Favourite Character: Black and Schilly! It's a tie between them. They're also my favourite dexholders.

A random thought: It'd be so cool to have a reunion with the dexholders from all 9 generations.

Unpopular Opinion: Idk if I have any unpopular opinions.

My canon OTP: Franticshipping. It's only ship confirmed to be canon. Also, Ruby and Sapphire do look cute together. And I'm a sucker for childhood friends to lovers.

My non-canon OTP: Agencyshipping! I love this pairing so much! Black and White are perfect for each other. No one can change my mind. I remember happily fangirling over them being reunited.

Pairing I'm not a fan of: Oldrivalshipping. I just don't get it. I interpret all of Green and Blue's interactions as platonic. They're just good friends imo.

Most Badass Character: Moon and Platinum! It's so cool that Moon can throw pokeballs with her bow and arrow. Her archery skills are impressive. Platinum is a good battler. I admire her battling prowess especially facing off against Candice. It was clever of her to let Lopunny use Healing Wish to fully heal Rapidash in order to defeat Froslass and claim victory.

Most Epic Villain: Sird! I love how Sird turned out to be a Team Galactic Commander. She infiltrated Team Rocket as part of an undercover mission for Cyrus.

Character I feel the writers screwed up (in one way or another): Schilly. I'm a little salty about Schilly being eliminated from the Gym Challenge. I really wished that there was some focus on her battling skills before she lost to Opal. Even though she was limited to just her Raboot, Kilo and Tera, she could've come up with strategies to compensate for the lack of team members. Tera the Gigantamax Toxtricity did not deserve to go down the way it did! (fainting after hitting itself in confusion because of Gmax Alcremie's cream missiles is bs). I'm sorry if I sound petty... it's just that Schilly is my fave Galar dexholder and she deserves better.

Favourite Frienship: Diamond, Pearl and Platinum! The Sinnoh dexholders should never be separated. I also like Black's friendships with Cheren and Bianca.

Character I most identify with: To be honest, I never thought about this before. I think that I have to go with X.

Character I wish I could be: Black! Man, I wish I could be as passionate about my own dreams as Black is towards his own dreams of becoming Unova's Champion.

oh boy here we go pfff

Pokemon

blorbo (favorite character, character I think about the most): I think I owe this spot to Red in light of how much commentary I've managed to get from his blog pfff. To this day I still had no idea I had so much to say about Red.

scrunkly (my “baby”, character that gives me cuteness aggression, character that is So Shaped): Xavier/Calem. Literally from day 1 during the first ads of XY I loved him and I still do he is so shaped he is best Kalosian boy.

scrimblo bimblo (underrated/underappreciated fave): Can I call Wally this? I don't feel like he's that underrated but I suppose if you were to call him that, yeah I'd put Wally here. Wally is a good boy he deserves good things.

glup shitto (obscure fave, character that can appear in the background for 0.2 seconds and I won’t shut up about it for a week): Probably Lucy from the Battle Frontier. Ironically her part in the Battle Frontier is the only area I ever managed to come close to beating when I was like 10, she's really cool. I would never have the confidence to roleplay her but she's fun I like her.

poor little meow meow (“problematic”/unpopular/controversial/otherwise pathetic fave): I don't know if I would call Lisia a poor little meow meow but I don't think I hear too many people say they like her these days pff. Probably has a lot to do with how idol culture is incredibly toxic which is a completely valid reason to dislike her. But when I got ORAS and was playing as May I thought they had cute interactions so I suppose I'll just set her here.

horse plinko (character I would torment for fun, for whatever reason): Much more recent character this time, I suppose I'll say Bede. I think he's entertaining, love to see the character development he gets. Very fun very much a little shit. eeby deeby (character I would send to superhell): Ghetsis. I don't think I even need to elaborate here do I?

Time to link a ton of characters and spoil an entire anime pfff

blorbo (favorite character, character I think about the most): literally you're looking at him. maki maki maki. I've had passionate opinions on his entire life for like 10 years this kid has a grip on my life.

scrunkly (my “baby”, character that gives me cuteness aggression, character that is So Shaped): July, who is ironically a character tangentially involved in getting Maki killed. But I can't help but love him anyway, I honestly love a lot of the characters who are 'dolls' from DtB. July just happens to be my favorite, for the fact that he considers the group that uses him for tracking purposes to actually be his friends; despite the fact dolls don't usually express emotion. But once this is known to them, he sort of becomes the adoptive son of the group. It's very cute July is a good boy. scrimblo bimblo (underrated/underappreciated fave): Mai Kashiwagi, joining Maki in the 'I'm a side character with a good story but hardly focused on'. She's an incredibly tragic character who believed herself to be a normal human, and her father tried to keep her that way. But it delayed the inevitable when she ends up becoming a Contractor despite his best efforts. Something to be said for not trying to make someone be something that they're not or you will face the consequences and hurt everyone involved. glup shitto (obscure fave, character that can appear in the background for 0.2 seconds and I won’t shut up about it for a week): can I say maki again-- no? okay :( I think I'll go with Nick Hillman, who is literally just a guy. I mean he's still a Contractor but he just looks like such a normal guy, and for a little while he has a genuinely nice moment with Hei that I remember very vividly. I feel like if he wasn't in this situation in the show, he and Hei probably could've been close and it makes me sad that they never get that.

poor little meow meow (“problematic”/unpopular/controversial/otherwise pathetic fave): I don't think this character is controversial? But like, in-universe she sure is. Havoc is definitely a poor little meow meow, she has a horrible ability that causes mass destruction and I won't get into what her 'payment' is, but you could say it makes her into a vampire in probably one of the worst ways possible. She hates it and was much happier with her life when her powers faded, but her episode ends with those powers returning and her having to be killed. It's probably what she would've wanted but I sincerely liked her and her fucked up story. horse plinko (character I would torment for fun, for whatever reason): I want to say Hei but it feels so mean to him he already goes through this enough pff. He's our main character and I want to torture him even more? He's so sad in season 2 even pfff. But yeah, Hei. I think he could take the horse plinko.

eeby deeby (character I would send to superhell): AMBER. For negative anyway. I feel like I don't even need to explain this. Superhell positive I guess? November 11? I don't hate the guy for what he did to Maki despite the fact by all accounts you'd think I would pff. But nah, I think his character is interesting enough. But have fun in superhell for killing my actual favorite.

