Ukraine, a country in Eastern Europe that most people did not give a shit about before February of 2022: *gets invaded by Russia*
American teenagers on social media who have never stepped foot outside of their state: "Oh shit, I am gonna die in WWIII, I am so scared, this is awful"
Poland after getting accidentally hit with Russian missiles and having two citizens die from it: *calls to invoke article 4 (NOT 5!!!)*
American teenagers, again: "Is this the start of WWIII?! I don't want to be drafted into war, I am gonna die, we are all gonna die!"
Like.
For fucks sake.
I know, I know, a truly radical idea, but maybe, JUST maybe, look critically at this situation and realize that this is not about you! You are not in any danger, sitting in your home in Bumsfuckville, state of New Noonegivesashitaboutit, on the other side of the fucking planet.
Po prostu, zamknijcie mordy.
EDIT: This post got a bit of attention, so I wanna remind people that yeah, complaining about Americans and making fun of them is fine and pretty much the sole purpose of this post, but inciting violence against them is NOT fine. *Yes, I am looking at some people in the tags.*

Avdiivka, Ukraine
Avdiivka after the Russian occupation.
The city was completely destroyed by the Russian army.
Putin calls this “help for the people of Donbass.” In fact, this is genocide of the people of Donbass.

This night russia hit Dnipro hydroelectric power station. And it's only one of the civil infrastructures that was injured with this massive attack. Our Air forces managed to destroy 35 cruise missiles from 40 | 55 drones Shahed from 63 | 0 ballistic missiles from 2 | 0 missels X-22 from 5 | 0 Dagger missiles from 7 | 0 anti-aircraft missile from 22. I'm saying the bare fact. All this death and destruction meant to the civil people, civil infrastructure. It meant to kill us because we're Ukrainians. russia doesn't want Ukraine to exist. It doesn't need it's territory. It needs Ukrainians to stop their existing. They won't get it. I may not survive to the end of this war, but I know russia won't survive this war either.
P.S. russians wanted to destroy water Dnipro dam like they did it with Nova Kakhovka dam. But believe it or not at this time simple bus stood between the dam and the missile and softened the damage. People in the bus died instantly, but saved many... many lives. For now. I know russians will try again. Because I don't have illusions. You should stop having them either.
P.S.S. My goal is not to scare you or force you to pity me. Don't pity me. I made my choice. My goal is to get justice for my people. Justice for Ukraine.

Ukraine obviously has the ability to use drones inside Russia. And yet no Russian schools, playgrounds, hospitals, or theaters have been targeted.
These two strategies are not the same.

i think the other frustrating thing is like. people online forget that politics and war is complicated. it sucks, it's tedious. civilians are being hurt and killed as a result of fascism and greed. this isnt a saturday morning cartoon. you can't always be spoon-fed tl;drs on who's the good guy and who's the villain. this shit is fluid, and often just looks like this:

Every time I see people unironically believing Muscovite bullshit about 'we're anti-fascist'
This regime was and still is trying to rehabilitate the Unholy Alliance of 1939-41 and to justify the actions of the USSR in those cases. It was doing this for three years before it expanded the Ukraine War to what it is now. This is your 'hero', you tankie pieces of shit.

Ukrainian Hero
The Ukrainian combat medic Sergeant Daria Filipieva has been killed in battle against the Russian Army. She was assigned the call sign "Lightning" because she could come to the aid of soldiers as quickly as a bullet or a fragment of a projectile. Daria, a bright and creative individual, could not stand by and watch others defend their native land. She saved dozens of lives on the battlefield, like an angel. Her light will continue to shine from the sky forever.
Rest in Peace Daria, Ukraine will never forget your sacrifice!

I cannot believe I am watching the western world mourn a racist nationalist who was only throwing tantrums because it wasn't him in control of the empire.

United Help Ukraine has an easy way to contact Congress to support the Ukraine aid bill:
How to Contact Your Representative Click www.house.gov to search for your Representative by zip code (in the upper right-hand corner); and, Copy and paste the sample letter below into the contact form and press send.  A Very Important Message:  Your communication with your Representatives will denote the urgency of additional security assistance to Ukraine.   Sample Correspondence Dear Representative (name): I am aware of the House Appropriations Committee's initiative for critical supplemental funding for Ukraine.  As your constituent, I urge you to support Ukraine.  The supplemental initiative is not only about Ukraine defending its own country, sovereignty, and territorial integrity, it is also an investment in the international law-based security dynamic.   Assisting Ukraine and curbing Russian aggression now will prevent prolonged American involvement in a future worldwide conflict.  I look forward to your affirmative vote for the Ukraine supplemental bill.   Thank you!
