🌲 its the first day of december, and you had been down lately, so megumi decides to surprise you with the wonderful view of snow, the first snowflake you'd seen this winter. 0.7k [ prompt list ] [ day two ]

it had been bleak today, the wind windier than normal, and the air dreary with the sorry excuse for clouds. you had been waiting for snow since fall ended. it seemed like you were pretending the sun wasn't setting.

 it’s not really that megumi didn’t care, but he couldn’t understand why crystallized water was so exciting to you. he watched you as you watched the window, sinking his hands into his pockets, eyebrows furrowed.

it also seemed like you had been upset all day too, thinking that because december had rolled around, the snow would come. but it still hadn’t. megumi didn’t like seeing you upset, but unfortunately, he couldn’t make the snow start falling just because you wanted it to.

he sighed, crouching next to you where you were bundled up on the floor, staring out the window of his dorm, a big pout on your lips.

“y/n, come on…it’s getting late.” he muttered, not really sure how to console you. you look at him, your lip quivering. “gumi! when is it going to snow!” you asked, giving him your puppy-dog eyes, as if he was supposed to know. he half shrugged, gently pinching the blanket. “come on, you need rest.” but you shook your head, claiming you couldn’t sleep until you could see the snow falling. he frowned. “y/n, i’m serious.” he whispered, leaning forward to get a better look at your face.

your pretty face.

megumi loved your face. he loved looking at it, he loved when you smiled and your eyes crinkled, and he liked the way he could see the marks on your nose bridge, where the skin would wrinkle when you furrowed your eyebrows. he had looked at your face so often, that at this point, if you asked him to describe you with his eyes closed he totally could. 

you jut out your lower lip, but comply, and stand, holding the blanket as you do. megumi watched as you flopped onto his bed and curled into a ball, facing away from him with an angry huff. 

“wha…don’t be like that…” he murmurs, but his attempts were futile. it was no use, he sucked at dealing with things like these. he switched his position on the ground, crossing his legs and leaning against the wall perpendicular to the window, fiddling with the hem of his shirt.

the snow. he still didn’t understand. he hated the snow. the cold was just difficult, and snow always got in his way, but you loved the snow. you looked forward to it every day he was with you.

it was always: “megs, do you think it’s going to snow?” or “i can’t wait for the snow!” or “gumi can’t you just use your manly powers to make it snow?” that one was horrid, he almost choked on his own spit when you said it.

but when he looks up from his shirt, he sees it. the first snowflake this year, gingerly drifting towards the ground. his eyes widened. this is what you were waiting for! so he stood as quickly as he could and poked you in the side. 

“y/n, look.” he tried to get your attention, but you weren’t having it. you shook your head, making a loud “hmph” noise. “it’s snowing…” he tried again. this time you were up in 0.6 seconds (he counted!)

“snow?” you ask, your voice high with excitement. you don’t even wait for confirmation before you're jumping out of his bed and rushing towards the window, leaving your warm blanket behind. you pressed your face to the window, and there it was. the first snowflake touched the ground below.

you gasp. “megumi fushiguro! it’s snowing! we have to go out!” you were bouncing on your feet. he opened his mouth to complain, but you were already rushing out the door and towards the exit, bounding outside to feel the tiny snowflakes coat your hair and eyelashes, giggling with excitement.

megumi reluctantly followed, carrying your discarded blanket. he draped it over your shoulders and put his hands back in his pockets, a small smile teasing at his lips. you grinned at him, big and wide, so happy.

"cold?" you asked him. he shook his head, " 's okay, i'll make it." but you enveloped him in your blanketed embrace anyway.

if this was your reaction when it snowed, then boy did he want it to snow more often.

first a foremost, woe, Aries season be upon ye! -- shoutout to all the Aries out there. i'm scared of you 🙂.

when Aries season hits, Micky's 1H+2H placements will shine through: asteroids Eris and Sedna, but much more importantly his Venus! right now the transiting Venus is not within conjunction to his natal Venus, but when it does, it'll be absolutely beautiful: financial burdens lifted, love life is invigorated, increase in creative arts and, what i think he needs absolutely most right now, giving the self the love it deserves. until then, this transiting Venus in it's domicile 2H will simply do it's thing as the universe intends it, and his natal Venus in Aries will continue to be it's reckless & impulsive self.

other transiting planets in Aries currently passing through his 2H are Jupiter, Mercury which had just entered Aries within the last couple days, and the Sun will enter in too when Aries season begins on the 21st. the New Moon in Aries will also fall on the 21st, the beginning of the spring season, and will also pass by his 2H (for like a day or two -- the Moon only stays in a sign for ~2.5 days), which would be the prime time for him to clear out any emotional baggage's he's been holding on to that maybe he needs to let go now, whatever that may be, so that he can move forward with a cleaner slate!

second off, uh, i was wrong about Saturn's next retrograde (boooooo 🍅🍅🍅) -- it's actually gonna be coming up this June and won't end until November. it recently entered its shadow period on the 11th of March, which is basically a planet's way of pre-gaming its retrograde season as it slows its course down.

right now the Pisces Saturn still conjoins Micky's Ascendant, so it's not going anywhere else.

no, really, it isn't.

when planets retrograde, they not only do in fact change gravitational course within our solar system, but nataly it goes backwards as well. by the time the retrograde happens Saturn will be 7° in Pisces, still very much within conjunction to his Ascendant and also joining conjunction to his 17° Sun too, but the retrograde will slowly rewind the degrees until November when it returns back to 0°.

so, yeah. melancholic and cranky will be his natural state until sometime around early 2024. Saturn is limiting and asks for the individual to let go what is no longer needed, and when it's serious it is serious. this could be a very good thing, but what he needs to be most careful of is to not end up pushing the wrong people away and isolating himself, as Pisces is infamous for this. if there's one stark difference between Mike and Micky on an Pisces level, it's exactly this: Mike pushed, and Micky pulled. Micky has that pulling power and now is the time to be using it!

