“ I saw him going into her house late Friday night. And then they left together Saturday morning. Pretty sure she fucked him because she’s been all about him since she started school here.”
Andy’s watching you and Gareth play fight over something across the parking lot. Gareth has you over his shoulder and he’s spinning you. You’re laughing and it’s loud. And when Molly says it, everything comes to a grinding halt. He turns to look at her. “You think they fucked?”
“Pretty sure of it, actually… I thought you’d.. Wanna know.” Molly’s shuffling her feet. Doing her best to look appealing to the stocky jock. Mirroring the way she’s seen you act around Gareth recently. Because she feels like if it worked for you… Maybe it’ll finally work for her. Maybe Andy will finally see her, standing in front of him. Hoping, praying and dying for a chance to be his girl.
“That all? You can go now, Moo.” Andy gives her an annoyed look and waves his hand away from him dismissively. “Go on. Go back to your little losers club.. Oh wait..” he feigns just a seconds worth of a sympathetic cringe, “They turned on you.”
“She caused it. I.. Andy, please?” she’s giving him a begging look and it’s one he finds pathetic. He chuckles. “You really want me, huh?”
“Yes.”
Andy steps closer. Staring down at the shorter girl. “I wouldn’t be with you if you were the last girl on Earth and I didn’t have a choice. You’re gross. Get lost.”
Molly’s shoulder slumps and the tears are stinging in her eyes. And as she rushes away somewhere, probably to cry, Andy turns his attention to you again. “She’d sleep with that, hm? She won’t want him anymore if I show her what a little bitch he is.”
Meanwhile, you’re trying to keep your bag of Doritos away from Gareth. And it was working, but then out of nowhere, he hauls you over his shoulder, in a show of strength that surprises you and turns you on, leaving you wet in seconds. Your breath hangs in your throat and Doritos fly from the open bag, scattering on the gravel. “You made me spill ‘em, Gareth.” you’re pouting as you try to look over his shoulder at him. Gareth is chuckling quietly. Face all red because he normally isn’t like this. But spending the weekend with you established these little… habits. And he knows that it’s Monday, that you’re at school now and maybe you don’t want him to keep at it with the playful way he started treating you, but he just can’t stop himself.
His fingers squeeze at your thighs and he bites back a groan. “You’re the one not sharin ‘em, bunny. You know I like Doritos. C’mon, just give me a few..”
“Fiiiiiine.” the word leaves your mouth in a whimper instead of normally and you want to melt right into the ground when it does. You slide down his body and hold out the bag to him, pretending to pout. “You know you probably left a handprint on my ass.”
Gareth nearly chokes on the chips he’s just reached into the bag to take because out of context.. His face burns even hotter. You step up into him and before you even stop to think that this is school and he might not want you doing it, you slip your arms into the warmth of the jacket he’s wearing over his plaid vest and Hellfire tshirt and you rest your forehead against his collarbone. Gareth’s breath hangs in his throat. And it’s about this time that Eddie, Jeff and Ethan finally see fit to arrive at school.
“It’s so chilly.” you pout up at Gareth when you’re finally not blushing too hard to look him in the eyes. “I didn’t wanna come today, y’know. We could’ve just blown it off and gone to my house.”
“Bunny, you gotta come. It’s school.”
“Unfortunately.” you’re still pouting and Gareth laughs, shaking his head. Eddie meets his gaze over your bent head and he’s rubbing his chin, amusement playing at doe eyes. “You two are cozy.”
“He’s warm. I’m not lettin go.” you answer without glancing back, your voice muffled by the front of Gareth’s plaid vest. Eddie snickers quietly. Looks at Gareth and mouths the question, “Are you really sure you want to die on the hill that she doesn’t like you, Emerson?” as he nods to you and the way you have your face resting against the side of his neck. Gareth gives Eddie a warning look and slips a handful of chips out of your bag, munching on them.
Jeff’s trying so hard to resist the urge to double over laughing because he has… Never seen Gareth this flustered. Nor has he ever seen Gareth attempt flirting in any way,shape or form except the rare stolen glance at his various hallway crushes over the years past. He clears his throat. “Are we interrupting something, man?”
Gareth flips Jeff off, gives him a warning look because he doesn’t want any of this to come to an abrupt end. You grumble about him constantly moving just when you get comfortable again and he laughs. “I told you to go to sleep before midnight.”
“You did.” you pout a little. “But I didn’t wanna.”
Gareth laughs, shaking his head. “Dunno what I’m gonna do with you, bunny.”
You shrug. You almost let it slip that you can think of more than a few things he could do with you but you manage to keep the thought safely in your head.
“What the fuck is he doing, staring over here?” you’ve lifted your head and caught Andy staring at the way you’re melted into Gareth to stay warm in the early morning chill. You scowl, stick out your tongue and raise your middle finger. “Take a picture, dipshit. It’ll last longer.”
But then you realize that it’s not just Andy staring. Because now Molly’s new little friends are all looking right at the two of you. And she gives you this hurt and angry look and you roll your eyes.

