Could I request Megumi and Gojo with an s/o who has the power to turn intimate objects into living beings or creatures? So, if she touches a dragon plushies it becomes a real dragon and if she touches a sword it becomes a person.

It had been a very long day.

The mission hadn’t exactly been hard. Just a low level curse he, Nobara, and Yuji were supposed to dispatch before it caused more problems to the citizens of Tokyo. Unfortunately, however, although it was small it was very clever. Too clever in fact and sent them on a wild goose chase all over the city before Megumi finally caught it and dispelled the curse so they could go home.

He breathed a heavy sigh as he came to the door and opened it. Finally able to relax in peace and quiet with [Y/N] for the rest of the evening.

That dream, however, was immediately dispelled as well after he opened the door and saw his dishes, plates, and the house broom flying around the house in some sort of mad conga line like a children’s movie Tsumiki made him once watch when they were little.

“Ah! Megumi! You’re home!”

“I take it that was a surprise for you?” He asked calmly as he removed his shoes.

Of course he knew about [Y/N]’s special skill of being able to bring inanimate objects to life. So he wasn’t surprised.

In battle it was a very helpful skill. They could create an army almost out of nothing, with the only limitation being the amount of cursed energy needed to bring it to life and size. They could create an almost endless supply quickly as his shikigami, without being limited to their form or if it was destroyed. He still missed Orochi.

In their private lives, however, it was a different story. Things like this would happen often. Where they would use their powers to ‘help’ around the house, or just entertain themselves when they were bored, usually to disastrous results.

“I thought you would be home later, and I could have this all done and everything back without you knowing.” They told him. Carefully weaving through the self-dancing broom that was kicking up dust into the corner. “Sorry.”

“Can you just…put everything back please?” Megumi asked, pinching the bridge of his nose. “It’s been a long day and I don’t have the energy for this circus right now.”

[Y/N] nodded and quickly dispelled the technique as safely as they could. No broken dishes this time, which was a plus. “Do you want me to get a bath for you? The regular way?”

“No. It’s fine.” He replied and stepped into the house now that it was safe. “The house does look nice by the way.”

[Y/N] grinned. “Thanks! I tried! I’ve been working on trying to get it more organized.”

“That might help a bit more if you did it and didn’t let the things decide where they want to go.”

“I know. But they seem so happy when they decide.”

Megumi smirked and let out a tired laugh. Of course they would take ‘the things’ feelings into consideration. “I think I am going to take a bath. Then get to bed early.”

“Ok. I’ll make you something to eat.”

“Just don’t let the pots decide how long to cook the soup for this time.” He told them. “They always get it wrong.”

hella I'm out for a friend's bday and I typically don't visit restaurants like it's a whole thing w my friends how UNAWARE I am of shit. One year ago, I was working on my bachelor's thesis that I had no idea would awaken such passion about the ancient world. I had had love affairs with ancient history but had never thought I could actually do anything with it. But then my advisor read my paper and told me the topic and my idea was masters worthy.

Maybe some day I'll be a published historian, rather than what is referred to as an "independent scholar" (unemployed). My desk is still my bed (although larger now), and my writing editors are still my plushies. Its messy and the organization only makes sense to me. Y7 stuff that game and my feelings for it have been branded into my brain 5ever) but i remember as the games went on, i just got happier the more i saw daigo on screen (kind of like how i get when i see date in that 'omg it's my old friend daigo that's my boy :)') to the point where i instantly knew the 'masked figure' in y5 was him just from his sideburns (tho tbf i think we all saw the twist coming from a mile away, but it's the way i saw his sideburns and instantly went 'oh bitch i know those anywhere')

Idk I've been toying with this headcanon a lot lately. Ofc it doesnt really make a difference to the story since he never finds out "Mr Smiths" true identity, but I think it'd be kind of fun if the dude that Cornelius had developed a morbid fixation on happened to also be an admirer of his work

