Remy (Angels with Scaly Wings)

● Remy is an archivist from the dragon town that the main character gets transported to, and the person who greets them when they arrive. He's friendly and polite, but also overly-formal and actually has a hard time opening up to others. Not only that, but problems with his job and his past relationships keep him from knowing how to reach out. The game characterizes his grief and depression in a way that can feel a little too real.

Remy is one of the 5 main dateable characters, and his route is one of the three that can become explicitly romantic. Back when I first played, he was one of the reasons I started to think I might be biromantic. Also, he has a charming smile.

Sundew (Wings of Fire)

● her girlfriend willow is from another faction of leafwings so it's a forbidden romance and when sundew's mom gets upset about it sundew is like "i will do what i want" also she can talk to plants which is cool!

● Kazuma Kiryu: Ok so I might be stretching the definition of gay dragon here but he’s literally called ‘the DRAGON of Dojima’ and in fact he’s so like a dragon that they changed the English name of the series to, you guess it, Like a Dragon.

Also he’s super fucking gay for this absolute gremlin of a man that he fights in every game but y’know like in a romantic way that’s just how they flirt.

●Malleus Draconia: Despite not being from an Otome game, Malleus has many interactions with the main character that can be interpreted as romantic. Because the gender of the MC is up to interpretation Malleus can be gay if the player wishes.

● He's very clearly in love with the Mc, who's gender is ambiguous and can be anything you want it to be. So. Gay. Also, he has this like... homoerotic rivalry with Leona, this lion prince, and Rollo, this ugly bowl cut mf (I love him). He's a very cute gay lizard. He also has the autism. Best boy.

● Falin gets eaten by a dragon, resurrected with dark magic by her elf girlfriend, transformed into a dragon chimera by another elf, killed and eaten by her party (they do it to help her), and resurrected (again). Like the main character is probably technically Laios (her brother), but the most important character is her. She's like if the damsel in distress was an autistic gay dragon

The Void Dragon (Aurora)

● an immortal, star-eating dragon trapped in the core of a planet made up of six elemental beings who died trying to stop him. canonically uses he/they pronouns and has a gender that is vaguely defined but not traditionally male from a human perspective.

they have possessed an incredibly powerful mage in the hopes of freeing themself, though circumstances prevent him from taking direct control of said mage except for when rare opportunities present themselves.

at one point his host and host's party are fighting a storm god named tynan who feeds on fear and just took the form of a dragon to help with that, and VD gets so pissed that they instantly take control of their host for the first time in several chapters and just tear into tynan, almost winning the battle singlehandedly until the party intervenes to make sure VD doesn't turn on them right after.

Azhdaha/Retuo Longwang (Genshin Impact)

● An ancient dragon that swore loyalty to and made a contract with a god after he granted him sight. When over-mining in his territory caused erosion (a condition that eventually effects all immortals in game) to settle in faster than it should have, his god sealed him underground to protect humanity. It's implied that Azhdaha had a moment of lucidity and allowed himself to be sealed. In any case, when in his right mind he agrees with the decision, though, when not, he feels betrayed and angry. In game he possesses a young man in order to prevent himself from being unsealed and makes his deep devotion to his god very clear, insisting there was no one he trusted more. The two share a bittersweet goodbye at the end of the quest. Something about being willing to trap himself forever because he believes in the judgment of another man is pretty gay.

Lord Arum (The Penumbra Podcast: Second Citadel)

● Okay so from what I've listened to he's not called a dragon but he is a four-armed, two-legged reptilian man who is born/created to be the guardian and caretaker of an ancient massive magical plant house called The Keep. So, magic lizard guarding magic castle sounds like a dragon to me.

He falls in love with a male human knight and a female human scientist. Bi and poly rights! We have enemies to lovers, homoerotically charged duels, and desperate acts of kidnapping to save the only thing he loves that leads to him finding more people to love (and also saves the only thing he loved).

In the Fire Emblem mobile game, he has a Valentine's Day-equivalent alternate outfit alongside Ike (the man he loves) and his family.

Like Soren is usually snippy towards most people but towards Ike? He becomes a lot nicer.

● Strongly implied that he was in love with legendary hero Balduran and namesake of the games and city. ● Ventuswill is a dragon who tries to hide her less serious side from the townspeople who revere her. As the protagonist is the only one who has seen her more casual demeanor, she becomes rather close to them — and while her dialogue is slightly different depending on selected player gender, either comes off as having a bit of romantic tension.

Also, the art book lists her gender as "???".

Terezi Pyrope (Homestuck)

● Her adoptive mother is a literal dragon of a species that is born blind, when Terezi is blinded by a former friend, her adoptive mom teaches her how to navigate the world the way young dragons do. Terezi loves dragons in general, and collects dragon plushies and also scales shed by real dragons. she also has sharp pointy teeth like a dragon. also she's bisexual as fuck

● her parent is a dragon and she's canonically pansexual.

she's obsessed with law and justice in an ace attorney prosecutor way, extremely cutthroat when she has to be but by no means immune to feeling guilty about it afterwards, and described as being a better manipulator than her bestie/ex-bestie/girlfriend who has literal mind control powers.

