Spacecore
Tumblr media
Spacecore is an aesthetic that centers around astronomy, stars, planets, and outer space. This aesthetic can also be referred to as astrocore or cosmic-core. Spacecore uses stars, planets, and other outer space components in clothing and décor.
Tumblr media
Spacecore visuals include galaxies, stars, planets, nebulae, moons, and overall images of the known universe, as well as telescopes, space rockets, and traveling long distances and on foreign planets. Retro and Space-Age influences are also popular themes in this aesthetic.
Tumblr media
Spacecore Fashion incorporates obvious space visuals and less-than-obvious space-inspired styles, such as glitter and tulle. Although this aesthetic lends itself to formality, it can be integrated into almost any type of clothing, from high fashion to casual sleepwear.
Tumblr media
Spacecore in film and TV mostly consists of futuristic and sci-fi genres. Here are just some of our favorite sci-fi films, shows, and franchises: ⦁ Star Trek (Franchise) ⦁ Star Wars (Franchise) ⦁ Enemy Mine (Film) ⦁ The Expanse (TV) ⦁ Galaxy Quest (Film) ⦁ Cowboy Bebop (TV) ⦁ The Orville (TV)
Tumblr media
Why we love it...
Besides it being a beautifully stunning aesthetic, spacecore also includes one of our favorite tv and film genres, sci-fi. So perhaps we are biased, but this also allows us to share our love for this out-of-this-world style with you!

Witchcore Aesthetic
Tumblr media
Witchcore is an aesthetic centered around the themes of witchcraft. It often involves how to perform spells, magic, or gem collecting. It has some elements of Cottagecore or Naturecore since some of the aesthetics revolve around the outdoor setting.
Visuals
Tumblr media
Witchcore visuals vary by type of witchcraft; however, there are patterns of objects and places frequently involved in witchcraft and witchcore as an aesthetic. Here is a general list of such items:
⦁ Glass bottles ⦁ Smaller potion bottles ⦁ Plants, especially flowers ⦁ Succulents ⦁ Bouquets ⦁ Herbs ⦁ Dried plants ⦁ Mushrooms ⦁ Moss ⦁ Forests ⦁ Fields of flowers ⦁ Seashells ⦁ Candles ⦁ Lanterns ⦁ Tarot cards ⦁ Wands ⦁ Books, especially aged, leather-bound, and/or related to witchcraft ⦁ Crystals ⦁ Crystal balls ⦁ Potions ⦁ Smoke ⦁ Tea ⦁ Butterflies ⦁ Cats ⦁ Owls ⦁ Frogs ⦁ Skulls, human and animal ⦁ Moon, sun, and planet imagery ⦁ Old buildings and architecture
Fashion
Tumblr media
Witchy fashion is pretty noticeable upon seeing it, though there is not one uniform witches must follow. Witchy fashion utilizes a variety of darker hued, natural colors and black. Vintage wear from thrift stores or hand-me-downs are often seen in this aesthetic, as well as some gothic/goth/nu-goth themes and hippie/boho themes. When in doubt, google Stevie Nicks. Keep in mind that searching for witchy clothing on Google is not reflective of the true aesthetic, search tags on social media for more relevant examples or see the Pinterest boards and photos on this page. Examples of witchy fashion are below:
⦁ Vintage white wedding dresses and nightgowns ⦁ Cloaks (usually for formal rituals) ⦁ Black laced camisoles ⦁ Homemade flower crowns (see Rookie tutorial) that are often adorned with leftover craft materials such as pipe cleaners, alphabet beads, googly eyes, etc. ⦁ Comfy shoes ⦁ Barefeet ⦁ Creepers and laced boots ⦁ Shawls ⦁ Maxi dresses and skirts ⦁ Wide brim hats
Interior Decor
Tumblr media
Decor for witches are typically very natural and have some kind of use. Decor is usually either foraged, thrifted, or made but there are certain items that must be bought from small metaphysical shops. Some things like crystals, flowers, and incense can have a purpose for the craft while others can be for the aesthetic and for happiness. Key items include:
⦁ Crystals ⦁ Fresh or dried flowers ⦁ Grimoires/notebooks ⦁ Books relating to the craft ⦁ Stones ⦁ Mason jars ⦁ Plants ⦁ Sticks ⦁ Wands, drying racks, etc. ⦁ Trinkets you like ⦁ Found items in the wild, from thrift shops, or anything that has personal, spiritual, or symbolic meaning ⦁ Altar clothes and tapestries ⦁ Meditation corners ⦁ Canopies, floor pillows, etc ⦁ Incense and candles
Why We Love It...
