#my art #the x files #dana scully #fox mulder #alex krycek #i was talking about this on twitter yesterday but #i have a LOTTTTTT a lot of thought about this part of season two #mainly because i think that while scully probably realized she was never going to find peace ever again after emily #i do believe that the last time mulder ever thought everything would be okay was right before scully’s abduction #which is also kind of why i think mulder was closer to killing himself in ascension than in gethsemane #at the end of season four mulder is kind of resigned to his and scully’s lives unravelling #he’s more suspicious and slower to trust then he ever was #while ascension was the first time he was like. Oh okay. It’s over for us forever and ever #and the fact that he was still open and still kind of okay before that just kind of makes it worse #that he was just betrayed and left hanging and lost everyone he thought he had in one fell swoop #ascension jades the fuck out of him and you can see it. like through the whole series there are threads of it #his tendency to rely on skinner regresses for a while. he becomes even less functional when scully is gone. #he has far less patience for his informants and he refuses to rely on anyone the way he tried to on krycek #like it’s just. such an obvious shift in his character that you can tell his mindset about his and scully’s life has changed #and that’s a huge part of the show’s tragedy i think. ​there is no peace. there is no rest. it’s never going to be okay

dunno about alex+jean being endgame, since this is technically not a romance show and jojo always surprises, also looking at the poster, it's doesn't imply any pairing. I think 6 eps is enough to handle this subject with care, which I hope for because everything else was being written in a smart way. the show has mentioned twice that consent can be withdrawn at any point - in ep1 sex ed class and in ep5, so there's no way this is glossed over or diminished imo. I love jean (and fah) so much 😭

yeah you're absolutely right in everything you just said anon, but tbh I've been burned SOOOOO many times by thai dramas, even by directors I loved, that I prefer to be on the cautious side rather than to have too high expectations & be so disappointed it turns me off the whole show & p'jojo altogether. but I'm really hoping that you're right bc it wouldn't make sense for the show to have another message than the one so clearly spelled since the beginning. I do think it is gonna be about jean forgiving alex though, but maybe not a romantic ending of them two. besides, jean has way more chemistry with the actor guy played by joong lol, still waiting on that scene where she jumps on him like the queen she is 😌

When Alex told him about his relationship with his band mates, Willie had thought it was kind of cool. He was an open-minded kind of dude, and he could tell they made Alex happy. He'd made sure to reassure his boyfriend that he didn't mind at all, that he was glad he found something that worked for him.

He kind of regretted not asking for a flow chart, though. He wasn't sure if that was rude or not.

As far as he could tell, Luke and Reggie were dating Julie. Bobby was dating Reggie, but not Luke or Julie. Though he might be sleeping with Luke. Julie was dating Flynn, who was dating Reggie and Carrie. Carrie and Luke had this thing where either they hated each other or they were fucking like crazy, and honestly Willie wasn't sure he wanted to know.

And Alex... Willie had no idea who exactly Alex was dating, sleeping with, or what. Obviously not Julie and Flynn, he'd made that much clear. He and Carrie were Ultimate Dance Buddies, which was both adorable and sometimes really fucking hot. He's not sure if Carrie was the one that convinced Alex those short shorts were absolutely essential to learning new choreography but if she did he should get her flowers.

As for the guys, well, they were all so touchy it was almost impossible to figure out who was dating who. Alex and Reggie bickered so much you'd think they didn't like each other, or that they were an old married couple. Luke was known to drape himself over any of the guys, and the fact that Alex didn't shove him off probably meant something, right? And once when he came to pick Alex up for a date, he'd seen Bobby give him such a sweet goodbye kiss he nearly ruined the moment to go 'awwww'.

What was even more confusing was that Willie somehow found himself pulled into their little group until he wasn't entirely sure who he was dating. It had started out pretty clear: Willie was dating Alex, and the rest of the group joked about how he was their 'boyfriend-in-law'.

