I'm bored (and it's now requested), Donquixote Pirate Luffy au.
Instead of leaving Luffy with Garp, Dragon just dropped him off at an orphanage. Cut forward 10 years and Luffy is in a fighting ring.
Luffy's going to act a lot more like Rosinante in this.
Doflamingo meets him on a whim and decides to keep him. Luffy isn't complaining, he's on verge of starvation and emotionally distant.
When Luffy starts to trust the Donquixote family more and opens up Doflamingo is hit with the realization that while Luffy will snap someone's neck without hesitation he also is an emotionally stunted little extrovert who kinda reminds him of Rosinante.
Now quick detours, Ace leaves with Sabo because Luffy isn't there and 'dies'
Dragon checks on Luffy about 10 years in, right after he left the fighting ring and joined Doflamingo. He is both riddled with guilt and extremely worried.
Luffy will work under Trebol at first but about 3 years in he's an elite officer. During his fighting ring days he unlocked observation and armerman haki.
In this au he has long hair that he usually keeps in a bun. He'll also wear a long coat in this to just throw Doflamingo through a loop by including Law in his design.
Now on the topic of Law he is critical to Luffy leaving the Donquixote pirates.
Luffy is in the west blue doing, something. When he meets Law, now they're enemies at first, shocker. But after about 2 days the Luffy affect kicks in and Law offered Luffy a place in his crew. Mostly because of the Rosinante thing.
Luffy denied but he had to go through the east blue to head back to the new world because I said so.
There he met younger Zoro, Nami, and Coby. This isn't a strawhat Coby au, mostly because Luffy crew isn't going to be the Strawhats.
Luffy still calls Doflamingo, Mingo in this it's just later on in his life.

gosh im such a huge fan of your warlord!sanji au esp all the wonderful angst recently <3 is there anything you have to share abt these executions, failed or successful? the pain is delicious >:)
i adore all of ur work so very much ^^ thank u!!
I'm glad you're enjoying everything so far! There is more in the works, for many people to parent Sanji.
Like, they've probably talked about this very frankly growing up with Sanji. He's already guilty by association so becoming a pirate is the worst thing he could have done and then his parents turned against the government or got sent to Impel Down by him and his crew? Sanji would be the first thought of execution by the government, with how interwoven the cook is into piracy and some of the top pirates in the world.
As for the executions? I had a thought, since the warlords and Luffy saved Ace(they still have scars, just no death) I thought about Sanji's execution where they do make it but Sanji's smiling at them, all of them, blood dribbling out of his mouth as he collapses lifeless on the platform. Or Someone gets him out and Sanji can feel the heat from Akainu's lava fast approaching and turns just in time to lose his hands and maybe his life, blinking at the admiral as people scream.
Maybe they get the whole family up there? Jinbei and Sanji went missing and all of a sudden there's a news article about Sanji, Jinbei, and the others' execution. All lined up and put to death with seastone bullets, or injured heavily. But either way no one ever really recovers from it. Mihawk who was supposed to die by Zoro's blades. Boa who was supposed to die of old age because almost everyone fell in love with her. Jinbei watching everything he's worked for backslide. Doffy who thought he would die by his kid's hands or Law's. Crocodile who was supposed to amass so much wealth he and the others could retire without worry. Sanji who was supposed to find the All Blue and open a restaurant.
Imagine if everyone was there? The White Beard fleet, Luffy and his volunteer fleet, Shanks and his crew, Perona, Law and his crew? Just everyone trying to get to the execution platform and save them. Sanji gives Luffy his biggest smile and thanks him, asks him to find the All Blue for him, and then just slumps forward after a bullet exits the front of his skull. His parents follow one by one as Luffy screams as he loses his cook and his helmsman. Loses his friends and family.
As a sanlu truther through and through Luffy watches the love of his life die and after whatever war happens, as they all leave to recuperate. Luffy is shattered and nothing is helping. Shanks, Ace, maybe Sabo is there but nothing is working until Zoro grabs Luffy and asks him if this is what the cook would want. They have to fulfill his dream too now and Zoro will make sure they do if Luffy can't. Luffy nods and wipes his face. Perona says she'll help, Sanji was her baby brother after all. Then everyone realizes they watched the cook and his family die one by one.