“She’s a slut, I’m telling you. When she’s done with Gareth, she’ll sleep with your boyfriends too. That’s totally why she moved here in the first place. I mean, she said it was just because she had to, but it was because everyone at her old school hated her.” Molly’s telling Anna, one of the popular girls who’s actually nice to her on occasion.
And it’s not true and Molly knows what she’s saying isn’t true.. But she doesn’t care. She’s just that jealous. That tired of everybody else getting everything she wants. Tired of being a target for endless teasing, everything from her weight to her sister dropping out at 16 because she got pregnant.
“Did she say she wanted to sleep with Chance?”
“She’s not gonna announce it, Anna, be smart.” Molly rolls her eyes. “She’ll just do it.”
Anna’s watching the two of you across the parking lot and she wrinkles her nose in disgust. “It’s just.. That’s gross? Who the fuck sleeps with Gareth Emerson, ew?”
“Poor guy is going to be crushed when she gets tired of him and leaves him. How do we know that she didn’t hook up with Andy when she first moved here, get tired of him and now she’s so mean to him..” Molly knows what she’s doing could backfire on her in a big way, but she’s got the attention of two of the three most popular girls in school.
Chrissy rolls her eyes. “How do we know it’s not just Andy being gross though? Because he is and we all know it.” and her gaze lingers on Molly thoughtfully. She’s sort of sensing what Molly is up to, after all, Molly’s exactly the kind of girl who will do anything to get what she wants. Including make up a lie.
,, she did this once already when we were kids.” the thought comes and as Molly’s saying more and more, Chrissy speaks up. “Why do any of us care about any of this again? I mean… if Chance sleeps with her, that’s on him.”
“But I don’t want him to sleep with her before I give it up.”
“If you were going to lose him, Anna..” and Chrissy is not getting a good feeling at all. Because Anna’s the one who always overreacts when she panics and Molly’s using it to her advantage, if she wasn’t sure about it ten minutes ago when Molly started telling them all this for no reason and with little to no context behind it, she’s sure about that now because of the warning glare Molly gives her when she speaks up and attempts to assert a little reason and common sense into the situation.
“I don’t wanna risk it. I’m gonna talk to her.”
Anna starts to walk towards where you stand with Gareth and his friends, as well as the three girls you’re always with.
“___, I need to talk to you.”
You raise a brow but you step away from Gareth, following Anna over to the picnic tables.
“Molly told me about you. If you think I’m gonna let a little slut like you sleep with my boyfriend… My ticket out of Hawkins at the end of the year.. You’re wrong and stupid.” Anna’s words have you laughing. Until you happen to see that she’s dead serious and then you look over at where Molly’s standing and your stomach sinks.
You know what she’s up to.
You rub the bridge of your nose. “What’d she tell you, Anna?”
Anna tells you exactly what Molly said and your fist clenches. “The hell is her problem?” you shake your head. “I don’t want Chance. Or any of those idiots, okay? Molly told you that to start something. Because she’s pissed. Andy won’t give her a backwards glance unless he’s being insulting or a total dick.”
“So you didn’t sleep with Andy?”
You nearly choke. “Huh?”
“She said that she thinks you slept with Andy when you first moved to Hawkins. But then you got bored and now you’re being mean.”
“Absolutely not. I’d light myself on fire if I had to choose between Andy and death.” you shake your head. Your stomach is churning and with a threat of a repeat of your old school and the bullshit you went through there hanging over your head, you shake your head and laugh bitterly. “I should’ve known not to say anything about the damn rumors.”
“Just leave Chance alone.”
“I don’t fucking want him. Are you fucking blind? Do you not see me attempting to be with somebody?”
Anna gapes at you. “You.. you actually want that freak?”
“He’s not a freak. And yes. Yes I do.” you admit, going quiet. “I want him. Like.. I think I might be in love with him.” and you’re feeling worse now because you just have a feeling.. Everything is gonna end up like it was at your old school. And by the time the rumor mill puts in it’s days work, Gareth’s not even going to be able to look at you without being totally disgusted, assuming every wild and crazy thing that gets said is true.
Because that’s how it always goes.
What you don’t realize is that Anna’s not the only one who heard your little confession.. Or any of the other things Anna asked you about. Or your answers.

Gareth is frozen, rooted in place. And he’s listening intently, getting angrier and angrier on your behalf with everything Anna seems to be accusing you of. But when she asks you if you really want him, he’s tempted to walk away. Because he feels like he’s better off not knowing the answer, he doesn’t want to hear you laugh.
But he can’t walk away.
When he hears you answer her question, it’s like everything going on around him disappears. His brain is frantically trying to process what he’s just heard you say out of your own mouth. And even hearing you say it doesn’t stop those pesky pessimistic little voices from taunting him that you have to be lying, maybe you don’t want to tell the truth because there’s the risk that he’ll find out.
This could be a long con, after all.
And he could’ve gone on believing it until you tell Anna totally unprompted that you think you might love him.
“Fuck.” the word slips out quietly and his hand settles against thick curls as he takes a very shaky next breath. Anna’s walking away now and you slip off the top of the picnic table, glaring at where Molly stands in anger.
Your fist clenches and unclenches.
Gareth is still making an attempt to process what he’s just heard you say so when you rush past him heading straight for Molly’s direction, he doesn’t try to stop you.
“Oh shit.”
“Okay, I think we need to get over there.”
“Or.. hear me out.. We could let ____ kick Molly’s ass. We could let her learn a lesson this once.”
“What lesson, Adi? That she can’t be an ugly person on the inside and the outside? She needs to pick a battle?” Edith asks.
“Edie, that was mean. And she’s not ugly, no one is. She just has a really nasty attitude.” Maria and Adeline say it in unison.
“She’s a bitch. Remember when she pulled this shit in second grade and got Chrissy in trouble? Because Chrissy was nice enough to invite her to her birthday party but then every time she tried to include her, Molly was just mean about it? Yeah, she deserves every single second of this.” Edith points out calmly.
Molly turns around and spots you, smirking. “Speak of the devil.”
You shove her back as soon as you’re within reach. “Go on, Molly. Tell everybody all at once. Right now. Let’s get this over with. Let’s settle your problem.” you’re shoving her again because you’re furious… and hurt. Because you told them about the rumors in the first place because you thought you finally had friends you could trust.
“I didn’t do anything!”
“Lying bitch.” you’re going for your earrings. “Come on, Molly. Tell everybody else what you told Anna. Like you think it’ll fucking bother me.”
“Ladies! In my office, Right now.” Principal Coleman calls out as soon as he spots the brewing confrontation. Molly shoves you back and she’s glaring at you. “I hate you.”
“You’re a bitch.” you shove her back. She raises her hand to slap you and you catch her wrist in your hand.
“Now, ladies.” Principal Coleman’s patience is wearing thin, you can hear it in the man’s voice. You turn and walk away, shoving through everyone to walk into the building. And you’re at least eighty five percent sure that the second you’re done in his office, you’re going home.
Because you’re not going to sit around and let it happen again. And you’re really not interested in spending an entire day fighting, either.