#the mask of dimitrios #cornelius leyden #eh its a bit of a flawed idea #i dont think we're meant to believe cornelius writings are particularly flawed or anything #but all his crime fiction novels written before the events of the film were (presumably) from the pov of an outsider to the criminal world #so the odds are there are a certain amount of inaccuracies that stick out like sore thumbs to people like peters and dimitrios #and for some reason i can really see dimitrios in particular complaining about those inaccuracies #but who knows #ive heard of cases where writers who had no firsthand experience with certain topics had written about it so convincingly that people who #did experience those things first hand assumed the writer had aswell #and i can see cornelius being one of those types of writers #we ofc see how much effort he'll go to to get firsthand accounts for a potential novel when he has his heart set on it #but also even in the film its suggested that Cornelius appearance and mannerisms are surprising to people only familiar with his books #i just love the idea that sometime before the events of the film dimitrios was reading a super gory raunchy book by leyden #and thinking 'he just like me fr' #while leyden at that exact moment is back in holland watering his hydrangeas while waiting for the cherry pie he just baked to cool down

so i had to go on a meandering rant about how art is nebulous and impossible to really define and is essentially inescapable. is a beautiful nature photo art? what makes it so? someone choosing to and capturing it? the editing of it? or is the thing itself art? what about that random chair? design work went into every single human creation, when does it cease or begin to be art? does the intent of the person who made it define what is art?

so i recently decided to take a look at the latest stonetoss comics (probably because i love suffering). and while i was expecting some content on the israel palestine conflict, what i did not expect was how... standard it seemed. well, most of it at least, but i'll get to that in a second.

for context, if you don't know what stonetoss is, it's a (poorly drawn) webcomic known for having radical alt-right views - meaning it's incredibly racist, homophobic, transphobic, islamophobic, antisemitic. all that fun stuff.

so while i was expecting to see bad stuff, one of the first things i saw on the topic of israel was this:

terrible art aside, this comic is making a point that i usually see in left wing circles: that israel is pinkwashing genocide.

curious if there was more like this, i kept looking, and the comic right before that one was this:

again, this makes points that i usually see in left wing circles. that american healthcare is crazy expensive, that canada tells poor people to commit suicide, and that israel is bombing hospitals.

why does stonetoss, this well known alt-right nutjob, now seem to be bringing up left-wing talking points?

curious, i kept going deeper:

well this is... odd. clearly, stonetoss is trying to say that israel is on another level of bad, even worse than russia, iran, and north korea. i can possibly see someone on the left making the argument that the russian invasion of ukraine isn't as bad as what israel is doing in gaza, or that at least north korea isn't invading any other countries, but... iran??? the country that has a police force designed to enforce religious law, and gets away with murdering women who do not properly cover their hair? the country that props up paramilitary groups in countries all over the middle east, including lebanon, yemen, and yes, palestine?? that's completely ridiculous

but, given how much more israel is in the news nowadays than any of these other countries, i could see why someone would buy this

and now, we're starting to get to the crux of what stonetoss is trying to do. when someone sees this, they might be inclined to agree with it. they might begin to think that israel is the worst country on the planet

and that might not seem so bad at first. but the more you hate israel, especially irrationally, the more you feel allowed to dehumanize those who support it. the more you might be willing to agree with this comic, which came out two days prior to the one above

this comic says that jews, as a whole have no desire to exist with other people. it is blatantly antisemitic

i'm sure you could imagine some young leftist who sees the comics above this one and thinks, "this guy makes some good points". and then, when they get to this one, they might realize that this is antisemitism

or, they may not.

and that would start them down the road to becoming an antisemite.

this is what stonetoss and other alt-right nutjobs are hoping to achieve. to take left wing fury at israel, and direct it at jews.

we saw it with those neo-nazis at the palestine rally, and we're seeing it again here.

and if you've found yourself agreeing with what stonetoss has said so far, i would like you to see the last comic stonetoss put out before october 7th:

this horrifically racist comic is in reference to an environmental activist who was murdered by a black man in early october. this blatantly racist garbage is the kind of stuff stonetoss usually puts out.

but as soon as october 7th happened? these were his next two comics:

stonetoss completely changed the comic's tone as soon as the current crisis started. why?

to get as many people as possible to get on board with hating jews.

and i know many of you might be thinking that "well, everyone knows that stonetoss is racist garbage. nobody is going to fall for this"

except, as we saw with the neo-nazis at the rally for palestine, it's not always that obvious who the antisemites are and who is just rallying for peace. they are often a lot better at disguising it than stonetoss is.

AND EVERYONE NEEDS TO BE AWARE OF THAT

EVERYONE, no matter HOW much experience you have, can fall victim to propoganda. EVERYONE needs to be aware of what people around them are saying, and able to pick out hateful rhetoric, because even the stuff that is just kind of toeing the line of what's hateful is still putting your foot in the door

be cautious, everyone. and stomp out hate where you see it.
