How would you get Dick out of whatever hole he is in right now? Like it wouldn’t even know how to fix it because everything just feels so bland. I don’t like his current romance and I just feel like right now what even is the point of Nightwing… why should I even like him?

Oh hohoho I'd have to cut off some dead weight.

Dick and the batfam's interactions would decrease significantly. They (specific members) can show up in Bludhaven every now and then but Dick needs to stay out of Gotham. He needs his independence. If there's an issue in Gotham, the Gotham-based batfam members can handle it. The Nightwing run shouldn't derail for any big Gotham events.

Romance and hookups need to take a backseat. Casual dates are fine, but a long-term romance isn't in the cards while we're building Dick back up. Yup, sorry, I'm divorcing dickbabs. Don't care. It'll be good for both of them.

Side characters have got to stop disrespecting Dick. Yeah, hi, I'm looking at all those side characters who were bitching about wanting Batman to help them instead of Nightwing. Also, looking at the Bat Pack from TTA who constantly shat on Dick and kept saying how Batman was better.

Dick has gotta stop being treated like he's Robin in terms of skill. He's at Batman's level/has even surpassed Batman. He was Batman! Don't know why writers have reverted to making him seem less experienced but they better stop.

New writers have got to stop ditching Dick's existing supporting cast. You brought Clancy back? Cool. Keep using her. You forgot about Detective Svoboda? Bring her back. You forgot that the Nightwings are retired from vigilante life but are still active police officers and firefighters? Use them to give Nightwing more allies in law enforcement/fire protection. (And bring Guppy back!!)

Writers have got to stop comparing Dick to the other Robins and acting like he can't be good at so-and-so because X Robin is supposed to be the best at that. Forget about the other Robins. Dick's a good fighter. He's a good detective. He's good at XYZ. Focus on that. Focus on him.

Writers need to remember that Dick can be intense at times. He's not Mr. Happy-Go-Lucky. His shoulders are burdened by responsibility and past failure, and it should be visible to anyone who looks at him (see Titans!Dick for accurate visual representation). And I'm not saying he has to be broody or a dark cloud all the time, I'm just saying that he's not as nonchalant as currently depicted.

It's too late for this now but I'd erase Dick's status as a billionaire to keep him out of the public eye and to keep him from feeling like a copy and paste of Bruce.

He needs more villains that are established in Bludhaven. Blockbuster? Okay, fine. Raptor? I guess. The Judge? They should do something else with him but they probably won't. But the Court of Owls, Joker, Two-Face, KGBeast, Deathstroke, etc. are only pop-ins. The other villains that Dixon established are, let's be honest, kind of lame. Wyrm was a bust. Heartless still hasn't been taken as a serious threat yet. I wish they would've let Professor Pyg stay as a Nightwing villain but alas.

Bring 👏🏻 back 👏🏻 longer 👏🏻 introspective 👏🏻 inner 👏🏻 monologues 👏🏻

- dick knowing how to goad people with a straight face then smirking after. nice.

- shawn and dick were good together her breaking up with him for idek what reason and immediately hanging out with pigeon to do illegal shit is so disappointing esp since she yelled at dick for not having his life together

Little Guppy

It was bad enough she was forced into a puffy jacket that made her look like a marshmallow but she had to trudge through Waterfall with it on too? She huffed as she gripped her father’s gloved hand and waddled along. 

“Did I really need all of this? I feel like a Marshmallow Papa.” She replied as she did her best to keep in stride with her father. 

“Mmn Yes. Because at least you’re a warm Marshmallow, Don’t worry I keep you from all the boy Marshmallows that might get some ideas.” He snickered when he felt her grip tighten around him. 

“PAPA! No dumb boy Marshmallows are gonna come after me. I’ll kick their butts first!” She stated proudly and giggled when she was picked up. “How come you don’t gotta wear all this stuff?” 

“Because Papa is better with this weather than you are, little pearl.” He replied with a grin, nuzzling her cheek. “Besides I’ll set you free when we get inside.” 

Once those words were uttered she grinned largely. “Surprise Attack?” She asked with a wriggle. 

“I did call in advance but if ya get the jump on ‘em more power to ya.” He replied with a shrug as he reached the doorstep and set her down, opening the door and once the puffy jacket and other annoying tools of warmth were removed the little guppy was on the prowl. 

“Allllright now where did you go you dweeb~?” She muttered as she brought her arms close to her chest, one would think she was imitating a raptor as she searched the house. 

After what should have been much faster considering he was with his brother she’d found him and halted herself from tackling the Skeleton with the baby. “Found you!” She chimed.

Have you read Nightwing 35 yet? Do you like Humpries voice for Nightwing so far?

I’m sorry it took so long to answer you! I didn’t want to answer this until I read it for some reason lmao! first off I’m glad Seeley resolved the Raptor storyline before he left.

second about Humpries I feel like I can’t say yet. All I can say about the issue is Guppy has adorably drawn eyes… everything else storyline-wise I think I’ll hold off on jumping to an opinion. If you ask me about the villain, Dick’s new job, the writing of Dick’s voice I really don’t know yet. until we’re at least a few more issues in… I might even wait until the arc is done to form an opinion.