● Their name means Dragoness, they have a dragon tatoo and they're a genderqueer/possibly transfem? icon who wants to get rich with their brother by stealing and other criminal activities. A recent chapter heavily hints at Dragona being aromantic as well, telling a guy who's crushing on them that they're not interested in a relationship. While Dragona's gender is pretty unclear for now this part of the manga only started this year so we may know for sure at some point- either way, it's canon they take HRT, use feminine first person pronouns and dress like a woman.

Dan Heng/Dan Feng (Honkai Star Rail)

● (Former)High Elder of a race of Dragon people. Closely associated with another man, sharing a pair of telepathic bracers with him, commiting a grave sin with his help, dreaming of him, being described as once being closest to him, destined for reunion with him, and both having inverted colour palettes. The original Chinese text has a 'typo' that hasn't been fixed implying they were engaged, and mentions Dan Feng fantasising about this other man sweating mid battle. Theres also something about them doing stuff in a boat I think. Dan Heng only has faint memories of their past, but seems to care for these memories, even going so far as to pull the classic 'what did you do to him' after finding he was hurt. Another character claims he stares longingly at the spear made for him by this man. Even if their relationship went to complete hell the game is pretty clear about them being important to each other.

Also the CPR scene at the start of the game., wherein Dan Heng attempts to give the player chatacter CPR incorrectly. I guess he heard kiss of life and didn't question it? He also has a Fan Club and many men find him beautiful.

●About how he's a dragon:

Imbibitor Lunae is the title used by the Vidyadhara High Elder, successor of the Azure Dragon (Vidyadhara are long-life humanoid species with draconic features)

About why he's gay/gay-coded:

In his past life as Dan Feng he would often drink together with Yingxing (now known as Blade) under the moon and they even shared a pair of matching bracers made from flowing coral gold and the leather of unknown beasts. The bracers are told to share a telepathic connection and be able to feel each other's warmth. The two have also been depicted (in official artworks) wearing these bracers many times along with a matching pair of red earrings on opposite ears and matching teal jade clasps that have been said in game texts to be given between lovers to find in their next lives.

Currently, the two are enemies. Blade used to chase Dan Heng across spaceships and annihilate each one he boards on, and each time they fought Dan Heng would stab Blade with the Cloud Piercer to kill him knowing he cannot die.

Even though Dan Heng wants nothing to do with his past self (Dan Feng), he still carries items that are associated with Blade (Yingxing) on him, such as the bracer, Cloud Piercer (the weapon Blade made for him), and his jade pendant.

Tohru (Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid)

● She's the title character of Lesbian Dragon Maid. Obvious choice.

King Valerius (Dragon's Reign by Raythe Reign/X. Aratare)

• King Valerius is the King of all dragons and first dragon shifter in this world. Valerius bonded to his dragon, Raziel, thousands of year ago during a war when his own brother was killed before his eyes. Raziel the dragon bonded with Valerius to allow him to avenge his brother. Valerius remained isolated for many years, preferring to be alone until forced to come out of hiding after the truth about the existence of shifters was revealed to the world and became a reluctant King. Valrius does not much want to rule, yet still cares for those under his protection. Meeting his soulmate Caden, ninth dragon shifter and the white dragon, changed his outlook on life. Helping him to not be as grumpy and to take a more active role in ruling.

Similarly to Caden, Valerius is immortal and able to shift into his dragon form via Raziel, his dragon spirit. Valerius is the black dragon and has the breathe abilities of all the other dragon shifters such as fire, poison, lightning, energy, lava, and more. He is also able to internally communicate with Raziel and telepathically communicate with Caden, his soulmate, across any distance in human or dragon form. Valerius and Iolare are not the only soulmates as their dragon spirits Raziel and Iolare, respectively, are also soulmates.

Whiptail lizard (Real Life)

●this particular species of lizard is the gayest thing in the animal kingdom.

-they are all female and reproduce asexually

-but still have been seen performing mating rituals with other female lizards, and are more likely to reproduce if they do this.

-they exist in real life like that’s so incredibly gay

Caden Bryce (Dragon's Reign by Raythe Reign/X. Aratare)

● Caden is not only canonically gay and a dragon, but is the soulmate of Valerius, the King of Dragons. In a world of shifters Caden is the 9th dragon shifter to appear in a world with 8 dragon shifters who have divided up and rule the world. Valerius at first believes him to be invading his territory after Caden stops a terrorism bombing and instead of dying he becomes a dragon shifter. Caden is kind and caring, always choosing to save others and attempting to end conflicts through peaceful means. Caden does not want the responsibility which comes with being a dragon shifter but eventually realizes he can use his new influence for good.

In this world shifters exist via animal spirits who bond with humans, granting them immortality and the ability to shift into their bonded animals, among other abilities. Caden is bonded to Iolare, the white dragon, who he can communicate with internally. Iolare has ice ability along with the ability to force other dragon shifters back into their human forms. Another ability is being able to telepathically communicate with Valerius, his soulmate, across any distance in human or dragon form. Valerius and Iolare are not the only soulmates as their dragon spirits Raziel and Iolare, respectively, are also soulmates.