An Analysis of Laverre

I’ve been in the Spe fandom for 5 years, and have been around during the early days of the XY arc. The only content I got, like many English speaker fans, were Coronis’s summaries of the arc being released, and theviolenttomboy’s comics based on those summaries. Even though they don’t show much details at the time, I was enthralled by the fast pace, the action, and how interesting X and Y are, especially X. He’s a shut-in, and Y is his ever faithful friend who stuck by him despite him being a hardass at times, while also keeping their friend group together. I fell in love with them as a ship because of how loyal she was to X, an ideal many would want but unfortunately may not have, as depressed people are hard to deal with, shown with his friends having already given up on him begging him to leave his room because they have their own lives. X returns this loyalty with deep care and trust for her, while also considering her needs and emotions.

While I had other ships that eventually fell out of interest, Laverre has staunchly remained as my absolute favorite ship of Spe, and perhaps one of the top faves among all of my ships. It’s because it’s been with me for a long time, but it also resonates with me. I do have depressed friends, some lost and some still present, and I understand the pain it is at times to try to help them, not being depressed myself. I have a long-term boyfriend who faces similar issues X has, who I sometimes can’t understand because I don’t have those same issues. I can relate to Y of the frustrations felt towards X, and sometimes, my friends are too frustrating for me. However, Y has the ability to make it clear when he has pissed her off, and X has the ability to recognize he causes her stress and try to own up to it and change instead of blaming it on circumstances, most prominent when she points out how him running off to fight Team Flare is an incredibly awful decision that endangered him and everyone else to try to back him up, and cause them a lot of grief. He apologizes for doing that to Y, and listens to her for the rest of the arc by communicating properly on what he plans to do.

But even before that most notable moment between the two, during their time with Cassius, X gives Y distance when she finds out Grace was kidnapped by Team Flare and makes it clear she wants to be alone. While it may look like he’s not considerate of her needs, X’s already established to be a bit of a mess, already has pissed off Y by using her Rhyhorn as his new room, and is very mad and stressed about those news too, so him trying to help her with that would make things worse. Not only that, it’s established he has a much better relationship with Grace, with X stated to care a lot for Grace by Y, and we can see that as him venting it out by needlessly Mega Evolving and defeating a wild Pokemon, and being even more snappish. Not only is X a mess who has grief on top of that, he’s going to be biased to Grace, and he knows that won’t help Y whatsoever, who already is acting withdrawn to everyone else.

We can see that Grace tries to drag X into her argument with Y the day before Vaniville gets destroyed, but he refuses to get involved, not only because that is a shitty move on Grace’s part, but because it’s not his own problem. He can’t solve Y’s problems with Grace, only she can. Grace’s her mom. So, he gives her space to process her feelings while he and the rest of the group try to move with their best course of action.

As shown here, X still shows concern for her. Y tells him while she is still upset, she decided to let go of it because the situation right now is dire and she can’t sit around and grieve. All it matters at the moment is to stop her brainwashed classmates from crashing the helicopter everyone’s in.

As shown here, X trusts her to fight them off, while they focus on trying to stop the brainwashing, show in the next panel. She doesn’t keep it bottled up for long either, as she vents out her problems about Grace on Yvette while she fights her, and finds herself feeling better from it, and realizes that she shouldn’t have been so secretive about her stress to her friends either.

While it may hurt, giving space to those who you care about when they are stressed and make it clear they want to be alone is sometimes the best option. Trying to help them when you know you aren’t in a good position to do so is only going to make things worse for them. Let them decide how to solve their stress and how to express it, as they’re the ones in charge of it, but let them know you’re there for them. X understands this and thus gives Y space, but still makes sure she’s fine enough to battle, then trusts her when she makes her decision, even when she admits she’s not completely fine.

Not only are they able to be honest with each other, own up to their faults, and know when to intervene and when to not, they both inspired the other to change for the better. X deeply inspired Y, as seen in their childhood flashback of him encouraging her to pursue her dreams of being something not a Rhyhorn Racer. This radically changed her view of herself from being helpless to the whims of others and to hide her true feelings, to having control over her destiny and to be honest about them. Y is deeply grateful for this, and despite him being a hardass, she sticks by with him because she truly loves him for that.

Y in turn also inspires X, as it takes until the end, where X realized that while people have tried to exploit him and his Pokemon and Team Flare are powerful assholes, he had people who were always supporting him, including Y, waiting for him to go out before the entire mess happened. This makes him realize his view that the entire world is out to get him is wrong, as while he agrees with the misanthropic Emma the world is terrible, there are good people who want to help him. It may have taken years instead of probably a few months for Y, but she has inspired him to change for the better, and he’s grateful for that too.

Interestingly enough, while X is a hardass to Y at times, he never is very aggressive to her, whereas he is towards Tierno and Trevor when they want X to try something out and cooperate respectively, though both happened for one time and both situations were particularly stressful. While he certainly shouldn’t be so aggressive to them, this makes his respect for Y more prominent, as while Y yells and scolds at him all the time to stop being a dick and get out of his room/tent, he doesn’t really do anything as direct as that. This seems to indicate that Y’s extremely important to him, unfortunately for those two, or he knows Y really won’t put up with his bullshit unlike Tierno, who while nice, is firm that he shouldn’t have done that, and Trevor’s very easily scared, though is able to assert himself.

While it’s a popularly held belief X and Y have a sibling-like relationship, I very much disagree and dislike. And it’s not just because there's a lack of Western content from that notion. It also feels very shameful to even like them romantically because of that. The manga itself doesn’t even seem to support it either. Grace may have taken care of X for at most five years and that takes up a big part of their life, but X and Y don’t seem to think they’re siblings. While of course, it varies case by case, kids being raised together starting at the age of 7 is generally not young enough for them to consider the other siblings. Hell, it seems to support there may be some romance going on on Y’s part:

I would never call my theoretical brother that in a serious situation if you ask me. Of course, you can view it as a phrase with deep platonic love, but this wording is most certainly not sibling-like. It also seems to imply Y has been trying to get X out of his room for so long because of her infatuation for X that evolved into pining, though that could just be shipping goggles.

In a previous panel shown here, X also refers to Grace as “your mom” when asking Y if she’s going to be fine after isolating herself from the bad news of Grace being kidnapped, instead of “our mom” or “mom”. That kind of wording is way too detached for someone who is seen by the fandom to be a sibling-like figure, and again seems to say they’re merely just childhood friends who were taken care of by the same woman.

