Those little touches that scream intimacy

Skinship is a thing.

BTS show physical affection with each other, they hold, hug, touch each other in ways that would perhaps raise an eyebrow for some, but within their cultural context are not a sign of ‘more’ than friendly affection and closeness.  Although, I do have to say that BTS do stretch the boundaries on that one too.  Some of the touchy feely is beyond what you would expect it to be among grown male friends in Korea as well.  But they did grow up together, in a sense, and although it’s a little more than usually accepted, it still is not an indication to anything more than a very close friendship.

But JM and JK, they have these moments.  Two types of suspicious moments.

These moments when they pull back on the touching, the almost touching or touching but just... barely. Those moments where you are sitting there and screaming at the screen (in your mind) “fucking touch him already”, which presents as highly suspicious considering how close those two are on the one hand and how tactile they are on the other.  

And then you have these moments where it’s more, it’s suspicious, it’s not something that you would expect between just friends.

So I thought I would put bring together, in one post, some of these moments.

Moments they do something, touch, almost touch, behave in a way that makes you go “this doesn’t look like something ‘just a friend’ would do”, or “heck, those two must be really intimate for this to be happening”.

I guess I started with a big one. What is it they say? Go big or go home? Whatever JM was doing there with his wiggly wiggle finger during that interview was not something just between friends. It just wasn't.

No matter how close you are with your friend, him playing footsies with your crotch is not something you would allow him to do, well unless if you are not "just friends".

Here it's JK's reaction. If it was ok for a "friend" to play footsies, if said footsy playing did absolutely nothing for him, we wouldn't be seeing that reaction from him. That gulp. Man. He was hit hard, probably in the full sense of the word, lol.

Less about JK's toesies just lightly touching JM's leg and more about the physical reaction the two of them had that followed. Suffice to say that the room was getting real hot for the two (which is also why JK running to put on a big covering coat was pretty funny).

It's not only the fact that JM is touching JK in these more intimate areas, it's the lack of reaction (well almost lack of reaction...there are those reactions that you just can't help) from JK.

Rose Bowl of course.

No matter how much people will try to twist this up, it takes a special level of intimacy to take someone's sweaty dirty ear into your mouth and suck on it, for 4 seconds straight. And then end it all with a light kiss on the ear.

I guess this one is a given too. I've heard the stories about brotherly neck sucking and nope, I do not buy that. Not one bit. No matter how the story is told, JM put his mouth on JK's neck, exactly where JK's mole happens to be, and sucked on it hard enough to bruise it. Yep. Not something you do with a "just friend".

It's about being used to be in that kind of proximity. Muscle memory. The lack of an initial reaction, and only pulling away at the very end. And it's not for a skit or game. It's all them. That smirk on JK's face in the 2019 TMA's and the BV2 moments, priceless.

JK just moving that pesky crop top aside to caress JM’s waist/hip skin on skin, a little smirk on his face when he moves in, JM mostly non reacting although if you do look closely you can see a tiny little smile there towards the end when JK starts playing with his fingers on his bare skin.  This screams of two people who are physically intimate.

Episode 7: Still Purple

The song Butterfly starts and I know this episode is going to be hard to watch because I'm already tearing up.

This is a long post. Apologies. There's a lot to say about it.

They are talking about what concert memories mean the most to them:

Hobi says it was their first stadium concert at the Rose Bowl which was the most significant memory for him as far as which concert was the most memorable.

Jungkook says it was Chicago when it was the first time they'd ever performed in the rain:

Jin says it's when they perform IDOL that is his favorite concert memory.

Jimin says even though fans would see what he's talking about through photos but in real life, what they see from the stage is so beautiful, words can't do justice to describe it:

They reminisce about their concert at the Olympic Gymnastic Arena and recalling the emotions they felt then, that they had reached the top in 2016 are a very precious memory to them

Concerts are what they were made to do. Their type of performance, the big choreography, the big songs... big performances... belong on the live concert stage.

And now we're at the series of concerts that were to be their last before they really embark on Chapter 2: PTD Las Vegas.

BigHit/Hybe pulled out the stops for this one. The city of Las Vegas was all in and being the party city it is, it was one of the most fun and extravagant things I've ever witnessed.

I 1000% regret not going. I didn't know it was going to be the last chance for a long time.

