You don't fucking understand!!!! Adam and Lilith were made from the same dust, they are supposed to mirror each other!! They probably share a lot of traits!! And maybe that's why they could never work as romantic partners and it makes me insane because there is no one in the world who could ever understand them the way they do!! Because they were created as equals! No one else could ever understand!

Crowley first sheltered Aziraphale under his wing Before the Beginning.
Then, on the wall, as it starts to rain for the first time, Crowley starts to move towards Aziraphale first, and then Aziraphale lifts his wing to shelter him.
But, also, Aziraphale doesn't protect himself from the rain, he just stands under it.
So.
Do you think Aziraphale doesn't mind the rain because it's Her creation so it can't be bad? But neither him nor Crowley knew whether it might hurt a demon?
Or.
Do you think Crowley knew/remembered Aziraphale and was like okay it's your turn to be the umbrella now? And he just took a chance to see what would happen?
Do you think Aziraphale remembered Crowley and thought why yes of course, it's my turn now, it's only fair? Or do you think he saw/felt Crowley moving and assumed that's what he wanted?
Or.
Do you think Crowley doesn't want rain on his wings cause they still hurt from the fall and Aziraphale gathers this might be the case and down't want Crowley's new black wings to hurt?
Or.
Do you think it was just..instict? For both or them?
Or-
...I could do this all day.

I'm thinking of another au but this time it's one of those "adam gets a 3rd wife" stories. The difference being instead of making one for him, Heaven decides to recruit an existing human from earth to try teach adam relearn humanity and to see if they can redeem someone before they become a Sinner.

Oh man I looked at the notes on that evolution & Christianity poll (a mistake, clearly), like, how can so many people be so fkin stupid. Yes thats mean of me to say but. Y'all are really out here being strict biblical literalists?? Not even most of the early christian theologians & church fathers were strict biblical literalists?? There is no historical basis to being an extreme literalist abt the bible?? Presumably you received SOME sort of education and can read and think critically?? You can't ALL have been raised in an information restrictive cult??
99% of the time im ready to throw hands with Catholicism because oh boy we have beef and I hate it here, but at least we're not Like That TM.
Oh Fr Georges Lemaître, father of the Big Bang Theory, we're really in it now.
#not to dunk on my Protestant friends ily#but like. protestantism is one hell of a drug. holy shit#like do i think ultimately what you believe about the evolution is the end of the world. no#BUT it indicates underlying literalist thinking which leads to problems that ACTUALLY affevt everyday life#and also just. deliberate ignorance. conspiracy theory thinking#not to b like. one thing leads to another. but these r definitely related patterns of thinking#and as much as im like. I fuckin hate catholics#its current western catholics that i rlly hate#theres at least a long history of intellectual freedom and science#yes at times obvs limited and repressed. but at least its not yknow. literalism. i would fuckin die#are yall really out here thinking abt literal adam and eve and creation in 7 days. really. REALLY?#altho. i went to hs with a young earth creationist who thot dinos and humans existed at the same time#so why. am i not surprised anymore#anyway yeah individual catholics are largely insane and i will fistfight trads#but at least like. INSTITUTIONALLY. we're allowed space to think and question#doctrinally thats allowed. even if trads refuse it in practice#ho ho holy shit yall#deadass did not think there was a significant amount of biblical literalists and creationists on TUMBLR of all places#both atheists and trads who think religion and science are fundamentally opposed.#think again. u r all. dummies. i am too tired to be polite abt it#im tired of ppl with no thinking skills <-its elections here today im extra full of rage#mrk saunders can catch my hands ALSO#i saw someone say that theres no basis to interpret the bible as allegorical#as if everytime Jesus said a parable ans the apostles took it literally#he had to sit them down and be like#boys. i love u. stop being stupid. its an allegory for the people.#WHAT THE FUCK IS A PARABLE IF NOT AN ALLEGORICAL INSTRUCTIVE STORY#genuinely. maybe i am naive. but deadass thot the adam and steve crowd thing was a joke. not a genuine argument against the gays#or at the very least a rare opinion blown out of proportion#ARE YALL OK IN PROTESTANT MAJORITY AREAS???????