While X’s aggression towards Cassius teasing him that Y’s his girlfriend twice was taken as disgust, it’s quite a common trope. It makes sense in character too, as X’s established to like bottling things up, so it’s not a surprise that he’d also deny that he likes Y. Cassius, while helping them, is still an adult, and X doesn’t like them so doesn’t trust him either. His extreme aggression towards Essentia assuming Y’s his girlfriend is fairly justified in that situation, as they had to separate despite it going against their rules, and X is very aware of how Y acts that it takes only one word and a slight change of attitude to crush her head. While that may be seen as extreme disgust, it’s way more likely he knows Essentia could pretend to be anyone given how she accidentally activated the mimicking people function, and knows she’s a big threat because of her Trevenant and she’s superhumanly fast.

It can be quite easy to say Y has feelings for X, but because X has forced emotional constipation, we can’t be sure if he reciprocates. X’s moments of ship tease is muddled with other factors, like the aforementioned denying Y’s his girlfriend to Cassius and crushing Essentia’s head for pretending to be Y, but there’s one tiny moment that stands out for me:

This is a rather major contrast compared to this:

Despite his acknowledgement of being a great trainer, he gets surprisingly flustered when Y tells him it was thanks to him she’s more honest towards others and herself. X, who while may not want to admit it, is arrogant on top of easily blaming himself for a lot of problems, which is why he felt secure to infiltrate Team Flare’s base. To see him surprisingly embarrassed of changing Y for the better hints he has a special attachment to Y, and possibly surprise from X himself that Y still is grateful for that and knows he can be more than a reckless idiot, even though she made it clear he stressed her and the others out a lot.

To wrap up this very long ramble up, X and Y are an example of two people, with flaws and their own issues, being able to support each other, care for each other, and be the most important people in their lives, even if X is depressed and having sometimes very unbearable flaws. However, Y makes it clear he is not allowed to get away with them just because he’s depressed and has good intentions, and he acknowledges the same. He makes it clear that he trusts and cares for her, and she appreciates and gives that in return. It’s a two-way relationship with honest communication and positive growth for the two of them, of moving as much as they can together from danger and past wounds, even if they never completely heal.

I woke up today thinking about my dgm mdzs crossover I want to indulge in, and just like that, I suddenly realized, “but if I do a split like Mana and Nea, wouldn’t WWX and MXY be babies???” and as cute as this would be, unless I change the timeline and figure out how they grow up, it would be a logistic pain.

Unless Allen feels that and come grab the babies and then I play with the Ark and makes it that time pass differently. Now that’s an idea... Maybe one of the what if side stories.

Yes my self control has gone off the window, but hey, how can I resist mixing my two fave fandoms, and how can I not indulge in the different versions of my initial idea of Noah!WWX.

For the curious, here’s under the read more the basic ideas I’ve had!

Which. Got long but. Yeah. Have fun with the thinking I’ve done for this. I’m pretty sure I do intend to write things, just might take a while so have fun with knowing the ideas!

(In which I ended up thinking I might just do a series with each “story” being collection of scenes for each different branching I can think of, because honestly I cannot choose between all the options).

(And I haven’t touched yet the idea of an actual full out crossover, where there’s actual dimension travel).

Worldbuilding is based on the idea that DGM canon happened millennias before MDZS canon, and at the end of the Holy War, there was a reset of the world, which allowed a new world to emerge and so this how I explain how the world for this went from what it is in dgm canon to how it is in mdzs canon.

So this means I can then add the fact all humans still are descendants of the Noahs, but the gene is dormant and the Noahs don’t mean to ever wake/reincarnate again.

Thing is, spiritual energy pretty much is the “descendant” of Innocence and resentful energy is the “descendant” of Dark Matter.

Other thing is, humans ended up viewing spiritual energy as the “righteous” path and haven’t touched resentful energy, or anyone who did try, never really managed to.

So, enter Wei Wuxian who is the first human to actually use resentful energy, cultivate with it, handle a large amount of it, and also who first contact with it is being thrown in the biggest amount of it and surviving and taming it out of pure willpower.

Then he uses it in large amount during the Sunshot Campaign, including the very powerful Stygian Tiger Seal. He never stops using it, if not as deeply as during the campaign, and eventually, he goes live in the Burial Mound again.

So what I mean is, from the moment he is thrown in Burial Mound, he has been in contact with deep, deep level of resentful energy. And not only is he the first human to do so, he also is without a golden core or spiritual cultivation, which means he has zero “descendant” of Innocence in him.

Then he dies, in Burial Mound, however his soul isn’t actually destroyed. I always kind of headcanoned that his soul was “kept safe” in the Burial Mounds, and in this case, it’s even more true.

So his soul, who has been already exposed to resentful energy since he was thrown to Burial Mounds, stays years directly exposed to resentful energy.

And then Mo Xuanyu calls him into his body via sacrifice ritual.

And the thing is, all that resentful energy had already stirred Wei Wuxian’s Noah gene, but this is a final drop. Because what it does to Wei Wuxian’s soul is to feel like he’s being reincarnated into a host, which is how Noahs would reicarnated.

And so, when Wei Wuxian is called back into Mo Xuanyu body, what he doesn’t know is that his Noah’s gene has been triggered, and he is fated to go through a Noah’s Awakening and become a Noah himself.

And because he is the first Noah since the world reset, and all Noahs were dormant, there is only one Noah that he can be as the first: The First, the Millennium Earl, Adam.

Initially, I just thought he would be super confused and a little scared, thinking something is wrong with the ritual, because he would be in lowkey Awakening process from the moment he wakes in Mo Xuanyu body. He would feel pain and headaches and feverish often, and at some point, he would go actual Awakening with it being really painful and high fever, and probably not super long but not quick either.

Then I had the idea of how Adam split into Mana and Nea in DGM canon, and so Mo Xuanyu actually survives the ritual because they kind of split rather than Mo Xuanyu being erased; and so yes Mo Xuanyu is fated to Awaken too because both his and Wei Wuxian’s body are “marked” as Noahs (with Noah gene triggered).

My idea is that they do end up like twins, with their appearance a mix of Wei Wuxian’s physical traits and Mo Xuanyu’s physical traits. Basically, for a brief moment, there is one body that has both of their souls, so this body is both of them, and then it splits, into two “twins”.

Which does mean they both have both of their bloodline. So both of them are the sons of Wei Changze, Cange Sanren, Young madam Mo, and Jin Guangshan, by blood.

