I think that’s why I love 80s vampires so much? They’re just vibing.

No “we’re a great species we shall rule all” (for one not a species just a bunch of dead dudes shut up-)

No “I’m going to stalk this girl through her window and get a traditional marriage”

No “im going to live a completely average life and fight over this girl.”

No war between them or anyone

No cult like society of their own with a fucking caste system

It’s just, small groups out doin they’re own thing having fun, they don’t even try to be moral about it! They’re not pretentious either “hey buddy im just doing what I got to live” or up front “I like to play evil it’s fun :) .” I like the small group of vamps doing they’re own thing, there’s no higher up but the group leader no great mission or world domination or idk traditional lifestyle. They’re just having FUN and I think a lot of modern vamps miss that?

Lost boys? They literally sleep all day party all night. They’re here to have a good time

Near dark? Just living, not much to it. Having a bit of fun but mainly trying to survive

Fright night? Also just living. Going from state to state with his boyfriend remodeling houses too

Once bitten? Small group just having fun, hanging and also having to get this one thing every few years

Sundown? Literally just want to be left alone and vibe