so-called doomerists when "If you want to imagine the future, imagine a boy and his dog and his friends. And a summer that never ends. And if you want to imagine the future, imagine a boot... no, imagine a sneaker, laces trailing, kicking a pebble; imagine a stick, to poke at interesting things, and throw for a dog that may or may not decide to retrieve it; imagine a tuneless whistle, pounding some luckless popular song into insensibility; imagine a figure, half angel, half devil, all human... Slouching hopefully towards Tadfield. ...for ever."

remember when the evillious chronicles named all their mystical lands after biblically-inspired stuff. and they tried to give their major characters after either religious/mystical names, symbolic names relating to their gimmick/character arcs, or their vocaloid counterparts but still make the names poetic and stuff.
and then with the minor characters you have stuff like. mikulia greeonio. and milky eights.

The idea that a god-like character with (supposedly) unlimited powers should snap their fingers at the end of a TV series and remove all pain and terrible things in the world so humans no longer had any suffering is the most BAFFLING thing I have ever heard. WHY DID THE SHOW EVER EXIST IF FIXING THINGS WAS THAT EASY??????
#It seems like this 'gotcha' card that overrides any argument someone could have#but it's actually the laziest zero thought behind it belief I have ever seen#And it complete ignores the function and structure of a story#Holy shit#Like... that's literally Adam and Eve before Eve ate the apple#That kind of utopia is literally in the Bible and in general is considered bad#It was certainly painted as bad in the show! Because Eve gave us free will and choice and the opportunity to self-determine who we are#And that's good! That's considered better than the Garden of Eden!#And yes choices have led to the godawful structures in place on Earth today and all the godawful death and suffering that goes with it#BUT THIS STUPID LITTLE TV SHOW ABOUT THE DEVIL WASN'T SPEAKING ABOUT ALL THE EVILS IN THE WORLD!!!#It was talking about how you always have a choice to do better! That everyone can be redeemed!#It's a much MUCH narrower scope because that's what story does! It picks one thing and speaks to it#And sometimes that thing is indeed Wow modern capitalism has completely fucked the world like The Good Place showed#But even The Good Place didn't use the Judge to snap her fingers and change Earth#She could have! She certainly had the power too!#But no instead they argued against wiping out the entire Earth and starting over in favor of revamping the afterlife instead#to allow people a second chance and support to do better#Which is EXACTLY where Lucifer ended up too with the titular character playing therapist in Hell#That is a strong ending! That is a hopeful ending! Because it's speaking to the audience as individuals and saying you have a choice#You always have a choice to do better. No mistake you make is too irredeemable so don't let yourself drown guilt#because guilt fixes nothing. Only your choice to try again can change things#God snapping their fingers and rewriting Earth is not a hopeful; realistic; or satisfying ending to a 6 season show about free will!#It makes no sense!#like jfc I don't want to drag one singular person through the mud but their opinions are just so mind-boggingly to me#It's like beating my head against the wall

The blonde in the room took a deep breath and held it as she took the wooden box and slammed it onto her ankle as hard as her adrenaline would let her. Her mouth let out a blood curdling scream as the pain ran up her leg and to her brain telling the doctor what she was doing wasn’t natural. Really though, nothing about her current situation was natural. She batted the tears collecting at the edge of her eyes away and carefully moved the now limp foot out of the shackle she had been chained up. It hurt so badly. She wanted to cry out again, but was just glad her foot was no longer attached to the wall. She was free. She looked over at the brunette across from her with pleading eyes before saying to her,
“Just do what I did.”
“Okay.” The brunette looked down at her foot with the same level of trepidation the doctor had before reaching at the porcelain toilet cover at her side. She felt around before wrapping her hand around the edge and holding it tight. Her eyes darted up in a quick prayer for a second before taking the oblong object and beating her foot until blood seeped into the white grout. She sobbed in pain with every swing she took until her foot was free from the chain and she looked up at the doctor with a wide smile. Her face was still plastered with tears, but she began to crawl over to the other woman. The blonde met with her almost halfway across the room where she wrapped her hands around the brunette’s face, pulling her in for a kiss. The other woman returned the gesture passionately, pressing her hands onto the thicker woman’s hips as she pulled herself closer. “Laura...”