Except these days, Luke draped himself over Willie just as easily as he did any of the others, and Willie found he didn't really mind. He and Reggie had started going on 'adventures' together that seemed more and more like they might be dates: sneaking into the animal shelter after hours to play with the dogs, going out for ice cream, thrifting to find weird treasures to bring back to the others. And when they all curled up for a movie together, Willie's favourite spot was snuggled up to Bobby, because he knew how to play with Willie's hair just right.

And Alex just watched him with soft eyes and a knowing smile.

Which was why his current situation was so jarring. "Why am I in your phone as Himbo Number Two?" Alex asked, and even though he tried to play it off as a joke, Willie could tell that he was hurt. Which just wouldn't do at all.

"Because clearly you're not the biggest himbo in the band, Hotdog," he tried to explain. He didn't want Alex to think he didn't come first, or anything. "Reggie got his head stuck between the bars of that Basset Hound's cage on our last... adventure."

"It's okay, you can say date," Alex gently corrected him. Willie blinked.

"Really?" he asked, slightly awed at that revelation. So Reggie thought of them as dates too? And he'd apparently told Alex, but not Willie? More importantly, he could have been kissing Reggie this whole time?

Alex laughed, pressing a kiss to his cheek. "Really. And since you didn't seem to know that, I feel like if anyone should be labeled Himbo Number Two, it should be you, Speed Bump."

"Okay, now I really need a flow chart," Willie complained. Who knew who else he could be kissing?

#until we meet again #to think I very likely would never have watched this if it wasn't for between us #I didn't plan to up until halfway through the first episode of between us #but then I needed to look up some context and got curious #and I rewatched bu ep1 again after finishing uwma ep5 and god so many things hit so much differently with all the added context #I wish it was physically possible to watch these episodes faster #I have no idea how people waited for these episodes week after week after week back then #I would have gone insane #why do I have to be bound by the laws of nature #I want to savour every second but also make time move faster so I can watch it all in one go #started watching yesterday and am about halfway through now and very much in love with this show 🥺😭 #my god the layers of this show #the plot is starting to thicken even further #I'm eating up every little crumb #it's nice to see teamwin embedded in the story and not just in their supercut #especially since there are so many small moments that weren't in there #I'm living for the squad's friendship #I love how savage pharm can be with the most innocent expression on his face (yes this is about him epically burning alex) #I love how ready team is to throw hands for pharm to get the creep to back off #del is a beautiful angel #and I also love the two cooking club girls #sin is really cute but I also can never stop staring at his hair wondering if it's real or not #sorn is a lot more likeable than kinn's crazy ex (hopefully it'll stay that way 🙈) #now I kinda want somebody to pull a tankhun and smack alex over the head with a tray every time he overstays his non-existent welcome #'if you make him sad I'mma steal him from you' - dude he rejected you like three times already #really like the music in this show too #and inkorn constantly make my heart ache 😭 #they could have run these two stories parallel to each other and only brought in that scene from ep.1-1 much later as a twist with thorns #but I preferred getting stabbed immediately and only then having the gaps of the past filled in as well as getting healed in the present #bit scared of possible angst yet to come but I can take it; I'm still not over how good this show is so far 😭

the slip up l lando norris x reader

request/summary – lando and reader are in a secret established relationship, until lando accidentally slips up on stream

author's notes – first piece of writing, feedback appreciated!!! this is just my thoughts written down honestly, i didn’t have much idea where i was going with it so enjoy.

Max was streaming with Lando at his place. Lando drags his feet over to the stream room, sitting on a chair next to Max. He was scrolling on his phone, trying to pass the time. 

“Mate, I’m gonna leave, you’re being so boring,” Lando joked under his breath as he ran a hand through his hair. 

“I’ll make things more interesting then. Chat, wanna know something really interesting about Lando?” Max asked with a mischievous smile as he looked back at Lando. Lando watched with suspicion of what max could say next. 

“Lando’s got a secret girlfriend,” Max sings to annoy Lando. Lando’s eyes shot up, his heart pounding as he turned off his phone, the same phone he was using to text you, his girlfriend. “I don’t, chat, don’t listen to him. He’s just trying to piss me off,” Lando says as he shoots Max a glare.

