So many hours of lifting very heavy things and sorting thru so many art things.

The only difference btwn a professional artist and a hoarder is that a professional artist should have a massive spreadsheet with an inventory of all of their stuff for accounting/sales/contracts/taxes.

Btwn the heavy lifting and the 5k I zoomed thru in the cold after sundown, my body better sleep like a log tonight.

Anyhow: I now have a paper closet!!!!! I am so excited!!!

(Still hard to use any surface in the office / art studio bc every surface and much of the floor is covered in crap waiting to go into all my new shelves and drawers)

#don’t ask why I still have EVERYTHING from my years #at art school — just prior to applying to day-gig #but indeed I do #well #culled most of it #was interesting to look at my progress #from studenty stuff to where I was 3 years later #fuck I cannot believe how many years it has been #since I left academia to go full time art #(note: I was at an arts highschool when #in my teens so left aca to go back to my first love)#bc reasons #Hooboy- so many thoughts in my head based on what #my eyes have seen sorting through a decade of #18inch X 24inch pads of art paper #(all paintings I still have possession of are in storage)#(hmmmm… and there is even more paper to sort thru #I cannot even think of how many drawings I have done #in the past decade)#yeah— still having thoughts about my style #but coming to a resolution of sorts #at least for 2023 #hm. yeah.