Pending to decide is whether WWX inherit Mana and MXY inherit Nea (or vice versa, WWX inheriting Nea and MXY inheriting Mana) with Adam existing in both of them; or WWX inherits the whole package and MXY is considered a new Noah (without a Noah’s Memory; considered the first generation of 15th Noah?).

Of course, it did help in MXY case that he touched such a ritual, as again, resentful energy is the “descendant” of Dark Matter. But you know who else deeply touched resentful energy? Xue Yang.

Now the thing is, it is only when WWX (and MXY) awakens that other Noahs can awaken. Now the question I still ask myself is if XY start to awaken at the same time (slower process?), not long after (slow process still?), or only when he comes face to face the first time with WWX (and/or MXY).

And the thing is, Noahs value each other deeper than anything, on an instinctual basis. WWX hates what XY has done, but as a Noah, who can sense a fellow Noah, he feels kinship. As for MXY, he has mixed feelings, and he too would feel kinship, and because he does, it’s even harder for WWX to hate XY himself. At the same time, XY feels, well, Adam is considered the Patriarch, lowkey the father figure of all Noahs, the leader for sure, so XY instinctively doesn’t want to disappoint WWX.

There’s no escaping that XY is Awakening too, so WWX end up objectively thinking, okay, he’s a Noah, he’s mine, so I’m now responsible for him. And ultimately, between XY own wish for someone to care for him (which he views as “someone to give him candy every day”) and his Noah’s instincts who takes delight in being cared for by Adam, WWX manages to bring XY to grey-er area.

Which Noahs does XY Awaken as? I have not yet fully decided, but honestly, Joyd seems like a good match. It also helps that Joyd, and the previous incarnation, Tyki, is actually pretty grey, loves having both white and black, and Tyki himself did have affection for some humans and was pretty laid back. Joyd would be able to “balance” XY and bring this more balance, more grey personality.

Also yes, Allen is meant to show up, I still haven’t fully decided if Nea is in fact still within his body, and so like, whether WWX or MXY is meant to be “Nea”, they really need to find him so they can be complete, so they would also poke awake Allen. That or just, Allen wakes?

Okay but the thing is, I also loved the idea that Nea was indeed still hosted by Allen, so only Mana is hosted by WWX, and when WWX awakens it becomes a big issue because he’s not stable as he’s missing a part of the whole package.

So yeah I need to decide who host who, and how it plays out.

To be fair, that particular issue of not being complete can play out easily in the what if side stories, as it’s only in this main story (default story?) that there’s this whole split.

Now about the side stories/what if fics

WWX and MXY actually splits as babies, the same way Mana and Nea in dgm canon split from Adult!Adam into two “twin” babies. Allen senses it and find them, and raise them. Problem to figure out is timeline. Also once they’re adult, it goes pretty much similar to how I would view the main/default story, I think. Maybe. For now this is really just the faint idea of them actually splitting into babies and Allen grabbing them. Parental Allen to WWX and MXY.

WWX awakens as a Noah when Wen Chao throws him in the Burial Mounds. Probably, he does start to work on cultivating resentful energy, but he also Awakens, and in this context, he’s... more Noah than human. And by that I mean he’s easily more bloodthirsty, sadistic, and merciless. And a good dose of not mentally stable. It can smoothe out though, as a Noah he really values “family” and so his siblings can stabilize his mental state. But also, he’s way more into protecting the Jiang, his “clan”, and especially his siblings. He won’t want to leave them, he would rather make it clear you are doomed if you so much as plot against them. But also, he’s more likely to be less closed off to his siblings.

WWX awakens at some point during the two years (in my timeline of MDZS) he lived in Burial Mounds. Give a good scare of the Wen, especially Wen Qing who has no fricking idea what is happening to him and everyone lowkey afraid he’s just. Dying. Maybe Wen Ning actually “feels” something though? Like he can tell he’s not, and he’s like, “Jie, I think he’s... transforming?” and that’s another scare because they think he might be becoming a demon. But yes, eventually, he awakens, and the thing is, he becomes a Noah when he has a whole group of people under his care. He has a “clan”, a family, a son, and siblings. So in this scenario, it’s the Noahs familial instincts that are stronger, and WWX really wants to protect the Wens, but also wants his siblings. And so, well he’s still deeply protective, but he actually also kind of, manage more peaceful approach. He wants to reconnect with the Jiang, and for that, he is aware that he needs to not make it harder, which. Is totally the influence of Mana too.

WWX awakens when he means to die with the backlash of destroying the Seal, and that idea demands in itself branching off ideas. Because A) he can awaken in front of everyone and A-1) vanish into the Ark and everyone kinda knowing he probably didn’t die or A-2) he doesn’t vanish and everyone like “now what”; B) he awakens precisely as he’s being eaten by the corpse which, B-1) might mean his corpse start getting “scared” when they sense his Noah aura (and so everyone kind of see something is going on) or B-2) it’s agony because for a few moments he’s just being eaten and also regenerating, and then B-2-a) does he do a power blast and everyone like “what the heck” or B-2-b) does someone notice he’s not dying and maybe it’s JC and maybe he’s like “okay wtf no” or B-2-c) No one notices so maybe he slips off (unless he vanished with Ark). And then C) whether he vanishes into the ark and/or no one notice he’s not dying (and manages to slip off to hide), he would want to go take A-Yuan and so C-1) does he manage to do so when everyone thinks he’s dead? C-2) does he manage to do so but also everyone is aware he probably didn’t dit? C-3) is there a time lapse between his “death” (or escape) and when he gets himself to find A-Yuan and so Lan Wangji shows up? C-3a) does LWJ see him?? C-3b) does he not see him and WWX decides A-Yuan might be better with LWJ??

Why do I do this to myself, I don’t know, but it’s fun to think about it all. Maybe some might be collections of scenes and such, rather than a proper storyline. Even if main/default, I kind of have to decide when the Awakening actually completes (aka how long WWX is lowkey always sick), as then it can vary greatly what happens if he’s already an awakened Noah. There can even be post canon awakening soooo.

Maybe it’s not that I’ll have “main/default” and “side” stories, maybe I’ll just have a series that has a “basic worldbuilding” one shot and then stories that are collection of scenes and each story has a specific type of settings?? Honestly I probably need to do that, to first have properly and all clear the worldbuilding, then also the few points where WWX could awaken and the different branching it can do, and then give a nickname to each branch and write scenes for each however inspiration come.

