Drawing a Liyue character every day until CNY day 2: Xinyan!
OTP(s): Jinyan/ Yunyan! (Xinyan x Yunjin) :3 one of the most underrated ships in Genshin, I didn’t ship it at first but it grew on me the more I read each of their lines about each other.
Relationships I like with her in:
-Xinyan and Childe. Pls can we have more interactions with them
-Xinyan and Kazuha and Beidou (all 3 haven’t interacted together yet but Xinyan works well with both)
-The Blaze Lilies! (I really loved those two together :3)
Things I like about this character: Xinyan is the realest Genshin character, and her morals/ideals align the most with mine than any other character. Her guitar looks a lot more like pipa rather than a guitar, and I really like the way it looks and how it manages to sound like an electric guitar despite Teyvat not having electricity. Events are made 1000% better with Xinyan (pls mihoyo can we have another Xinyan centric event-)
Meta stuff: C6-ed. I’ve tried so hard to make her a pyro defence dps, but I think until I have a 5* claymore with a crit or defence main stat it isn’t really viable. I only tend to use her in the Mondstadt talent domain which she is unbelievably cracked at. I guess she’ll only become meta in Snezchnaya- actually that isn’t true, I used to play burgeon Xinyan for a bit when Sumeru first dropped which was pretty OP, except burgeon requires very specific set-up which is a bit finicky for my liking.
HCs: Xinyan fishes a lot and is very good at it, as well as just being well adapted at sea from experience and instinct. In another life maybe she might have been a member of the Crux. She hopes Childe will show her how to ice-fish one day~

Genshin Character Names' Meanings Pt.2
Well, since we've got an announcement of our crane mom Cloud Retainer (or it's Xianyun now, I guess) and Gaming (no, not gaming Gaming, but like Ga Ming Gaming, you see), I thought it would be a great reason to sit down and make a compilation of all Liyue characters' names. Once again, I'll be glad if you tell me whether there are some mistakes, and have fun!

Xiangling | From Chinese 香 (xiāng) meaning «Fragrant» and 菱 (líng) meaning «Water Caltrop» - Chinese Name
Xingqiu | From Chinese 行 (xíng) meaning «Carry Out», «Execute» or «Travel» and 秋 (qiū) meaning «Autumn» - Chinese Name
Chongyun | From Chinese 重 (chóng) meaning «Layer» and 雲, 云 (yún) meaning «Cloud» - Chinese Name
Hu Tao | Hu (胡, her surname) can mean «Doing things out of order or recklessly»; it's also present in «Butterfly» (蝴) and Tao (桃) is «Peach Tree» in Chinese, associated with longevity, immortality, and a sacred object - Chinese Surname and Name
Qiqi | From 七 (qī) meaning «Seven» - Chinese Name
Baizhu | From Chinese 白 (bái) meaning «White», «Pure» and 朮, 术 (zhú) meaning «Glutinous Millet» - Chinese Name
Yaoyao | From 瑶 (yáo) meaning «Jade», «Precious Stone» or «Beautiful» - Chinese Name

Yelan | Literally «Night Orchid» in Chinese
Beidou | Named after the Big Dipper asterism, which is known in Chinese as 北斗 (Běidǒu). The name literally means «Northern Dipper». Interesting how it is also referred to as 北斗七星 (Běidǒu Qīxīng), lit. "Seven Stars of the Big Dipper" in Chinese. The North Star, Polaris, is located within this asterism and is used by sailors to navigate at sea. Yes, the name of the organization Qixing also consists of the same hieroglyphs, and the titles of the members of the Qixing are the same as the Chinese names for the stars in the Big Dipper

Yun Jin | Yun (云) means «Cloud», and Jin (堇) means «Violet (plant)» - Chinese Surname and Name
Gaming | From 嘉 (jiā) «Praise», «Joyful» or «Auspicious» and 明 (míng) meaning «Bright», «Clear-sighted» or «Honest» - Chinese Name
Xiao | 魈 (Xiāo), which derived from a chinese legend "魑魅魍魉” in which there is a group of demons. although its mainly four demons
Alatus | Literally «Winged» in Latin
Shenhe | Most likely from 申 (shēn) meaning «State» and 鹤 (hè) meaning «Crane» - Chinese Name
Xianyun | 闲云 (xián yún), comes from a four word idiom 闲云野鹤 - «Drifting clouds and wild crane» It means people who are footloose and fancy-free
Ganyu | From Chinese 甘 (gān) meaning «Sweet» and 雨 (yǔ) meaning «Rain» - Chinese Name
Keqing | From 刻 (kè) «To Carve» and «Clear/Sunny» (qíng) - Chinese Name
Ningguang | Literally «Frozen Light» or «Concentrated Light» in Chinese
Zhongli | 钟 (zhōng) translates to clock and 離, 离 (lí) - «To leave», yet together they form 送钟 (sòng zhōng /song jong), which sounds exactly like the Chinese words for «Attending a funeral ritual» (送终 -sòng zhōng) and thus it is bad luck to gift clocks or watches - Chinese Name (and an interesting game of words)
Morax | Comes from Duke and Governor Morax, the 21st of Goetia Demons
Ping | 萍 (píng), means «Tender», «Natural» and «Friendly» - Chinese Name
Guizhong | From Chinese 歸, 归 (guī) meaning «To return» and 終, 终 (zhōng) meaning «To end» - Chinese Name
Osial | May be a portmanteau of Ose, the 57th of Goetia Demons
Beisht | Is likely derived from the Beisht Kione Dhoo (Manx: "Beast With the Black Head"), a creature from Isle of Man folklore, where "Beisht" means «Beast» or «Worm» in Manx.
Marchosias | Comes from Marquis Marchosias, the 35th of Goetia Demons
Havria | Could possibly be a form of Havres, another name of the 64th of Goetia Demons, Duke Flauros.

