Because I'm Happy
I was sitting in my house the other day just feeling content, satisfied, surrounded by my books. It actually took me a few minutes to realize, because I wasn’t looking for it, but ultimately it struck me that I was feeling happy; just quietly, joyfully happy. I wasn’t happy because of any major activity I had planned or because anything special had happened, I was just happy about where I was in…

Alright new Jason Todd headcanons in a dpxdc setting:
Danny is a "liminal" ghost, rather than a "half" ghost. He's alive and dead at the same time. (He's like Jesus Christ (in the church denomination I grew up in), fully ghost and fully human.) Danny, in human form, can go through a ghost shield, because he IS a living human.
Jason, however, is a reanimated corpse. He isn't a ghost, wouldn't have a ghost core, etc, he has a normal human system that runs ON ectoplasm. Jason CANNOT go through a ghost shield, because he is always an ectoplasmic entity. Danny can go through the Fenton Ghost Catcher and be split into a ghost and a human; if Jason went through the ghost catcher, he would straight up die.
(For my purposes I'm gonna say that Jason became an ectoplasmic entity upon his resurrection, but wasn't very stable. Dunking in the Lazarus pit stabilized his system but also poisoned his ectoplasm.)
I do think that Jason could learn certain ghost abilities if he learned to harness his ectoplasm, especially if they detoxed him off the Lazarus waters. He's probably already enhancing his stealth and strength in ways he hasn't really noticed. I think he's held back by the amount of physical matter he's lugging around, so maybe he couldn't fly, but I'm imagining temporary invisibility, or intagibility of like, a limb at a time. Maybe he can't walk through walls, but in a fight he can dodge by instinctively making the targeted part of his body intangible.

Lmao Frank would absolutely keep a list of everything they tried to do to fix this situation. He has his work cut out for him with poor wally as well. Does he know what happened to Sally?
Frank does know what happened to Sally! ofc he caught his first glimpse of her when he sorta woke up, then after he Actually woke up, Wally made sure to sit him down and be like "she will kill you if you go near her <3"
still, Frank didn't really believe Wally. so Wally showed him proof:
and Frank quickly changed his tune.
and honestly, it's more like Wally has his work cut out for him with Frank lmao. cause by the time Frank fully wakes, Wally's pretty much given up. and rightfully so, there's... not really anything he can do except protect his sleeping friends.
so Frank's initial attempts to make a plan kinda went like:
Wally is very earnest about saying "that's nice". it is nice. it's refreshing to have someone around that still believes something can be done, however futile that hope is. Frank will catch on eventually.

Mikey and Raph’s relationship are usually very tense, as Raph’s overprotective and Mikey doesn’t like to be suffocated, thing is Mikey’s very verbal about his displeasure with Raph and that ends with them fighting a lot, going as far as physical fights (said physical fights are usually Mikey attacking and Raph simply going for defense, as Raph never dares left a finger against any of his brothers, especially his baby brother)
However it’s all a matter of perspective, neither of them is technically in the wrong, from Raph’s perspective, Mikey’s reckless actions has put out a name for him, making him a target for many, and whether Mikey can handle himself isn’t really in the equation in Raph’s thought process, as Raph isn’t taking any chances when it comes to his baby brother’s safety
From Mikey’s perspective, his eldest brother is suffocating him with his overprotective nature, making him very frustrated and in turn, even more violent, so he goes out and intentionally causes problems as a way to challenge Raph’s authority over him, he usually causes these problems to intentionally rile Raph up, he never succeeds, Raph is very quiet and barely even raises his voice let alone show any kinda outburst or even as far as an angry face, it frustrates Mikey to never end, sometimes escalating to said physical fights
Ironically however, despite their tense relationship, Mikey and Raph are almost inseparable, they usually play favorites, and Mikey is always very vocal about Raph being his favorite brother, a tiny detail I included in my Mikey design is the three bracelets, you see each holding a color representing one of his brothers, and Mikey has Raph’s bracelet the first before any of the others, signaling that Raph is his favorite brother, Mikey sometimes says that Raph “is no longer his favorite” yet you’d never see him ever rearranging the bracelets’ order
not only that but Mikey’s nature of “always keep up a smile” is never broken in front of anybody except Raph, cause as much as Mikey hates Raph’s overprotectiveness, his eldest brother succeeds at making him feel safe enough to drop the act and show what he’s truly feeling without any fear of any judgment
I wanted to talk about Mikey’s and Raph’s relationship for so damn long you don’t know fuhchcch
I LOVE THEM UR HONOR

tough pill i have to swallow is realizing that “getting better” doesn’t mean “getting to do more things,” getting better for me means taking better initiative in protecting myself. and THAT means making sure i do LESS things

after escaping containment, we have decided the old cage was not snake-escape-proof and moved said snek to new home, giving her a whole habitat revamp as well. We think it looks pretty good!!!! Snake is currently hiding but hoping she explores around soonish.

