If you think Bobby and Athena are not Buck's parents I recommend you watch Fight or Flight again. Why you ask? Well because 1) Athena clocks that Buck is going to try to unlock Chimney's phone in a frankly ridiculous way instantly which leads to 2) helping him get the information they need out of the phone and driving his through the country instead of detaining him (as she should because among other things he broke chain of custody) and this happens after 3) Bobby signals for him to follow Athena and 4) gives him the ground rules in front of her which include: "don't leave her sight", "don't lie, don't withhold any information", "don't break the law" and, the greatest hit because it gets a scoff from Athena "don't do anything that's going to force her into early retirement".

Ahhh I’m rewatching 911 and I’m at 2x4 and omg the flirting between Eddie and Buck is insane sometimes I think we are clowning and remembering it wrong and then I rewatch the episode and I’m like nope that really happened. Like fucking Buck asking why Eddie didn’t date and Eddie saying they weren’t his type whilst they literally keep knocking shoulder like why you guys touching so much??? And the Eddie calling the fact that Buck lives in his “invisible girlfriends” house a weak excuse like ahahaha, and the Pepa eyeing up Buck like 😏 “who’s this?” Like she’s asking Eddie if he has something to share and then Buck going out of his way to help Eddie with Christopher sksksksk

I’ve decided to rewatch season 2-6 again of 911. I’ve rewatched season 1 earlier in the year and really don’t want to relive again. I mean it’s a great standalone season, but I’m happy we don’t have to put up with Abby.

I will say Season 2 Episode 1 starts off strong with Bathena reveal and introducing us to Eddie, in like the first 5 minutes. Now if season 7 wants to recreate Bathena’s secret relationship trope with Buck and Eddie, I won’t be upset over it 🤪

Here are some little facts about Tommy I learned while rewatching the Begins episodes from season 2

-His favorite movie is Love, Actually (Chimney Begins)

-He says some of his interests include monster trucks and craft beer (Chimney Begins)

-He apparently had a girlfriend around the time that Hen started at the 118. Captain Gerrard mentions that Tommy’s girlfriend is supposed to be coming to the firehouse to cook them dinner at some point, and Tommy says that it will happen (Hen Begins)

-He’s seen Fight Club and knows the movie well enough to quote it (Bobby Begins Again)

-He has a scar on his torso from a piece of shrapnel at a factory explosion (Bobby Begins Again)

Also if anyone is curious about his relationship and/or sexuality history, when he’s at the bar with Chim, Hen, and Bobby he claims that being single is easier, because having scars impresses women but getting them freaks them out (this instantly reminded me of Buck, specifically Buck and Ali)

British Buck

Okay so I'm rewatching S2 E6 (Dosed) and like I'm not fully paying attention. But then all of a sudden my ears pick up a very unmistakable British slip of the tongue from a Mr Oliver Stark at approx 35:36. Now I'm not entirely certain how on earth I managed to not notice it until now but it is certainly there.

It's when Buck approaches Bobby in the gym and says "You missed a hell of a show".

Up until now I have been so adamant that Oliver's accent hasn't slipped in the show but now I wanna see if I can spot any more.

Season 2 is a great season, arguably the best season of 911. It is the season I saw the potential for Buddie and my slight obsession with shipping Buck and Eddie.

The way these two characters were written and how they interact establishes an amazing foundation for a slow burn friends to lovers trope.

During my rewatch I took notes specifically regarding character development for Buck and Eddie. Individually and as a couple.

What this rewatch has taught me is that Season 2 was more intense than what I remembered it to be and Buddie cannot just be an accident or a delusion the fans made up. If the writers did not mean to develop a gay romance between these two characters, they definitely overlooked key details that have us Buddie shippers come to this conclusion. There are multiple scenes/scenarios that captivate the ship’s potential.

If I have the energy to share my notes with you all, I will. Maybe break it down per episode or every few episodes, but for now, I will state that season 2 only lays down the foundation for Buddie. Buck and Eddie don’t have their “oh” moment in this season. It established a mutual attraction towards each other and a start to an amazing friendship.

I’m obviously a bit unhinged and obsessed at the moment. I hope you enjoy my random notes/ thought process and join me in this slightly unhealthy behavior as a Buddie Shipper 🩷