Tumblr media
The witchcore aesthetic is another one we were exposed to in our youth. While we are no longer pagan, we were a practicing Wiccan for nearly 10 years. Even though we no longer practice, we take great comfort in the aesthetic itself. Perhaps it's nostalgia, having spent a large portion of our youth in magick shops, and bookstores. But we still find comfort, and beauty in the symbols and imagrey of witchcraft.

Stoner Aesthetics
Tumblr media
The term stoner refers to people who enjoy using cannabis products. In other words, someone who smokes weed. Stoner Aesthetics are based on the celebration and enjoyment of cannabis. There is a vast range of aesthetics, art, and music that revolves around the stoner culture.
The Stoner
Tumblr media
Stoners are somewhat similar to the Hippie culture, yet they mainly focus more on using cannabis rather than other mind-altering drugs like psychedelics.
While Stoner is a blanket term, there are many variations on the "types" of stoners. Each with its own unique style, interests, hobbies, and philosophy. These "stoner types" have even been referenced in the stoner-comedy film, Half Baked.
Tumblr media
Stoner Fashion
Tumblr media
When it comes to fashion, each stoner has their own unique style. However, there are some fashion trends that one might consider a stereotypical stoner look.
Some trends include:
baggy pants
over-sized hoodies
joggers
tie-dye shirts
ripped jeans
beanies
Stoner Themes
Tumblr media
While each stoner's style is unique, The Stoner Aesthetic itself is made up of key elements. These elements include anything having to do with cannabis itself. The pot leaf is the most iconic image associated with stoner aesthetics. other elements can include different forms of cannabis, smoking, vaping, paraphernalia, edibles, or even stoner pop culture references.
The great thing about these elements is that they can be applied to other styles too! Although any stoner can apply the themes to their own style, there are some aesthetics that fit more seamlessly. Some complimenting styles include Hippies, Bohemian, Gamer, and Spacecore.
You can also be a cannabis user and not want to incorporate the aesthetic into your style. And that's ok! Everyone is different.
Why We Love It...
Tumblr media
If you haven't noticed by now, here at Marbled Moon Threads, we are advocates for the medical benefits of cannabis products. Although we understand cannabis isn't for everyone, we celebrate cannabis because it has made a personal impact on our mental and overall health.
At a young age, we were diagnosed with depression and began a long rollercoaster of a journey with pharmaceuticals. First, it was antidepressants, later medication for ADHD was added to the mix, and finally antianxiety medicine. The antidepressants made us a zombie and we developed an eating disorder that the ADHD medication made worse by the time we got to high school. And then we began to use cannabis recreationally. And for the first time in a long time, we felt like a normal person who actually enjoyed life. Not only that but we were able to actually feel hungry and enjoy eating. At the time we didn't put two and two together, especially since we were using it recreationally and didn't have access to it all the time.
In our adult life, our depression and anxiety got bad enough that we were asked to step down from a work position and take a leave of absence. In other words, they asked me to not come back to work until we were mentally stable. So we began a new cocktail of pharmaciducals. The new medication showed barely any improvement and the side effects were even worse. It was at that point we knew the medications were not worth it anymore and stopped taking them.
And that's when we began to look at using cannabis as medicine. We started to use it daily and noticed a difference right away. By the end of our 2nd week of daily use, we had no symptoms of depression, our anxiety levels were low, and we began to develop a normal appetite.