anyways, even though I can't say I particularly like Kalos, I'm still really excited!
honestly, the return of megas, a new Legends game (confirming that they're not leaving the format as a once-and-done deal!), pushing any possible Unova/Johto stuff for later down the line to hopefully get more development time and potentially be on the rumored switch 2... all huge wins, I'd say!
(besides, maybe they can finally give Kalos a real glow-up in terms of lore/writing... //sobs)

Grand-mère is so lucky she's already dead because she would have caught these hands. Anyways I'm so excited for the family, I'm rooting for them to find their happiness - LGL
Yeah, LGL, grand-mère is a bit problematic, to say the least. I am not without sympathy for her, especially if you read a little of her backstory, and consider the difficulty she would have faced as an unwed, single mother disowned by her family in the late 1890s. I think what she said to Josephine is true: she believes that she is in a position of power and in some way is bequeathing that onto her daughter, “saving” her from a life of poverty and dashed dreams by teaching her to exploit the prejudices placed on them for financial gain.
Of course what she is also doing is not only coercing her daughter into an immensely harmful situation for her, but in turn placing those societal expectations onto her instead of encouraging her to fight against them. In essence, she is doing what many mothers/fathers have done, which is to transfer their trauma onto their children. Josephine is in some ways trying to break that cycle for Violette, who she views much like her own daughter.
This of course creates another dynamic between them, one of fierce support and even displaced hopes and dreams. Josephine sees Violette almost as an incarnation of what she could have been, and as the 30s (and even the 40s/50s 👀) develops, this comes in contact with the often bleak state of reality as well as Violette’s own goals, which may or may not fall in line with those Josephine has for her.
Needless to say, this is the foundation of a long, ongoing dynamic that will shape both their lives for decades 😉

I love the idea of Raz and Norma coming to an understanding after their sisters start dating. Obviously neither of them are thrilled about the situation, but also neither of them want to be the one to ruin things for their sibling, and that's the seed of trust that a deeper reconciliation can be built on.
It's about the mutual "I dislike you, but I love my sister more."

Shine on You Crazy Diamond Spread with Alexandra Genetti's Jumbledance Tarot
Once again, the inspiration for this spread came from watching episodes of Professor of Rock focusing on Pink Floyd and the various challenges that face the group over its history. It reminded me how much I like this song and I decided to create a spread based on the lyrics.

I have to admit I'm still not very happy with the time jump/story shift as it pertains to Barry (the character). With one episode left I think I need to give up hope on ever getting a satisfying look into his childhood - learning about what happened to his family, the details of what Fuches meant when he referred to "raising [Barry] like a son," and specifically what must be incredibly complex and interesting stuff about his dad considering the somewhat contradictory facts that Barry a) has clear daddy issues and said he "never had a good male role model" and b) decided to name his son after his dad. You're telling me we set all that up and we're not actually going to expand on any of it? cool. cool
And I am just . . . not that interested in his motivations as a religious family man or whatever. There are so many aspects of this character I want to see explored, and I just don't care enough about this new stuff that was introduced for him. Like yeah, I understand the point of it - on the surface he's trying to protect his family but what he really wants is to protect the facade he's built for himself. I get it, I find it vaguely intriguing, and it makes sense for his character, but imo it's not AT ALL the most interesting thing they could be doing with him, and it's worse because it's most likely coming at the cost of not exploring the things I've wanted them to explore since season 1.

I - I finished the online process for medicaid in my new state a week ago. And there's now a medicaid card in my hand??? They got it to me that fast??? Like they want me to be able to have my medicine??? And I don't have to go through 50k more hoops over 6 months while hunting down a unicorn for its blood so I can sign in Mythos Blood that yes ffs my incurable illnesses they have records of haven't changed???? Which was the process in my old state and I kinda assumed it was the same in every state???
I'm honestly blown away by the process here, because it feels like they want to help me instead of sabatoge/stall until I give up. I realize there are still a lot of structural issues in the US and god knows we need healthcare for all, but damn. My new state cleared my low bar more than I expected.

everyone here was soooo excited because a national channel was going to bring back this iconic tv series, directed specifically to the youth, from our childhood and adolescence that we are so nostalgic about after 11 years for them to disappoint us all with the trailer because it looks like elite 2.0
