It's past midnight when Sirius pulls James into the bathroom. Their steps are haphazard and they trip a bit on each other, the alcohol in their systems messing with their balance.

"What the fu-?" James asks as they enter the small room (just two stalls and a sink), confusion flooding his body.

"You have been eye-fucking my brother all night!" Sirius hisses, looking equally disguised and annoyed. "Either take him home or stop, because I'm sick of watching!"

James feels himself turn red. "I haven't been eye-fucking anyone!" He throws up his hands for emphasis, almost whacking Sirius in the face.

It's not true. Up until about five minutes ago, when he lost track of Regulus, they'd been staring each other down in the bar all evening.

Sirius rolls his eyes. "Prongs, we've been best friends for too long for me to believe that."

"I-"

But he doesn't get a chance to continue his protest, because suddenly a toilet is flushing, and someone is exiting a stall.

"He's right, you know. Take me home, Potter, or I'll find someone else who will."

And Regulus, smirking, washes his hands and saunters out of the bathroom, leaving both Sirius and James stunned.