With the aid of daily cannabis use, we don't have to worry about depression, our anxiety is almost nonexistent, and we have finally reached our weight gain goal! It truly has made a positive impact on our health.
As we have stated before, cannabis use isn't for everyone. What works for us may not work for others. And that's ok. Everyone is different.
But with the improvement it has made in our life, we can't help but celebrate cannabis, stoner culture, and aesthetics.

Bohemian Aesthetics
Tumblr media
Bohemian (also known as boho-chic) is a style of fashion drawing on various bohemian and hippie influences, which, at its height in late 2005 was associated particularly with actress Sienna Millerand model Kate Moss in the United Kingdom and (as "boho" chic) actress and businesswoman Mary-Kate Olsen in the United States. It is a style of fashion drawing on various bohemian and hippie influences. Many elements of boho-chic became popular in the late 1960s and some date back much further, being associated, for example, with pre-Raphaelite women of the mid-to-late 19th century.
Interior Design
Tumblr media
Popular house decor includes tapestries, lots of plants, macramé plant holders, salt lamps, and any DIY projects; boho-chic embraces the 'here-and-now,' and so organization is not the primary concern of the bohemian style, instead in favor of observing the present and allowing yourself to leave things as they are when the next place calls you.
Fashion
Tumblr media
They wear loose, colorful clothing and have been known as boho chic and hippie style. With their long flowing hair and rich, though threadbare fabrics, bohemians stand out in a crowd representing a colorful counterculture based on creativity. Chunky jewelry isn't uncommon.
*If you are emulating the bohemian aesthetic, please be mindful that although some have become 'accessories,' certain forms of dress and jewelry belong to indigenous people, whose ancestral culture and deserves to be respected and not appropriated. An often overlooked misuse of culturally significant pieces would be a mimicry of American Indian dreamcatchers. Please allow yourself to be humble as you educate yourself about common cultural appropriation behaviors. If you are not descended from such cultures, then it is offensive to claim any tradition as your own.
Why We Love Bohemian
Tumblr media
This aesthetic, just like grunge has been a source of influence and inspiration our whole life. Today our hippie-at-heart traits are highlighted through our personal home décor and fashion tastes.
As we have mentioned in a previous blog post, growing up we attended a lot of concerts and festivals. Jazz Fest, Earth Day, International Music Festival, SXSW, and Austin City Limits Music Festival to name a few. And in our opinion, music festivals are the perfect place to observe the Bohemian spirit. Not only will you see beautiful and flowing boho fashion being worn and sold at festivals, but you will also see beautifully handcrafted items being sold as well. We would often attempt to convince our father to purchase festival swag for us. Sometimes we were successful. The rest of the time we were content to enjoy the festival atmosphere, music, and food. When it comes to fashion, we have been dying to expand our bohemian style. Growing up we have always been drawn to bellbottoms (the bigger the better). And still, consider them to be the most comfortable jeans to wear. While we usually prefer to wear bright or dark colors, there are a few earth tones we enjoy surrounding ourselves with.
In our opinion, Boho styles should never include synthetic fabrics, if you want to stay true to the hippie spirit anyway. However, there are vegan alternatives that also represent the eco-consciousness of Bohemian lifestyles. Which works for us due to our sensitive skin. While cotton is a standard fabric used in most apparel, our favorite is (you guessed it), hemp. Hemp is one of the strongest and most durable fabrics out there. Although the fabric wrinkles and creases easily, hemp will outlast cotton in most cases. Another amazing benefit is its ability to easily blend with other fabrics. By doing so you can produce a fabric that is durable like hemp, but soft like cotton. Hemp truly is a beneficial and versatile plant, and we love it(along with its medicinal relative).
As we have mentioned in our Eclectic Aesthetic blog post, we have begun to incorporate boho decor into our home, including macrame, crystals, and tapestries. Some of it still needs to be put up and or rearranged, but here are a few examples of our own bohemian decor.

