Bdubs and Grian dance around each other while planning their jungle temple base design. Meanwhile, Scott comes out to Scar about his allay hybrid side. Scar, fearing his glitchy vex code will corrupt his friend, debates cutting ties. Honest conversations are had.

By the time Grian swings open the door, wings perky and smile bright, it's too late to deny they're both gunning for something more than "casual roleplay dynamic chat" this evening. Bdubs went and stuck the scarlet feather on a gold clasp, which now hangs from a string at his neck. What are we? is a syrupy-sweet red herring overlaying the actual question of the evening, which is, of course… What are we? Or 'What are we gonna be?' if you wanna get technical.

Grian's face is flushed like he's been swooping laps around New Star all night. His eyes flick low enough to glance off the feather necklace, then bounce up again like he didn't see it. He totally did. There's too much mischief in his eyes. "Whoa," he says. He's fighting back a laugh or grin. He's losing both attempts. "You're really glittery."

"So are you," Bdubs points out.

"Mine's a squeaky clean skin," Grian tosses back. "My plumage would always look like this if I wasn't gathering messy resources and building all the time. What's your excuse?"

"Look at you! Coming on strong, poultry boy." Bdubs pushes through then, knocking Grian with his shoulder. Grian's apartment opens with the sitting area on the left - couch unoccupied - and the kitchen to the right. The floor's so shiny, it must've been freshly mopped. Or licked? Is there a mob that licks the floor? Maybe sniffers do that, though he's pretty sure there aren't any in New Star Station.

Grian's wearing socks striped red and white like candy canes. He shuts the door with a huff, then quips over his lifted wing muscle, "It's Poultry Man. But actually, it's not Poultry Man- Who's he?"

"Yeah, yeah…"

"You got a new lip scar."

"Wait- For real? It crossed over?" Bdubs' fingertips jump to his mouth. Sure enough, the vertical gash Impulse made with his sword curls from his upper lip across his bottom. Yikes. It glows white against his hand. "Well… This'll all blow over soon."

"It looks like a soul wound. Did you get-"

"It's fine!"

There are places to sit at both the bar counter and in the living area. Grian didn't specify a preference. Bdubs realizes in that moment he's never been invited to Grian's place as a proper guest before. He's glimpsed it. But usually when someone's way down at the end of phantom hour and squirreled away in a building, he sends Martyn to handle it. Bdubs hunts the streets on raw wing power, but Martyn's a specialist. When it comes to twisting through little gaps, he's the best they've ever had.

He makes a split-second decision and walks towards the living area. There's a white rug, a nice coffee table, and plenty of room to sprawl. "Hey, did'ya ever find out why we're playing early next session?"

"What?" Grian mutters, tapping after him on socked feet. Then, "Oh, no… I've no idea. It's my birthday, though. Maybe that's why?"

"Hm," says Bdubs. Back in 3rd Life, he sat out a session once for birthday-related reasons. Grian seems like he's thinking the same thing, because he pauses between the couch and an armchair, hands resting on them both.

"… You think I'll miss next week?"

"I mean, if it were my birthday, I'd prob'ly write a list of things I wanted my basing buddy to do. I'm just saying."

"Well, just because it's my birthday, it doesn't mean it's his birthday. And he's not really one to miss a recording."

Yeah, that's true. One time in Limited Life, Grian tried his best to cover when his boss wasn't feeling well enough to focus. It must've really wrecked their sync-cord too, 'cuz Grian kept coughing and lilting sideways like emotions and viruses were dogpiling from above.

Honestly, Grian jumped online long enough to establish a bare-bones presence, then crawled into free-cam and flew off to take a nap. Took ages to find him when the session wrapped up, but there was this whole other side to the map where no one was really basing, and eventually they found his purple parrot soul tucked in a tree with his head under one wing. Figures. Hopefully he'll just stay offline next time, or else call someone in to wear his skin for a day like Cleo and Pearl did when they knew they couldn't make it.

Anyway, Bdubs cocks his head. "Weird day to run the session early though, right? You might wanna write a list of materials or something I can grab in case you're gone. Maybe we need to move base."

Grian frowns, wandering his eyes across the sitting area. His cheeks look full and flushed in the lantern light. "I'd still like a break from building bases that'll just be exploded or burned. I think I'd know if he wasn't going to play, though… Although, Season 9 is ending. What if he's quitting Hermitcraft?"

"Oh, I'm sure that's not-"

The glow of Grian's eyes dims in panic, his energy needed elsewhere as his soul starts to squirm. "What if he's quitting the Life series? I mean, maybe he had a fight with someone. Maybe he yelled at his friend?" He takes to pacing. Bdubs follows with ticking eyes, not breathing a word. Grian always paces when he can't settle down. His fingers fold in front of his mouth. "Maybe he doesn't want me anymore. Bdubs, this might be it. If he's walking out on Minecraft for good, this could be the last night I ever come off AFK."