Salty fandom questions

Thanks to @darknesshadows @darknessp @malikaesthetics for sending in questions. I’m answering all of them together and putting my answers behind a cut because this turned into a bit of an essay. Because SOMEONE ( *cough* @dnteverdoubtme *cough*) said I should just answer them all (seriously, if I wake up tomorrow with no followers left I will blame this entirely on you). Also, well, salt. Quite a bit of salt.

Anyone following me for longer than 4 weeks shouldn’t be surprised by any of these answers (even though I’ve probably never spelled things out so explicitly), however for those of you who are new around here… beware some highly unpopular, possibly PROBLEMATIC™ opinions. Consider this your only warning and proceed at your own risk (or, you now, just don’t ;- ).

(I’ve done my best to ensure that this doesn’t end up anywhere near any tags, if it does anyway it’s not intentional)

Disclaimer: when I talk about “The XY fandom”, this is obviously a generalisation. I know it doesn’t apply to everyone. Some of my mutuals are part of the xy fandom, and all of them are lovely people. /end disclaimer

What OTPs in your fandom(s) do you just not get? While I personally don’t ship any of the canon ships, I do get why people ship them. If we’re talking all the ships in this fandom that anyone could possibly ship, I’d have to say ClaIec. Or Alec/any girls really. Make no mistake, I’m not saying this due to moral or ethical concerns – personally I don’t give a flying fuck what people ship, even if its VaIentine x a Vetis demon, whatever floats your boat – but I just really, fundamentally do not get it. I mean that boy is as gay as they come, take that away and you’ve got an entirely different character. Beats me really.

Are there any popular fandom OTPs you only BroTP? All the canon ships, current and future ones.

Have you ever unfollowed someone over a fandom opinion? More than once. I usually live by “don’t like don’t read”, and I scroll past / blacklist a lot. But there’s a handful of things where my stance is 100% A and if yours is B or C, that’s not something I can ignore. In this fandom, it’s mostly when people post / reblog certain nasty anti opinions/posts.

Do you have a NoTP in your fandom? Are they a popular OTP? *looks at the camera like I’m on The Office* (for those of you reading this who seriously DON’T know, just continue to the next answer)

Has fandom ever ruined a pairing for you? (this one was sent in by ALL but one person, I would like to point out. So either you truly don’t know or you’re just here for the wank.*g*) Okay you might want to sit down and grab a bite cause this might take a while. You see (and that’s the part that usually surprises people) I actually started out as a pretty hardcore MaIec shipper in this fandom. Yep, me. Shocking, I know. I sort of migrated from the Teen Wolf fandom and everyone I followed back then was gushing about MaIec, I saw the first gifs on Tumblr (the show was already more than halfway through S1 when I started watching) and I thought hey, they’re cute, and actually canon, whee! So I pretty much fast-forward binged to 1x12 - through a pair of heavily MaIec-tinted glasses. My ideal version of the show back then, I’m ashamed to admit, probably would have been 90% MaIec, 9% Izzy and a little bit of Lydia on top (which was pretty much what a large majority of my dash was on about), I was totally ready to ditch everyone else for a short while. But thankfully, it wasn’t long before my brain remembered that I was capable of independent thinking, and I did a re-watch, and noticed that not everything was as picture perfect as it was made out to be, and I also actually noticed (and started falling for) the OTHER characters and possible pairings, most prominently Jace and JaIec (and honestly it will never cease to baffle me how anyone with a functioning pair of eyes will be able to look at S1 and NOT see that potential. Well, except for the MaIec-tinted glasses, probably). For a very short while, still blissfully oblivious to the nastier parts of this fandom, I happily multi-shipped (which was a first for me, I really am a ONE OTP kind of girl) both JaIec and MaIec pretty much equally, MaIec as far as canon was concerned (despite its many flaws - which where blatantly obvious once I cared to LOOK - but chose to ignore for the sake of happy shipping) and JaIec as a “God look at all that potential, in a different reality where xy had gone differently they totally would have been endgame” sort of way. And then that E!Online Shipping poll happened (the 2016 one where MaIec lost to CIexa) and that’s when got a first inkling of the truly ugly, rabid side of this fandom (back then I shipped both MaIec and CIexa so that’s probably what gave me a bit of a neutral observer’s perspective on these poll shenanigans, cause personally I didn’t care which of the two ships won since I loved them both). Around that time I had also started talking to a couple of JaIec shippers - who were lovely (looking at you fam) and refreshingly NORMAL compared to what I’d started to see in that other corner. Anyhow, from then on I was slowly distancing myself from the MaIec fandom as a whole. I still liked the ship in the sense that I enjoyed watching it in canon, even though, in terms of actual OTP, I quickly gravitated more and more towards JaIec (as I said I am a ONE OTP kind of girl so it was bound to happen). Long story short, during the long hiatus between s1 and 2a, (MaIec) fandom got exponentially nastier until, at some point – I’m still not sure when exactly - it just TIPPED (cause it definitely wasn’t like that back when S1 was airing, not to that extent) – and it suddenly started being “okay” to just outright attack and hate on everyone who dared ship either one of the pairing with someone else. With a level of vitriol and nastiness I have seldom seen (and I’ve actively been in fandoms since BtVS first aired, which was in the late ‘90s). Coupled with such a level of impertinent entitlement where everything has to be about or relate to MaIec, else there’s outrage across the entire fandom. And that, my friends, eventually managed to put me off the pairing for good. To the point where, if I’m entirely, brutally honest, I’d actually prefer to not see any Alec scenes at all to having to watch MaIec scenes, because this godawful fandom will find a way to ruin it one way or the other. If only by constantly whining about how it still wasn’t enough or “how dare that other character breathe while my OTP was about to suck face this is an OUTRAGE!!!”

Has fandom ever made you enjoy a pairing you previously hated? I can’t think of one, no. I might end up hating something I started out liking (see above), but I don’t think it ever happened the other way around. What sometimes does happen is that maybe there's something I don't actually care about all that much and then fandom will start hating on it and in the end I'll like the thing out of pure spite. But if I actually hate something, that'll stay that way.

Is there anything you used to like but can’t stand now? See #5.

Have you received anon hate? What about? Nope, because I don’t have anon on.

