driver and luke are two characters i wouldn’t think to ship but you write them beautifully! i love seeing luke’s soft side and driver seeking the comfort 😭

Ahhh thanks anon! I really do love them together actually. I think because they’re both loners in one way or another, there’s something between them that recognises and respects that, but they find immense comfort and calm when they’re together, too. A feeling they never knew they could have, and certainly never knew they needed.

Luke does most of the talking but he knows that when Driver is there it’s because he wants to be, whether he speaks or not. Not that they do very much talking, lips and tongue usually occupied with the others during their encounters.

Driver is be obsessed with Luke’s tattoos and Luke finds Driver’s mysteriousness (and toothpick) so hot. Imagine them laid in bed together, Driver running a gentle finger carefully over the designs on Luke’s arms and shoulders while Luke just gazes at him. And then Luke lovingly popping a toothpick between Driver’s lips and handing him his hammer along with one last kiss before a blushing Driver leaves.

They both know he’ll be back at the trailer again the same time tomorrow. Luke leans in his doorway watching Driver disappear into the night, wondering where he goes between his visits here.