"I'm sure that's not true, G." He keeps his tone as kind as he can, hands resting in his pockets. At least he doesn't have to concentrate on keeping his wings down. It's just the tail, and that's easy to curl away so it doesn't flicker or misdirect. "It's the middle of a Life series. He's not gonna ditch you. I mean, think of the viewers!"

"I mean, he could. He could just walk out. Maybe he's dying. Or maybe he wants Two to jump in and cover for me." Grian looks down at his body then and rubs his palms across his chest. A pulse of purple sparks darts across his wings, then fizzles out. Bdubs tilts his head, but doesn't jump in. Grian's not gonna want someone baby-talking him while he's flickering. "You know, I… I think he's probably moving bases out there. And he's been playing a lot of Phasmophobia. Maybe New Star's not going to recognize me as a Minecraft player much longer. I mean, that's what happened to Netty, right? Except for her, it was Sims."

"He's prob'ly just wrapping up obligations so he can say good-bye to Season 9 and plan for Season 10. We have meetings and paperwork down here. I bet they have do that kind of stuff out there too. He's got friends and a wife. You wanna talk? I mean, I'm not gonna have solutions, but maybe you can walk me through your feelings."

"He has a wife." Grian sounds… dazed. Shell-shocked. Like he's been clinging to a rope for a little too long and someone just came through and sliced it clean with a Sharpness II netherite sword. Uh. This isn't news to him, right? "He's married. Do you think he has a kid? Maybe I'm a dad. Well, maybe he's a dad… I guess I won't be one unless I want to be. Maybe that's why it's been a struggle to focus on Season 9. Bdubs, you have kids, right?"

Bdubs blinks. "Huh? Yeah. I mean… yeah, my beloved does." You guys all know that, right? His beloved's kids don't have their own accounts yet. Probably someday will, and then Bdubs will do what Impulse and Jewel did and request the newbie to move to New Star, like they did with the other two. They're expecting a third pretty soon, I think. He shrugs. Golly, it's weightless without his wings. "I get emotion bleed from 'em sometimes; they play on my account. I can tell 'em apart. They're sweet."

Blitzø Redesign🐴

Made my own redesign on Blitzø for fun! There’s a lot I love such as the trenchcoat jacket, the circus motif, the facial marking, spikes, the boots, the pendant, etc.

Toned down the circus motif, going for subtle ringmaster vibes especially with the jacket, mixed with dark business attire. To give off how he tries to hide and move on from his past, similar to Moxxie as @a-sterling-rose pointed out but also too connected to just go cold turkey from it.

Added a waist belt with a buckle to look like a crossed out Ø.

Changed the red striped shirt to a collar shirt with a button up vest and dark turtleneck top underneath. Also added a ribbon tie with his moms pendant!

reshaped his moms skull pendant to be heart shaped ❤️. Added a little crack at the top💔…show it got damaged.

Added some tears to his pants. Also made his jacket more ragged & tattered and added some scrunch on his boots. To give off a guy who’s been through some scuffles.

Instead of the eye gloves, I added light yellow X’s.

Added more colors to help his look stand out but also incorporate the rest of I.M.P’s colors. Dark Red for Milllie, light yellow for Moxxie and dark navy blue for Loona❤️💛💙

Kept the red, black & white but also added more gray to give off how he’s a gray character(doesn’t do the greatest things and has made big mistakes but at the same time cares about others, trying to be better and improve).

Made his scars sharper to show where he got hit and added discolouration to his eye as it also got hit in the crossfire🔥 Also made his right hand white to show it got hit by the fire.

Added more asymmetry with his horn patterns, face, eye colors and hand colors.

I like when his design leans more to reptilian vibes so I went with that 🦎 especially since it’s implied his dad has some greed roots and it’s shown they have reptilian type hellborns. Gave him talons like Barbie does.

Curled his horns for a more circus vibe and to look like Barbies more. Also why I gave him talons and reshaped his head as her head also looks more reptilian.

Made his eyes more pinkish to lean towards lust roots more, having his moms eyes who's implied to be part succubus. Good chance the facial markings from her and that it was made to be their Circus’ symbol and added unto others painted like Fizz & Cash.

Made his tail more heart shaped, not to give off lust roots from his mom more but also to give off a broken heart on account of all his relationship issues💔. Also added round holes on the side to give off his marking too! Also added more stripes.

for the logo I made it a little name tag on the front of his jacket. I considered putting it in the back of the jacket but he also has spikes and I figure this also helps give off professional business vibes.

Also made designs of Moxxie, Millie, Loona & Stella🐊🐂🐺🦢

Don't mind me, just going through a binge of your blog.