Marbled Moon's Eclectic Aesthetic Outfit
We created this outfit as an example of our own eclectic aesthetic style. That's the fun thing about eclecticism, everyone's is different. Personally, it is very hard for us to choose one favorite of anything. Favorite character, movie, style. It's not that we are indecisive(but sometimes we are 😉) It's more about liking different things for different reasons. One reason doesn't outweigh another. It's not fair, I love them all! So of course we were drawn to an aesthetic that encourages combing different styles.
Tumblr media
In this outfit, you will see many different style influences as well as representations of our own passions and interests. This outfit even includes our Take The High Road, The View Is Beautiful Funny Bumper Sticker, and our Keep Calm Smoke Weed and Mind Your Own Business Zipper Pouch.
The Breakdown
Color
Our favorite colors (if you haven't guessed yet) are blue, pink, purple, and black. You usually see this color palette in pastel goth, synthwave, goth kawaii, and 80s aesthetics. These colors and styles have been a big influence on our eclectic style.
Fashion
When it comes to fashion we like to wear what is comfortable. While skinny jeans look great on us, nothing compares to the comfort of loose-fitting pants. Bellbottoms, flares, palazzo pants, wide leg, sailor pants, harem pants, we love them all!
As far as tops go, tank tops are what we are most comfortable in. However, we also wear hoodies all year round. Throughout all of our styles over the years we have always layered our tops this way. Sweaters, hoodies, jackets, open flannel shirts, you name it. We get cold easily so we were trained at a young age to carry a sweater when going out somewhere. Hoodies also serve as wearable security blankets.😉
Accessories
In this eclectic aesthetic outfit, you'll find all sorts of kick-kacks, button-pins, stickers, signs, and objects. While we won't break down all the accessories in this eclectic aesthetic, we will highlight two themes.
Anime/Manga/Kawaii/Cartoons/Comics- Like most people, our love for cartoons, anime, comics and manga began in childhood. Watching toonami after school, waking up early on Saturdays to kick off the cartoon block with School House Rock. Animation is an art form and one we greatly admire and will never get too old for. In this aesthetic, you'll see a few characters from some of our favorite animes and cartoons. Which ones can you find?👀
420/stoner/weed/marijuana- While we won't go into too much detail here(we're saving it for a future post😉) We will say that for us, marijuana has succeeded where most pharmaceuticals have failed. While we understand weed is not for everyone (especially minors), it has been the only thing to treat our depression and anxiety. It has also been a huge help in recovering from an eating disorder. And since it's made such a positive impact on our well-being, it has become a part of our aesthetic as well.
You will also find elements from other styles sprinkled through out this outfit. What kinds of aesthetic vibes do you see?👀

Eclectic Aesthetics
Tumblr media
Interior Design
Eclectic style is a type of interior design that blends different styles and motifs together to create a unique aesthetic. Eclectic design is often driven by an overarching theme such as boho eclectic—which uses the same principles of eclectic room ideas while adhering to a Bohemian style—or glam eclectic, which uses a more saturated and lively palette to create a more “glamorous” and vibrant feel.
The term “eclecticism” comes from the Greek word eklektikos, which translates to “selective.” Eclectic design first emerged in the nineteenth century in Europe as a way for architects to create unique designs while maintaining some traditional style.
Fashion
Tumblr media
Eclectic style encompasses a variety of periods and styles and is brought together through the use of color, texture, shape and accessories. Pieces are pulled from different decades and styles to create an outfit when referring to eclectic fashion style.
Summary
Simply put, Eclectic Aesthetics is a blend of other styles in a way that is both cohesive and aesthetically pleasing, using colors, textures and shapes to bring the different styles together.
Why we love Eclectic Aesthetics
Tumblr media
Here at Marbled Moon Threads, we adore many different aesthetics. So it's only natural we would be drawn to a style that finds a way to combine them.
