i used to go to a dance class when I was eight

I met all sorts of people there

these two sisters who I thought to be twins

a girl who loved bossing others

a boy who desired to break the social norm of the concept that only girls liked dancing

now I’m thirteen

and as I drive past that lane with my mom

I see that the light from the dance room has disappeared

there are no shoes outside the door anymore

and the dance instructor quit her job long back

now I wonder where they all are
