I think it's interesting that they went in different directions for Movie vs Book Boromir. Because from a story-writing stand-point I can understand why the movie did was it did, since Boromir's fall needed to make sense and they did not have the luxury of time and insight that the book does. But it's also interesting that Boromir's demise in the movie is painted as something inevitable, as something that is because he was not as pure of heart as the others are - while the book tells us the opposite. He fell because his heart was good. He fell because he loved too much. And love is strong, and Boromir was strong because of it - and the Ring corrupts those who have strength

They know that could lead to a lot of anger and tears, which was why they had asked if Liam could be with Emil and Flynn.

Lucas: Will you tell me what you're doing, I can feel you are nervous. River: Ah, tattle tale that connection. -he smiles, opening the door for Lucas to enter Vy and Hayden’s living room- Lets just say that it's something you need to know. Lucas: That does not make me feel much better…

River sighed but meeting Vy and Hayden let him off the hook if only for a little. They had put the book on the table, and instead of waiting too long, they simply jumped into it.

Fanfic idea of the day:

Yoko okino is a member of the black organization. Her name is merlot. She's an assassin that's more or less retired to finance for the black organization after she became a big pop idol.

She has a soft spot for Mouri Kogoro and his family. She discovers Conan investigating and knows he will bring danger to his family and tries to get him to stop but he refuses and thus she begins to protect him.

Only Conan knows that there is another black organization member helping them out, he doesn't tell yoko who the moles are and she doesn't ask. But she does help them out when she can afford to.

She gives Conan heads up when there is a plan to kill kogoro (episode 425)

Ends up becoming friends with Vermouth because they both tried to protect ran and conan (episode 345)

Will add onto this later.

“When someone in need tries to push you away, you have to find the strength to hold on tighter.”

This motif in DD s03 makes me so angry. It kinda echoes what Frank told Karen in that diner, about using both hands and holding on tight to the people that hurt you, because those are the ones closest to you. And it's kinda brave—to let yourself love another despite their darkness—but it's also messed up and toxic when this holding on is as one-sided as they expect from Karen.

Throughout TP s01, she's been listening to Frank when he's willing to open up about his pain and his anger, and she tries to hold onto him, to make him see reason, to help him any way she can, even when that kind of honesty hurts, when the kind of emotional connection they have is so unbelievably raw. And she never gets that in return, to open up and be comforted by someone who knows and accepts her darker parts. (he compensates by leaping in front of bullets lol) I mean, sure, every relationship has periods when one person needs much more support than the other, but it's not sustainable long-term.

And now Frank is gone. Karen's gone through hell: murder attempts, being kidnapped, killing a man, Matt turning out to be Daredevil, being taken hostage twice, Matt presumed dead, being almost blown to bits twice, Foggy moving uptown, her financial troubles as she tries to cover Matt's rent, and now Frank is gone too, and Fisk is out of the prison, and she's connecting all those dots and seriously freaking out, and nobody believes her, and there's nobody to give Karen a hug. She has only just started to talk about her family to people, she's barely started to heal from her past, but she has no real support network. Her problems are multiplying by the hour. She cares so much about truth, about people, that by the time Matt drops by and wants her help (no flowers, no 'please') she's burnt out caring. And yet she's expected to support Matt? The guy who never held on to her? Because it's the morally right thing to do?

God dammit.