We like to use the term to help describe our own style. In our personal life, it has always been a dream of ours to have a bedroom themed around nature. When I was young I was inspired by the music video for "The Sidewinder Sleeps Tonite" by one of my favorite bands R.E.M. Besides it being my favorite song from their album Automatic for the People, I fell in love with the colors, and the aesthetic of industrial meets natural. Growing up we also went camping a lot and wanted to capture the beauty and feeling of looking up at the night sky in the middle of the woods. So it has been our mission to collect décor items that invoke both. Today our dream bedroom is a slow development, but it includes a metal framed bed and thick iron wire lap in the shape of an owl to invoke the industrial feel. Our comforter set is a minimalist white and grey vine pattern and we have tapestries depicting mountain views that provide the comfort an beauty of enjoying a nature landscape. We also have tapestries of galaxy patterns and a POV of looking up at the night sky in the woods to satisfy the desire to camp and look at the stars. We have also begun to include bohemian style pieces like macramé and Tarot card wall art. It is a work and progress and has evolved over time, but it still invokes those themes and feelings we wanted to capture.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
As far as our personal fashion, we are currently limited due to a very welcomed weight gain and have not had an opportunity to update our wardrobe. However with the items that do fit us, we are able to mix and match boho, athletic, casual, grunge and spacecore. On Wednesdays we wear one of our galaxy leggings and our star wars shirt. Every other day of the week is more spontaneous when it comes to our outfits. Once we finally reach our weight goal we'll be ready to update our wardrobe and hopefully include a wider variety of styles and our own designs. First we just need to figure out what sizes fit us once we reach the target weight.
While we still wait to reach our goal, you can still shop our original designs on various apparel and gifts. With new designs coming soon, follow us for more aesthetic spotlights, Products, designs, blog posts, and more!

This week's Aesthetic Spotlight: Grunge
Tumblr media
Grunge historically has its roots in the 1990s hard rock scene of Seattle, Washington. It was a countercultural, anti-consumerism youth movement and musical genre that defined Generation X. Grunge fashion was made popular by bands like Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains, and Soundgarden, and was meant to be timeless and quite casual.
Grunge is a darker, edgier style that is usually depicted these days with glitches, vinyl records, cigarettes, neon lights, and the color black (which has absolutely nothing to do with the original grunge).
Music
Tumblr media
Grunge started in 1985 with Green River's album Come on Down, but it did not become mainstream until the 1990s with Nirvana's Nevermind. Grunge was most popular from roughly 1991 to 1997 and eventually lost its anti-consumerist philosophy. It can be argued that grunge began to decline in 1994, after the tragic suicide of Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain, though the genre maintained popularity until about 1997 when Soundgarden broke up.
Some of our favorite bands include Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, Stone, Temple Pilots, The Gits, Varuca Salt, & The Pixies. A majority of Grunge's visuals involve a large amount of dirty, grimy, weathered imagery.
These show a sort of hopelessness and disenchantment with modern society.
Visuals
Tumblr media
A lot of earth tones and pale colors are used to convey this sort of cultural depression often associated with Grunge.
You will often see the use of polaroid cameras and pictures, glitches, vinyl records, cigarettes, neon lights, and the color black.
Fashion
Tumblr media
Grunge fashion of the late 1980s and early-mid 1990s was often purchased out of thrift stores at the time. Some will argue it was done out of a rejection of the fashions of the time. It's generally agreed that it's because it was cheaper as, at the time, most grunge artists were dirt poor. But with the modern Grunge movement, the philosophical elements of the original Grunge movement were completely dropped in favor of just achieving the visual aesthetic of looking Grunge (although often paying far more exorbitant amounts of money compared to the original Grunge style icons, who almost exclusively shopped at Thrift Stores). Men often wore oversized t-shirts, flannel shirts (that would be tied off around the waist when it got too hot), ripped jeans, and combat boots. These were considered timeless looks and were generally durable and reliable clothing to wear.
Women tended to favor slip dresses, flannel shirts, ripped jeans, chokers, and the bell-bottoms/babydoll t-shirt was a popular combination as well.