Or maybe they save one warlord. Doflamingo goes on a crazed rampage because of his child and then just shuts down after they leave, just a complete dissociative state. Boa who sobs as she takes out marine after marine and can't stop. Crocodile who doesn't shed a tear and kills quickly, not in a rampage but methodically and pats Perona as she looks at him with tears. Jinbei gets everyone out quickly and safely, he watches the waves in silence. Mihawk who kills efficiently and with no mercy and then Shanks asks why he's crying because he hasn't seen Mihawk in years and didn't know. Mihawk blinks and touches his face to feel the wetness.

Keep My Bedrock Heart Next To Yours
A modern LawLu Fairytale
Wherein Luffy meets a fairy prince, learns how to make dreams come true, saves the day, has a wee alliance, kicks Doflamingo's ass, & gets the guy.
Not necessarily in that order
Tumblr media Tumblr media
If someone told Luffy that he'd meet the love of his life at Shakespeare in the park he'd laugh at them.
Nicely.
Mostly.
There wasn't anything wrong with Shakespeare in the park. It was fine. Sanji said a lot of words about it, words delivered very passionately about the importance of culture.
Culture was like the flavor in really delicious food. The spices, herbs, fat, and all that other amazing stuff, only more boring and also for people. Luffy wasn't really sure about the power of Sanji's metaphor but he trusted his opinion.
Culture was good and Shakespeare apparently had culture. What Shakespeare in the Park didn't have was food... not real food, not that he could eat. Monkey D Luffy judged, graded, and categorized all functions, obligations, and entertainments he attend by the quality and quantity of their food.
Shakespeare in the park didn't by and large have food, and therefore Shakespeare in the park didn't by and large have the interest of Monkey D Luffy.

How will you be handling the whole devil fruit thing in your reverse strawhat AU? Wano arc revealed that Luffy having the gumgum/nika fruit is actually very important, and he woun't have had defeated Kaidou otherwise. So does Ace just eats it in this AU and then Luffy has the mera mera no mi so Dressrosa can go on like canon? How will you do this?
Honestly I’ve thought about this a lot.
Luffy still meets Shanks in this au. He still gets the gum gum/Nika fruit.
Ace still finds the Mera mera fruit after he leaves dawn island.
But Luffy is the one who dies in marineford.
I know we need Nika later in the story. So I have two options that I’ve played with
Sabo gets the Nika fruit in dressrose
Luffy gets pulled into this universe to help them defeat Kaido.
So the problem with idea one is I can’t see any other character as Joyboy.
I think Sabo and Ace still meet in Dressrosa and that they get Luffy’s fruit there. But I don’t know if Sabo would eat it.
Sabo is a revolutionary. The god a freedom and the drums of liberation fit him well. But he’s not the out pouring of joy that Luffy is.
Maybe he eats it.
If he does he awakes the fruit fast. His personal drive for freedom and to liberate others meshes well with Nika.
But I think his Nika would be way more unhinged than Luffy’s. Like a you get in my way and I’ll annihilate you while laughing like a maniac. It’s less joyful and more maniacal laughter. I think he’d also need to be talked down from that form, he’d lose himself to it in a way Luffy doesn’t.
Or he doesn’t eat the fruit.
Both he and Ace decided no one else is worthy of Luffy’s fruit and they won’t give it to someone who is unworthy.
Maybe they eventually meet another character that is worthy of the fruit and allow them to have it.
But in this reality Ace would have to awaken the Mera Mera to defeat Kaido. Which means we get to play with what an awaken Mera Mera fruit looks like.
Then there is always the second option.
Form the very beginning I wanted the Strawhats and the reverse Strawhats to meet. I wasn’t sure how to do that. I figured a devil fruit or a mystic island would bring them together.
But what if during the fight with Kaido someone activates a devil fruit. A final ditch effort to call of help. And it brings the Strawhats to this dimension.
Luffy has no clue why they are back in Wano. Or why Kaido is still around. But he sees Ace and Kaido fighting. Maybe Ace is losing? And while he doesn’t understand what’s happening, Ace is here. And Kaido is hurting Ace and Wano. Luffy’s kicked his butt once before it will be way easier this time.
I think the strawhats get dropped in and before anyone can put together what the heck is happening, Luffy just launches himself at Kaido.
But again I’m still playing with these ideas.
The dropped into reverse Wano has some promise. I’ve been thinking about Law and if I was going to have him remain or replace him with Rosinante. (I still need to make it to Dressarosa so this is just an idea right now)
But if we drop the strawhat alliance into Wano then not only are all the strawhats meeting their counterparts but you get a reunion between Law and Rosinante as well. Things to keep in mind as we build.