They get to do things like attend a few concerts and visit the Bellagio Fountain when the fountains of water are set to the rhythm of Dynamite and Butter. I know Hobi has a video of Jungkook and Tae vibing to Dynamite at the Bellagio Fountain on his camera roll! Show it to us Hobi!!

Jimin, Yoongi and Namjoon went to the Silk Sonic concert.

I think it's curious that they do not mention the 2022 Grammy performance or event at all. When they left Seoul for this trip on March 28, 2022, Hobi was not with them because he had tested positive for covid prior to departure. Jungkook wasn't with them because he'd left the day before for the purpose of a work schedule but I don't remember what it was, and upon landing in the U.S. he tested positive for covid and had to quarantine until he had a negative test.

They were to perform at the Grammy Awards show on April 3, 2022. They were missing two members up until the day before the performance. Thankfully Hobi tested negative in time to catch a plane to Las Vegas:

And after all that, they gave a performance of a lifetime during the Grammy Awards:

Anyway... I digress... just curious they make no mention of it at all...

Jungkook brought his boxing coach (Coach Tommy) and this might be the workout he was doing prior to joining Hobi, Tae and Jimin for that Vlive following one of their concerts.

Jungkook says the only thing he regrets about the previous 10 years was that it took him a while to realize certain things and then put them into practice.

Namjoon wonders what it would've been like had they ended things after ON and Yoongi reflects that they would've taken a break from November 2020, if the pandemic had not happened and they would've been on a break for about two and half years (for enlistment). They didn't expect the pandemic to go on for so long (none of us did).

Namjoon wonders if he stayed true to the lyrics he wrote in ON while living his life. He thought they were running straight ahead all this time but as it turns out, they had gone in a circle and were back at the starting line. He contemplates what to do to run forward again.

The last PTD Las Vegas concert is bittersweet for all of us. So much has happened to culminate with this.

Tae says it's time for them to organize their thoughts so they can come back with a better image and performance and they aren't saying they are done, they are saying they've worked hard and now they need the time to grow.

And then we see Jimin in the car, on the way home after their last PTD Seoul concert on March 13, 2020. He is on the phone inviting someone over. Guess who?

It looks like he's taken a shower. He shows us a pot of fish cake soup his dad made for him. Jimin prepares three place settings, fetches 3 bottles of soju, and pardon me but the fact Jimin has a can of spray cheez in his auxiliary kitchen changes everything for me.

Why is he consuming that and why does he store it above the kitchen sink in is extra kitchen? Why do these expensive apartments have two kitchens? Jimin barely needs one kitchen but he has two...

Anyway, Jungkook arrives and they proceed to eat and drink.

While they are having a conversation about what time they go to bed and wake up, Jimin says he might sleep until 4 pm and then this ensues:

When Jungkook makes the remark that he sounds like Yoongi, off-camera, you can hear someone stifling their wheezing laugh. Staff camera man is in on the joke and the documentary editors are too as they cut briefly to Yoongi eating take out chicken.

The editors were wrong for that! HAHAHAHAH!

Then Tae and Namjoon talk about and show us their living spaces and how they feel living on their own.

Namjoon is very particular about his space and he says its very precious to him. He says the way one curates their living space speaks a lot about their personality and taste. I agree 100%. He says he wants to show us his space so we can know what kind of person he is.

Tae says he decorated his own space, commissioning art pieces for it. He has an extensive collection of vinyl records and puts on a yellow vinyl disc that appears to be Betty Wright, a recording of a live performance. He says boredom can be a given when living alone and he says he looks for Small but Definite Happiness in his daily life. SDH. We should all strive to do that.

Then we're back at Jimin's and Jungkook is cooking more food, chopping vegetables. FYI, that Miele induction cooktop is about $3,500.

Watching Jimin retell the story of when one of his friends pointed out that he seemed depressed, was not himself, was one of the most revealing things we've ever heard from Jimin.

And now he feels he's in a very healthy place. I'm gonna elaborate on this in another blog post when I'm done with this series.

All in all, the members had to learn to live alone after living together for 8 years or more for some of them.

Yoongi reflects on running so hard in their 20s. He wonders if they shouldn't have enjoyed themselves more and not let the pressures become overwhelming. Regardless, now that he's reached 30, all those worries and thoughts have disappeared and he feels liberated.

