A really successful example of 3D sidewalk art, can be seen above, which is built in a park where kids like to play on it. The artist illustrated the 3 famous super heroes that we are all familiar with; The Superman, The Batman and The Green Lantern. The rope ladder detail is supporting the perception and visualization of the depth. He chose to use the tones of blue as the most dominant color to keep it look real since the most skyscrapers build by glass material on the sides. The angle where the photo taken is also another important point, because in this photo, all the important visual items are serving the overall image with full functionality.
Portuguese street artist Odeith, also known as Sérgio Odeith, has gained international recognition for his jaw-dropping 3D graffiti pieces that defy the limits of perception.
Personally, I really liked this 3d ground art. It is a relaxing and very creative example of todays 3d trend. The label hanging down on the right corner is a great detail and adding even more depth to the visual. The extra level added down the ground tiles is definitely making the design much more realistic, and feels like can be easily fallen inside a different parallel universe. The dominance of green is a good way of expressing the relief and peace inside a pasture view. The missing tiles in the visual and asymmetric start of the painting, maintains the perception of a huge depth again, which is kind of very scary. And finally, I really fancy the position of the 3d art where they painted the whole design right on the center of the building to gather more attention, so the visitors can only walk around the sides and embrace the depth that the image created.