But what do you guys think?

Eustass Kidd in Modern AUs
I see this trend in fics where Kidd isn't part of a main ship depicting him as either a weird rival to one of the characters or a genuinely disgusting person, and don't get me wrong, I like rat bastard aggro asshole Kidd who's either genuinely unpleasant to be around or truly execrable as much as the next guy–I think it's true to his character in many ways–but I also have a soft spot for modern AU interpretations of Kidd just being Luffy or Law's kinda annoying buddy? Like very much their friend or at least someone they're okay with hanging out with even though they snipe at each other constantly, or just like, an annoying ex you can't help but argue with, rather than a truly shitty person. Egotistical and confrontational and definitely pushes some people away, but in a way that doesn't make it impossible to be his friend
I think it might just have something to do with me scaling down a character's negative traits in my own modern AUs just because their circumstances are less drastic, the stakes of living in a modern world are generally lower (unless it's like, a very action packed thriller or horror thing that's as drastic/requires a similar level of suspension of disbelief to the anime) so I tend to avoid things like having someone be genuinely murderous, and canon Kidd's tendency to annihilate everything in sight and kill people who upset him doesn't translate well to the comparatively low stakes of coffeeshops or college settings. Generally I scale a character's level of potential shittiness to match the world I construct for them, and it throws me sometimes when I'm reading a perfectly cute modern au and people keep certain really drastic plot elements (e.g. Kidd's extreme violence, Doffy killing Cora in front of Law, elements of certain other backstories etc) or interpret the character's evil in ways that feel less plausible in that context (e.g. making an antagonistic character a sexual predator or physically aggressive/dangerous person, especially in bashing fics). This is fine, but again, it can feel out of place if other plot elements aren't similarly drastic in scale or if it's just a minor part of the AU and we get back to regularly scheduled pining or wish fulfillment right after.

AU Where during the Grey Terminal Fire Ace, Luffy and Sabo all find themselves falling through time right into the middle of the Oro Jackson and the Roger Pirates back before Roger was even declared the King of the Pirates. The Roger Pirates are rightfully flabbergasted by the sudden appearance of three whole children from seemingly thin air but sort of just shrug it off and go ONE OF US after figuring out that asl have nowhere to go (Much to Shanks and Buggy's delight of not being the youngest anymore). Then they learn that these boys are time travellers and they're like holy shit that's pretty cool but we should probably hide your guys identity since we're pretty sure if the world government found out all three of you as well as your future sleeves may be in danger.
Eventually after much angst(Ace) and much suspicion, ASL come clean about themselves and slowly but surely integrate themselves deeply into the Roger Pirates. Then they find out that their time there may just be limited, that something was trying to draw them back to their original timeline much to both ASL and the rest of the Roger Pirates' ire. If they have anything to say about it not even the god's will be taking their three youngest away from them.
----------------------
Featuring: Idiotic but loveable Dad Roger, Cool and put together Uncle Rayleigh, Comical yet fiercely protective older brothers Shanks and Buggy, A tightly knit family in all but blood Roger Pirates, Badass mother of the year Rogue, Whitebeard who may or may not have an incredibly strong urge to childnap his mortal frenemie's new children, A Marine Hero who just about gets an aneurysm when his rival allows even more godamn children onto his pirate ship and last but certainly not least a very confused and traumatized blond giant of a child who seems to have become playmates with his adoptive dad's number 1 enemies adopted children (Now now Rosi, Ace Sabo Luffy go and play somewhere else the adults have some business to attend to *sengoku and Roger say while they glare at each other and crack their knuckles*)

Poll Vote March Mutual Pining Slowburn
Hi readers! I hope your weekend is going well <3
Blinded by Sakuya_Serenity_Kira (E)
Strawhats and Heart Pirates are traveling together after the events on DressRosa, Zou and maybe even Wano. Kizaru pays them a visit and as a result Luffy is blinded.  Now he is not allowed in the sun for days. And where would be safer for the freedom-loving captain than in the cabin of a grim, silent surgeon...?
Storge by Sketched_Ink (M)
“Ok!” Luffy grinned brightly, “You help protect Ace, and I beat up a flamingo? Easy” “Not a flamingo, Donquixote Doflamingo, my adoptive father”, Law tried to stop the venom seeping into his voice. Luffy nodded solemnly, “Ok, I beat up your father, the flamingo, and you protect Ace?”. Law supposed this was the closest he was going to get to total understanding. “Yes”, he ground out.   Or, the self-indulgent Bridgerton-style AU nobody asked for.