I've realized some of these interviews for these episodes were conducted on the day they traveled from Seoul to Las Vegas because they are wearing the same clothing.

Alexis Nikole Nelson

Alexis Nikole Nelson is a queer actor, writer, producer, social media marketing manager, and forager. Born on March 27, 1992, in Columbus, Ohio, Nelson sang in the children’s choir at her father’s Baptist church at just three years old. At five years old, she began playing classical piano and throughout her junior high and high school years she sang in her school choirs.

Nelson graduated with an honors diploma in 2010 from Walnut Hills Highschool, a college preparatory school for grades 7-12, located in Cincinnati, Ohio. While attending Walnut Hills, she was involved in a wide variety of extracurricular activities including the Senior Choir, and Women’s Ensemble. She was also captain of the varsity bowling team and played on the tennis team. Nelson was in the Culinary Club, Junior Classical League, and President of the Cappies chapter. She was also a National Merit Semifinalist at Walnut Hills Highschool.

Nelson studied environmental science and theater at Ohio State University, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Theater in 2005. During her time at Ohio State University, she was involved in many extracurricular activities including the Acapella Alliance, OSY Quidditch League, OSU Ukulele Club, and Hall Council. Nelson was also a member of an American National Theatre Honor Society for participants in college theatre, called Alpha Psi Omega.

In 2016, Nelson worked part time as an English teacher for EF Education First Teachers, an education management firm based in Shanghai, China. She taught online English classes to students ranging from elementary to advanced, around the world.

In April 2020, Nelson rose to internet stardom when she gained over 600,00 followers and earned 10.3 million likes on her personal TikTok account, where she shares her extensive foraging knowledge. The first video she ever posted about foraging garnered 40,000 views overnight. She also showcases her knowledge of cooking with wild plants on her TikTok account. Nelson mixes her environmental science education with her theatre skills, producing humorous and educational videos that both entertain and educate her followers on how to reduce their environmental impact. Nelson is a vegan and her TikTok videos showcase foraged plant-based meals.

She attributes her love for the outdoors to her parents and two sets of grandparents who fostered her interest in exploring the outdoors at a very young age. She began learning about growing plants outdoors at five years old while gardening with her mother on weekends. In her early childhood, Nelson also attended a Montessori school that was environmentally oriented, which she credits for allowing her to explore her love for foraging and nature more deeply.

Nelson continues to foster a love for music, particularly singing and ukulele playing, and incorporates those interests into her TikTok videos from time to time.

Author's Note: So this on was super fun. I also added in a little cliff hanger in case i want to do another one. Let me know what you think? Your comments are super motivating and i really enjoy getting them.

The world knew you for your bright smile, witty remarks to invasive reporters and your impeccable ability to catch a pass. 

You were the top wide receiver in the NFL, the number one pick of the 2020 Draft, and the player with more receiving yards and yards after catch than any other. 

You had shared the elation of the Bengals fans when you were drafted to your childhood team, determined that you would pair well with Joe Burrow and rehabilitate the team's reputation. 

You and Joe were doing just that. 

It was weird going from an Alabama wide receiver nobody, to someone that everyone thought they knew. 

The inner circle of people who did know you was small, and at the top of the list was your favorite midfielder. 

One who stole your Crimson Tide T-shirts and Bengals workout gear. One who no one would guess was into football but who absolutely loved watching you. One who you were determined to make your wife one day (she would wear your Super Bowl ring better than you ever could). 

You let out a deep breath, holding your striped helmet in your hands. 

You just had to win it first.

Rose was nervous. 

She paced back and forth in front of the television, her Bengals shirt tucked into a pair of matching shorts. 

This was the biggest game of the year, and she was stuck at camp instead of across the country in a stadium. 

“Relax Rosie, they’re leading,” Emily grumbled, rolling her eyes at the midfielder. “Just enjoy the halftime show,”

Rose glared at the defender, biting the edge of her thumb. “For now,”

It was hard to relax when you were being bowled over by every d-lineman on the field. 

“And they’re a second-half team,”  Lindsey added easily, tossing a piece of popcorn into her mouth. 

