CRK Profile: Moonlight Cookie 🌖

⚙️ Moonlight Cookie is a Legendary Magic Cookie who is prioritized towards the Middle. She was added to the game alongside Milky Way Cookie as one of five new Cookies in the “City of Wizards” series of updates. As of late, she is also the ONLY remaining guardian of the City of Wizards after the Wizards all disappeared. What caused them to disappear? Don’t ask me, I don’t have anything to establish a base for further research into this! She is well-versed in dream magic and has the ability to conjure a floating moon whenever she wants. Moonlight Cookie also has in-depth knowledge of dreams and acts as a protector of Cookiekind’s dreams from the World of Dreams. She’s also one the few Cookies that can equip resonant Moonkissed Toppings with Epic statlines and improved bonus stats. She also knows what I’ve been dreaming of since… FOREVER?! Does that mean she knows about that one time I hugged one of Black Raisin’s crows because I was having a nightmare-!

Moonlight Cookie's graceful wavy hair shines under the night sky, elegant and mystical as ever. She was created by the ancient wizards and learned the secrets of the City of Wizards. Now, all the wizards are gone and she is the only one left to protect the city. She is the strongest while in her dreams, therefore is able to protect the city from intruders. Whenever she feels sad, she falls asleep, where she is able to lean by her friend Moon and draw in the night sky with her Star friends to cheer up.

Basic Attack & Passives

⚙️ Moonlight Cookie’s basic attack targets one enemy from modest range by attacking it with her staff, which shoots a star projectile at her target. Being a dweller of the World of Dreams, she isn’t susceptible to the damage inflicted upon awakening from Sleep by the effects of Beckoning Dreams and Dreams of Doom. She also self-heals after her skill and when a Sleep debuff expires after being inflicted on her.

Skill: Dream of the Night Sky

Moonlight Cookie falls asleep in the night sky and dreams a dream where stars fall onto the enemies' heads, dealing damage and applying a DMG Increase debuff. Then, bright moonlight illuminates the battlefield, dealing damage to the enemies and putting them to Sleep. Enemies that didn't fall Asleep become Drowsy and will eventually fall Asleep when their resistance statuses wear off. When Moonlight Cookie awakens, she will restore her own HP. She will also restore her own HP upon awakening from Sleep effects cast by enemies. Being a dweller of the World of Dreams, Moonlight Cookie is not susceptible to the Beckoning Dreams & Dreams of Doom effect. (DMG relative to Max HP is capped at 300,000)

⚙️ Moonlight Cookie’s skill consists of two phases. Her skill’s first phase makes her fall asleep and scatter a lot of stars over the entire enemy formation, dealing damage over multiple ticks while inflicting an unstackable Weakness debuff. This star attack inflicts bonus damage proportionally against opposing Cookies’ Max HP, but this doesn’t apply to Cookie bosses or rival encounters.

💫 Starlight Damage: 10 ticks over 1.8 Seconds -> 59.1% DMG per tick + ~0.8% per level (Max 108.5%)

🌟 Additional Starlight DMG VS Cookies: 5.5% Max HP (Maximum 300,000)

💥 *Starlight Ignoring DMG Reduction: 40.0%

⚡️ Weakness: +25.0% DMG from all sources (can’t stack more than once)

⏳ Weakness Duration: 12.0 Seconds

☁️ *“Ignoring DMG Reduction” might be a bit confusing because of its wording. But after discussing it a bit with a friend, I can try to give an explanation on how it works. Basically, my source claims that in this context, 40% of the damage dealt by Moonlight Cookie’s Starlight attack will bypass Damage Resistance/Reduction. The remaining 60% is subject to reduction from any Damage Reduction and Resistance. This essentially makes it the same as a similar factor in Black Pearl Cookie’s skill. If this is wrong, let us know ASAP!

⚙️ The second phase of Moonlight Cookie’s skill covers the field in bright Moonlight, led off by the pulse denoted by the golden crescent moon in front of her once it zooms off towards the enemies (see left image). This crescent moon pulse deals additional damage to all enemies in its wake and puts them to sleep (see center image- HEY! WHO USED THE HOLOGRAM OF MY PAST SELF FOR THIS?!), immobilizing them for a short time.