“Eve... Eve...” Laura repeated in between soft pecks and deep moans. Her arms wrap tightly around the other woman, sitting her on top of her lap in one fluid movement. Eve squeaked ever so slightly and slid her hands up to rest on the back of Laura’s neck. “You’re so beautiful, Laura.... Like an angel.” Eve whispered against Laura’s neck. She hid her face in the crook of the other woman’s neck before Laura pressed her lips onto the crown of Eve’s head and pulled Eve’s face away from her to look in her eyes.
“Not nearly as beautiful as you are, my sweet carnation.” Laura swept Eve’s bangs away from her eyes
and gazed into the teal eyes before her. “I could devour you...”
“Yeah?” Eve bit her lip and gave Laura the most sensual gaze she’d shared with another woman up until that point.
“Just say you’re mine.” Laura breathed into Eve’s mouth, sinking her teeth into Eve’s lips.
“I’m yours.” Eve moaned, “I’m yours for as long as we live.”
Laura worked her hands up Eve’s bony little frame, stopping for a second to comment, “You’re so
beautiful... but you’d be an even more beautiful woman with some weight on you.”
“Yeah?” Eve laughed, looking down at her body and the way that Laura’s hands clung to her like she
would never feel again.
“Yeah.” Laura just repeated for her, moving her lips down along Eve’s jawline. Her hands worked their way up the skin tight tank top Eve was wearing and she played with the thick bra straps that were struggling to stay flush against the younger woman’s collarbone. The strap was thick in contrast with the spaghetti straps holding the shirt up. She slipped the straps off to the side of her arms and brought her lips back up to pepper the curve of her jaw with tender kisses. She stopped a moment and lingered over her neck, matching her heartbeat to the faint pulse pounding under Eve’s skin. Eve seemed so fragile in her arms, like a hair away from death. Her whole body shook when she took a deep breath and it’d be almost endearing if they weren’t in the circumstances they were in. Laura wanted to worship every last inch of skin but knew they needed to get help. “Do you think you can stand?”
“Yeah probably.” Eve huffed a little, pulling her hands off the other woman and tried pushing straight up. She yelped as she realized her foot was in no way ready to have weight put on it and shoved her head into the dirty floor. Lara could hear the muffled sob of pain underneath the dark mass of hair.
“Here… Let me use the wall to get up.” Laura inched away from Eve, and carefully propped herself up onto her knees. She took a deep breath as she maneuvered herself onto her one functional leg, praying she wouldn’t slip on some water on her way up. She hopped, dragging her foot along, back to Eve and carefully held her hands. “I’m up, I’ve got you. You can do this Eve.”
“No.” Eve shook her head and flopped her arms out of Laura’s grasp. Laura let out a sigh before reminding Eve to trust her just once more. Eve held her arms up over her head and Laura helped to pull her up onto her knees.
“Here, you can use the side of the bathtub…” Laura guided her to the other side of the room, “We’re almost there… we’ll be free of this soon.”
“I can do this…” Eve whispered to herself before getting onto her good foot. She wrapped her arms tightly around Laura and buried her head into the other woman’s neck when they were both standing. Laura pressed her lips on the crown of Eve’s head and rubbed a circle around her back to calm her down. Laura’s shirt was stained with tears before Eve pulled herself off the doctor and asked, “Now what?”
“Now… now we get out of here.” Laura nodded to herself and wrapped an arm under Eve to help steady her. Whatever pain she was in, she could ignore… she was just so worried about the other woman and her safety in that moment
“Hey, Laura?”
“Yes?”
“Promise me…” Eve giggled to herself, “It’s stupid.”
“Anything for you.”
“Can I get a thousand dollars once we’re done?”
“That’s it?” Laura looked at her, almost incredulous
“No. No.” Eve quickly backtracked, “Just, promise me you’ll come and see me at the hospital?”