Rose ran a frustrated hand through her hair. “I know,”

You had said that she didn’t know how many times, and each time you had been proven right. 

But it didn’t stop her worry, just like you always worried when she played. 

She felt a little piece in her chest loosen as you appeared back on the screen. 

“And Y/L/N is on fire,” Kelley pointed out as your statistics appeared on the screen. “She’s on track to break the receiving yards record,” 

“She’s fucking sexy too. Did you see her in those pants?” Emily asked as they pulled back for a wide shot that showed you talking to Joe. 

“They’re not as nice as the black ones,” Lindsey hummed, tossing a piece of popcorn at her girlfriend. 

Rose paused. Your ass did look great in football pants. She had thought that since the two of you were in high school, but other people acknowledging it rubbed her the wrong way. 

She was the only one allowed to stare. The only one allowed to touch. 

“Maybe the three of you shouldn’t be objectifying her,” She grumbled, crossing her arms and settling onto the bed. 

Kelley shrugged. “I think her arms look amazing in the white. Makes her biceps pop,” 

Rose rolled her eyes at the older defender. 

“Wonder who the girlfriend is,” Lindsey said. 

“I think she mentioned her by mistake,” Rose bit back. 

You had been tired after the chiefs game. Exhausted enough to comment that you were going to “take a nap with your girlfriend”.

It wasn’t that the two of you were hiding, you just enjoyed your privacy, and she hadn’t let you live that slip down. 

“Whoever she is she’s one lucky duck,” Kristie said decidedly, stealing the popcorn from Lindsey and plopping down next to Sam. 

“She’s not lucky when her girlfriend is up against people like that,” Rose grumbled as the defensive line was shown on the sidelines. “Don’t you see how huge those Defensive linemen are?”

The room shared a nod. You looked absolutely tiny next to the fully grown men. 

“The chargers are going to have to do a better job of shutting her down if they want to win,” Kelley said thoughtfully. 

Despite your side, you had been impossible to stop, and if her team was going to stand a chance, they needed to shut you down.

Murmurs of agreement rippled around the room. 

“Get ready, because they’re fielding her, Mixon, and Higgins,” Sam said, grabbing some of Kristie’s popcorn.

You grit your teeth as you got into position, your lip curling at the defender in front of you. 

They had been rough during the 3rd quarter, even though they were winning, and you expected that trend to continue. 

“Hut hike!” 

You didn’t even look at Joe as he commanded for the play to start, rushing past your defender and cutting right in front of your quarterback. 

You picked your head up, catching the ball as it zipped towards you, and turned. 

10 yards

20 yards

30 yards. 

You were almost at the end zone. You almost had the touchdown that would even the score. 

And then your run was stopped in its tracks.

Rose couldn’t breathe. 

First, she had been on her feet, watching your insane 60-yard run, and then…  Then she was on her feet staring at your limp form on the field. 

It was like all of the air had been sucked out of the room, like an anvil had suddenly been placed on her chest. 

A defender, she wasn’t sure what his actual position name was, had tackled you from behind while another had gotten you from the side. They had hit you so hard that your helmet was sent flying and you were suddenly careening head first into the ground. The defender on your legs hadn’t let go so he had landed on top of you, practically bending you in half. 

She had never heard a stadium go so quiet, especially when the camera zoomed in on your agonized face. At least the soccer cameras panned away from hurt players. 

Tears streamed from your eyes as the players were slowly pulled off of your clearly broken body. 

“No,” She breathed out, her hand gripping her shirt right above her heart. 

“Holy shit,” Emily said too loudly as your helmet rolled into the end zone, and you turned over on your belly to wretch into the turf. 

Lindsey made a noise of agreement. “That was nasty,” 

Rose didn’t have a comeback. She didn’t have anything to add. Both of their voices sounded like they were underwater. 

She was too focused on you. On how your shoulder bent at a strange angle, and you couldn’t stop heaving. She was too focused on how the medics and your teammates hovered. She was too focused on how she wasn’t there. 

“Rose you need to breathe,” Kelley’s voice broke through her spiral, and the warm hand on her shoulder grounded her back in reality. “She’s going to be ok. She’s got medics and some of the best doctors in the world. It’s going to be ok,” 

The midfielder's eyes met the defenders, shocked by the understanding she found there. She wasn't hiding her relationship, but she enjoyed the privacy of not everyone knowing. 