Most disliked character(s)? Why? I don’t actually actively dislike any of the current main characters. I did Simon in S1 but I’ve learned to tolerate his existence (that’s as far as I’m willing to go here). If we expand this a bit to “characters I’m least interested in” I’d have to go with Luke and Simon. I’m just not interested in either of their personal arcs unless they are somehow relevant to my faves’. Also I’m not to keen on Maia or any of the other new characters they’re adding (unless they’re somehow relevant to my faves) for the sole reason that they will take up screen time I’d rather spend on characters I’m actually interested in. I did dislike Jocelyn, but, yeah.

Most disliked arc? Why? My knee-jerk reaction would be to say MaIec (bitter? Me? Naah!) but that’s only part of the truth. Actually it’s more “all the romantic arcs for the sake of romance while not contributing anything else to the greater plot or to individual character development”. Cause MaIec as a general development was an important part of Alec’s character arc in S1, and that whole “the girl who you’re falling in love with is actually your sister” an important factor for Jace’s, so I can appreciate them for that. But beyond that, I’m just not interested in any of the romance plots. At best, they bore me to tears (I’m not actually joking when I say that I signed up for a show where pretty people wearing leather jackets and fingerless leather gloves kill demons and are awesome together, not “the warIock and his shadowhunter and their epic romance”. I’m more of a “The Walking Dead” / “Supernatural” girl than “Friends” or “Gilmore Girls”, you know?). At worst, they make characters I actually like do increasingly stupid things to the point where I’m left wondering if they’re actually the same character I originally fell for.

Is there an unpopular character you like that the fandom doesn’t? Why? VaIentine & Sebastian. I usually tend to like villains, and while VaIentine really often leans towards “ridiculous comic book villain”, I just love AIan Van Sprang and what he does with the little that the show gives him. And Sebastian (judging from what we know from the books) is just so deliciously fucked-up badwrongevilPROBLEMATIC™ that he’s inspired the keepers of this fandom’s moral purity to write up entire manifests why Thou Shalt Not Like Him Under Any Circumstances Cause He’s Bad Wrong And Evil™ back before it was even certain that he would be in 2B in the first place. So obviously I’m going to stan the shit out of him. Also, WiIl Tudor’s cute and British and I’m really looking forward to him and Dom having scenes together. :-)

Is there an unpopular arc that you like that the fandom doesn’t? Why? As for what has already happened, I didn’t actually mind Izzy’s Yin Fen plot. I wouldn’t say it was my favourite, but I certainly didn’t hate it as much as the rest of the fandom. I don’t have a particularly sophisticated reason for it though. As for what’s most likely / possibly to come, I hope the show will follow the book plot for Sebastian as closely as possible. (I don’t want to say too much for people who don’t know anything about it and don’t want to be spoiled.) Why? Because I like darkbadwrongnasty shit. Give me “darkbadrwongnasty shit where awful things and horrible people happen to good people” over romance any time. (Also, it would most likely piss large parts of this fandom off, that would be an added bonus.)

Unpopular opinion about XXX character? He’s not as flawless as you all like to believe. That’s okay though, flaws are what make characters interesting.

Unpopular opinion about your fandom? It’s the worst fandom ever? IDK is than an unpopular opinion? Probably, since around 80% ARE the worst people, and they would disagree with me so...

Unpopular opinion about the show? The writing really is rather subpar compared to some of the other shows I watch.

If you could change anything in the show, what would you change? Age it up (have the characters be some of the actor’s actual ages, i.e. around their late twenties), move it to a network like HBO or Starz, and make it push the limits of an R-Rating. Also, put the main focus on the Sh@dowhunters, Sh@dowhunters politics, just all things Sh@dowhunters. Centered around the Lightwoods (including Jace). (And did you notice how none of what I would change would actually include “make JaIec canon”? Cause contrary to what large parts of this fandom seem to think, this is not all I / we think about. Wow what a shocker.)

Instead of XYZ happening, I would have made ABC happen… Well take a look at my shipping and plot preferences and then you can probably guess my answer.

Does not shipping something ‘popular’ mean you’re in denial and/or biased? I don’t know, does it? If you ask the majority of this fandom, it really means I’m all sorts of –ist and just generally a horrible person. Or something. Do I get bonus points when I act like I care?

What is the one thing you hate most about your fandom? Pretending to do everything for a higher, nobler purpose (shipping for representation and the likes), refusing to accept that not everyone else will or has to adhere to your own standards of what’s right or wrong or PROBLEMATIC(TM), and taking everything that happens on the show too damn seriously. Refusing to grasp that this is primarily a fantasy tv show with a main purpose to entertain its audience, and to earn the network money, not to make the world a better place.

What is the purest ship in the fandom? CIizzy and CIimon, probably. But honestly, nothing in this fandom is even remotely pure.

What are your thoughts on crack ships? Whatever makes you happy, I don’t judge.

Popular character you hate? Nope.

Would you recommend XXX to a friend? Why or why not? As a piece of trashy popcorn entertainment to pass the time, yes. To someone who actually asks for a rec for quality television, no. Cause it just isn’t quality television. (And yes I know it’s a fantasy show geared towards teenagers, but so was BtVS, and that one still managed consistent writing and character development, over 7 seasons. But anyways.)

How would you end XXX/Would you change the ending of XXX? With the Lightwoods / Alec running the NY institute. The very last scene would end like the very first one began: Jace, Alec and Izzy together, just the three of them.

Most shippable character? For me personally? Jace. Generally (though I personally don’t actively ship them with anyone except low-key with each other), I think Izzy and Clary are pretty shippable as well. Simon too.

Least shippable character? Luke? But just because he doesn’t really interest me so I personally wouldn’t know who to ship him with. Except VaIentine (past times, and probably present time also), but I’m sure that’s all sorts of badwrongproblematic. Ah well.

Day 7 – April 7th – Free Day*

I going to use my free day to talk about 10 episodes that stood out to me!

Just watching the recent episode about Litten and Scoutland. Omg the feels ;_;

I didn’t think I would sob... I going list my faves and the top 3 will get pic/gif treatment.

# 10 Pika and Goliath

Okay, I didn’t think I would love the episode so much when it first came out! I remember when I was younger, I always dreamed that Pikachu vs Raichu battle would be more engaging and more action like. Pikachu once again get rivaled against Raichu and his cocky trainer named Sho. Although Sho’s dub voice is so funny sounding with all the so called “gangster talk” I busted out laughing how bad it was. Pikachu once again reintroduced to the thunderstone.