“Gareth? You okay, dude? What the fuck happened?”
Gareth rubs his hand over his face. “Shit.”
“What?”
“We need context, man.” Jeff speaks up.
“She..I.. There’s no way. She told Anna she thinks she loves me. I need a fucking minute, guys..” Gareth finally grumbles.
You shove past everyone and disappear into the building and Gareth takes off after you because now that it’s all sinking in for him, he’s well aware that you’re probably already assuming the absolute worst outcome. Because you’re similar to him when it comes to that.

Class has already started by the time Principal Coleman finally gets to the bottom of what happened outside. And you’re just glad the hallways are empty and you don’t have to look anybody in the eye. You can just slip out quietly.
And you do. Fuming and wiping away tears as you make your way back to your parents house. Because you’re angry and hurt, all in one.
The thing that bothers you the most in all this is that you were finally starting to feel happy. You were working up the nerve to write Gareth a letter and slip it in his locker. You were this close to having friends..
“And now I know why I don’t trust anybody. It’s my own fault, I never should’ve told them anything in the first place.” you shake your head as you step into your parents house and toss your backpack at the floor, bending down to toe off your shoes.

Gareth hasn’t been able to stop thinking about what he overheard you tell Anna that morning for the whole day. And lunch rolls around. He’s waiting outside the classroom for you to come out because he’s slowly working up the nerve to bring it up. To tell you he heard what you said. To tell you he feels the same.
The door opens and Edith walks past. When she spots him leaned against the wall and waiting like usual, she doubles back. “Do you know where ___ went? I haven’t seen her since this morning..”
“Wait.. she wasn’t in class? Shit.” Gareth rubs his hand over his face and takes a deep breath or two. “She probably left.”
“Why? Molly’s a lying bitch and everybody knows it now because me and that cheerleader, Chrissy? Yeah, her.. We told everybody the whole story in homeroom. Because Molly needs to learn to keep her fucking mouth shut. The girls got so mean she left crying, dude..”
Gareth grimaces. “Yeah, but so did ___.”
Edith rubs her face. “Probably because she thinks we’re all gonna believe the bullshit, man. Because she pretends she’s tough and everything, she really isn’t.”
“I know.” Gareth answers, dragging a hand over the back of his head. “I’m going over there.”
“After school. Give her time to calm down a little.” Edith gives him a grateful look. “I’m gonna get Adeline and Maria, we’ll go call from the payphone. Because if she thinks for one second she’s going to ditch us to deal with the assholes in this place, she’s wrong. I’m going to give her a piece of my mind.”
Gareth laughs. “Yeah.. do that.”
“Hurt her, Emerson, I’m breaking your knee caps.” Edith calls out to him before walking away, rushing down the hall to catch up to Maria and Adeline, your other friends.
“Your girl left, man. She slipped out after she left Coleman’s office. I was gonna stop her but she looked pretty pissed.” Eddie speaks up from beside him. Gareth nods. “Don’t blame her.”
“You should probably go.”
“I’m going. I’m going after school though because I think she needs space… And I’m still wrapping my head around.. You know..”
“Don’t be a pussy, Emerson. Go.”
Gareth mulls it over. Eddie speaks up. “I’ll stall the meeting this afternoon,dude.”
“But we literally just told Wheeler and Henderson we weren’t postponing for that Sinclair kid.”
“And we’re not postponing. We’re just starting a little later.” Eddie shrugs. “Go already.”
“I’m going.” Gareth takes off for the doors at the end of the hall that lead out to the parking lot.

“Like I said,” Bucky replied, “Wilson is good, but he’s not the second coming.” He shook his head. “You talk about him like he’s Hank Aaron reincarnated or something, when he’s really just an asshole,” he shot back, without thinking. “Yeah, he can field, yeah he can hit, but he knows shit all about what it takes to make a team work.”
And, okay, a tiny voice in Bucky’s head acknowledged that he was talking about an entirely different team — an entirely different kind of team. But he was all worked up (because any mention of Sam Wilson always got him all worked up, and he’d been having to listen to people talk about Sam nonstop all week), and he was too far gone to shut-up.
Or: Bucky gets caught trash talking Sam on a hot mic, and drama ensues.
5) Buffy Burnes Ph.D. the Scientific Illustrator Roommate [podfic] voiced by litrapod (litra) with the original fic by me (M, Canon Divergence, Crack Treated Seriously, And They Were Roommates) - Sam decides to take a break from Avengers business after Age of Ultron. He puts out an ad for a roommate on Craigslist for his new apartment in Delacroix. He gets one response from a "Dr. Buffy Burnes".