With how much you gave up, she held it dear. She didn’t want to give that away just yet. 

“The NWSL needs to up their game,” Kristie commented, seemingly oblivious to Rose's existential crisis. “Why do we get one Medic while they get 5 fully decked out EMTs?”

“Y/n looks like she needs them right now,” Lindsey mumbled, tossing a piece of popcorn into her mouth. 

Rose grimaced at the observation. 

You did look like you needed them though. 

“Looks like they’re going to take her off the field,” Kelley said soothingly, her hand squeezing Rose's shoulder. 

“Yeah, Chase is gonna come in for her I think,” Emily agreed offhandedly. “Looks like they’re going to put them at 5 and goal too,” 

Rose nodded. She knew the protocols by heart. She had read and re-read the team handbook to make sure she knew, just in case. 

She knew that within half an hour she would be notified. The team would pay for her plane ticket if you needed surgery. The team would take care of it. 

She just had to wait.

“Just relax Y/n,” Matt said as you tried to push yourself off the stretcher. 

You sent a glare in his direction when he pushed your still padded shoulder back down. You winced at the action. “We’re going to call Rose and Duke is going to buy her a ticket,” 

“I need to be with the team,” You argued, trying to sit up despite the fire it sent to your chest and ribs. 

This was the super bowl. You needed to be on the field, helping your team win. 

“You need to let us take care of you,” Matt scoffed, carefully helping you pull your pads over your head. 

It was excruciating. 

“But-“ You stuttered through a wince. 

He sighed, carefully cupping your neck. “You have a concussion, and probably a broken clavicle. Let me call Rose, and we’ll get you all taken care of,” 

His eyes told you to stop fighting, as did the way his whole head seemed to spin as he spoke. 

“You’ll call Rose? Was watching,” You asked again, your words slurring slightly. 

“Yeah, I’ll call Rose,” He agreed, glancing at the pacing paramedics. He wouldn’t tell you how worried he was that the concussion symptoms would only get worse, or that your collar bone was poking through your skin. “we’ll get her here. Just relax and let the medics do their jobs alright?”

“You gotta bring me the ring,” You said, your eyes going wild. 

You needed the ring to propose to rose who was on her way. It was your plan. 

The head trainer sighed, unwilling to tell you that your team probably would not be taking the Super Bowl. 

Not with the turnover on the end line and Matt Stanford’s touchdown pass. 

“Yeah kid, I will. Just relax,”

Rose had never imagined being in a charter flight without the rest of the USWNT or you, much less a Jet decked out with orange and black. 

But she couldn’t relax, even in the luxurious leather seats. 

Not after receiving a call from your team’s owner, detailing how they were going to get her across the country and to you before you went into surgery. 

She hasn’t even had time to answer Emily, Lindsey’s and Mal’s questioning looks before the car whisked her away. 

Kelley had walked her to the car, offering a simple reminder that she was there if Rose needed her. 

She almost wished she had asked the defender to come with her. To offer some kind of stabilization to the pitying looks that the flight team and security were sending her Way. 

But nothing was as bad as having to walk into the hospital by herself. 

The media was all over the town car as soon as it pulled into the parking lot. 

“Security will come and escort you in,” The chafer said softly, glancing up at her in the rearview mirror. 

She blinked up at him, making eye contact for the first time since she had entered the car. “Thanks…”

She paused, suddenly realizing that she didn’t know his name. 

How could she have been in a car with him for an hour and still not know his name? 

“Ethan,” He said, smiling kindly at her, his eyes showing all of the pity he felt. 

The kindest thing he had done was allow her to spend the ride in silence. 

“Thank you, Ethan,”  She said, eyeing the security as they stepped up to her door. 

“Anytime,” He nodded. “Tell Y/n that we all hope she feels better,” 

Rose hummed in agreement before she stepped out into the media frenzy, thankful for the Bengals security flanking her sides. 

It only took them 10 steps to get her into the lobby, but it was enough to give her a headache. Still, she was shocked by how well the emergency doors blocked out the wall of sound. 

The difference was enough to give her whiplash. 

She shook her head, running a hand through her hair, taking a step toward the receptionist. 