(Probably) Not picking up Nightwing

Sorry! It’s just not going to happen anytime soon. I already dropped the book because I got tired of Dick being written with 99 problems and gets a few good moments. A ideal Nightwing book is NOT him getting hit by Helena or constantly being tricked by that villain of the week. I want a Dick Grayson that is second to Batman in investigation and fighting skill.

I understand that what Seeley is doing is in the ballpark for what Nightwing fans felt during the Dixon run but I don’t even like the plot of that run and really just loved the characterization of Dick. But Sam Humpries, the new writer for Nightwing soon, is already showing signs of writing a mediocre Nightwing. His interview concerning it worries me.

For starters, he seem excited about his Judge villain. Just like Raptor, I immediately have issues when a writer comes to write Nightwing and is talking about the villain. Like uh no, this is a NIGHTWING book. I don’t care about how good you think your villain is. I’ve been a fan LONG ENOUGH to know OC villains are NOT cool when you talk about them and shill them up. The last time this happen, it was Mother. Batman and Robin Eternal was a disappointment and part of it was because the villain was yet another one who knew EVERYTHING ABOUT THE BATFAM! Raptor’s saving grace was connecting him to his mom. Because finally, a aspect of Dick ALWAYS ignored 99.99% of the time is focused. Having yet another villain Dick just couldn’t capture but stalked him makes him look incapable. Again. It’s really annoying that Nightwing only fights these kind of OC villains but can’t fight Deathstroke. I’m still waiting for the one day he crosses over.

Another thing that has me on edge is the book being more “STREET LEVEL” and “PERSONAL”. Like that’s what Nightwing is usually is and it’s....boring. Can we slide in some sci-fi? Horror? Supernatural? Spy? A new, genre element that can make this run a little different? And concerning supporting cast....Guppy and Baby Ruth? Why not fucking Amy Roarchach? Helena Bertinelli?! Harper Row? Rose Wilson? Joey Wilson? (okay, idfc If they’re Deathstroke supporting cast). Promote Damian and Kori to a regular. Donna Troy. Kyle Rayner pop in? Deadman?

It be cool...but noooo....its a street level book so that limits what happens in it or who gets to show up. I’m just saying; I’m tired of every Nightwing thing since New 52 with the exception of Grayson being outright meh. Nothing pushing boundaries. The formula not being actually changed.

Congratulations to Kawhi Leonard and the Toronto Raptors for achieving what others before them couldn’t accomplish over their 24 years of existence. When Toronto Raptors Gm Masai Ujiri traded perennial all-star in Demar Derozan for Spurs guard in Kawhi Leonard this is what he envisioned. Ujiri, acquiring Marc Gasol and Danny Green proved pivotal in this championship run for the Raptors.  

The Guppy Series 

In 2016  NBA legend Charles Barkley made a bold statement about the Toronto Raptors in a playoff series of the eastern conference. Barkley so vehemently described the the Toronto Raptors of that time as “Guppies”. The Chuckster explained that no matter if they won their playoff series or not they would be swept in the next round. Fast forward three years later these Raptors have now become the “Great White Sharks”. 

Giving credit where credit is due and the injury blues

Hats off to the Warriors’  Klay Thompson for showing the world the difference between regular Klay and game 6 Klay. Thompson’s 30 points on 8-12 shooting and 10-10 from the line were greatly needed in this finals game. An argument can be made that if he was never injured they wouldn’t have lost this game. 

This Warriors team was obliterated by injuries and should be applauded for showing up and playing with heart. Even the Warriors that were on the court were all dealing with injuries. All of which were exceeding expectations in the playoffs and the finals despite being injured and the list is as follows 

Demarcus Cousins-Quad Strain

Andre Iguodala-Leg Injury

Kevon Looney-Broken Shoulder 

Klay Thompson-Unknown knee strain and than re-injured leg

Kevin Durant-  Phantom Knee injury to ruptured Achilles tendon

The loss of Kevin Durant was a huge blow to the Warrior’s system which caused the offense to be out of sync. So the argument can be made that the Toronto Raptors took advantage of a broken Warriors team. With all these injuries no wonder the Raptors were able to make light work of this team that might have played at 45% health?

Certain talking heads whether on ESPN or Undisputed criticized Kawhi Leonard for not listening to the crowd and waiting until he was fully healthy to play for the San Antonio Spurs. Now a Toronto Raptor and an NBA champion Kawhi Leonard is having the last laugh as the player that was called #2 all season by Skip Bayless is now #1. 

This is going to be an entertaining free agency because with this championship it is assumed Kawhi Leonard is off the market. Leonard might get a statue erected in his honor, a street named after him, a free verse from drake. Leonard is going to receive so much adoration and praise over the next five months that a contract will be the last thing on his mind in the six.

All of my pets!