Why we love Grunge
Tumblr media
Growing up in the 90s, we were lucky enough to have parents with a broad taste in music, fashion & art. So it's fair to say Grunge had an influence on our household.😉 Music, fashion, and shopping at thrift stores are the most significant contributors. 🎸 Music is a given. Music was always playing in our house growing up. If we weren't rocking out at home, we listened to road-trip jams and would go to concerts and festivals. When it comes to our personal style, bellbottoms, flares, and wide-legged and distressed jeans are some of our favorite bottoms to wear.👖 We own a small collection of band T-shirts(yes we actually listen to the bands we wear). Our favorite shoes to wear are high-top canvas sneakers, and you will rarely see us without a choker. As much as I love new and trendy things, you can find some really amazing things at thrift stores. And it's not just about fashion, it's the whole experience of exploring! Sure there is a lot of old junk in good condition, but then you find it. That amazingly awesome thing. And you know the instant you lay eyes on it, that you have to have it. That thing may be clothes or jewelry. Or it could be a piece of furniture, or maybe a book. And then there are times when you don't find anything. But that's the fun of shopping at thrift stores. You may have an idea of what you are looking for going in, but that may not end up being what you find.🛍️

This week's aesthetic spotlight: Spooky Aesthetics
What is Spooky Aesthetics?
Spooky Aesthetic also referred to as Halloween Aesthetic, Halloweencore, or Autumn People is an aesthetic based around the theme of Halloween or creepy things. Some ideas may include but are not limited to black cats, skeletons, bats, jack-o-lanterns, witches, vampires, and spiders.
Visuals
Halloween visuals invoke imagery of vampires, skeletons, bats, witches, zombies, spiders, Jack-O-Lanterns, ghosts/haunted buildings, and abandoned buildings with a creepy vibe to them; Halloween can either play on the dark/macabre or the campy/goofy sides of Halloween.
Fashion
Tumblr media
Halloween fashion can either make nods to Halloween aesthetics or can be made up of Halloween costumes of some sort. It can also include baggy t-shirts, nightgowns, long/maxi skirts, sweaters (particularly large crew necks), baggy/ mom jeans, black lace, fishnets, ripped tights, corsets, black belts, vintage-looking dresses/shirts, spiked boots, dirty shoes/Converse/boots/etc., socks (any kind, usually frilly or striped ones though), necklaces (usually antique pendants, lockets, etc.), clothing items that display skeletons, ghosts, ghouls, and other "spooky" figures, and makeup can consist of dull colors like black, grey, blue, or bright colors like red eyeshadow or blush on the nose to give the face a "sickly" effect.
Music
Halloween music can consist of a lot of Nu-Metal, Goth, and some Punk music, as well as campy Halloween songs or soundtracks to Tim Burton films (Nightmare Before Christmas being a prime example of Halloween music). Some of our favorite spooky artists include Rob Zombie, Diabolical Masquerade, Marilyn Manson, and Acid Bath.
Why we love Spooky Aesthetics
Most people have feelings of nostalgia when it comes to Halloween, and here at Marbled Moon Threads, we are no different. Although we don't dress up in costumes anymore we still adore everything the spooky season has to offer. We love anything with skeletons, bats, really almost anything that you would consider "spooky". Our love of the creepy is probably what drew us to other styles like alternative and goth aesthetics (which we will explore in the future). In addition to Halloween, Autumn is our favorite season. We love the crunchy leaves, the cooler weather, and the hoodies, & sweaters. It's the best time of the year in our opinion.

Let's explore Aesthetics...