But i do have a question/request? I suppose?

I haven't been in this fandom long but i love it. Seeing all these one shots and hc of the boys will never stop giving me serotonin.

That being said there's always a little voice in the back of my head that says "these aren't for your kind, they're for every other race but yours." Most days i can fight it, but these last few weeks? I've come to hate being African American.

Sorry for the babbling, but how would the guys handle an s/o who hates their own skin color and calls themselves a freak because of it?

First off, thank you for the support. Secondly, I’m so sorry you feel like that, I try to make my oneshots inclusive but will definitely strive harder so you and anyone else don’t feel like this. And there is absolutely nothing ‘wrong’ with you, you are perfect just the way you are.

Headcanon:

The guys would all agree you are being absolutely crazy, I mean c’mon in their eyes you are the definition of perfection. I also feel like they’d be able to relate since ya know their mutants living under New York City.

Raph: ❤️

He won't rest until he finds out why you're upset.

He won't be too bossy incase it's something you're not ready to talk about yet.

When you do tell him what's bumming you out, this turtle will be on 100% protective mode.

If he finds the people that are making you feeling bad about yourself, well lets just say their gonna get to hear his batman voice.

Will carry you around all day like the king or queen you are.

Will not take 'no' as an answer.

Although Raph may not be as good at the whole "Psychology" thing like Mikey, he'll listen to you and offer his thoughts.

His thoughts usually being "Are you insane? You're beautiful!"

"I love you just the way you are, you should never feel like that."

The moment he hears you call yourself a freak, oop you've only gone and done it now.

Will literally go make a list of all the things he likes about you and will read it out to you, no matter how embarrassed you get.

He could fill a whole notebook by the end of the day.

Leo: 💙

He would be able to sympathise with you, after all, he hates the red-stripes that scar his face.

He'd offer to talk about it with you, comfort you with hugs and just tons on affection.

He'd tell you cheesy pick-up lines and jokes that would send your cheeks red.

Much to contrary belief, the guy can listen. Leo is such a good-listener, whatever you want to say to him you can because he loves the sound of your voice, and just you in general.

He'll tell you how much he adores you, starting with your looks but then delving deeper into your personality and the things that make you, you.

If he ever hears you call yourself a "freak" he'll go insane. He doesn't understand how you could call yourself something you are most certainly not.

Will beg you to stay the night just so he can cuddle up to you and run his fingers through your hair.

Will definetly whisper sweet nothings and compliments while you fall asleep.

Donnie: 💜

Similar to Leo, Donnie is too a good-listener. He'll take you to his lab so you can talk in private.

He'll nod his head to show you that he's listening and often add stuff along the lines of "You're beautiful", "Don't say that about yourself" or "You're the most gorgeous person I've ever met".

He'll encourage you to relax around his lab, go there whenever you feel the need to rant or cry.

Hugs.

Donnie isn't a very touchy-huggy person, but when it comes to you he will happily sit with you in his arms all day.

When you tell him all your thoughts about your appearance, he'll shut you up with his arms wrapping around your waist.

You'll just sit cuddled in his lap in his lab, quiet music playing from the speakers.

And If you don't tell him to shut up he'll tell you the scientific reasoning for the reason humans have different skin colours.

He'll stop if you tell him to, but science helps the poor boy when he's stressed.

Mikey: 🧡

Physically cannot understand where you're coming from, he just doesn't see it.

"But you're so pretty, I don't get why you think you're a freak?"

Definitely expect some of his personas to come out.

Doctor feelings, Doctor positive and Doctor delicate touch will all be giving you some up-lifting words of advice and encouragement.

Will offer some distractions when you feel down.

He'll allow you to beat him at any video game you choose, and if you're not into video games?

Movie night and food are on him. Literally. He was trying to bake a pizza and got a little too excited with the flour.

Mikey, unlike his brothers, is the best at picking up on someone else's feelings. So equally, he is just as amazing at changing someone's emotions too.

Cuddles and snuggles are 100% happening. Although it's always a struggle when you both try to get into his hamock at the same time.

Will constantly praise you throughout the day and night until he sees you smile.

For those of you who were curious, I've finally sketched out my fankid with Toshi!! It's mostly an AU where shortly after splitting up with him after his big injury, my s/i discovers that she's with child and decides to raise the baby on her own. That is, until they meet again upon taking a job at UA!

Her name is Joey, and she's the spitting image of her father sometimes. Goofy, helpful, strong-willed, brave, and she cares a lot about others! The kicker though is that even though she knows All Might from TV...her favorite hero is actually PRESENT MIC! 😂 she listens to his radio show every night, tries to imitate the way he speaks, and when she gets older I imagine she'd learn to play the guitar and pursue music!
