round 1, poll 1
My i wojna:
painted during and after ww1 (1917-1923)
art nouveau aesthetics, baby!
the young couple is the artist and his wife
the old woman is meant to be the personification of death, most probably
"ohh a nice geometric backgorund" look closer! SNAKES
snakes with moth wings, can there be anything cooler than that. i mean they are there to represent the war so on that level they suck. but visually they are SO cool
Czworo dzieci:
i mean, isn't it just precious???
painted in 1929
reminds me of children's books illustrations
they look like they could be christmas caroling
i love the colours and the shapes ahhhhh
check out more of their works! Okuń, Makowski