“Hi miss, can I help you?” The young lady asked very sweetly, looking up from her computer.

But suddenly all of Rose's words were stuck in her throat. 

“I-“ 

“Rosie, hey,” A warm hand gently touched her back, and she couldn't help but lean into Your teammate's warmth. “We got a private waiting room, it’s back this way,” Joe said softly, nodding towards the receptionist. 

She let him guide her away from the woman, and down a long hallway. 

He leaned close to her, pulling her tighter to him, trying to comfort her in the only way he knew how. Emulating what you would have done. 

“She was awake and talking when we left the stadium,” He said gently, rubbing her shoulder as they arrived at the waiting room.

“She wouldn’t stop talking about you,” Matt added, standing to greet her. 

This was never the way he wanted to see a significant other. 

Rose nodded, wringing her hands together. “Can I see her?” 

The men shared a long look before Matt nodded. “Yeah, absolutely,”

The trainer paused just outside of your room, grabbing Rose’s arm gently to stop her. 

“She looks rough, but she’s going to be ok,” “I just want you to be prepared,” 

She gulped, “How bad is it really?” 

“She has a nasty concussion,” The trainer sighed. “And a broken Clavicle. It’s an open fracture so it looks pretty nasty.”

Rose frowned, her brain running a million miles a minute, trying to catch up. You weren’t just hurt. “That’s why they want to do emergency surgery,” 

Matt’s lips formed a thin line as he nodded. There was a reason he hadn’t told the team how bad it was yet, and the owner of the team had sent a private jet to pick Rose up.

“She wouldn’t consent without seeing you first,” He said softly, grimacing at your stubbornness. The only thing you would let them do was give you painkillers (you had begrudgingly let them give you something stronger than Tylenol). “She’s pretty doped up,”

Rose bit her lip, staring at the door, her head bobbing slightly in acknowledgment. It was just so you to decline surgery until you could see her. 

Matt chuckled at her expression, patting her shoulder. “Go easy on her. She wouldn’t shut up about you,”

Rose nodded again, sucking in a deep breath as Matt swung open the door to your room, trying to keep her tears at bay. 

She had decidedly not been prepared to see you. 

Your arm was held close to your body by a sling, and gauze covered every inch of your shoulder, stretching onto your chest. There were wires all over you, and on your head was a solid white knit cap. She wondered idly what was underneath it, probably more gauze and stitches. 

“Oh, Baby,” 

You blinked up at the gasped words, a blinding smile breaking across your face when you recognized Rose. “It looks worse than it is,” 

Her frown deepened at the slurred words, and how slowly your features seemed to move, despite your chipper tone. 

“Your collarbone is outside of your body,” She scoffed, stepping further into the room, and leaning in to peck your cheek. 

You whined softly when she pulled away. You pouted to show where you actually wanted her to kiss. She rolled her eyes but complied. 

“A technicality,” You mumbled against her lips, stumbling over the word, your lips getting caught on the l.

She chuckled, pecking your lips before settling back into the chair on your good side, deciding that arguing with you would be fruitless while you were clearly still out of it. 

Plus she took comfort in the silence, broken only by your breathing. She liked listening to you breathe, even when you were both home, safe in your own beds. 

It was one of her favorite pastimes, to watch you sleep. It was the only time your serious nature seemed to relax. It was something she had done since college.

It was something she wanted to share with her friends and teammates, but she wasn’t really to share the you that you were with her with anyone else. 

“You have m’ ring?” You asked suddenly, staring at her with wide, wild eyes and breaking her out of her thoughts. 

She blinked at the question, using a hand to keep you from trying to sit up. 

“No baby, just relax,” Rose said, her voice taking on a gentle tone she rarely used as she straightened the cap on your head. “They’re gonna come to get you in a few minutes and get you all fixed up,”

Your eyes squinted adorably as you tried to process her words, letting her guide you back to your lying position. 

“Then ‘uddle’s?” You asked, reminding Rose of a child. 

She hoped they came to take you to surgery soon, so you could wake up and actually recognize who she was. 

She didn’t like how out of it you were. 

“Yeah baby, we’ll cuddle,” She reassured you, kissing your forehead, carefully rubbing the side of your chest not covered in gauze. 

You closed your eyes and sighed, relaxing into her hand. 