“Why wouldn’t I?”
“Well… it’s just when you get home you get to see Alison and Diana… and I don’t really have anyone.”
“We’ll visit… Diana and I anyway.” Her eyes darted away. Eve nodded, realizing she was being a bit of a homewrecker. Was it really her fault though if Laura returned her feelings? Her eyes grew heavy and she leaned into Laura’s weight a bit more
“They’re down here!” A man shouted and Eve titled her head up. Laura’s arms were around her tightly until they were gone completely. She sat up on the stretcher she was forced onto and reached out for the other woman, before a paramedic held her down. Her chest heaved as she was pulled further away from Laura and the paramedics talked over her. As they put her into the ambulance, she saw another woman run into Laura’s arms and kiss her. She looked so relieved as her hands rested against Laura’s cheeks and started to tear up. Eve made one more attempt to reach for Laura before the ambulance door closed in her face.
---
“Honey… I’m so sorry.” Alison whispered in between flashes from numerous cameras. Laura pried her partner’s hands off from her face and held onto them. It was a touch impersonal, but she couldn’t look into Alison’s eyes without thinking about how before she got taken by the Jigsaw killer their relationship was apathetic at best. “I promise… I’ll do anything to keep us together.” She pressed her lips onto Laura’s cheek and smiled when she pulled away. The paramedics attending to Laura made her slide onto the stretcher and let Alison stand beside her until she was put into the ambulance. Some detectives scurried down into the basement to get a look for any other would be survivors even though Laura was sure no one else would make it out. She took a deep breath when the door slammed shut and the motor hummed to life.
“This must be weird for you, huh doc?” The paramedic tried to strike up conversation with the woman
“A little.” She replied, “I apologize, I’m not exactly in the mood to talk.”
“Fair enough.” The woman shrugged and ran over a basic vitals test with Laura. Other than some minor damage to her head Laura knew she’d be fine, and even though she’d be fine too, she couldn’t help to worry about Eve. Had she even been to a hospital before? Would she be okay when the doctors set her foot in a cast? She had to ask, “The other woman, Eve Stanheight… we’re going to the same hospital are we not?”
“Yeah, you will be.”
“Okay.” She shut her eyes slowly and let the rhythm of the ambulance sway her to sleep. The next couple of hours were a blur. Laura talked with damn near every one of her coworkers for a couple minutes between moving rooms. When her foot was set and she had her own room, she tried to sleep. Every time she heard a scream her head would crane over to the door, trying to make sure it wasn’t Eve. Her heart raced in her throat as she worried more and more for the other woman. Then her heart stopped. There was still the issue with Alison. Alison. Alison who would probably come and visit her any moment. The woman whose heart she’d have to break… She banged her head against the pillow underneath her as she contemplated how to tell her she’d fallen out of love with her partner. The light flicked on and she heard soft familiar footsteps head towards her. She pulled herself up and looked at Alison.
“Ali…” The name caught in the back of Laura’s throat and her partner leaned in to kiss her
“It’s okay…” She nestled into the crook of Laura’s neck after their lips had made contact, “We’ll be okay.”
Rather than brooch the topic of their relationship, Laura asked quietly “Is Diana okay?”
“Yeah. She’s okay.” Alison reached out to run a hand along the back of Laura’s head before Laura’s hand interjected, pushing her partner’s fingers away. “She’s a little shaken up, but we’re going to be okay.”
“Okay… I’m sorry you both went through that.”
“It’s okay, what matter’s is that you’re okay… Diana can’t wait for you to come home.”
“Who’s watching her?”
“My friend.”
“Okay.” Laura took a deep breath and closed her eyes. After a silence hung in the air Laura piped up, “I need to talk to you.”
“What is it?” Alison sat on the side of Laura’s bed and held Laura’s hand
“I… Before I got kidnapped, I was going to cheat on you.” She told her
“It’s okay, like I said we’ll work on it…” Alison started before getting cut off by Laura
“No. It’s not. It’s not something we can fix. I… I don’t want to fix it.”
