so discord just began their # username wipe and replaces it with @ ,so before i get wiped(smol one) lemme tell ya a short one about my current discord username so back in 2020,the lil 13 years old goober(me) is in lockdown bc of covid,so im stuck home with my parents. my first social media was reddit and i named myself l1lyv3ss3l(named after my hk vessel oc/sona Lily) after countless cringy names i made up. meme subreddits were fun back then and i had so much fun browsing them

then a few weeks later i wanna find somewhere to talk to and make friends with, i noticed the existence of r/hollowknightmemes's discord server,and the lil goober wanna fit in a hollow knight server,so they named themself smol_lily (after the reddit username). but discord back then allows people with # username and spaces,so i saw this opportunity and renamed myself smol one(referring to my irl size,really short and small) back then there was no about me, and people keep calling me smol instead of my old internet name(nuh uh i wont show ya since it was inspired by my irl name) and that sticks with me to this day

I actually managed to draw something. I'm pretty proud of it! Artblock and all does suck so yeah... Anyways! Lore. Lore. We all want lore.

Satilia had two iterations. One without memories whatsoever. You could consider them an experiment almost, seeing how Cyalm was still working with making the narrative. Stratosfear was just a puppet, but Cyalm wanted a point with actual personality! So he tested with Satilia, and decided that this first iteration was completely bland. So, he reworked Satilia and gave them few memories. This did give them a personality, though made them the equivalent of an extremely nervous and shy teenager. Either way, it worked, and Cyalm cooked. Yaddah, yaddah, yaddah. The purple telescope with planet and star stickers is basically the only thing Satilia remembers of their past. They like it. As the story progresses, they form more confidence in themselves and begin to involve themselves with the 2SS more. They find five fragments of a star, referencing their previous treks to find stars before they were pointified. Those five shards resulted in the manifestation of a Star! Satilia's bad with names, so the Star is simply called Starry. That event almost helped them to shatter. It's unfortunate that it didn't happen.

Forgive my yapping! They're simply a Point of Natural Satilites, or to better say it, Anshine with more variety. Them and Anshine do both come from Maytown, so they're practically almost the same age, in terms of Points and all. So yeah! Lore. I like just going on a tangent about my own characters. Maybe I'll start mentioning some fun facts about them in a next post.

i got a lot of worldbuilding and basic plotting done in my head. motivations, archetypes, names, landscapes, architecture, races, culture, and images are swimming around in my head. most have been written down

tomorrow i am hoping to draw a map and start expanding on races and cultures in my notebook. writing draws ever closer. the cultures will probably change as i move on through the story, as i am sure the (college (subtle brag 😎 (shut up xxprogamerxx)) anthropology class i am taking will give me so many ideas i want to include.

george r.r. martin, stephen king, and andrzej sapkowski are providing a large amount of inspiration but it is not a crossover fan fiction where Jon Snow fucks Geralt and a mother, mother, daughter, son, and weird fucking uncle relationship forms between yennefer, sussanah, ciri, jake, and eddie (i listed them in their respective roles).

i plan for the map to be super detailed and i would like to start tonight but i am wiped out so instead i am going to watch the click in bed, sleep, and start on it in the morning

if i dont wake up early enough to do mapping before i start school i will work on basic plotting and maybe design a couple languages

some will be ancient and out of use, but somehow still relevant to important things (fucking latin) and others will be used regularly, though most humanoids will speak my version of common

i also have 12 religions to create

this will be a lot of fun, and considering how much of my time i spend thinking about this stuff, i am hopeful i finish quickly

i ALSO developed a schedule that i will do for writing when the time comes around. my goal is 95,000 words, and i have mathed it out so that if i can write 3,750 words a week (not that much, 750 words, 5 days a week or 536ish words a day) then it will be completed in in less than six months. this is doable and also gives me a LOT of wiggle room, both to get extremely ahead of schedule (if i get really into it) or really behind schedule (if i can only bring myself to write 500 a day for a week, i have another 2 days to write that extra 1250) (for context, this is over 400 words, so i will need to write less than 2 of these a day, this only took me maybe 20 minutes but that's including going over a couple times with my eyes and with Grammarly to fix any spelling mistakes and grammar errors (as well as adding tags and this side note, we are more like at 547 in this whole thing, including the tags), i will not be doing that on my rough draft because that shit is supposed to be rough and editing it will kill my motivation so hard)

This was a long and nice journey. I met amazing people and I'm glad for that, but sometimes things have to end for the good. It was very fun and joyous while it lasted. I created this blog on a whim to make my own AU of KNY, because there wasn't enough content of them to satisfy me. I never would've imagined so many people would read my writings and enjoy them. It's also drastic how much my life has changed from back then to now. It's been 2 years I think. This was such a warm journey, I liked it. pls dont kill me but like- im not like super into the whole "dad SWK and dad Macaque" thing. like its clear there is some fatherly relationship between wukong and mk, and sort of one with macaque although i believe fanon greatly overstates that relationship.

im chill with it! it has its moments if done right and explored in an interesting way, its just- that doesn't happen. people just are keen to put more characters in a found family into their little nuclear family structure. mei is clearly mk's sister and haha mk has four dads and also sandy is a fun uncle (although if we're being honest with ourselves theyd forget sandy exists) anddd.... you get the picture. im sure youve seen it before but it ends up going past harmless little jokes (although even those can get annoying), and goes more into straight up labeling that as being their exact relationship. Mk sees SWK as his dad and SWK sees him as his son. no nuance to that relationship whatsoever. this is where you get "sibling coded" arguments from. where if someone ships, for example, golden dragon, someone will be in the comments being like "umm... theyre kinda sibling coded so idk why youd ship them....." despite of course sibling coded being a made up term to just try and make people feel bad for shipping something you personally don't like. it's made to imply pro/comship, which is of course implying youre a creep who likes incest. because people these days CANNOT handle someone shipping something they do not personally ship (in all fairness its always been this way, we're just employing new tactics in the ship war recently), but that makes you seem like an ass (bc you are), so you have to make some kind of moral argument as to WHY you think people shouldn't ship it. but of course you can't just say theyre related, because people would immeditely be like "they aren't actually" and you'd look like a total loser (bc you are.) so you come up with this fancy new "sibling coded" term. if you can convince people that this ship you don't like has characters that are BASICALLY related (without the legal or blood bond) then people will actually think YOU'RE right and the shippers are the total weirdos.

That went into a tangent but you get what i mean right? people putting relationships between characters within a found family into neat little nuclear family boxes commits the great crime of bad media literacy but also is just harmful to people who are doing nothing wrong other than doing something with media you dont like???? ok.