You were quiet for a few long minutes, ignoring the nurses as they got you ready for surgery. 

“And m’ ring,” You said, blearily blinking up at Rose, clearly not recognizing that it was her, when the nurse closed the door a little too loudly. “‘otta p’pose ta Rosie”

She blinked at the slurred admission, one she was clearly not meant to hear. 

You were going to propose. With a ring that you didn’t have. 

Butterflies erupted in her stomach, but she pushed them down. She needed you all in one piece if you were going to propose to her. 

There would be time for that after they got all of your bones back inside your body. 

“Don’t worry baby, we’ll get you all fixed up,” She hummed, kissing your head very gently again. 

She would wait until you were out of surgery and awake to chase this new information. 

“Tell ‘osie her Bengal waited,” You slurred as the nurse came in. “And that I won for her,” 

“Don’t worry baby, she knows,” (way more than she should).

BigHit and BTS are not ypur typical K-Pop label/group and they never were. From the first day they debuted and their (or rather Bang PD’s) strategy was to showcase the members as their real selves (minus the assigned stage personas), as in they filmed a lot of logs on YouTube just talking to the fans about their real thoughts and such. Bang PD encouraged them to write their own feelings into their music, and their music has been defiant to the norm since day 1.

BTS have been shunned by the industry to the point they had to make their own reality shows to better express themselves without prejudice, while continuing to film every step of their journey and keep track of almost their every waking moment to show the fans what kind of people and artists they are.

BTS risked getting blacklisted by their government twice because of songs like Am I Wrong? and Spring Day, mind you these were released when BTS were still a 3-4 year old group that was barely starting to get recognized by the industry.

In Jikook's case, they have been close since day 1. They slept in Jimin's bed, they stayed behind to practice more then sleep in the lobby together as to not wake the members, they were 'all-nighter buddies', they kept getting closer each year to the point they grew inseparable and you'd see them always together in b-t-s content like in memories. They got paired together during shoots because of their insane chemistry. And it reached a point where in 2019 after the Rose Bowl ear incident, Tkkrs mass emailed the company and spammed Twitter with hashtags asking them to "stop the gay fan service" but BigHit didn't give a damn and continued showcasing them as a close duo because that's what the reality is.

Only in 2020, BTS worldwide popularity doubled because of Dynamite and a new wave of fans started getting to know BTS and with that Taekook grew even more popular individually and as a ship (as did every member and duo but Taekook grew bigger because they're the youngest, and have arguably more Euro-centric fitting visuals) and BigHit started caring more about the international audience as opposed to the Korean audience how it used to be (notice how K-armys have been complacent in streaming for the past 3-4 years because most of them are mad BTS are giving western ARMYs more content and performances and English songs). So BigHit started banking on Taekook and started pairing them in ads, shoots, highlighting them in choreographies, songs, and in memories. But Jikook remain undefeated quantity and quality wise, why? Because they simply spend more time together that can be kept in content. That is probably why you saw that Taekook ITS talk and why Taekook content stopped getting edited out as much after that. They're still a meh duo in terms of chemistry to be honest with you, and that's probably why they'll never be used as much as Jikook for fun content. Like imagine being one of the editors and you have to edit every DVD down to like 40 minutes or something and you have to choose between clips of Taekook just sitting there or Jikook being fun and playful? I think it's an obvious choice. But I can still see that they're making more effort into keeping as much as Taekook content in possible to appease to their audience. I don't envy yall honestly. And before you tell me that I ship Jikook based on company content that the company chooses to leave in, I don't. I'm not a Jikook shipper I just enjoy their bond and I can see their chemistry and from a business perspective I understand why BigHit chooses to leave in their moments (even the most controversial ones) because it's fun and entertaining and it causes discussions. And it doesn't really matter who thinks that their chemistry is legit and who thinks that they just play it up for cameras, Jikook have great, great chemistry and it far surpasses anything I've seen of Taekook. And I've seen a lot of them two in the past 3-4 years.

Well I agree that BTS is different. They are honest and open as much as they can be, but that does not extend to their relationships.. at all. I think there’s a huge amount of space between being different and totally ignoring cultural and societal standards.