“What are you saying?”
“Even though I didn’t cheat on you then… I’ve found someone else that I care about.”
“I don’t understand.”
“It’s Eve. I’ve fallen for her.”
“Are you kidding?” Alison laughed, “What… did your colleagues give you one painkiller too many?”
“I’m being serious. I’m in love with Eve.”
“Now I know you’re kidding. You couldn’t possibly be in love with her. You’ve known her for a day. Less than that maybe… are you sure you’re in the right mental state to even say stuff like this? I mean… if you feel that way then what does that mean? That you never loved me in all those years I’ve been by your side, huh?”
“Ali.”
“No.” Alison stood up, “Don’t you dare call me that right now, not when you went through all that. Not when you made Diana and I go through all that and for what?”
Her words, while full of malice and bitterness, rung true. “I know how I feel about her, and nothing you say can change my mind.” Alison turned on her heels and stormed out of the room before running back and screaming,
“I’ll make sure you never see Diana again, you bitch!”
---
Eve woke up in a bed. She held onto the sheet underneath her as she tried to figure out how she got there. She must’ve passed out at some point while they fixed her foot, but she nervously checked under the blanket to make sure her foot was still in tact.
“This cast’s ugly as hell.” She muttered under her breath and rolled onto her side. A nurse came in and asked how she felt. She shrugged and said something along the lines of, ‘Good as I can be’ and the nurse left her alone. She shut her eyes again to sleep, but saw the vivid image of the man bloodied, lying on the floor of that bathroom. Her eyelids shot open and her breath sped up. No, that was over. She didn’t need to worry about that. It didn’t matter. It didn’t fucking matter anymore. She rolled onto her other side, and despite the discomfort in her leg, looked out the window. It was the dead of night but the streetlight managed to shine into her room. It almost made her feel at ease. One day soon she’d be out at a friend’s rock show and it’ll be like none of this happened. The only thing she could wish for now was… Laura. She tucked her head on the side of her pillow as she thought about the other woman. She had definite feelings for her, and yet when she saw the way that her partner kissed her… Eve knew she wasn’t anywhere near Laura Gordon’s league. Laura was an established, career-driven woman with a family. Brilliant… with even more beautiful blue eyes. Eve was just… well a fuck-up in all rights. No family, a handful of friends, a freelance photographer with the crappiest apartment odd jobs could afford. Laura’s wife probably was about as smart as she was, or more. She definitely was prettier than Eve, anyone with eyes could see that. What with her ratty, dingy brown streaks called hair and the way her nose looked… Eve didn’t even realize her eyes had begun to tear up until a warm stream ran down her cheek and stained the pillow. Her chest heaved as she sucked in air that turned her quiet tears to a loud sob. Luckily for her, nurses didn’t come in to check on her but she almost could’ve used the company. Even if they had, nobody would blame her for crying, right? They would think that it was just nerves from going through being kidnapped and subjected to play a little game for her life. It almost seemed childish when she thought about why she was crying. To cry over the feelings she had for a grown woman when they both had just barely survived? She used her free hand and wiped away the waterworks before taking a deep breath and forcing her body to shut itself down enough for a rest. When she woke up she heard a commotion from outside her room. Her door opened slowly and Laura rolled in in a wheelchair. She sat up quickly and reached out to the other woman, who pushed herself forward to get to the side of Eve’s bed.
“You’re okay.” Were the first words Laura said to Eve. Eve’s lips curled up and nodded. Despite the nurse’s protest, Laura got up and put weight on her good foot so she could sit on the side of Eve’s bed. Eve’s arms connected to Laura and her hands rested against Eve’s back and head. She quietly repeated, “You’re okay….”
“You must’ve missed me.” Eve settled back into her familiar sense of sarcasm as her nose nuzzled into Laura’s neck. Laura pulled away from the other woman for a second before clearing her throat. The nurse quickly closed the door behind her and left the two of them alone, “Are you okay?”
