Tiny clean spacious house 🏠💖

We still don’t have a lot of furnitures in our home, just the basic. Sofa, dining table, electric fan, cooktop and ref in our kitchen. Though we also have a rice cooker but I placed it inside the cabinet to make more space in the kitchen top. It made our tiny living/kitchen/dining room looks spacious. 👍😉

We buy things for our house (as much as possible) with dual purpose so it won’t just sit there in the corner without any use. Just like our L-shape sofa that’s also a pullout bed and a storage at the same time. Our dining table is expandable and can fit to 6 chairs (2 other chairs I placed them upstairs since we’re not using it yet) perfect if we have visitors.

We’re trying to maintain our home as minimalist as possible so we won’t need to declutter from time to time plus it will provide us more space and save more.

Last week may napanuod ako sa youtube something about minimalist lifestyle. Sabi "Less is More." Bigla akong napaisip at napagtanto ko na maraming pros ang pagiging minimalist. Aside from saving money from buying things that I really don't need, it will also make our house looks clean and spacious dahil hindi na kelangan bumili pa ng kung ano anong anik anik. 🤗👍💖 mas maaliwalas sa paningin!

Sharing my kitchen top with my 3 burner built-in hob, rice cooker, and my one and only all-in-one pan. 😁😅 I don't always cook so I don't need more pan in our kitchen though I'm learning and is willing to learn more about cooking. 🤗 Maybe soon, I'll buy another essentials for my cooking journey. 🤣😉 pero sa ngayon, yan lang muna.

Yesterday, my fiancè and I decided to stroll in the mall before me going back home. We went to buy his gaming headset as well which by the way, it kept him so excited for the whole week.

Before leaving the mall, he asked me if I’m hungry and I said yes. I’m always hungry hahaha. We went to Jonie’s since he’s been talking about missing their pork ribs.

We love how juicy the pork ribs and the bbq sauce.

Before we finished our foods, he told me that since we will be busy at work these coming days, this will be his monthsary treat. So sweet of him for remembering our monthsary! ❤️

After a year of being together as I recall, we started talking about getting a house, a car or mortocycle, us getting married, our future together but would always assume that it’s part of his joke kaya never ko sineryoso ang ganyang mga topic namin. Yes, we both ended up laughing every time ganyan pinag-uusapan namin. I had heartbreaks before so hirap talaga ako magtiwala at maniwala and he knew that.

Fast forward on 2017, hirap na kaming magcommute everyday lalo na yung shifts namin madaling araw. He have a car but sa layo ng bahay namin at always traffic pa, naaawa na ako sa kanya dahil sa mahal ng gasolina baka wala na siyang maisave sa sweldo niya. So we decided to get a motorcycle. Convenient dahil we will no longer be stuck in the traffic, at hindi gastos sa gasolina. That’s our first investestment together.

In 2018, we started looking for a preselling house and lot. We’re not in a rush so preselling hinahanap namin kasi mas mura din compared sa ready-for-occupancy houses. We found one and started paying the monthly equity. Supposedly, turn over na siya last year but due to pandemic nahinto yung construction ng subdivision. Hopefully, by this year maturn over na siya so I can finally decorate our own house.

Fast forward again to January this year. Since her sister and boyf are planning to get married this year, I was also excited to help them look for a perfect wedding ring. Every time I found one I like, I always let him see it first. Until I found an engagement ring, Tres Marias style, not sure though if that’s the name. I sent it to him sa messenger. Sabi ko, maganda siya diba? Hindi masyadong magarbo yung design. And what he reply in person? Sus, gusto mo din ganyan? Sabay tawa. And I said, yes gusto ko ganitong design. Simple. Eversince we started dating, hindi talaga kami yung pa sweet type couple. Mas sweet pa ata kami kapag nag-aaway tapos bati hahaha.

A day before our monthsary, we talked about where we go on Valentines day. We’re not used to dine out during our monthsaries kasi gastos lang yun so ang plano was to eat lunch at a korean resto after our shift then uwi na. Unexpectedly mukhang hindi na siya makapaghintay, February 10, 2021 when he proposed to me with this ring. Not your typical proposal kasi wala naman yung paluhod-luhod sabay sabi na will you marry me in a romantic setting. Yung amin, nasa bahay lang at kami lang dalawa. At kahit ganun paman, I felt so kilig. Alam mo yun? Who would have expected that this would happen? Hahaha.

I saw this on Facebook and it hurts my heart seeing oldies selling anything in the street, house to house, door to door, under the sun. To think yung mga bitbit nilang paninda ay mabibigat. Once I saw an old man posted on socmed, hirap na siyang maglakad but he was still selling icedrop para lang may mabili ng pagkain. I wonder kung nasaan ang mga anak niya at bakit siya hinayaang magtinda sa ganun ka init na panahon karga sa balikat ang napakabigat na paninda. Siguro wala siyang mga anak o pamilya kaya kumakayod siya upang may makain sa araw-araw, sabi ko sa sarili ko.

Sana habang tayo ay may kakayanan pang maghanapbuhay, we learn how to save. Save for emergency, travel and leisure, and most importantly, save for retirement.

So next time, when we see and encounter folks selling freshly harvested veggies, handmade products, etc. let’s try not to haggle or bargain. Instead, let’s help them by buying kahit isa or dalawa as long as may benta sila. They’ll surely be grateful to you. Thank you is such a wonderful phrase to hear especially if it comes from those people who are truely grateful. In that way, you will be a blessing to them.

God is so good that He provided us with our needs and letting us live another day. Everyday when I wake up and before I go to sleep, I always thank The Almighty for the blessings and opportunities that He gave me, for protecting my family and giving us good health.
