I wish more people would move over from Instagram to Tumblr. I miss when people would post photography and art on here, seems like a lot of people stopped posting on Tumblr a few years ago.

Taylor Swift is said to be considering legal action against the deepfake website that generated explicit AI images of her that were circulated online.
A source close to Taylor said on Thursday: ''Whether or not legal action will be taken is being decided but there is one thing that is clear: these fake AI generated images are abusive, offensive, exploitative, and done without Taylor’s consent and/or knowledge. The door needs to be shut on this. Legislation needs to be passed to prevent this and laws must be enacted.''

Incels on Twitter are saying it's "worshipping" Taylor Swift to report the AI porn pics going around of her.
Fucking rapist logic.

This AI generated image of Taylor that's been going around on Twitter is really pissing me off.
Really glad I deleted my Twitter account and highly recommend everyone else deletes it too, especially since Elon is apparently fine with letting this type of vile "content" go viral on his 💩 platform.
Absolutely disgusting. Just disgusting.

I joined Threads the day it came out and now I'm starting to have second thoughts about being on there.
At first it felt different than other social media platforms, but now there's a lot of the same type of stuff going on as on every social media platform–people arguing, calling each other out, and people trying to create drama out of nothing.
Idk I think I'll just stick to Tumblr going forward and avoid the platforms owned by Meta. It's getting exhausting having to mute and block all of the drama on there.

Saying "I blog on Tumblr" sounds so much more romantic than saying "I'm an influencer on Instagram" idk

companies underestimate how much locking their content behind needing an account will just make me go do something else. oh your website wants me to make an account to view this content? oh your website doesn't show media to logged-out users? okay. i didn't actually want to see it that bad. yeah. bye ✌️

"Slot machines leverage this psychological weakness to incredible effect. The unpredictability of the payout makes it harder to stop. Social media does the same. Posting on Twitter might yield a big social payoff, in the form of likes, retweets, and replies. Or it might yield no reward at all. Never knowing the outcome makes it harder to stop pulling the lever. Intermittent variable reinforcement is a defining feature of not only gambling and addiction but also, tellingly, abusive relationships. Abusers veer unpredictability between kindness and cruelty, punishing partners for behaviors that they had previously rewarded with affection. This can lead to something called trauma bonding. The victimized partner finds herself compulsively seeking a positive response, like a gambler feeding a slot machine, or a Facebook addict unable to log off from the platform — even if, for many, it only makes them lonelier."

Is it just me or is most of social media people selling you their products and/or talking about themselves? What happened to using social media to connect with other people? What about listening to other people? What happened to that?