The Greatest Adventure by Kaatosade (E) [incomplete]
It was even more absurd to hear Luffy talking about marriage.
I was a God once! by KhepiAri (M)
I was a god once; no one believes it when I tell them now. I had tall shrines, devout followers and piles of offerings. My first shrine was made in the hollow of a tree. It was a little boy who had built it; he had killed a wild boar with a stone, that blood covered stone was my first form. He, along with his mates, he concluded the stone was a miracle. A notorious boar had rampaged around his village for months, destroying their crops and killing three elderly. The boy at the stupid age of 12 had taken matters in his own hand and ventured into the forest after his brothers and grandfather had returned injured. He had no skills and zero sense of self-preservation. With bow and arrows slung on his back, two long knives tied on thin his waist and a spear in his hand; he marched out of home at break of dawn. While his mother and father were busy nursing the injured and grandmother brewed the medicinal soup, he sneaked out. A pining god recites how he fell in love with a mortal. From bickering god and a devotee they become friends, but can god and human be together? Law is a young god and Luffy his devotee. SWITCH COUPLE: LawLu/LuLaw Lawlu Week 2022 day-6
And Like This, We Eclipse the Universe by riverofnara (G)
He knows his name. He knows the lullaby of the ocean and the press of warm sand against his toes. He knows the straw hat on his head is sacred, a treasure of unspeakable value. And he knows that he’s missed Law, a cavernous ache in his chest that would normally swallow one whole, but not here because Law’s presence alone is enough, a gentle balm to dull the pain in increments. - The universe grants two hearts longing for the other a chance to reunite. And even when they don't recognize each other, they don't let the moment go to waste.
Mon Trésor by bimarian (G)
Luffy wonders if Law will get mad once he finally admits it; will Law walk away from him once he lets all these wishes and prayers out in the open? Maybe. And that’s one doubt too many. Ten things that he wants to confess to his ally now that he is already the Pirate King.
Lost and Found by too_addicted_to_fiction (E)
“I’m not here to play hide-and-seek with you, Mugiwara,” Law spat out, hot and tired and annoyed. “I’m here to take you back. I promised your friends." In which Luffy runs away, and Law is sent after him.
When You Hug Me It Feels Like Home. by KhepiAri (G)
Unlike how his family had feared that Luffy would go wild at the first taste of freedom, Luffy was drowned in the first taste of college existential crisis, being good at something practically didn’t mean he was good at in theory. The first three weeks of Luffy’s freedom were spent studying things he had no understanding of. When assignments came another week later, the young student couldn’t help but feel overwhelmed and began crying in the middle of the library. Fellow students didn’t make things awkward for him by staring; it was common to find crying first years at every nook and corner of the university. It was entirely different from high school, if you fell no one was going to pick you up, you had to pick yourself up, clean your wounds and keep walking. “Are you okay?” A firm hand gently tapped a wallowing Luffy’s shoulder. “No…” Luffy tried to control his sobs. College AU. Fresher Luffy/PhD student Law. No Smut. One kiss. Law finds Luffy crying in the library, so he offers to buy Luffy a drink and help him out for a while, but he soon finds himself flirting with Luffy, who is a bit slow when it comes to matter of hearts. LawluWeek 2022 Day-8
Why won't you kiss me already? by Katia_Anyway (M)
Luffy is in love with Torao. And he knows Torao loves him back. So why won't Torao kiss him already!?
If You Need Me, I will by BasicallyACat (G)
Luffy can't find the words to describe all the things he feels, couldn't say them even if he found them. He knows people don't understand him usually and doesn't really mind. His nakama understand and that is all that matters. When he meets Law, suddenly there are far too many things to say even when he can't and Luffy prays Law can understand anyways.
The Curious Case of Monkey D. Luffy by lampalot7 (T)
Monkey D. Luffy was cute. This much was known—this was an undeniable, immutable fact. It was also largely suspected to be a ruse of some sort. The squishy-cheeked, beaming face on the wanted posters was largely considered by the more discerning members of Law’s profession to be incapable of the infamous, impossible deeds that Straw Hat Luffy has committed. Or: Luffy is cute, Law has incorrect assumptions, and then a crisis.
If you think we missed a work that you think deserves to be added, don't hesitate to reply with the link or send a message <3

I thought of a nice a little way to add angst to Donquixote pirate luffy au.