I've finally hit the point where I have to write the first fic for a fandom. I'm crying. There's nothing on Ao3 and I didn't bother checking FFN since I don't know how they tag CNs. Heroic Death System is so good, though. Maybe that's the problem. Its so good that no one ever wanted to add on. Or CNs just aren't popular. T-T All I wanted to do was read about Shang Ke BSing a reason for the change in behavior. But there's nothing at all. So now I'm going to have to write all the fics for it. I'll start with Arc 2 Redux since that Arc eats at me the most.
BTW, Heroic Death System is a Quick Transmigration story where Shang Ke has to have a Heroic Death as ordered by the System to fix the plotline that went badly thanks to the OG body. (Quick Transmigration refers to the Host being tasked with a mission and once its completed, taken to another world to continue on. Sometimes its to fix the plotholes, sometimes to "keep the plot on track". Usually in the case of the later, the Host accidentally gets the MC or target character to fall in love which derails the plot entirely. Whether or not there's penalties or workarounds depends on the System. Most of the QT novels I've read, in the case of romance, have the partner reincarnating across the worlds as well, so its still one partner. Usually it means there are Past Life Shenanigans in the background.) SK has a great internal thought process, its always funny. In the earlier Arcs he's a bit oblivious but he catches on partway through Arc 2. Also, it's a bit spicy in the later Arcs. SK ends up eagerly welcoming his lover's advances in the later lives even if he has to hold off for a while to stay in character. Each Arc is a great mini-story in its own right, if you like tragedy, with all but 2 Arcs having a repeat where SK can return and live a happy life with his partner. If SK gets a good score on his life, he can earn Rebirth cards that let him live with his lover's different incarnations. Also, there's Past Life Drama that comes up and makes it so there's suddenly Plot! in the later Arcs. It was pretty interesting. Good Angst, Hurt/Comfort, Time Travel (in some characters PoV), MPreg (in some lives), some Torture not explicitly described, Illnesses/Disabilities, Shapeshifters, Beastpeople, Sentinel&Guide, Fantasy, Cultivation, AlphaxAlpha, God AU and Ghost AU are the main things SK lives through. Also, his partner is very ... forceful isn't quite right. He loses SK every life in traumatic circumstances so his subconscious wants him to make the most of every moment, which leads to quick romance and ... OK, honestly, he's kinda yandere in some lives from past life trauma. He's very much the domineering CEO type in this, blended with yandere moments. SK is ok with this since he can get back together with his partner quickly in the new life and because his partner chills out in his redos since he stays with him. I'm trying not to give out spoilers for anyone who wants to read this later. Each Arc, not counting his redos, are about 10 or so chapters each, so they're good for bitesized reading. There's 275 chapters altogether, fully translated on snowycodex . com.
Anyways, I love the redo lives and I just keep imagining how SK explains his differences/BSing a reason for the change from OG body's actions. My Heart Beats For You (CW: brain tumors, heart diseases, car accident, kinda suicidal behavior(which occurs throughout the novel, i.e. the title)) has me in a death grip that randomly visits me a lot so I have high hopes I can write something good for it. I'm planning on having SK be "drunk" and whitewash his past to his lover and his friends. I have so much of the story he'd tell plotted out by now but I'm just going to have to figure out how to space it out and add in interruptions from the other characters.

1. How many works do you have on Ao3? Just one for now!
2. What’s your total Ao3 word count? 20,758. I know, it's not a lot but someday it will be! 🥲
3. What fandoms do you write for? Jojo only! No other IP has quite managed to move me into writing actual fanfiction for them since I was a teen.
4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos? I have only one fic: Ride or Die and it has 114 kudos as of now which I am quite proud of.
5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not? I do! In fact, I would leave regular comments on my favourite fics so when my favourite authors replied to me, I would absolutely lose my mind. So when I started writing my fic, I decided to reply to every comment too just like the writers I admire! 😊 Sometimes, I might be late in replying but I will reply to all of them!
6. What is a fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? Okay so, I have written a very angsty ending for Ride or Die but also a very happy ending and also, a middle of the road, bittersweet kind of ending. Point is that I love angst and I don't mind writing an angsty ending but would it be the best for my characters? Long story, short, I don't know what sort of ending I want right now.
7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? Same answer as question number 6. I don't know what sort of ending I want and it could go any way. 🤧
8. Do you get hate on fics? I don't think so but people do say that I take too long to update which I don't really consider as hate.
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind? I have written smut only once so far and I think I suck at it but I am not giving up just yet. I think smut is a very spicy way to add tension between your characters and also to thicken the plot. I like it when there are high stakes or serious consequences when two people just give into their primal urges. Praise, angst, forbidden love, will they, won't they. I live for the messy drama and dangerous implications a smut scene can cause.
10. Do you write crossovers? No. Never.
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen? No.
12. Have you ever had a fic translated? No.
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before? No, this is my first time writing anything in a long time so I'm still fairly new and unknown and I don't think I am a good enough writer to co-write anything with anyone. 😅
14. What’s your all-time favorite ship? This is a very difficult question because I consider myself a multi-shipper but I can tell you my favourite ship dynamic of all-time which is basically friends to lovers. Or reluctant partners/rivals to friends to lovers. I love ships where two characters get to know each other slowly over time and come to unconditionally support each other through thick and thin. So I suppose my go to ships are GyJo and BruAbba.
15. What’s a wip you want to finish, but doubt you ever will? I have a lot of wips which are essentially ideas for future fics but a lot of them will go unfinished because I feel like they go nowhere in the end. At least for Ride or Die, I have 3 solid endings to choose from.
16. What are your writing strengths? My writing strengths… I want to say world building? I get a lot of compliments for making my fic feel historically accurate. 😅 I don't think it's as historically accurate as I'd like it to be but I do a lot of research when it comes to the way things worked during the Victorian time period just to get me into that headspace and I think it translates somehow.
17. What are your writing weaknesses? I keep rewriting chapters and it holds me back from doing regular updates.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic? Accuracy is very important to me so I would probably attempt to write dialogue in another language but if I feel it's not accurate or faithful then I would find another way to get around it.
19. First fandom you wrote for? Naruto when I was 15-16, I was in the trenches defending a very unpopular ship back then. *shudders*
20. Favorite fic you’ve written? Ride or Die, my passion project. I can go around writing my favourite characters in every kind of AU out there but my brain will always come back to this one fic. 🙃