“I’m fine.” Laura looked down at her, “I spent all night worrying about you…”
“You did?” Eve’s voice cracked
“I did, if you can believe it. I kept thinking things, foolish things like: ‘has she ever been to a hospital? Would she know that I was here?’.”
“You worry too much.” Eve snuck a hand underneath Laura’s shirt. She ran a finger along the other woman’s spine. It wasn’t all… well spiny like hers was. It was a solid divot but had enough fat surrounding it it didn’t feel like the discs would stab its way through the skin. Not like Eve’s lithe frame. When her sense got the better of her, she pulled that hand back, only for Laura to guide it back up there. “What about… your wife?”
“I… I told her I was through.”
“Oh.”
“It’s not your fault.” Laura looked at her with soft eyes, begging for Eve’s touch. “You were spying on me, you must know how I felt about her before the bathroom.”
“Yeah… I saw you weren’t very happy with her.” “I’d fallen out of love with her years ago… Please, just let me be with you now.”
Eve shook her head and scooted away from Laura on the bed, “What if she’s right?”
“Who’s right?”
“Your wife. What if down the road after the dust settles, when we’re years away from this… will you still love me then?”
“Eve…” Laura looked at her with wide eyes. Eve had to keep hers shut just so that she wouldn’t be swayed. Laura reached for her hand and grasped it between her palms. It was warm and comforting. “Please believe me when I tell you that I want to be yours. Only yours for the rest of our lives. Even if it ends tomorrow you’re the one I want to have at my side. As my equal.”
“It just all sounds too good to be true. Next thing I know, my dad will pop out from around the corner and tell me you’re some kind of actress he hired.”
“Eve.” Laura sighed softly as she swept the bangs away from the other woman’s face. When Eve looked into her eyes again, Laura pressed her lips onto Eve’s forehead. Eve’s hands rested at her side before working a hand back up Laura’s shirt
“Just… say it one more time.” She stared into Laura’s soul, “Tell me that you’re mine or how you want me… so I know this is real.”
“Eve, you will be my everything from this point on. My every breath belongs to you, and every tear I shed is shed in your glory.”
“That’s so over the top.” Eve had to laugh. Anything to break the tension that had built up between the two of them. Laura carefully hooked her good leg over Eve’s lap and rested on her. Eve’s other hand slid up under the fabric and looked up at the older woman. She quietly mumbled, “So pretty.”
“You’re ethereal.” Laura pressed her front into Eve’s chest and kissed her on the lips. Eve’s hands trailed up her back and felt around for the clasps on the back of her bra. Laura pulled away only to lift her shirt off over her head and asked, “Better?”
“The view’s nicer.” Eve bit the edge of her lip as she drank in the sight of Laura’s softer body. Laura gave her a soft half smile and bunched her hair over to one side, leaving a shoulder open for Eve. Eve pulled herself forward and pressed her lips onto Laura’s collarbone. How did the other woman manage to make antiseptic smell good against her skin? She made a soft whining noise and Laura ran a hand through her hair. “We probably shouldn’t go any further than this… at least not at a hospital.”
“Damn, and I even know where the gynecologists keep the dental dams.” Laura huffed. Eve looked at her with deer in the headlight eyes before realizing that Laura Gordon had made a joke. “But that’s okay, gives me a reason to get through physical therapy as fast as I can.”
“What’s in it for me then?” Eve asked her, handing the doctor her shirt
“A lady doesn’t kiss and tell, my dear.” Laura smirked, “But I’ll just say, you haven’t seen anything from me just yet.”
Eve was almost upset that Laura would leave her like this when she saw how desperate the woman was for touch. Almost. The wait would be so worth it.
---
And this just in, the infamous Jigsaw Killer, a man identified as Mr. John Kramer, was found dead in the room where heiress Laura Gordon and another woman were being held. While TSVN doesn’t currently have all the details, it seems as though his heart stopped nearly twelve hours ago. It’s not known if he was killed by Ms Gordon or this was self-inflicted. It has also been reported that there was another woman caught on camera from a nearby warehouse entering with an unconscious woman around the same time that Ms. Gordon was reported missing. We’ll continue following this story as more details emerge. Reporting live...