One time when Luffy was 10 and had just joined Doflamingo, he started to cry and like a well adjusted truma survivor he tore out the eye opposite to his crescent scar.
He wasn't allowed to be alone for too long after that.

One Piece AU where the pirates have two factions; Peace Mains and Morgania. (Reference: Romance Dawn by Eiichiro Oda)
Peace Mains: Pirates who made a living by hunting Morgania.
Morgania: Pirates who made a living by pillaging and committing crimes.
Basically a more slice of life AU with some major lore, with Luffy looking for adventures rather than One Piece and meeting new friends along the way.
Ace and Sabo followed suit because Crocodile knows that his youngest won't be able to avoid trouble. All three aims to make a crew consisting of Peace Mains pirates.
They basically travel around for weeks and for 2 months and then they go back to their hometown. The rest of the Strawhats joined but they sometimes go do their own thing sometimes. Somehow they're always nearby when the brothers get themselves into trouble. Is it fate?
For the Shichibukai, they're made out of the strongest Peace Mains and they're the top amongst the pirates. They control a large region and prevents Morgania pirates from causing havoc. Unlike canon they don't work with the Marines and aside from nicknames from the public no one knows their true identity, the only exception being Kuma.
Crocodile: He guards Alabasta and the surrounding area. As a warlord, he is known for punishing Morgania pirates to near death as a warning. He is known as Mr. 0 by the Marines due to the number nickname given to his underlings and the Desert King due to the area he rules over. He often appear without his head during Baroque Works meetings, so not even his coworkers know how he looks like.
Dracule Mihawk: Known as the Sharp-Eyed Man and the Marine Hunter by the Marines, he is known for working alone. He takes down Marines and Morgania Pirates from the shadows, his hawk mask covering his face. He lives alone on an island until he met Zoro and Perona. He starts to leave his island more often. Used to be a normal hawk when he was hit with a Devil Fruit power that turns animal into humans.
Gecko Moria: Doesn't go by any epithet, but he is whispered amongst the Marines like an urban legend of the seas. Not much is known about him.
Kuma: Was called the Tyrant and the only one who the Marines know for sure his identity is. He never stays in one place for long, but wherever he goes the people said that a big, gentle man helps them.
Boa Hancock: Nicknamed Medusa, all who laid their eyes on her become stone, and they all forget how she looks like after turning back. Lives in Amazon Lily and send out ships to help free slaves to the outside world. Hopeless romantic. She and Jinbe are friends.
Jinbe: Known as the Knight of the Seas. He frees slaves and destroy human auction houses. Marines are not sure if he's human or something else. He went to Amazon Lily shore on weekends for tea with Hancock.
Donquixote Doflamingo: Known as the Heavenly Yaksha, he always foils Marines plans to capture Peace Mains pirates. His brother, Rosinante is still alive alongside their parents. Rosi joins the Marines and along with Sengoku resolves to make sure the Marines don't do much harm. He works at a boutique belonging to his parents when not doing pirates stuff. Law is his adopted nephew and Doffy isn't sure if the kid knows or not that he's a pirate.

Only 2 pages for part 3 because I was stupid and put way too many characters in this. I think I have to experiment with the format a bit more.
One more thing: I have to prepare Dress Rosa for this AU especially well, so I can put as much angst in it as possible. So I'm doing like every other fanfic and stretch the time they take to travel to Dress Rosa. If you want to see a certain character interaction or Seraphim Rosinante and/or Law in a specific situation (like idk dinner or Rosi and Luffy playing hide-and-seek etc.) you can suggest something in the comments/Asks/reblogs. I can't promise to draw everything, but I'm thankful for every suggestion!

Thought of a au to add more trauma for Sanji, Law and Robin :) basically the RLS!siblings au
So, after Cora dies, Law ends up finding Robin who decides to help this teenager and they stay together, until they also find a freesly free from the dunsheon Sanji. Both help Sanji and with time, all of them start to feel like siblings.
This is, until a storm happens, separating the 3 of them. After this, things go like the story: Robin joins Baroque Works, Law starts the Heart Pirates and Sanji meet Zeff. But in their minds, they always suffer bc of what happened.
Years later, Sanji joins the StrawHats and him and Luffy start dating short before entering the Grand Line. Then Alabasta happens and Sanji remeet his sister (both are crying when they finally have the chance to be alone). Then Water 7 with Sanji having a damn crisis. Then everything goes until Marineford, where Law helps to save Ace since he is the old brother of his little brother boyfriend's. Punk Hazard where both R and S are relivied to see Law. Dressrosa where Robin and Law can talk again.
