I understand that there have been talks about an Israeli invasion of Rafah and I understand how absolutely catastrophic that would be for what is potentially the most packed area in the world, but I just want to point out that it feels like everyone is anticipating with fear a potential assault on Rafah whereas attacks and airstrikes are already happening and in fact they never even stopped for over 6 months now.

Keep talking about Rafah and keep talking about Gaza. There are absolutely no "safe zones" in Gaza and there never have been.

I've been resource gathering for YEARS so now I am going to share my dragons hoard

Floorplanner. Design and furnish a house for you to use for having a consistent background in your comic or anything! Free, you need an account, easy to use, and you can save multiple houses.

Comparing Heights. Input the heights of characters to see what the different is between them. Great for keeping consistency. Free.

Magma. Draw online with friends in real time. Great for practice or hanging out. Free, paid plan available, account preferred.

Smithsonian Open Access. Loads of free images. Free.

SketchDaily. Lots of pose references, massive library, is set on a timer so you can practice quick figure drawing. Free.

SculptGL. A sculpting tool which I am yet to master, but you should be able to make whatever 3d object you like with it. free.

Pexels. Free stock images. And the search engine is actually pretty good at pulling up what you want.

Figurosity. Great pose references, diverse body types, lots of "how to draw" videos directly on the site, the models are 3d and you can rotate the angle, but you can't make custom poses or edit body proportions. Free, account option, paid plans available.

Line of Action. More drawing references, this one also has a focus on expressions, hands/feet, animals, landscapes. Free.

Animal Photo. You pose a 3d skull model and select an animal species, and they give you a bunch of photo references for that animal at that angle. Super handy. Free.

Height Weight Chart. You ever see an OC listed as having a certain weight but then they look Wildly different than the number suggests? Well here's a site to avoid that! It shows real people at different weights and heights to give you a better idea of what these abstract numbers all look like. Free to use.

Fiction:

Open Culture  has plenty of free eBooks, mainly in the form of educational resources and classics. It also has free online courses available, and hundreds of free movies.

No list is complete without Project Gutenberg. Here’s a list of their most popular downloads.

Open Library has over a million free ebook titles available, mainly to be read online. (Not available to download.) 

Baen Library  has many free titles available, primarily in Science Fiction and Fantasy.

Kindle Store has a list of their bestselling free ebooks. If you want a constantly updated view of all the free books available at the kindle store, check out Centslessbooks.

Feedbooks has a nice collection of books available on public domain, as well as a High School Reading List with downloadable versions of prescribed literature.

The Ultimate eBook Library is a site that has many recently-published fiction books available to download. While it is technically legal, there are several authors who have found their content on the site without giving their consent. You may want to check that the author did choose to upload their content before downloading.  

Cory Doctorow has made many of his books available online.

The Complete Works of H.P. Lovecraft  are available in one easily to download file.    

There is a collection of  F. Scott Fitzgerald’s  work available.

Some of Neil Gaiman’s short stories are available.

There’s a zip file available of the entire Animorphs series. (KA Applegate gave her permission to the distribution of the ebooks due to the series being largely out of print.) File courtesy of a cool blogger.

EDUCATIONAL

Internet Archive Has a lot of textbooks made available to read for free, from Art to Military Doctrine. 

MIT made some of their sources and textbooks available online for free.

The University of California has made several of their titles available online.

NASA also has a listing of their ebooks here.

The Physics Free Database has plenty of science-related books available.

Polona  is a site by the National Library of Poland to put some of their content online. It contains maps, photography, postcards from the nineteenth century, as well other books in several languages. There’s plenty of historical sources, and the postcards are stunning.

Wolnelektury is mostly Polish, but there are other languages available. It’s run by a charity that digitalises ebooks once their copyrights have expired.