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
AESTHETICS
⦁ being interested in how something looks and feels. ⦁ ⦁ the philosophical theory or set of principles governing the idea of beauty at a given time and place ⦁ ⦁ relating to the science of aesthetics; concerned with the study of the mind and emotions in relation to the sense of beauty. ⦁ ⦁ a particular individual’s set of ideas about style and taste, along with its expression ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Something that has aesthetic appeal is very beautiful, attractive, or stylish. Something that has a certain aesthetic, features a well-defined and well-cultivated style (e.g., a shabby chic aesthetic, goth aesthetic, or minimalist aesthetic in one’s dress, home, lifestyle, or work)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Why are aesthetics important to Marbled Moon Threads? With so many different aesthetics and styles, it's hard for us to pick a favorite. There are a lot of different aesthetics, and subaesthetic genres out there, most of them being inspired by other each other.
And that's the heart of Marbled Moon Threads, a celebration and blend of different aesthetics and styles. Because chances are, you like more than just one style too.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------ In our research and natural observation, we have noticed that lots of aesthetics have many subgenres. For example, Alternative is a very broad aesthetic category and is more of an umbrella term with a wide variety of aesthetics within it. And many aesthetics within the realm of Alt have influenced the other to a degree. Chances are if you like Alt styles, you like Grunge. And if you like Grunge aesthetics, then you would probably enjoy E-girl and E-boy styles too. It's fun to explore the evolution of aesthetics. Here at Marbled Moon Threads, it is our mission to highlight our favorite aesthetics and create original designs around them.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Did you know you can shop by aesthetics at our store? When you visit our store you'll notice that our collections are categorized by aesthetics. So you can easily shop by whatever aesthetics you vibe with. Check out our current Aesthetic Collections!

Step 2, is my favorite step because I get to play around in GIMP and make my #marbledmoon glow! Soooo satisfying. I had made a version without a background but I may end up tweaking that one later if anyone would care to see.
And again I have to bring attention to the music track because, well it's an amazing song and I'm obsessed! I want to give credit where credit is due and I cannot praise this track enough! 🎶Audio Track Credit-"The Quiet Life" by Matt Large from Epidemic Sound🎶

I've been working on a new logo and decided to record the process. This is step 1 out of 4.
For the text portion, I used www.kittl.com, an absolutely amazing site that allows you to create professional designs. I like Kittl because there is so much manipulation you can do with text compared to other sites and programs.
This video is the "extended cut" so be sure to follow us on Instagram for the short versions of all the steps.
Regarding the audio portion of the video, I wanted something chill, but not dull. When I heard this track I fell in love! It is both relaxing and captivating. All the scratches, in all the right places. Honestly, the song reminds me of listening to Portishead, and that's probably why I was so drawn to this track. I wish I had more information on the artist, but this was the only information provided: "The Quiet Life" by Matt Large from Epidemic Sound
Stay tuned for Step 2!

There are lots of non-profits that I would like to donate to. But for now, I have chosen 2 based on the matching collections' themes in my shop. The first is The Planetary Society. 10% of profits made from anything in our Galaxy-themed collections will be donated to @planetarysociety. The second is The Trevor Project. 10% of profits from anything in our LGBTQIA+ related collections will go to @trevorproject.
I chose The Planetary Society because they are the closest thing we have to the mission of Starfleet. Yes…because everything ties back to Star Trek! I'm a fan, can you tell? And as a fan I could go on a long rant… but instead, I will just include a link to an article that highlights the impact Star Trek and more specifically Nichelle Nichols has had on people and the world today.
When I was researching lgbtqia+ non-profits, the Trevor Project really resonated with me. It struck home with me because I remember being 11 years old when I started showing symptoms of depression and having thoughts of suicide. I was lucky and had parents who were able to help me get the counseling and medication I needed. Not all children are that lucky. That's why I want to donate to the Trevor Project.
Although donating directly is the best way to help organizations like these, every little bit helps. Right now things are financially tight for everybody, so I figured this way your purchase helps out with no extra effort on your part and hopefully, it will eventually lead to a bigger donation.

This outfit idea was inspired by my own Space Serenity Galaxy design, featured on the backpack, leggings, and coffee mug.
A little trippy, a little boho, and a little grunge. Why stick to just one aesthetic, when they look this good together?