🌲 as christmas time creeps up, you and yuji decide to spend some quality time together writing up letters to santa. 0.59k [ prompt list ] [ day two ] [ day four ]

🌲 cw. childish themes, reader is gn, no pronouns used, reader calls yuji an idiot, mentions of a lethal amount of melatonin (don't take more than 10mgs guys)

with a long, dramatic, and very very loud sigh, you turn your head from the window to yuji. you were absolutely utterly bored, and this little brat was napping. it took every fiber of your being not to wake him up, because, wow, he looked so silly, you could totally use it against him. but also because he deserved it. 

it was hard to stay mad at him. but you couldn’t take this any longer.

“yuuuuuuuuujiiiiiiiiii,” you call, even louder than you sighed. still sleeping? you furrow your eyebrows. this kid was a deep sleeper. “yuji! itadori! wake up!” but he didn’t even stir. what the hell was he dreaming about?

so you resort to violence, shaking him as hard as you can, not even bothering to be gentle. megumi hits him over the head all the time, he’s grown practically immune. his eyes only squish together and he rolls over. 

“what…” you gawk, your jaw on the floor. there was no way. “did you take 3000 milligrams of melatonin? how are you still sleeping?” you didn’t even know what to do at this point. you looked back out the window, at the endless barrage of snow out your window, and scrunch up your nose. 

but suddenly, an idea rumbles in your brain when you realize it was december. christmas! you knew yuji believed in santa still. you thought it was a little childish, and megumi and nobara clowned him for it, but you also thought it was so cute. 

you rummaged through a drawer in the kitchen and pulled out two sheets of paper and some markers. you felt so dumb, but this was sure to wake him up.

“yuji! we’re making christmas lists! wake up!” and sure enough, he opened his eyes, instantly shooting up. hah. worked like a charm. if he had a tail, it would be wagging. 

“huh? christmas lists?” he asked, rubbing his eyes. “yeah, sleepy head. a letter to santa. do you know what you want?” you placed the paper on the table beckoning him over.

“ ‘course i do. been thinkin’ ‘bout it all year!” he replied enthusiastically, clumsily making his way over to you, running his hands through his hair. 

you gave him a once-over. “how do you sleep through all that.” she raised an eyebrow, pulling a seat out to start writing. he shrugged, immediately getting to it, not even bothering to sit. in only four seconds, he already had a list of at least eight things. his handwriting was messy and he wrote them down so quickly you couldn’t keep up.

“there’s no way santa can read that, yu, write neater!” you command, but he ignores you. then he flips to the back side of the paper and starts writing a letter.

“dear santa,” he narrates, sticking his tongue out in concentration. “i hope i did good this year. i tried to make everyone happy, and i really really want…” he trailed off, still writing. you tried to peek, but he shooed you away. when he seemed to finish, he tossed the pencil to the side and folded the paper in half as best he could. then he gave it to you and glared.

“you better not read that, y/n!” and you chuckle nervously. “yes sir.” you affirm.

It's December 15th, 🛰️ Venera 7 Day! On this day in 1970, the Soviet Union's Venera 7 became our planet's first spacecraft to soft land (well, kind of) on another planet – ♀️ Venus.

When it reached Venusian orbit, the Venera-7 lander separated from its main stage and slowly descended through the planet's atmosphere with the aid of a parachute. Meanwhile, scientists back in the Soviet Union realized to their horror that the lander had lost its ability to transmit data on all but one single channel.

Venera 7 continued descending, but when it reached an altitude of 10 meters, another disaster struck – the lander lost its parachute and hit the ground hard. The mission was seemingly over. The Russian 📡 deep-space control station in the Crimea was receiving nothing but noise.

Not to fret though. A week later came news from Moscow's Institute of Radio Electronics that engineers there had been able to pick out Venera-7's signal from the radio noise recorded after the landing. They deciphered a very weak signal and confirmed that for around 23 minutes after hitting the surface of another world, Venera-7 had continued transmitting sensor data – despite the fact that it was laying on its side in the dark with its antenna pointed away from the Earth! The hardy spacecraft had delivered the first measurements conducted directly on the surface of another planet!

Venera 7's discoveries about our mysterious neighbor shattered our dreams that this Earth-sized world might be an Earth-like planet. The surface temperature was 240°C – hot enough to melt lead. The air pressure was 93 Earth atmospheres, equivalent to an ocean depth of 800 meters on Earth. Hmmm, not exactly a "Goldilocks" planet. ☮️ Peace… Jamiese of Pixoplanet
