when an unmasked tobey!spidey passes out after stopping that train and the passengers catch him before he can fall, the silent collective oath that they won't reveal his identity evident on their faces as they find out he's just a kid before the little boy can even say the promise out loud
when andrew!spidey takes off his mask as he saves that kid hanging from the bridge, saying look i'm just a normal guy. and later in the movie when it looks like he can't make it, that kids dad takes to the cranes to help him the rest of the way to save the city
when spidey is just peter parker — just a kid, just a normal guy —who loves protecting new york. and when new york protects him back when he needs it the most. yeah.

i think dc forgot the whole motherfucking purpose of a team of teenage heroes, because it’s just so,,, angsty. and its horrible. teen titans (2016) was just… little kid bossing everyone around and yes there was romantic tension but it was built in a really toxic way and only two of them were friends oh and three of the members are nearing 30. and it’s just so sad because the whole purpose of a group of teen heroes is. they’re teens. theyre fucking TEENAGERS. they have SCHOOL and they are FRIENDS and they joke around and that doesn’t give older heroes any permission to think of them as inferior and ‘childish’ and ‘immature’ because??? they’re growing up??? they’re growing up heroes and one day they’ll be better than them and over time that whole idea was just… tossed away.
you read the teen titans from the 60s and it’s dick, wally, garth, and donna (later roy, much later gnarrk and lilith), and they have a treehouse and they read fan letters, call each other dumb nicknames and one of them even cracks the same stupid joke all the time and they prank each other, and that’s just,,, how it’s supposed to be. that’s what makes the whole team GREAT, because unlike the justice league, they’re growing up together and they are friends before teammates (even though they did meet as heroes but shhh)
the 80s were nice, it was the original titans growing up and to be honest that was cool. they were still friends and facing NEW problems aka adulthood and new characters were introduced and the relationship between them all had its changes and some not and that’s just… it’s still on track and the fidget of the teenage group of heroes is there. the 80s was like a continuation in the lives of the young heroes that fans got attached to and i GET IT i do i love the 80s teen titans
even with young justice, dc still had the idea in mind. because young justice takes these 15 year-olds and they’ve each got their shit-load of a backstory and none of them have the braincell but they’re friends and they’re trying and they crack even dumber jokes than the last team of heroes and they call each other meaner nicknames and their type of friendship is MUCH different from the solid friendship from the 60s, even the one from the 80s, it’s rougher and seems less wholesome overall, but its just the same care and love as the previous teams.
yet the ball seemed to drop with the teen titans of the 2000s, with so much sudden angst and death and all those relationships torn apart and suddenly the characters were changed and there was so much neglection and they were still teens????? its just a huge wtf man it’s so tiring to watch because the whole point is like… for them to be their fucking AGE DC WHAT ARE YOU DOING