But you do see that what we see is a choice. And I agree, that Tae and Jk’s interactions are probably less entertaining to watch than that of Jkk. Jkk are loud and boisterous and full of energy. While Tae and Jk are often more relaxing and a bit more on the background. That is an actual choice the company made.. and one I think would have been made even without shipping and possible relationships. You are quite wrong about when they started to include Taekook footage again, since the amount of Taekook footage in their earlier years was evident, followed by a real decrease when things looked to be getting more serious, and starting up again when things settles down. Jk prefaced the the uptick in Tkk footage in ITS. That’s because it was indeed a decision made, and not because the suddenly talked things through. (don’t even get me started on your mention of their more Eurocentric features, because they are very clearly asian, and your reasoning here would actually fit my ideas more than yours. Because apparently the company does mingle in what they show.. it’s just not a case when it comes to their relationships?)

As I said.. the difference is whether you think Bh would show or hide an actual queer in band relationship. Look at another ask I received just now (hi other anon!)

<- is making insane decisions about aro/aspec “picnic” at pride next year.

The plan was originally to have it be completely unofficial and just me in the dc pride festival on an aro flag picnic blanket with some crafts but idk my mental health is crashing and making these things/organizing this may help. idk i want my future to be in community organizing so. it makes me feel good. anyways onto what i was talking about:

So. im deciding if i want to be someone with a table or not, if i want it to be aro or aspec, or if i want to have pride stuff available for donation only or not (aka no money accepted). (idk what to donate towards. maybe just explaining that i made all of this with my own free time/ money and any extra money will get donating to ace and aro advocacy project- which i think is located in the same city as the pride event- or AUREA? or just outright donating but… this all sounds really expensive which im anxious about but. i am okay with outright donating if thats a better idea idk)

I’m not sure if a table costs money or anything, but I dont think aro culture and aro pride should be locked behind a paywall. If I have aro pride stuff available, it would likely be:

bulk purchased silicone rings. the packs of rings dont just come in white, and almost always contain black, but id just have all the colors in a bowl with a sign about the meanings of black and white rings

diy low quality stickers. and im talking printouts and packing tape level quality. id probably also reach out to some aro/aspec artists if theyd be okay with me printing some of their designs for free pride stickers with their @ on the back. again, no profiting off their art, just having subtle aro/aspec options for closeted folks. also obviously the pride flags themselves/ like the heart emojis and stuff. if i get permission for the <2 i also think thatd be funny to have. id try to print off as many of the specific arsospec identities as i could, too.

some mini pride flags. like on the little stick and stuff? i already reached out to somebody about aplatonic and the new aspec flags. these will be on display at minimum, but im tempted to see how much bulk purchasing to give away for free would cost

Happy Birthday the super sexy Scottish actress  Michelle Gomez.

Michelle was born as Michelle May Romney Marsham Antonia Gomez in Ayr in 1966, and grew up in Glasgow. It was cancelled in July 2020 due to the covid pandemic, I wouldn’t write off it being picked up again in the future, some sources are erroneously saying a series 5 is due soon. 

Michelle has been on our screens in The Flight Attendant, series based on the 2018 novel of the same name, it’s on HBO Max in the States, I must admit I’ve not got round to watching it as yet, the show was originally meant to be a mini-series, but a second series was commissioned and it was shown in April this year. It’s not known whether there will be a third series as yet.

Fans of Michelle and the Superhero genre will be pleased that they return to HBO Max in December.

No doubt we will also see her return to Dr Who someday, I certainly hope so. Gomez has been married to actor Jack Davenport since 1st May 2000 they have a son together. Of him she said 

“Jack wasn't my type at all. I thought he was too young and too posh and I told him that. Plus, I couldn't deal with his dodgy bowl-cut. But he wore me down”

Of herself Michelle is very modest one saying 

“Lots of actresses disappear by the time they're my age. So far, I've bucked the trend. I haven't got sucked into that 26-episode run of something like Casualty. Thankfully, my face has stopped that happening. It's not something you want to see every week on TV! I'm theatrical saffron in that way - just a light sprinkling of me here and there...”

Of her ambitions Michelle says it is to play Mama Rose in Gypsy on stage on Broadway. 

“That would be checking every box in my career if I got to play that. That is my biggest ambition! Oh my, I would ROCK THAT! I need to learn how to sing first, but that is just a technicality.”