Moving on from that, I'm glad you loved the story so much. It's always wonderful to know that readers love what I write. Like yeah I mainly wrote for myself but the praise tho I feel it's unneeded (I'm always gonna be finding things I couldve done better 😂).
Honestly this story really took a life of its own. I say that with every smau tbh, I start with one idea and then by the end it's a different but still somehow similar idea that I started it 😂.
I'm so glad this YN is ur fave. She's struggling so much even if everything was okay cause her inner demons were always there, they didn't disappear and her learning to lean on those around her, accept that she is loved and cared for was very important to me.
I also was very cautious in that I didn't villainize YN for these very real feelings that everyone feels.
God knows I've been through moments of self hatred and I wanted to show that it's never as bad as you think. You might think your all alone but there is always someone there for you to talk to. I know that YN frustrated readers when she let her insecurities get in the way of her happiness but that is a reality that sometimes you get so in your head that you think what your doing is best when it isn't.
Sorry went on a whole tangent abt this YN 😂😅.

Oooh good question. I don't necessarily plan my smaus tbh. I just have the rough idea then it's chapter by chapter. Which if you've noticed is why chapter titles tend to change quite a bit cause I change my mind or this one idea doesn't work but this other idea for the next chapter works better.
I love txt and Soobin is my bias so I was always going to include him. Yeonjun and Beomgyu kinda just came along too. The idea to have them be triplets came and I ran with it. All three of them were gonna cause more chaos and strife with there being actual feelings still there with Sooyn but I decided against that after considering how much YN is dealing with low self esteem and self hatred. In the end I love the bond they have 🫶🏼🫶🏼.
If I can give another rec, I suggest reading Peace that's my other HP au but it's Jay this time and it's Gossip Girl meets Harry Potter. (I just wanna know your views on that 😂).
Take your time, the new Jungwon fic will be there just a word of warning, I'm sorry if Hyunjin is your bias... That's about all the spoiler I'll give you in regards to that smau.

There are already 10 chapters and this this story seems far from finished. There is a slow pace for updates but I'm sure we've all been there - I know I have.
Just a few words about the story: Tina and her classmates are now in highschool and in the Junior year (age 16-17; which is why there is the underage-drinking tag). It starts with a party and it's not much of a spoiler, that it's obviously Zeke she goes to "play" seven minutes in heaven with.
It's also no spoiler that after that their friendship grows and they slowly fall in love.
In between there is a lot of drama because for example Tammy thinks she still likes Zeke and knows Tina likes Jimmy Jr. but Jimmy Jr. is a jerk and not good for Tina and so Tammy tries to show that but also Tina and Jimmy Jr. would be such a cute couple but somehow Tina and Zeke are hanging out more? And then there is the fact that Jimmy Jr. runs with a new, mean crowd and has changed which influences his friendship with both Zeke and Tina. Also they are all teenagers. Meanwhile Bob and Linda are super supportive and Tina and Zeke try to balance their relationship with all of that.
So, there is a lot of drama and a lot of tension.
It's basically a better version of every teen drama because it is well written and about characters we already care about. Personally I don't care much for teen drama anymore but I still want to know what is going to happen because there are a lot of plot hooks and I look forward to see them all intervined in the end. Also it's sooo fluffy.
There isn't much not to like about this fanfiction.
If I have to point out something then, that maybe there isn't much of Gene and Louise so far. But it's very understandable because there is already a lot going on and the focus is on Tina and Zeke, and a second thing and that is a tip for every fanfiction writer out there: if you want to put a divider in your fic, don't add more than one to three symbols!
Because if someone uses a screenreader it can be exhausting to hear dash, dash, dash, dash, dash, dash, dash,... or asterisk, asterisk, asterisk, asterisk, asterisk, asterisk, asterisk, asterisk,...
That being said, everyone go read "Little Earthquakes" by laterpaladudes, leave kudos and a comment, because it is really enjoyable!

