne coming to have breakfast? You could not face him, not yet.
‘‘Who is joining us?’’ you asked, your voice trembled a little.
‘‘Oh, yes. Sirius is coming to get Harry, they are going to play Quidditch’’ James said, matter of factly.
‘‘Who is Harry?’’ you asked, but as your question was going to be answered a little boy entered the kitchen. He was a mini James, but he had Lily’s green eyes, he was barely six years.
‘‘Dad, is uncle Siri-’’ he stopped when he saw the intruder sitting at the table. He was Harry. ‘‘Who are you? Is it a strange lady you ran into on the streets?’’ He averted his gaze from you to Lily.
Lily smiled. She introduced him to you as his auntie. The young boy went to where you were and shook your hand, introducing himself. He surely was as cocky as his father. A knock on the door startled Harry, who was telling you everything about his life.
James went to open it, the figure of Sirius Black stood there, he changed a lot, more tattoos decorated his body, his hair longer than what you remembered and he grew, as Remus, a little bit taller.
‘‘Hello mate, how you doing?’’ he entered the house as if it was his, before he could put the other foot on the house, Harry ran to him so he could hug him.
‘‘Oi, what have we here?’’ he said, laughing. It brought you a smile.
‘‘Uncle Siri, I have another auntie, come, come’’ Sirius had a puzzled look on his face at Harry’s words, but as soon as he went into the kitchen he knew what Harry was talking about.
‘‘Hello’’ you said, shyly. You hadn’t seen your friends for six years, and you met them again yesterday. Sirius was surprised to say the least but he went to hug you, you’ve missed them a lot. They watched you grow, and you threw them all.
‘‘What- what are you doing here?’’ he asked you. You were getting sick of the question, but they deserved an explanation. You waited until Lily sat down and you all started eating breakfast. It was a beautiful family photo, the only one left was Remus…
‘‘I needed a break, I guess. I- Remus was right, I love having people watching me, but I got sick of it. They were all prying me, what I was doing wrong, what I was wearing, and I needed to tell Remus.’’ you explained, everyone was listening carefully minus Harry.
‘‘But, I also wanted him to… You know, I wanted fame alongside him. I’m a fool for thinking he would never move on, you all gits moved on and I thought he wouldn’t. I even moved on. I was selfish to think that after all of those news and secrets revealed he would still wait at the door for the singer to appear.’’
Sirius gave you a knowing look, he was trying to tell you he understood you, Lily and James were both with their hands on your arms. Harry was eating the eggs, while the scene happened. You smiled at him when your gaze crossed.
‘‘He gave me a kiss, before I went on a taxi’’ you said, Sirius’ and Lily’s eyes opened.
‘‘But didn’t he have a fiancée?’’ asked James obliviously. You nodded.
‘‘I think it was a ‘goodbye for good’ kiss. When I appeared at his porch door he looked pale as a ghost, he never thought of seeing me again, he thought I disappeared from his life. I never wanted to, Lily.’’
The phone rang when Lily was going to answer you, Sirius stood up swiftly and picked up the phone. He gave you a ‘it’s Remus’ look. He probably wanted to come now that he knew Sirius was at the Potter’s residence.
‘‘Yeah man, bring Anne if you want, yeah’’ Sirius nodded on the phone, ‘‘Yes she is here, why?’’ Sirius pointed at you, you looked at James and Lily shaking your head, you weren’t prepared to see him.
It was too late, the ring bell rang. You were looking for a place to hide, and at your fret Harry started to laugh.
‘‘Look at auntie, she is looking everywhere’’ he laughed.
Sirius went to open the door, the only one who was there was Remus. He was looking for you, he didn’t even acknowledge anyone's presence but yours. He went straight to the kitchen. You stood up and were thinking of passing him without looking at him and calling a taxi. But he called your name, and you were paralyzed. You looked at him.
‘‘Can we talk, properly?’’ he asked. Pleading with his eyes, he spent his whole night awake. He missed you, a lot.
He wanted you, he needed you. After all of those years he still needed you, seeing you on the front page of the magazines wasn’t enough, he had always wanted to be there with you, make you company. Last night, while he was cuddling with Anne, he had a revelation. When he saw you his knees turned weak and the only thing his head could make up was a picture of both of you, kissing and sharing all of your life, be something again.
