pokémon ship week day 01 — ( arven & giacomo ) firsts

just ignore that i'm posting this late by an hour oops. i had trouble coming up with ideas for day 01 so i ended up yoinking a theme from one of the other days and drew these two going on their first date.

i imagine that arven managed to score first row tickets to one of ryme's live shows, who giacomo is a major fan of. he's not as into live music as him, but he does love getting to see momo excited about things he's passionate about. :)

blind arven au!penny has been living rent free in my head. i'm not sure if you already have ideas on her specific disabilities, but i've been thinking about her having POTS/chronic fatigue that developed after the bullying. A lot of the disabled people I know, including myself, have developed health conditions or had them worsen after a period of prolonged stress, plus i think it would be nice to see representation of someone who uses a wheelchair for reasons other than a spinal injury paralyzing their legs. these are just thoughts, no pressure, but she's kind of comforting to me.

(Oh the same thing happens to me, only with Giacomo instead of penny) Penny is not paralyzed nor does she have a problem with her spine, she is able to get up and walk! although my initial idea has been that she has some problem with her heart that forces her to use the wheelchair. Most wheelchair users are not paralyzed but it has always been strange to me that people usually believe that ALL wheelchair users are paralyzed.

But I like the idea of ​​chronic fatigue! I didn't want to delve into exactly what Penny has because 1- I'm still indecisive 2- I focus a lot more on the difficulties of wheelchair users in general (like those handicap ramps that would only make the person fly away).

Update, I love it. I genuinely adore it.

The writing is very well done and I must assure you that it is a beauty of Fanfic. It does not break with the personalities of the characters and I love the fact that you took the time to investigate how Arven can guide himself in the kitchen.

For Penny's part, she's exactly how I've imagined her to be in this AU. On Arven's part, the only difference is that the Arven of the fanfic can see a little while mine simply cannot see anything since birth.

Genuinely, thank you very much for taking the time to investigate!!! I like how you describe how Arven moves around the kitchen and how he makes sure of the space Penny may need in that small kitchen. It is adorable!

So I’ve been spinning the blind Arven AU in my head and sort of writing a fic on the side about him… I sort of tossed in my own headcanons and such, and it may not be entirely accurate to your vision, but I’m having a lot of fun with it! Writing a blind character is a really interesting challenge

Aww look them, i have to draw more about this AU and their Backstories. I have many ideas.

Introducing my AU! in this AU Arven is blind from birth while Giacomo has selective mutism.

Giacomo communicates mostly through sign language, but since Arven cannot see him, Giacomo uses an application on his Smartrotom to communicate with Arven.

They both begin to like each other romantically almost at the same time,Giaco notes that even though he hates physical contact Combing Arvy's hair doesn't sound bad.

And Arven... considers Giacomo a very sweet person compared to the rest of the people he has met, although he cannot see him, he feels a warmth in his chest every time he hears that robotic voice say good morning.

There is a lot of content in this AU! There are also more characters, like Nemona, Penny, Florian and Juliana. If you have questions, you can ask! I would like to publish things about this AU on this platform.

To the best of my understanding, (both my research and what I've talked to professionals about), selective mutism comes from an anxiety disorder (and that counts as a mental disability, at least that's the information I've received).

About of the rest of the characters, I'm still informing myself properly, I know that a lot of people like the HC that Nemona is part of the Autistic spectrum so I've been considering it I have also considered DID Systems, I am still doing adequate research on that topic.

I've also thought that Blind Arven could also be part of the Autism spectrum, Ortega has dyslexia, Penny has social anxiety. I want to include more characters but I want to be 100% sure that what I'm doing is well researched, feel free to leave suggestions! ❤️