Can you recommend any other magi fanfics?
TLDR: no
I don't read long form Magi fanfics anymore because I don't have the time. I still read some one shots, short stories, and musings on Tumblr that I'll reblog here going forward to share the love. They're p much all Xreader so you know.

I'm not into any of the popular ships, so most of the fanfics out there aren't for me. And once I started writing for Magi I stopped being able to read most of the longer fics I was reading (even ones by friends). I started juggling too many cannons in my head and struggled to keep my own in order. Which is part of the reason there are such long gaps between a lot of the chapters. Even now I'm playing catch up and untangling what I got confused from reading other long form fanfics while writing.
There's a bunch of people in the Magi discord I'm in that write fanfiction. I was reading those a lot when I realized I was struggling to keep up with my own fanfic. I liked their OCs a lot too so it's really frustrating that I can't read them and still be able to write.
There is one person's Magi fic I would recommend because I love their writing, but they haven't posted it publicly so I can't.
Weirdly, when I was younger and writing for the KH fandom I could still read other fanfictions while writing, but only if they were other OC driven plots.

Even though I left the Miraculous Ladybug fandom like 6 years ago I still read some fics for it. My favorite ship of all time to read fanfiction for is SoulXMaka from SoulEater; I don't care if it's platonic or lovers or whatever, I just love their dynamic so much. There are some Castlevania fanfics I like too.... So I can give some recommendations for those if you want them.

Edited to add: Thinking about this more, I realized I struggle to read the same genre that I write in general :/ I mainly write comedy, but mainly read drama. I can read comedy, and like having it in whatever I read, but it can't be one of the main tags. And I can add drama to my story, but it can't be the main focus for long. I'm not sure how this new knowledge about myself makes me feel.

Oh my God, it's so far and in-between that I find someone who can write really good Knightfall fanfiction instead of just smut, and I thank you for that. It's a shame that this ship isn't more popular since I always feel like I'm in an extreme minority. I still like other ships, but God, there's something about it all that draws me in: enemies-to-lovers, the angst and drama, the weird sort of Courtly Love it invokes, the Slow Burn...
I'm new to this blog, so I hope you don't mind if I ask a question that you've answered before, but what are your hopes for Jaune and Cinder's character development (like, concerning them getting together)? I'm kind of hoping they develop traits that end up mirroring one another to reflect "convergent character growth" or something; I also really hope that their designs do it as well, like maybe Jaune gets heavier armor that has black/gold on it or Cinder has to use a new sword that looks suspiciously like Crocea Mors. What about you?