And then WCI, who Robin joins bc fuck it, her little brother helped her so much during Water 7 and she's NOT letting him stay with the same fucking people who made all the wounds and scars she saw in the past. After all this, all the 3 of them finally are able to be together again after the battle in Wano (with a Luffy wanting affection from his boyfriend after the fight, of course)
Sure, more trauma, it's fine. (They are barely holding it together fam.) This is very long so there is a cut!
Like 13 year old Law finds 17 year old Robin and they're staring at each other with a lot of distrust. Law is still really fresh off losing Corazon, it's been like two weeks, maybe. Then they find out they both have fruits and train with each other. Especially given their professions it's very helpful. So they travel together and train, stay out of eyesight from the government and the Donquixote family.
Then they find a child in a metal helmet. Law shambles it off the kid and they start checking him over because what the fuck? The kid is fucked up and they find out his name is Sanji and he's eight. Law and Robin take him along and start the Heart Pirates with Shachi, Bepo, and Penguin. The captain is the spotted kid in the spotted hat and the polar bear is the first mate as Sanji is the chef and Robin is the archeologist. Law tells them about Cora-san and how he wants his revenge, Sanji tells them about the All Blue in all the childlike wonder he can muster, Robin talks about the poneglyphs and reading them.
It's before anyone else gets bounties so it's just Robin who has one when the storm hits a couple years later sending them all adrift. Law manages to stay with Bepo, Shachi, and Penguin but his brother and sister are gone. They're gone and he can't stop crying. Law thought he was done losing family. Robin who lost her second family and heaves sobs before she wipes her face and looks ahead. She only allows herself a short time to mourn. Sanji is just numb, he's been abandoned before, he thought it would happen again. He cries when he feels something other than the numbness, the deep bone settled hurt that sometimes comes to the surface. Then he starves with some old guy on a rock.
Sanji doesn't get Law's number in this. Sanji thinks they're dead and they think he's dead too. So when he joins the Strawhat Pirates as the cook and starts dating the captain he just goes along with whatever hair brained scheme they have going for them. When he sees Robin for the first time they both do a double take because they're not dead and they're seeing each other. Law's bounty has been out for a while so they know about him but each other? They ran into each other? And they're fighting? Sure. Checks out for both of them honestly.
Also when Crocodile falls for the Mr. Prince thing Robin is giggling to herself, and when he falls to her baby brother and his crew? Amazing. She has joy in her heart for the first time in a long time, to see Sanji alive and trying to love. Once they have a moment alone they catch up and Robin looks at the smoking man who shrugs and looks back. She nods and that's that. They're alive and together.
After the Buster Call in Enies Lobby and Sanji pulling Robin aside and is just begging to not lose her again and she nods and apologizes. Luffy finds them later curled up after they said goodbye to Merry and are waiting on the Sunny. He joins them and feels the arm of his boyfriend and his sister hold him close as they sleep. When they get to Sabaody they see Law for the first time. They don't even get to talk really as everything happens.
Law might have a giant on his crew now but his siblings are dead.
Again.
Then he sees his siblings' captain claim Fire Fist as his brother with an army of Impel Down escapees. He knows the pain of losing siblings, many times over(Lami, Baby 5, Robin and Sanji twice over now) so he saves them. Barely, but he does. They are dropped off respectively to whoever is in charge of them. Law has a few revenge plots to settle and they'll only hinder him.
Robin and Sanji are able to meet up thanks to them both training under Revolutionaries. They don't even talk about the fact Sanji is cross dressing, the only thing they're talking about is seeing the crew again. And how much they've probably traumatized Law by "dying" again.
Of course when the crew reunites Luffy is over the moon to see his boyfriend. Nobody other than Luffy knows Robin and Sanji are siblings. Ace is there and amused by his brother's behavior with the cook. Ace goes to give Sanji a shovel talk but Robin says not to worry and that was covered ages ago. Zoro gives Ace a thumbs up which concerns him. They do their business on Fishman Island and head to Punk Hazard on Luffy's whim.
Of course the crew is split up and Law doesn't even hesitate to switch the bodies of whoever else is on Punk Hazard. Then he finds out it's the Strawhats and he may have just switched his baby brother into the cat burglar's body. Robin is acting like she doesn't know him outside of the news, which is fair, and he acts the same to the crew. Of course after all is said and done and he's unfortunately informed of how Straw Hat does alliances does really believe that Sanji fought Vergo and only suffered a broken leg, a building fell on his body at some point, Robin knows Fishman karate and they are not dead.