A few months later, everyone has chalked up that interaction to Max simply trying to annoy and rile up Lando, and no one thought much of it. On a miracle of a night in spring, Lando was in Monaco and decided to stream. He had a hoodie on, his hair all messy, but a smile on his face. About an hour into the stream, I knock on the door of his stream room quietly. Lando immediately turned off his video and mic, telling chat to give him a minute. 

I walk in, a black slip dress on with a cropped white cardigan, my hair and makeup done all fancy. “Hi, baby,” Lando says as he pulls me in by the waist, onto his lap. “Girls night tonight, right?” He says with a soft smile. He always makes sure to pay attention to anything I’ve mentioned to him, including my plans to hang out with Lily and Carmen tonight, Alex and George’s girlfriends. 

I hum in response. “Yeah, we’re gonna get dinner and then take some Instagram photos,” I say as I stand up from his lap, “you like the dress? It’s new.” I give him a little twirl to show off the dress. 

Lando smiles brightly. “I love it, baby, you look gorgeous. Like always,” he says as he leans in for a kiss. “Text me when you’re done and need me to pick you up, yeah?” I nod and smile. 

Once I leave, Lando puts his headset back on, turning his mic and camera back on. He scrunches up his face as he’s met by shouting from Max into his headset. “What’s your problem, man?” Lando asks with confusion. Max sighs. “Lando, you had your mic on the whole time. People heard that whole conversation and I was trying to tell you but as always, you ignored me,” Max says with some frustration in his voice, but mostly amusement. 

“Oh,” Lando says as he realizes what has happened. Not knowing what to do, Lando panics and ends stream. 

When my friends and I reach the restaurant, we find it pouring rain, which was the most of our worries since the restaurant was outdoor. With frowns, we all pile back into the car and drive ourselves home. I arrive home only twenty minutes after I left, my dress soaked. My brows furrow in confusion to see Lando on the couch on his phone when i come back, and not on stream. 

I slip off my shoes. “I thought you were streaming?” I ask softly as I make my way over to him. “What happened to you? You’re all soaked! Here, let me get you a towel and you can get dressed into some of my hoodie and sweats to get comfy,” Lando says, trying to avoid the fact that he had just live streamed his whole conversation with his girlfriend. 

I saw the panic in Lando’s eyes. “Stop,” I say as I stood in front of him, “what did you do?” Lando shoots me a bright grin. “I love you, babe. So so much. And you know I’d do anything for you.” This made me even more suspicious. “Lan,” I say as my eyes narrowed.

“Okay, okay. I might have forgotten to mute my mic when we were talking right before you left. I swear I thought I had turned it off!” He says as he panics before beginning to ramble. “And I called you baby, and gorgeous, and your voice was heard too. And Max was telling me the whole time through my headset, but it was off and even if it were on, you know I don’t think about anything else when I’m with you. And there were thousands of people on the stream and you specifically told me you wanted to keep it private because you didn’t want to get hate crimed by the fans and you wouldn’t be able to handle it and I mean, I wanted to but it just slipped and im so so sorry but-“ He stops in confusion when a giggle escapes my lips. “Why aren’t you upset?” He asks slowly.

I smile as I slip my arms around his neck, his hands instinctively wrapping around my waist. “Well. Number one, you’re cute when you panic. Number two, no one saw me, so it’s okay. I mean, considering how in love you are with me, they were bound to find out at some point that you had a girlfriend,” I tease with a smile tugging at my lips. 

He scoffs and rolls his eyes playfully at me. “Okay, yeah. I am absolutely in love with you. Still, you’re not bothered by this?” he asks slowly, hesitation lacing his voice.

“I promise I’m not. It was a mistake. Plus, that just means it’s gonna be all the more fun trying to watch them figure out who it is you’re dating,” I say playfully with a giggle. 

“That’s true,” Lando says softly with a hum, “I love you.”

“I love you too. Although, don’t make me have to have you on adult supervision every time you stream now to make sure nothing else slips out of your mouth,” I tease as I playfully poke his side. 

“Ah! Okay okay, promise,” he says with a giggle as he leans in for a gentle and loving kiss.