Though this episode does get real of how Pikachu nearly faced it’s death after being beamed by a hyper beam in the face from Raichu, and shortly rushed to the hospital. After the near death experience, and Ash telling the story of how he was given thunderstone from Nurse Joy in Vermilion City due to similar situation. Pikachu once again rejects the stone and wants to fight! Which we get this incredible battle between the two on the rematch.

Of course Pikachu pulls up in top, and I love the bonding moment Pikachu had with Ash <3

#9 Holy Matrimony

Going back in season 1, I don’t know why, but this episode always stood out to me. This episode we find out that James is a freakin millionaire. But his reasoning for running away is legit as well. This episode had so many awkward moments, and Jame’s parents has a weird definition of being proper and in the rich class. Clearly, they don’t see Jessebelle aka Jame’s finance is a total nutcase.

For god sake, she had a whip trying to slap Jame’s around. To me, I was laughing so hard, and the bit where she looks like Jessie. Like come on, they did it so intentionally. It was such a fun episode, and it’s too bad they don’t remind people as much of Jame’s past. I want to say the last time his past was mentioned was probably the DP era.

#8 Stage Fight

So this episode was shown during the Orange Island era and sadly it doesn’t get shown anymore thanks to Jynx appearance. This was the first time seeing Raichu in a different perspective. It’s being timid and vulnerable was so adorable, also highlighting Kay. The episode takes place in a showboat where the actors voice act through the pokemon and make them seem like they are talking.

This case, I found it interesting that Kay is actually afraid of Raichu, more so being shocked. In their first meeting, she throws Raichu away for avoid being shocked. The poor Raichu gets distraught since it was thrown and rejected from it’s own trainer.

Happy to say there was a happy ending. When Team Rocket got involved, she would confront her fear which helped Raichu, and they were able finally work together. And we do get an adorable scene at the end.

#7 Cave of Mirrors

So this episode to me was one the most interesting concept they had in a while and I was bummed they didn’t revisit it at the end of XY series. I love seeing all of the characters had a personality swap through the mirror world. I got a kick how Team Rocket is the good guys and referred as Heroes of Justice. Clemont using magic and instincts, Serena is all battle crazy talking in a different dialect, and Bonnie was more proper. Mirror Ash was timid and a crybaby.

I loved how Ash was able to go to the other side and had to rescue Pikachu, and the thief was his mirror self. It was a fun adventure. I did want more Mirror Pikachu, he was a mischievous and mean lol.

#6 A Scare To Remember

So this is the only AG episode to be on the list. This episode was pretty dark. Ash and his friends had their usual confrontation with Team Rocket and from the blast, Pikachu lost his memory. And for Meowth’s advantage, it was to convince Pikachu that he was part of Team Rocket.

Once Pikachu was reunited with Ash, he doesn’t recognize him and it shocks Ash, which put Ash in distress. As Team Rocket getting away, Ash goes after the balloon and tries to rescue Pikachu. Which then Pikachu blows up the balloon and Ash saves Pikachu falling from the sky to the water.

I loved Ash being selflessness here and how he go in lengths for Pikachu. I don’t think they revisited much since AG. But everytime I watch, I do get the feels...

#5 Lights! Camera! Pika!

This episode was Pika-tastic lol. I fell in love with the 5 different Pikachu costumes and more exciting they were filming a movie. This episode was so endearing since it showcased a director with his eternal love for Pikachu. Hearing his story, they helped him out with the movie! The whole filming and behind the scenes were so cool to see. And the bloopers sold me. They gave Pikachu a voice from his VA actress, Ash’s VA in english dub.

#4 Seeing the Forest for the Trees!

The next 3 episodes were difficult for me, so they are super close to each other. But this episode with Ash just being emo and depressed was crazy. I put my full thoughts a while back. This was the episode where Ash get yelled by Serena and he find himself and finally figured out the bond phenomenon.

I was sold mainly on Ash’s childhood memories bonding with the other pokemon. Ash mainly did had a battle with himself, and this episode reminded Ash they is never truly alone. This is where he finally figure’s out Greninja’s powers and finally able to fully transform. There were a lot of firsts, also I was happy for Serena’s not putting up Ash’s bullshit! Snowball scene for the win!

# 3 Ash vs Paul final battle arc (Familiarity Breeds Strategy! A Real Rival Rouser! Battling a Thaw in Relations)

I put this as one since to me, 1 episode wasn’t enough. The whole build up for DP was Ash finally proving he can take on Paul. They both give their all, Ash had the same team from the 1st time full battle and Paul changed his team. The entire battle was just amazing! No rival has topped Paul, and this battle proves it. And the last battle, Infernape vs Electivire, it was a heart stopper

Also this marked of the departure...

# 2 Battling at Full Volume

Another episode I actually put full in detail before, omg, I didn’t think I would enjoy this episode so much. We got this guitarist trainer Jimmy with his adorable rocking Pikachu ends up battling Ash which was Serena in disguise.

It was nearly a perfect episode for me. Writers tease us with Ash saying to Serena “I love you” instead we get Iron Tail Pikachu. Ash gets sicks, and Serena cosplaying Ash and pulls it off.

And we gets ton of fan-service from Serena and teases from Bonnie. Omg, I didn’t think I would of love this episode so much. It literally had everything.

Serena pulls off a great Ash, you won me over!!

Before my #1 pick, a have a couple honorable mentions..

Team Flare Arc: One the best villainous arcs we ever had.

Chimcharred: Ash and Paul fighting over Chimchar’s well being. Damn you Ash, why couldn’t you punched Paul

High Gym Battle: This episode was on my favorite in Hoenn saga. Ash vs Winona

ANd my number 1 episode is..... (drumrolls)

#1 Electric Shock Showdown

So this episode is so special to me for so many reasons. This episode was the one that put me over the top to get in the pokemon fandom. At the time, battles were still young, at the time it was revolutionary.

Basically Ash getting his battle for his thunderbadge and has to beat Surge who were putting Pokemon in the hospital. After confronting him and learning he was using Raichu, Pikachu gets in the action.

This episode marks many first. First appearance of Raichu, first time Pikachu learns Agility, first time Team Rocket disguise themselves, also Pikachu get Pika Justice. At the end, Ash and PIkachu’s bond gets a lot stronger. And Team Rocket breaks the 4th Wall. The bit never gets old xD

The gym leader, Lt. Surge, was super memorable. He was a freaking giant and ripped. My friend would always say, he doesn’t need Raichu, he could go in the battlefield himself. He had a lot of pride and didn’t give Ash and Pikachu an easy time especially after the team discovered his weakness. Shoot, Japanese version is entertaining with his Engrish. English dub is amazing as well, RIP Maddie Blaustein.