Again.
Law is very tired and very stressed.
And they don't even get to talk about it all that much because there's never a moment of just the three of them. It's annoying. Either a crew member, that samurai,or the kid, or the painter guy, or Caesar are within ear shot and he wants to throttle almost everyone. Then they arrive in Dressrosa and it kind of all goes to shit. Well not kind of, it just does. Law is going to fucking kill(almost) all of them if Doffy doesn't first. Listen, Law doesn't get how Sanji got to where he is physically, he'll figure that out later, but for now the cook needs to go and take Caesar to Zou!
Everything ends up fine. Sure he cut off his arm but he's fine, it's fine, they're heading to Zou after Ace and Luffy's other apparent brother is there, and alive. That's something they have in common Law guesses as they rest for the night and make their escape in the morning. Law is a control freak to the maximum extent so he's ready to get to Zou, see his crew and spend time with his family before they go after Kaido. Except Sanji's poster says only alive and the look he and Robin share is not a good one.
Of course Zou is a wreck because nothing is ever easy and Luffy is off doing something and Ace is chasing him. The Strawhats find out first Sanji was kidnapped first. Law is explaining to his crew that they can't like they're seeing long lost family because the Strawhats don't know. The Strawhats are dealing with finding out Sanji is gone. When they inform the Heart Crew of the plan to get Sanji, Robin and Law share another look as they depart. No one catches it. Not even Luffy. Law is engulfed in Bepo's arms as he shakes because he just got them back and they haven't been able to be together. Shachi and Penguin are looking ahead with a slight dissociation because they haven't been able to see them and talk to them as well. It sucks.
Robin goes with the rescue team and finds Sanji with the golden cuffs in the chariot. Held hostage by the same people who put him in that God awful helmet Law had to shambles off when he was eight. Robin is furious but not as furious as Luffy who is taking all the hits from his boyfriend without fighting back. Robin notes everything going on and when Sanji delivers food to Luffy and tries to fully leave the crew, Luffy is Luffy though. So a plan is devised to save them even as Robin gives the blond a look of disagreement. After all is said and done and they're leaving with Jinbei who has come to help. Robin threatens Judge for Law and her both when he's done belittling her brother for all of the good things about him.
When they make it to Wano and see everyone, Luffy immediately goes to fight Kaido much to everyone's exasperation. Law, Robin, and Sanji keep exchanging looks because they can't pin down time to talk to each other. Too much going on and Sanji feels responsible for Pedro's death and everything being behind schedule. Sanji uses his raid suit and Law is fucking losing his mind because what the fuck did he miss as he realizes where Sanji came from. Law knows he and Robin know these comics, they had read them before the storm separated them and Sanji did not like them. So that clicks in for Law like the Doflamingo bit clicked for them years ago.
After the raid, when Sanji is finally able to be pinned down after stressing about cooking the three of them manage to sit and talk. Of course it's not even ten minutes into the conversation that Luffy bursts in, yelling for Sanji. Law sets a room but Robin puts a hand on his and smiles at him sweetly as Luffy sits on Sanji's lap and then looks at them.
"No, no, we are not doing this with him." Law glowers.
"Ah, but we just started talking about my life after the storm." Robin grins at him as Law huffs. They catch up and Luffy, surprisingly, quietly listens as the three catch up. None of them are smiling necessarily, they have these half twitches sort of dragging the corners of their mouths. Even about Enies Lobby and Germa and Dressrosa they share things. Sabaody from Law's perspective is shocking, as is Marineford. Law asks if it's possible to go kill Judge with a thing and Robin laughs and assures the elder captain that the peace pact only applied to the Strawhat crew, so the Heart crew could absolutely go beat Judge to death with 'it' as Sanji sighs as Luffy starts whining about not being allowed to.
When they go find the crews Law tells his to 'have at them' as Bepo pulls Sanji and Robin close and holds them up and coos as Shachi and Penguin wrap their arms around them as others start asking questions. Newer Heart members who have only heard about them in passing and didn't understand why Law had their posters as the Strawhats just ask Luffy what's going on.
"Oh yeah, turns out Sanji and Robin are Law's brother and sister and were his first crew members until they got separated." Luffy shrugs.
"Are they leaving the crew?" Usopp asks in despair.