Regular enemies receive more instant damage from the crescent moon pulse, while Cookies suffer True Damage proportional to their Max HP. Enemies that don’t immediately fall asleep because of temporary resistances against interrupting effects become Drowsy (see right image where the red arrow is pointing; trying to capture this debuff was harder than you think), lowering their ATK SPD and Movement SPD while their resistances are active, then putting them to sleep once these resistances end.

🌙🍪 Moonlight DMG VS Cookies: 125.0% ATK + 3% Max HP True Damage (Maximum 300,000)

🌙 Moonlight DMG VS Other Enemies: 255.0% ATK

💤 Sleep: Immobilized for 2.0 Seconds

🥱 Drowsy: -15.0% ATK SPD & MOV SPD, Inflicts Sleep once resistance status effects expire

⚙️ Upon awakening from her sleep caused by this skill or an enemy Sleep debuff, Moonlight Cookie heals herself automatically (see above-left image and passive).

✨ Self-Healing After Sleep or Skill: 29.8% of ATK

While Moonlight Cookie’s skill is active, she is completely intangible to enemy attacks. In this state, she can’t be attacked, damaged, or interrupted by almost ANYTHING, similar to Squid Ink Cookie’s skill and the skills of every Ambush Cookie. See Raspberry Cookie’s ever-vaunted Raspberry Reprise?! Dodged with ZERO DAMAGE TAKEN.

⏱ Initial Cooldown: 4 Seconds

🕰 Skill Cooldown: 15 Seconds

🌖 Skill Duration: 3.4 Seconds

Toppings

Moonkissed Toppings: Preferably use them if you have them in either variety below; they have better bonus stats than Epic Toppings.

Searing Raspberries: To maximize her damage output overall, this should be your main set for raw damage, best used for PvE modes like World Exploration and Tower of Sweet Chaos.

Swift Chocolates: To exploit her 8.5% Cookie Max HP damage and Sleep/Weakness debuffs more often in any mode, this should be your go-to option.

Sub-Bonuses: Damage Resistance should be considered for Kingdom Arena due to the nature of specific teams like one-shot and scam groups, as well as opponents like Eclair Cookie who can single out high-ATK targets with his skill. If you’re running a full set of Swift Chocolates, shoot for -20% Cooldown overall to maximize her capability to put enemies to sleep and cast Weakness more often, usually staying until Moonlight casts her skill AGAIN for +25% added Starlight damage from the Weakness debuff.

Conclusion

⚙️ Moonlight Cookie is much more complex than Sea Fairy Cookie in every way despite both of them having the same role: deal heavy damage to everyone and stun them. Moonlight Cookie has a self-heal passive, can cast Weakness, has a unique stun effect in the form of Sleep, can effectively dodge every attack while her skill is active (negating the need to resist interruptions), and can chip away proportionally against Cookies’ max HP in two sweeping motions. While they both have a similar function, it’s all down to personal preference on how you want to stun, soften, and destroy everything in front of you:

Stun 5 targets, then deal massive raw splash damage to a nearby horde of enemies in minimal time? 🌊

Float away from danger and damage enemies at an even pace over a slower timeframe while casting Weakness, then sleep and sweep away everything in sight all at once? 🌖

Both of them have their place in the game, but the choice is yours. Or better yet, USE BOTH OF THEM and keep enemies down in a longer stunlock! But then again, if there’s a special stat buff or a class restriction, it’s good to have alternatives.

Books on mechanics, information of the stars, blood types of the many universes, sign language, etcetera. Taisha can find books on hourglasses, books on time, keepers, creatures... Scrolls in places you'd least expect them. Nothing helped though.-

Feast in the Yakgwa Village: Secondary Events

⚙️ …and there! I’m live from a new studio that’s apparently on another Baker’s Street. In Parfaedia. What are the odds… Everyone’s gone off to the Moon Festival while I, Strawberry Crepe Cookie, chose to stay behind to explore this studio and study the moon to see what about it’s making these Cookies tick differently.

If everything in this solo gig goes to plan, the Editor even said that I’ll even get my chance to host my own gig on my own totally awesome blog back in my own lab, where I get to explain what YOU need to know about Earthbread and these Cookies… even if a few others need to be there despite most of them being counterintuitive to my genius. Maybe it’s his way of acknowledging my awesome pioneering work in magichanics and studying unknown stuff where normal Cookies would NEVER go!