I wanted to make a list of all my pets for anyone who may be interested and just for the simple fact of having it all typed out somewhere:

Reptiles -

Cricket the male crested gecko (my first reptile!). I'm unsure of his morph. I obtained him in December of 2016 from a local pet shop. I'm unsure of his exact age, but he was VERY small when I got him.

Banjo the female crested gecko. I'm unsure of her morph as well. I obtained her from a Repticon (AHP Exotics was the breeder) in February of 2017. Her hatch date was September 22nd of 2016.

Rikky the female crested gecko. I'm also unsure of her morph. I got her at the same time and from the same breeders as Banjo, except Rikky's hatch date was October 11th of 2016.

Juniper the female leopard gecko. She's a high contrast tangerine tremper albino het for raptor. I obtained her in August of 2017. I ordered her offline from a breeder called Gold Geckos (she's a very nice breeder and was very helpful through the whole process, as I'd never owned a leopard gecko or ordered a live animal offline before). Juniper's hatch date was May 1st of 2017.

Foster the male ball python. He's a banana fire pastave. I obtained him in July of 2018. I ordered him off of Morph Market from a breeder called Sacred Exotics (he was another VERY nice breeder and was super helpful along the way. He would even message me to see how Foster was doing for quite a while after he arrived). Foster's hatch date was June 20th of 2018.

Dill the female gargoyle gecko. I'm unsure of her morph. I obtained her in August of 2018 from a Repticon. I forgot what breeder I got her from unfortunately. Dill's age is also unknown, but she was rather small when I got her.

Mousse the kenyan sand boa. I'm unsure of Mousse's sex, but refer to it as a male for now. He's a normal morph that I obtained in June of 2019 from a local pet shop. I'm unsure of his age, but do know that he had been at the shop for around 5-6 months before I purchased him (no customers ever realized there was an actual animal in the cage, and he had actually escaped for almost a month before they found him again).

Mavis the female ball python. She's a black pastel mojave. I haven't obtained her yet, but she should be arriving in October (I have her on hold at the moment due to me moving in the next few weeks). I also ordered her from Sacred Exotics off of Morph Market. Mavis hatched on September 4th of 2019.

Fish -

Boey, Python, and Forsyth the panda cories. I obtained them in April of 2018. They share a 10 gallon with a singular guppy named Saber.

Marlo the male mustard gas betta. I obtained him in October of 2018. He shares a divided 10 gallon with Murphy.

Murphy the male dumbo betta. I obtained him in October of 2018 as well. He shares a divided 10 gallon with Marlo.

Martin the male crowntail betta. I obtained him in November of 2018. He has a 5 gallon tank all to himself.

Dahlia the female delta tail betta. I obtained her in December of 2018. She shares a divided 10 gallon with Ophelia.

Ophelia the female marbled betta. I obtained her in December of 2018. She shares a divided 10 gallon with Dahlia.

Arachnids -

Roswell the Brachypelma Emilia (mexican red leg tarantula). I got him / her from a Repticon in August of 2018 (Creative Ectothermic Solutions was the breeder). Unsure of his / her exact age or sex. They were a somewhat small sling when I got them.

Lucas the Phidippus Otiosus (canopy jumping spider). I got him / her in September of 2018. I actually found him / her in my house during a really bad storm. I did not want my cats to eat it and also didn't want to put it outside during the storm. I opted to keep him / her overnight until the storm cleared, but fell in love with it and decided to keep it permanently. I am unsure of his / her age or sex, but it appeared to be full grown when I found it.

Birds -

Sunny the female cockatiel. She's a cinnamon pearl. I obtained her sometime in 2008 from a local pet shop. She's the oldest and longest pet I've had and she's an absolute best girl.

Cats -

Binx the male black cat. I adopted him from a local rescue in September of 2018. Unsure of his exact age, but he was estimated to be about 3 months old when I adopted him.

Dani the female patched tabby. I rescued her in October of 2018. She was found abandoned during a very bad rainstorm and was brought to the vet clinic I work at to see if we could take her in. I decided to bring her home and keep her myself. She was roughly 5-6 weeks old when I got her.

Dogs -

Athena the female chocolate pitbull. I obtained her in April of 2019. She was also brought into the vet clinic I work at, however came in with all of her siblings to recieve their puppy vaccines before finding new homes. I offered to pay for all of Athena's expenses that day and the owner gave her to me. Athena's birthday is February 20th of 2019.

Arlo the male beagle / hound mix. I obtained him in July of 2019. He wandered up to one of my coworkers house, and she was not interested in keeping him. I decided to bring him home for a weekend to see how he did with Athena and they fell in love with each other. Now they're best buds and never leave each other's side. He was estimated to be around 3 months old when I got him.

That's everyone! I love them all so much and am so glad that they're all apart of my family.

the one on top and the darkest one is hina jr. the only girlie and the meanest one (also the leader) but its ok she luvs her brothers n her dad.

other brown one is mona jr. way more docile than both guppy jr and hina jr but bigger thna guppy jr

guppy jr is Smallest but is also kinda mean (but not as mean as hina jr) . tries to lead but fails at it everytime