Anne comforted him, but it wasn’t fair for her, she wasn’t the one he had always dreamt of, but you were. He told Anne this morning, he broke things up with her. She was mad at him, she had been there when he needed her the most, those nights where you were with some guy wrapped on your sheets. Remus wasn’t Anne’s world, but he made it better. But it still hurt when he broke the engagement.
And then, here he was, in front of you, no more engagement ring on his finger, Lily, Sirius, James and Harry went out of the kitchen to leave both of you alone. There you understood it wasn’t a ‘‘goodbye for good’’ kiss, because he was standing here. Your heart was aching, he looked so handsome. His heart was aching, you looked so stunning.
‘‘Yesterday I comprehended it’’ he started explaining, ‘‘Darling, yesterday’s kiss. I’m so glad you aren’t Anne, and that Anne isn’t you. All I wanted to do was kiss you, and hug you and have you between my arms for all of eternity. Because I’ve missed you so much’’.
Tears were pricking in his eyes, you were touched at his words too. You wanted the same, you wanted that and more, you wanted him alongside you at your concerts, but you were a coward, you ran away, and there you were again at the kitchen, saying everything you were feeling.
‘‘That night you ran away, I was doing my suitcase, but you were faster. I was going with you, but that note you left it pained me. But I have you here now, and I wanted to tell you that the masterpiece we were, we can be that again. What you asked for wasn’t too much, we just got lost in translation. I only want to tell you that I love you, and I will always do. You can be angry at me I waited a lot to tell you this, and today I just wanted to express my feelings, I love you.’’
You were both crying, looking at each other. You never stopped loving each other, you were on your minds, everyday, everytime. Now you were on the same page, you ran into his arms. Both of you felt, oh, so lucky, you were the lucky one.
His hand went to your neck as he looked at your lips, you looked at his. And the most special kiss you’ve ever shared happened, it was full of softness and understanding, of passion, of love, of all of the untold things.
The full house erupted in cheers and applause. You separated yourselves and smiled shyly at each other, never breaking eye contact.
[...]
It was a few years later, you were in the backstage, preparing yourself, in less than a minute you were going on stage, after a year break. You started a relationship with Remus, he was at your side now, helping you manage your nerves.
You both needed to regain each other's trust, you hurt one another years ago and you needed the reassurance that neither of you would leave each other now. After a few months you went back to LA and started again, but now you had Remus by your side.
It was all you’ve always dreamed of, and it was reality. You didn’t have to quit fame nor Remus, you had the perfect mix of those and it made you smile of pure glee.
‘‘You have to go now, in 3… 2… Now, now, now!’’ shouted your manager.
Remus squeezed your hand and gave you a little peck and whispered a ‘‘good luck’’.
And you understood there. Let them tell you now, you were the lucky one.

Summary: fame was never easy and Remus warned you, after six years you want to start again.
Remus Lupin x famous!f Reader.
Warnings: none, if you think there is one, please let me know.
Words: 1228
A/N: This fic is heavily inspired by The Lucky One from Taylor Swift :)) and maybe there will be a part 2.
EDIT: part 2 is up now :)
marauders era masterlist
The stage was huge and ready for you to step on it. Your school years are long forgotten and everyone you’ve ever cared for too, even Remus. It was a shame how it all ended, all because of the difference between your ambitions, you’ve always wanted to be famous, some way, somehow.
He told you to quit your dreams, to think of something more realistic, like a healer or maybe a professor at Hogwarts. You thought about it through your last year, pursuing a real career and becoming a healer. You were great at healing his wounds, but you were so unhappy thinking about it being your future.
You were a great singer too, that was your passion, being under the lights and singing your heart to everyone that wanted to hear you. You created a band, The Marauders, you as the lead singer, James as the second guitar, Remus as the bassist and Sirius as the drummer. And you understood there, you felt great when people came to your shows and cheered, but as their last years at Hogwarts loomed they started thinking about profession that you knew, deep down, they didn’t like.
Your relationship with Remus ended with huge fights every night because of who you wanted to be. One night you packed your things and fled to London, pursuing your dreams and leaving all behind…
Now you were there, in front of millions of judges, or fans, your first concert of the year. You became everything you wanted to be, you changed your name, moved to a new town and since then your name was written in every magazine. You were famous. You were so lucky, or that’s what everyone told you. Your songs were streaming everywhere at every second in every part of the world, most of those were copies of the ones you wrote with him in school. It reminded you of where you came from.