"Nah, they already tried that remember?" Luffy reminds him.
"I had every intent to get back." Sanji defends himself.
"That makes a lot of sense." Zoro says like he hadn't heard Sanji.
"You're dead, shitty moss." Sanji growls.
"I want a pelt of Bepo's fur to lay on forever." Robin hums as she burrows into the mink.
"I love you too, Robin." Bepo cheers.
"What about us?" Shachi and Penguin whine.
"Human pelts are good for books." Sanji answers. "I could make you both into cookbooks."
"All three of you are so creepy!" Ikkaku yells at them.
"You should have seen us when it was just us three." Law shrugs as the Strawhats start asking questions.

I know I literally made a whole thing of how I don't normally do fanmixes, but I needed some music that was under 40min and very familiar so I played Linkin Park's Meteora album and the entire time I had the band au in my brain. except they'd need more members to make it work. and i kept trying to think of who it'd be for such a collab. maybe i'm too tired idk but it was like if the au band sang in a higher register than they probably would and since both Linkin Park's first three albums and your art live rent-free in my head it was only a matter of time
thats actually rly perfect now that i think abt it. ive always imagined the music range Law brings is more indie soft rock and they have to balance it with kid and killer's metal and punk rocks. LP feels like it fits their style hmmm as for musical collabs, i haven't really thought much about who else is in the music industry. Most everyone in the AU has regular jobs to be socially accepted adults, but Kid in particular really wants this band to be a thing (especially for killer) after many attempts, band breakups and accidents. they could wring in the other kid pirates for a gig or two but barely as regulars.
possible candidates: Uta - but luffy never thought of bringing it up that his sister is a famous singer Corazon - Law saw all the Donquixote posters on their walls and decided to gatekeep him away from them as long as he can hawkins/apoo - kinda their gigmates before? left "for greener pastures" and now theyre not allowed near each other

I had an, interesting idea. Instead of leaving Luffy with Garp, Dragon just left him at some random small town and at someone point he meet Fujitora who knew Luffy for all of 5 minutes and was ready to die for him.
Leading to not only marine Luffy but also dad Fujitora.
*slams head on table*
Okay, so similar to Son of the Fog au thingie, Dragon in all his limited wisdom and after being raised by Garp decides that Luffy also being raised by Garp is the Worst Possible Idea. He doesn't want to go to the east blue at all really because that blue is famously sheltered and he wants his son to be aware of all the shit going on in the world for when (not if) he becomes another agent of chaos because he doesn't wanna be the only anti-government one in the family
He takes Luffy to some nowhere island in the north blue because it sucks there but also he gets put far enough away the government won't slaughter him right away for existing,
He spends a few years there in an orphanage or a church or something, the former he would be bullied for being small, whiney and very clearly autistic and the latter he would get kicked out once he started questioning and outright arguing any rules set by 'god' and the pastor. Anyways a series of easily preventable events later he ends up in a town that some of the Donquixote lackeys were skulking around in.
Fujitora goes because he's close and he's still salty about the warlord system that was only instilled recently (if Luffy's 7 he's 42 I think, and the warlord system is only a few years old so he's blind and used to it but just recently got full duty back). He meets Luffy because Luffy decided to try to fight the captain of this branch of the pirates (not Bellamy I don't think Bellamy's a really seasoned pirate yet?). It's to be noted the pirates were generally disturbing the peace and Luffy didn't care, but then they hit the guy that was feeding him table scraps and That Won't Do.
Fujitora steps in because he's reasonable, pirates try posturing Doflamingo's title but u can't stare down a blind man and Fujitora just has to make an example of one for them to go running. Luffy proceeds to thank him and then leave. Fujitora follows him back to the tavern, where the man that gave him table scraps holds Luffy up like simba and declares him a little hero. Luffy gets a Whole Meal, so doesn't care.
Fujitora ends up following Luffy around because he suspects the kid is homeless (he is) but listens to this scrawny toddler pick a fight with every injustice he sees - person getting attacked 4-on-1? Luffy's there, gets the shit kicked out of him, breaks a grown man's leg somehow and asks for food from the victim (he gets it). Guy beating his dog? Luffy chews through the dogs rope, robs the guy's house of food then sleeps in his doghouse.
Fujitora thinks he should be the future of all marines, is entirely unaware when he brings a smaller, younger, more flea-ridden clone of Garp The Fist into Sengoku's office - just when he thought maybe he could have Garp retire in the next decade