Phew, that was probably the hardest one. There is still Inazuma up ahead, yet I at least have some knowledge in Japanese, while with Chinese names I had to look up every single one (I mean, I will double-check Inazuman names of course, it's just that I'm more sure about the meanings of some of them).

七大军校举办竞技比赛，每所学校派出5名正式队员（两组双人机甲+一个单兵）和1名替补，枫丹廷这边的队长那维莱特和副队长莱欧斯利一组，林尼兄妹一组，加上新生娜维娅，菲米尼替补。
所有人都说枫丹双璧毕业后会去梅洛彼得堡要塞服役授衔。那维莱特出身于古老的贵族名门，虽然是指挥系首席，但身手丝毫不亚于战斗类专业的学生，据说他曾将好斗的至冬选手达达利亚打败，对于那场对决，那维莱特不愿意提起，只说自己是出其不意，仅仅为了维护校园纪律才出此下策。
莱欧斯利的事迹完全是另一番模样——出身于白淞镇一带的潦倒��年 ，混迹在藏污纳垢的灰河水道，青少年法庭七进七出的传奇，最后竟能爬上单兵系首席的位置，与那维莱特并肩。实习记者夏洛蒂采访过他，问他是否是传说中的“地狱犬”，莱欧说哪有七进七出那么夸张，自己只是光速认罪好好改造而已，他没能跟夏洛蒂坦白的是，自己或许是秉公无私的那维首席的唯一污点。

-Hanyu is Y/N's younger brother, the two have been friends since birth and are quite close. Despite being under different companies the two are known for promoting each others music and spending time together whenever Hanyu is promoting in Korea or vice versa.
YOON KEEHO ( 기호 )
- The two met due to going against each other during the isac awards. They're definitely not a match you would expect, but the two are known to be close friends and have spoken about each other publically, stating to see each other as sibling figures.
NAOI REI ( レイ )
- Rei and Y/N met through a mutual friend and hit it off well, due to rei being the same age as Y/N's younger brother, she feels protective and caring towards the younger girl and see's her like a little sister.
GOU XINYAN ( 辛焱 )
- xinyan is the older sister of mingrui, a member of boystory, who’s the same age as y/n. the girls met through their younger brothers and clicked right away. Xinyan is a well known influencer and often posts vlogs that feature Y/N or boystory.

I would like to remind you that I have scheduled mainly for this month to post Custom Content of "Riku from Kingdom Hearts 3" set, tho that doesn't mean that if I can post another set, I will.
One thing I will post for sure is the last part of Sora's Kingdom Hearts 3 toddler set that I left in standby. Tho it will probably be the last one I'll share for ages other than the one character I convert or make, have (for example, teenager Sora in Kingdom Hearts 3 or teenager Razor in Genshin Impact, which makes it also suitable for the other more adult age ranges) since I put a lot of time into each post and custom images and are posts that aren't as well received, and therefore I don't know how much interest people might have in it. So unless you ask me specifically that you want a specific one for another age to share, I will spend that time that I use to make the posts on being able to move forward on hair and other things that I share with you all. Except for hairs, which of course I'll always make them for all ages (except infants that I have yet to see what is best for them).

A response to Submission #3466: Xinyan is literally Chinese, she is not black. No matter how hard you try, you can't erase that she is still Chinese. Her name is Chinese it uses these Chinese characters: 辛焱. 辛焱 is Xīnyàn. Breaking down her name, 辛 is spicy/hot, and 焱 is flame. 焱 is made by combining 3 火(fire).
I get you want black rep, but you aren't getting that by trying to overwrite a character's canon race with your own. Xinyan represents dark-skinned Asians.

Genshin player here who also speaks Chinese, Xinyan is a character from Liyue. Liyue is a region based off of China. Xinyan is a Chinese name using the characters: 辛焱 and the pinyin Xīnyàn. 辛 is spicy/hot, and 焱 is flame. The character 火 fire is what makes up 焱.
While her character stories say people are frightened by her looks, it is referring to her clothing style which is sharp and pointy, not her skin color like some people try to say. Her clothing style is not the usual style seen in Liyue which is why some people think it is frightening. People tried using this as an argument to say her story was racist against black people. They used the "people were scared of her appearance" as an argument to say the game was racist against black people.
Another reason people used to say Xinyan was black was cause she plays rock n roll. But reading her stories shows that she had traveled outside of Liyue and learned it, then she returned to Liyue to share the music with the people there. Unfortunately most people didn't like rock n roll.
Last and final reason people tried to use to claim Xinyan is black is cause of her specialty dish. They claim it is fried chicken and say it is stereotypical for black people. But it is really just a spicy chicken dish traditionally done in some Chinese recipes. The name varies so I don't have an exact one. I was just looking at the Labyrinth Warriors event again and thinking. ‘Sigh, I miss Childe’. And then I remembered that he’s just pickling somewhere out there in the primordial water. I don’t think he’s going to die but damn I am worried about that idiot.
I love Childe, especially in relation with the other Liyue characters. Zhongli is obviously a fan favourite (and I love the angsty interpretations of him getting involved), but Xinyan also really liked him, and I’m just imagining her finding out about it like ????? Bro are you okay??