Even though I seen it a thousand of times, this will be always my favorite episode.

This image for me never gets old, like Surge is a freaking giant! Well anyways, thank for reading :D

"Any Armies here?" Armies taking over the world.

Aka don't annoy non kpop fans with kpop...

You know what seriously pisses me off? That no matter what video you watch on YouTube, sooner or later you'll stumble upon kpop fans spamming the comments with kpop even tho the video doesn't have anything to do with kpop. Example: I just watched a random video of a German YouTuber, and the comments are full of Armies talking about bbmas and the comeback.

Guys, I get that you love Kpop/BTS but srly...what does Kpop have to do with all the videos you're commenting on? Nothing. I don't want to attack anyone here, and I don't say that it's only Army fandom, but I personally only see Armies, everywhere, at anytime, and therefore will talk about them in the following. Ofc not all Armies are like that, obviously it's only a part of the fandom acting like that. Just as in all others Fandoms.

"Any Armies here?"

Why would anyone be interested in that when you watch a let's play video or something? Why would you annoy anyone with things they don't have any clue about? Don't you see that people start to hate on groups because of their annoying fandoms??? If the video is related to kpop, then sure. Feel free to talk about your faves. But also here, why commenting under XY's MV (which has nothing to do with BTS) "Any Armies here?"? That simply doesn't make any sense to me. Maybe I just don't understand it, feel free to explain the sense of this to me.

And more importantly, why do you start wars all the time??? Just now I saw a huge discussion about if "BTS is Kpop" or "Kpop is BTS" in the comments section of a not-kpop related video. This is getting out of hand.

Listen, I'm not hating on BTS. I truly like them. They were the first group I stanned back then. But I'm tired of big parts of the fandom. It feels like many of them don't accept that other people like other groups. That other people might not even like Kpop. Also many don't accept that Kpop is not BTS. There are so many more hardworking groups in Kpop, BTS is only one of them.

It's simply super disrespectful saying that BTS is the most important Kpop group or sth, because dudes... 1. Everyone has different preferences. 2. Don't you dare forgetting about the older generation groups, without them the "new" groups wouldn't even exist.

I don't know why you have this urge to spam people with your faves. But I'm so tired of it. It's really sad to say but somehow the fandom made me distance myself from BTS and Armies. I still like the group and their music, because it's not their fault that the fandom is escalating so much. I just could never call myself an Army. There happened too much shitty stuff with which I don't want to be involved with.

But remember, this isn't only about Armies, this is about everyone who forces Kpop on non-kpop fans. I mean, non Kpop Fans also don't spam the comments with "Any Fall Out Boy Fans here" or sth? Imagine everyone talking about their favourite bands/shows/whatever in any comment sections: "Any Teen Wolf fans here?", "Any Game of Thrones fans here?", "Any Assassin's Creed fans here?". No one does this. You're not that special that you have to shove your "extraordinary" taste in music / overflowing love for a band in everyone's face.

@mutantmasterofmagnetism - I cracked open a new X-Men novel (“Siege”, book one of the “Mutant Empire” trilogy) because it has the Acolytes in it (the second gen ones, not the ones I play, but still) and literally within the first few pages I'm reminded of HOW MUCH COMICS MAGNETO DOESN'T/WOULDN’T LIKE ANNE MARIE because he's frustrated with how Exodus won't question him even though he can TELL Exodus doesn't like his plan, because he doesn't want BLIND obedience from his followers (which makes sense for his past but...is also kinda funny given how he acts sometimes to the followers that DO question him, but, well, Magneto is canonically nuts too) and he thinks of Exodus like “a black and purple butterfly” because of how his robes flow around him, but then ruins the potential gay there by smiling at him in a way likened to “a proud and indulgent father” and oh my god Exodus listen to you: “Yes, lord. I realize how foolish I was. Your courage is equaled only by your vast love and compassion for your fellow mutants. I am ashamed to have questioned you. What may I do to atone for my doubts?” ^^^^ THIS IS THE PART THAT MAKES MAGS SMILE, BTW. BUT HE DOESN'T WANT BLIND OBEDIANCE! REALLY! I love Exodus so much, you can see the Anne Marie inspo pretty plainly. We also learn that Magneto finds Amelia Voght's red hair “alluring” and that he likes her because while she believes in his vision, she speaks to him with familiarity and not worship like the others. And we learn while he dislikes the term 'flatscan' he allows the Acolytes to use it since humans have made 'mutant' a dirty word. Also I don't know if you remember Milan but he's one of my low-key faves, he's the team technopath and is usually treated as 'useless' by his teammates but Magneto sees him as invaluable for this mission and when he brings him to this computer they need to access Milan addresses it as “My friend” and politely asks it to let them inside this place they're breaking into, and then there's a pause and Milan cocks his head “as if listening to a ghostly voice none of the others could hear” and says to the computer, “Certainly. I would be pleased to speak with you again when our business here is concluded. I know how lonely it must get.” AW I LOVE HIM EVEN MORE NOW And I'm tagging Jon @captaindicks for this part because I think he’ll like it, this is the very beginning, what the book opens with: “Erik Lehnsherr was a mutant. He was not an uncommonly large man, standing just over six feet tall and weighing just under two hundred pounds, but there was a quiet fury about him that gave even the bravest soul pause. His eyes were the blue-grey of an impending storm, his long hair an extraordinarily perfect white. Defined by his command, of himself and others around him, he was not given to frivolous commentary or physical expression.” THE BLUE GREY OF AN IMPENDING STORM AN EXTRAORIDNARILY PERFECT WHITE IT'S LIKE FANFIC PROSE I LOVE IT Also how is over six feet and almost 200lbs not large?? What is large then??* looks at Fabian and Delgado* Oh, right, this is set in the 90s, everyone introduced in this era with an XY chromosome is GIGANTIC And...not given to frivolous commentary of physical expression, huh? So all those grandiose speeches and TWISTED FACES OF RAGE don't count, I take it? So this is literally just the prologue, I'm not even at Chapter One, permission to tag you guys if I find other neat Magneto/mutant things you might like?

BUT MY MASTER... HE... HE..." then the explosion kinda dies out and he continues "neither did he want it, but he didn't understand it..."