But fame, oh fame is cold and unforgiving. You hated your new self, how you treated everyone and you hated how your bed sheets covered a new person each night, none of them knowing your name or if they did, they didn't matter. Every secret you told to your ‘‘friends’’ ended up splash on the news and you hated it, you hated this life. You felt oh so unlucky, so used, as if you were a toy. So you decided that tonight’s show was the last one. And so it was.
As the last notes were streaming, you started running, leaving the cheering behind and everyone who told you to stay. You ran to your car, your manager chasing you and punching the trunk, but you sped out of it, went home and started packing everything, your money, your clothes, your awards, but most importantly your dignity. Then you thought, he was right.
You were back, England, your home. You knew where to go. You asked for a cab and went to the countryside, you hoped the same house you once fled would still be there.
You knocked at the door, waiting impatiently and picking your last traces of black nail polish, and then it opened. Remus behind it, pure shock on his face. He scanned you, head to feet, and so did you. You noticed how scars grew bigger and how he grew a bit taller. You threw yourself into his embrace and cried, how much have you missed him.
‘‘W-what are you doing here?’’ he said. His voice was way deeper than you remembered and comforting. You wanted to be between his arms forever.
‘‘I- I just… I guess…’’ you tried saying between sobs, but you couldn’t, the only thought in your head was the warmth you were feeling.
‘‘Okay, calm down, breathe in and out’’ He held your shoulders so you could look at him, and led you inside.
He sat you down on a green couch, it was even more comfortable than yours, he went to the kitchen and prepared tea. You started to calm down after all the commotion and the sound of water boiling and the smell of species soothed you. It was strange being there, you were used to big mansions, full of people and parties, it was as if the life you’ve lived before didn’t exist.
‘‘Here, take it’’ He handed you your favourite tea. You took it and maintained it with your two hands, it was the right moment
‘‘You were right’’ you blurted out, in a whisper.
‘‘What?’’ he questioned, sitting next to you.
‘‘You were right’’ you repeated, tears welling in your eyes. You broke down bawling. He put his hand on your back, moving it up and down in a soothing way.
You felt so good and right with him, being unknown for everyone else but him. There, you were lucky, and no one had to tell you. Until the creak of the stairs, it awoke you. Remus stood up quickly, leaving your back cold.
‘‘Rem, I heard the knock are you r-’’ A woman's voice started, until she saw you. ‘‘Is that-’’ she couldn’t finish the sentence because she started feeling starstruck.
‘‘Anne, don’t, please. She is not having a great day, it seems, but she is going. Now’’ Remus spared you a look, his gaze hardened. You weren’t welcome no more.
‘‘Maybe, I-, yes, I should get going, there are more people I have to greet’’. You put your cup of tea on the wooden table and bid goodbye to the woman, Anne you thought was her name.
Remus accompanied you to the door. You wanted to cry.
‘‘I-, sorry, it was Anne, my fiancée…’’ Your heart broke, but you could understand life keeps going without you. ‘‘I don’t really know what to say, it’s a surprise seeing you here, after’’ he paused to think ‘‘seven years, and it killed me when I read the magazines. Your life page and mine were completely different, a different guy each night, I wanted to be those guys.’’
He sighed and your lip started to quiver, you also hoped for all of them to be Remus and they weren’t. You have always wanted Remus.
‘‘Until I met Anne, she is… She isn’t you’’ You felt as if someone stabbed you multiple times, she didn’t want you anymore ‘‘She works as a healer and she is the kindest person you would ever meet, she is wonderful and she accepts me, and… I had waited for you, the first years of my relationship with her’’.
‘‘But we can try, if you have waited all these-’’ you were cut by him.
‘‘Have you understand anything? Shit! I have a fiancée! I can’t just leave her because you feel overwhelmed with everything you wanted at first! I warned you, but your heart impered the fame, I was always a second choice after fame and you know that!’’ he shouted angrily.
You flinched at his tone, when he realised he stopped screaming, he was sad and disappointed, with you, with him, with how you two ended. He wanted to be with you, but Anne was in his life now.
‘‘I should get going Remus, and I was- I’ll go to James’ house, he is still with Lily, isn’t it?’’ you asked, trying to lighten the mood. He only nodded and closed the door behind him.
A few hours passed, you had cried, but you were waiting for the taxi now, Remus came and stood by your side, later, you knew he felt guilty and didn’t want you to feel alone. It was your time to go when the taxi arrived. But before you entered the cab, he caught your hand and pulled you in for the last kiss you could never share.