Yeah I'll level with you: I seriously ship Knightfall, and not as an experimental sex scenario or as a crackship (it's not remotely a crackship). It's kind of funny when people assume that it's cracky or it's only something I'm into for the sex angle. I don't multiship, this is what I am totally and completely into, I'm extremely serious. This is serious business. Thank you for also (from the sounds of it) being the same as me because sometimes it is a bit of a struggle lol. I'm really flattered you enjoy my fic, that means a lot to me honestly. It started out as a bit of a lark because I figured nobody else shipped it the way I did (I also get the intense heart twinges from OTP's, so I don't know how normal other people are about it) and maybe like one or two people would read my fic lol. My favourite part so far about sharing it has been getting messages like this from other people who feel the same way. It's so much fun and makes me very happy. Edited to add here: but I should add the disclaimer I do write smut... I don’t knock on people who write smut, but for me I usually like my smut exploring character too... I just want to sound self-satisfied or superior here. XD
On the note of courtly love, I'm not sure if you've seen me actually tag a Knightfall post courtly love BUT I HAVE, they're literally knight and Maiden. I love that so much thank you I'm so glad you saw it in them too lol. They really did that with the Maidens. *keyboard smash* ugh! But also I made a post recently about the troubadours and the Wound of Love (which imo also applies to B/umblebee, and probably R/enora, and probably Ro/segarden in the future) and it's just the intersection of all the stuff I love!!!!
And yes by all means, I welcome asks anytime about this ship, even if I've answered an ask before, my thoughts may have evolved. It also helps me on the front that I'll go back and refer to old posts and sometimes I surprise myself. I'm working on a bigger post at the moment about the ship as it stands in canon, and I have talked a little bit about how Jaune feels about Cinder before (can't find the post currently). But there are a few things I think that foreground the way their character arcs are related to each other (if I had to give you a scattershot - and most specifically their character arcs I'm discussing, not narrative structure the way I've done so before):
They're anima and animus (this is also like BB and RN, arguably RG as well), so reconciliation in some way is necessary, and so far in the show all anima/animus pairings have been romantic. All the entrappings of anima/animus is my favourite kind of stuff. I'm thinking also on the front of Campbell that to be compassionate and to empathise is also to be metaphysically be somebody else, which is why I find Jaune empathising with Cinder (and vice versa) compelling and also fitting on this front.
I think that in answer to Cinder's character, she needs some sort of unconditional offer... to my eyes, there are two possible characters who could ever get through to her (I specifically exclude Emerald because Emerald can never approach Cinder on honest humanistic terms since their partnership was a business transaction at best and I'm not sure if that's her role): Ruby and Jaune. Ruby has the initial hump because of her silver eyes. So it does lead me here and now to briefly speculate if he'll be involved in any way with her Grimm arm purification... I take that as a foregone conclusion that it's going to happen. I do generally hold they'll have an interaction with the Fall Maiden's Relic, because they fit the Indecisive King allusion a little too well - and I don't think the Sword of Destruction is any of his business.
I love that idea of convergent character growth and I think that's a great way to articulate something I've been trying to do so for ages. Cinder's highest point and Jaune's lowest point have both been respectively met in the same volume. Cinder's very clever and lies to Salem (her first rebellion), she's got the Relics, Ruby's dead and can't hurt her (YAY!), she didn't even go after the Maiden power, she thinks she's back on her manipulative game and now she's turned it on her master. Meanwhile Jaune is a healer and now a killer. So, I really, really love the way those character arcs can be read as growing together.
I think that there are answers to their issues inside of each other... and I also think there are a lot of similarities between the two of them. A pairing where one of them needs unconditional love and the other is ready to dole that out is catnip to me (particularly because he moved past his anger and vengeance in V5, he's set up to be in a position to give her more contemplation). When I think about what I would call the 'I want you to join me' moment, Jaune wouldn't be doing it because they need the Fall Maiden on their side, that's just the side boon because she's magical and awesome, the idea there should be that she is wanted unconditionally. I think she should find unconditional freedom and transformation on the side of Good. By the same stroke I think that Jaune can explore/reconcile his darkness and the things that he's done through her, like what he did was necessary for Penny, but it was painful. It's also a shock to his identity.
Kind of following off the first and last point... the greatest wound for Jaune (Pyrrha's death) is one committed by Cinder, but equally, there is a wound inside of her/and also given to her by him at Haven, and I think the greatest reconciliation for everything she has been through is him, and vice versa. "The wounds that can be healed only by the weapon that delivered the wound. [...] Well, the wound is the wound of my passion and agony of love for this creature, and the only one who can heal me is the one who delivered the blow, you know." Jaune's great fear that his teammates won't return/will die is soothed by Cinder's return, the one who could still come back (depending how far you want to go... she's in a state of metaphorical death), Cinder wants someone who will come back for her and take her with them (Rhodes never committed to this and was a very bad fairy godmother), and Cinder's moral, spiritual evolution can be realised this way.
On the aesthetics front: well, I have to admit... lol... I am... really crackpotty about this. Like, I think Cinder's metallic transition colour will be silver (like Ruby) from gold, which mirrors Jaune's transition from lead to gold. I also think her pin is her redeemed!outfit colour theme (the warm blue and the warm purple - stressing the warmth and that Blake's purple is cold, like shadow) which also works on the heart of the flame front. It... also very nicely matches Jaune's colours. You have orange and blue, and yellow and purple. Which is a RWBY thing for the ships. (Red/green, yellow/purple...). I don't think Cinder's final colour is the all-black ensemble - that's her transitional outfit. But yeah to tinfoil further, Cinder's always had the blue/purple pin, Jaune has always had the orange lining of his hood (her Aura is orange and so are her eyes) so like.... I'm happy if they keep that, honestly, but yes, if they both incorporated black and white as the extra accents (as Jaune already does) that would make me happy as well.
You can also see in my fic what I think about their weapons... I like the idea of her using a shield. XD They already mirror each other this way in canon, no one else except them use traditional weapons without guns/extra accoutrements attached. That was always suspicious to me. So I think on that front they probably don't need to do anymore to make them more like each other. I have this internal perception that Cinder and Jaune are like sword and shield (her consistent use of swords, his of his shield), so I like it a lot.
To wrap my post up: thank you for sending an ask and thank you for reading my fic! It's so lovely to hear from readers and also somebody similarly enthusiastic about the ship. It's a bit tough being a Cinder fan and a Knightfall fan lolol (I've made my bed), which thoroughly narrows down my interaction... I think the only thing I've really not liked about it is the perception it's a crackship, as well as very divergent interpretations of their characters I don't get along with, but otherwise the smaller fandom has been a lot of fun. (:
Seriously Knightfall just has everything I've ever wanted in a ship ever, I mean I love RWBY, I love the setting, I love most of the cast - so I don't have to be bogged down by boring characters when I'm writing a romance - I love fairytales, I've had to exercise some of my Greek to do Knightfall research, I love magic, I love bad guys and I never thought I'd get a villainess like this, or a hero, I love anima/animus (and it's clearly being textually used), I love the Wound of Love, I love ALL of that, so it's just the perfect storm. They're both my favourite characters! Independent of the ship! as well! There have been ships before where only one character interested me more than the other, and there was extra legwork to be done, but they're both very good, and even before Knightfall their scenes were my favourite scenes lol. So I'm very invested and it's a lot of fun.

Hello Authortnim! I'm a new writer on tumblr and I was wondering if you have any tips for newbies like me?
I’m just a small blog but I’ll try to help you anon to the best of my abilities! I came up with a few things to share as I tried to put myself in my old-selfs shoes when I first started writing.
First and foremost I want to encourage newbie writers and those who think about becoming one to not be afraid to share your content with the world as you never know who will use your wonderful imagination as an escape from the outside world.
Just like writing makes us writers disconnect from work/school and other means of drama in our lives it helps us relax by typing out new ideas and share our work. It’s a two-way street! As a reader, you feel the same way when you discover a work that makes you forget your problems. Those who write often started with reading first.