The other stuff that’s been approved with other Cookies beforehand such as moving around the Black Citadel will go through as previously agreed on while I have free reign over the studio for the month while everyone’s gone and the other staff that’s been here are all moving their stuff out here. But first thing’s first for this month in the village… right. Events!

Hang Out with Vagabond Cookie!

⚙️ Now, I’ve never met this guy before, but he’s got a routine that involves a daily hangout cycle with him. Complete these missions with him and you’ll be friends with him in no time. You’ll also get some extra stuff to add to your balance if your priority is instead set on Coins, Crystals, or Treasures.

Daily Rock, Paper, Scissors!

⚙️ Rock-Paper-Scissors. One of those games that a giant magichanical Crepe Arm unfortunately can’t beat. The game is simple. YOU tell Mister Ordinary- uh- Gingerbrave what you want him to play: Rock, Paper, or Scissors. Your opponent responds in kind by choosing their own move. You get a reward depending on if you win or lose (100 💎 for a win, 30 💎 for a loss). You can challenge one Cookie a day, but you can challenge again on the same day if you watch an ad for something that you’ll probably breeze past and ignore like everyone does. Beat Vagabond, Moon Rabbit, or Ginseng Cookie at their own game and you’ll get a larger reward for your win! Never played this game before? Because I have to if I wanna have my own share… here’s the rules.

Both opponents make one of three gestures with one hand to attack: Rock ✊, Paper ✋, or Scissors ✌️

Depending on what each player chooses, one of three interactions occurs:

✌️🆚✋: Scissors cuts Paper, Scissors wins

✊🆚✌️: Rock breaks Scissors, Rock wins

✋🆚✊: Paper covers Rock, Paper wins

If both players choose the same action (Such as both choosing Rock ✊), the game is a Draw and neither player wins

Yakgwa Village Exploration Log

⚙️ Vagabond Cookie wants to show you around his village for a while. Go play in other game modes and you’ll get some coins to move around the village and maybe find a treasure chest with something in it. Not everyone’s gonna have the same village map, so trying to cheat off someone else’s cartography might yield a wildly different result.

Panacea Pestle Treasure Mastery

⚙️ After a thorough analysis, this Treasure boasts medicinal properties that are fueled primarily by plants such as plain grass. Or, at least that’s what Vagabond Cookie says since he’s got a combi bonus with it. Upgrade it and test it for yourself and you’ll make yourself a small fortune and a Special 10+1 Incantation.

Daily Gold Chest Missions

⚙️ So, do you think yourself a big shot in Trophy Races? Even if your response would be no and the chance of you getting last place is near certain, you might as well run anyway so you can earn the tickets to open Gold Chests. The first three Chests you open on a given day yield a bonus, mostly because of Laurel Cookie.

⚙️ The patch notes and everything else will go up within the week when the Editor’s had his sleep protocol fulfilled. Seeing his new schedule and then work, he’s gonna need that sleep and then some. I’ll leave these costumes for you to see if you haven’t seen them yet for now while I observe the moon from the roof of the studio. Good thing I have a Wafflebot telescope to make it super easy!

The Elements;

Natural forces that make up the foundations of the very worlds that exist with in reality; even if some worlds may lay some elements in their inception, due to the Elemental Gods' decision or otherwise, These very Elements are what makes the Worlds what they are.

The names of the Elements have changed over time as the years ages passed;

The Shaman Age named the elements in an echo of Primordial, in their own primal echo of that devine language of pure understanding; the names had a certain rhythm to them, as they were often called upon in rhythmic ritual, song and/or dance

In the Medieval Age, Alrach Draegborne, the first Mage, was the first to truly grasp Magic properly, seeing that one didnt need to sacrifice any trinkets or or recite full hymns to cast the elemental powers; one only needed to speak the right language.

In modern times, this Arcane Tongue is still utilised - but why speak the spells aloud, when one need only Think it? Thus, with utilizing the Mystic Element, all Magic has been made easier to cast. Though, there may still be some strength in casting with words, than mere thought alone...
