#so i voluenteer at a library n work there through a 3rd party job center over the summer. ive volunteered there for like 5 yrs so i know -- #--the staff there p well #anyway yeah so like last year our pride display got taken down bc someone complained. our director didnt really contest this. #our pride display got taken down again. this time with the board threatening to cut funding if we put it back up. #no contesting yet again #its literally just the corner of a 3 sided display podium with some gay books or whatever #some guy comes in and tears up our lgbt author rec list. the director removes those as well #there r 2 bi clerks and one genderqueer clerk and me! the fag gopher and she still doesnt feel it pertinent 2 stick up for the ppl who-- #work there #or maybe she does right? like i want to believe she does bc ive known her for 5 maybe 6 actually years. ive gone to christmas-- #parties at her house. shes been someone i can count on before and yet here she is letting us all down #bc its not just me or the gay ppl who work there right its for the ppl in my shitty fucking southern town who have basic common decency #shes someone i thought was some kind of ally HAHAH...like that term feels lame but #.....yeah yknow? #she even said shed be moving picture books with gay parents and shit into a quote quote adult matters section into the juvenile section #i assume on request of the board bc obvs being trans or gay or whatever is of course an adult matter that will taint our beautiful little #tow headed bastards #we even had the guy who requested the pride display be taken down come in today and CHECK to make sure no faggy books were out #ive been very angry about it and i just need to ...spit it up somewhere. maybe a transformers blog isnt the best place for it but whatever. #sorry about my language lol. #shes my boss and its going to be a real issue for me bc she laughed saying id have to start cleaning bathrooms this year and i legitimately #--nearly had to leave the room. like haha really funny. glad you can laugh about shit. did you know im a fucking queer.

something so fucked up about Chat Noir’s whole deal is that he is in a lot of ways Adrien playing a character. Like Adrien picked up his miraculous and was told he’d be a superhero so he was like “ok, time to act like a superhero!” and he lets himself have fun w it and play up the role and let loose and kind of just allow himself to be silly and goofy and have fun and for once in his life not care about performing Perfection™.

But. But none of the other characters KNOW THAT. So everyone just sees Chat Noir and is like “look at this guy’s ego. He’s so full of himself. Surely it’d be fair to knock him down a few pegs” without being aware of how few pegs he actually HAS. He’s like the “insecure character who overcompensates in ego” trope except he’s really not doing it unironically, he’s just having a fun LARP pretending to have self worth in his off-hours but nobody else is on the same page about it being a game and he refuses to tell them. He just dramatically pouts about it and lets them laugh and pretends like he’s not internalizing it and it is almost 3 am and my brain forced me to write this instead of sleeping I’m gonna take a melatonin

#writing this my brain was like: what if he actually likes it? #what if he likes people openly criticizing him in ways nobody actually does to Adrien agreste? #because Adrien Agreste is perfect and can do no wrong. maybe he enjoys being insulted or something #and then I remembered chat noirs multiple breakdowns about feeling unworthy and yknow what yeah I don’t think he likes it LOL #do normal people actually fall asleep when they lie down #if you can’t tell I recently decided to make my random ml musings your guys’ business instead of keeping it to myself #hope you enjoy

tbh I really like the idea of married Adrien and Marinette adopting their kids. Both because it's kind of a flex on Gabriel and Emilie (who thought that the appropriate response to difficulty conceiving was to hunt down ancient magical artifacts and then create a magical son that they could puppeteer and control...... because adoption/surrogates were apparently.... beneath them. or something.) but also because I just think it'd be really cute.

Like, imagine Ladybug and Chat Noir, heroes of Paris, adopting Parisian orphans. imagine Marinette and Adrien struggling to get on the good side of a "difficult" traumatized child who used to spend their days in the foster system fantasizing about Ladybug and Chat Noir saving them without realizing the new parents trying to connect with them rn ARE Ladybug and Chat Noir. Imagine them fostering kids themselves and just being A+ stellar parents between Adrien's patience and Marinette's attentiveness and both of their affection. idk I just think there's a lot there and it could be sosososo sweet

i genuinely would like to see a study on how the fuck the hannibal nbc fandom has remained not just active but thriving online when the show ended in 2015. other more recent shows have come and gone in the years since then but we’ve still got new fics and art and posts happening daily?? how does that happen