TIP 1, FORMAT
It’s mostly networks (we’ll talk about them later!) that require you to make sure you place warnings, pairings, word count etc before the beginning of your fics but it helps the readers greatly to identify your work and see if she/he is interested in reading your story based on these things.
I noticed that new writers just copy-paste the story and click post which often results in having few likes and reblogs because the readers get intimidated by the raw text offering no insight into what they should be looking forward to. If I just think about an everyday example to point out why it’s important let me ask you what you look at first when you pick up a book in a bookstore? The summary right? You get a glimpse of the storyline the characters, the genre. You make your pick based on that.
I’ll create a list down below and explain shortly why it is important to tell these things.
Title – It’s optional, I sometimes do this and other times I just place the title of my fic on my banners. It helps the readers identify your work by name so make sure to always put a name next to your fics/series.
Genre – There’s a lot of genres you can choose from, the popular three is (angst, smut and fluff)
Angst: when a fic is angsty it means that there’s a conflict, a misunderstanding etc that will make the reader feel sad for the characters or sympathise with them. The technical definition of the word is the concept of feelings of great anxiety or dread.
Fluff: the opposite of angst, it comforts the readers and makes them coo it’s often cute scenarios or sweet little gestures, love stories etc that can be considered fluffy.
Smut: Mature content (+18) which means the fic contains sexual natured acts.
The most popular other genres are: strangers to lovers (S2L), friends to lovers (F2L), enemies to lovers E2L) and AUs like Supernatural AU, Vampire AU, Arranged Marriage AU, (AU – stands for Alternative Universe) basically anything could be an AU so don’t be afraid to play with concepts and create your own tags and AUs.
Summary – The summary is important to catch the attention of the readers, It could vary from long paragraphs to one-line summaries. Whatever floats your boat! A small #tip if you have difficulty coming up with a summary: make it a sneak peek. Choose a few lines from any part of your fic and let that speak for you!
Warnings – If your writing contains triggering or sexual content make sure you let your readers know! It’s very important. The more detailed description the better. It’s common just to state ’smut’ and leave it at that but I think it’s important to let the audience know what they should expect in that scene, what kind of kink is involved, if it’s protected or unprotected sex, even if it’s vanilla. Use. Your. Tags.
Word Count – This is just as important as the rest. It makes a huge difference to know if it’s 1k or 30k+. If you use word documents for your writing at the bottom you could always check the word count so it’s not taking you too much time to figure it out.
Masterlist – It’s optional as well. If you have a masterlist then link it before your fic and after your formatting so the reader can check out other stories that you’ve written. (Masterlist is a list of your fics that’s normally broken down to members of the band that you’re writing for, you can check out mine for an example if you’re confused.)
Credit – Never forget to credit who helped you! If you requested a banner make sure to name and link where it’s from. If you’re not confident in your banner making skills you can always opt for a moodboard, it’s easy to make but gives a little character to your post. (I use this online editor for my moodboards.)
Author Note – It could be anything you would like to add. I personally like to read the authors thoughts before the fic, it’s often funny that puts a smile on my face. You can talk about anything story related or not but make sure to not write too too much because that would result in the readers skip it if you make it too long. It’s an optional point as well.
TIP 2, READ MORE
It’s another pet peeve that I’m sure a lot of us have here. It’s tiring to scroll through 3k+ words so use your read mores if it’s longer than 500-800 words! I use ’read more’ when my word count is over 1k. Believe me, if someone is interested in your story she/he will click that read more. Next, let’s talk about the placement.
It’s a common place for read more to be at the end of your formatting. If you use a browser to post a fic then all you have to do is click on the last option that appears as soon as you click into the white space to start your text post.
#tip If you want to use read more while you make a post on your mobile all you have to do is: type :readmore: in a new paragraph and then click enter it should appear right after!
TIP 3, NETWORKS
Let’s talk about networks now! They are dedicated to writers and other content creators to get more recognised by sharing their content. There are ones with open tags but most networks are sharing the content of their members. To become a member you need to fill out applications but make sure to check if they’re looking for new members or not at the moment!
There are networks dedicated to different groups (or members) so apply for those that you’re writing for. There are multi networks too that reblog content from different bands as well.
After you’re accepted all you have to do is use their tags and wait for them to reblog your fic, #tip use the first three tags for networks because it’s more likely that they see your post and reblog it sooner!
TIP 4, FOLLOWERS
It takes time to gather your followers, all you need to do is share your content and cherish those who like it.
Don’t worry about how many likes or reblogs are on your posts. Unfortunately, there are more silent readers on Tumblr than those who reblog and leave nice comments but there will be always readers who share how much they like your stories. So don’t get discouraged things will come to you eventually.
TIP 5, ASKS
It’s a form when your readers can engage with you. What I want to say in this paragraph is that there will be nice and not so nice comments but hopefully, all nice people will come to you. Don’t feel obligated to reply to everyone, reply to those that you’re comfortable with and share what you’re comfortable with.
Don’t share personal information like your address or your full name. The internet can be scary so always be cautious!

NEXT! I actually have a few multi-fandom comfort reads right now for all my current ships, if that's okay?? I like sharing great reads in other fandoms I'm a part of since DBH and Red Dwarf are kind of tiny fandoms, lol, and since I'm a rec blog, never hurts to help those people also get traffic from an unlikely source, hahah. I just don't file them as diligently as I do with Johnlock, so apologies for the tags.
Let's do a top 20, and I'll start with Johnlock obviously, and then give you a few from each of my other current fandoms, if you are willing to fandom jump! Some are probably obvious, and maybe not, but I hope you enjoy all of them!
