Note
I'm probably the last person who follows this blog to found out it's discontinued but I just wanted to say I'll miss it. I enjoyed the journey and the story. Even if I was a bit, or probably "bit", scared to participate much. I wish I knew sooner so that I could bid you guys farewell and safe travels and all that fun stuff with everyone else, but instead you guys are probably all packed up and ready to go and you guys are just finalizing everything and finishing up the final responses to questions like these.
I truly do wish you guys the best of luck with... whatever you guys plan to do next. What are your guys' plans now that this isn't giving unnecessary stress?
Also why do I feel like, throughout the entire story and even now, the a could just be screaming from all the chaos? Seriously I kind of just felt like it would make sense. Like all the newbies freaking out and all the characters just walking freely or something and the people the have been working there for a long time sip on some coffee or similar beverage and do paperwork like it's an average Tuesday.
Sorry if it's long. I just wanted to get everything out since I'm making this on October 30th and it felt like a "speak now or forever hold your peace" thing. ^^'
This might have been the last thing I was expecting to see in the inbox, but we do appreciate your words. Even if you weren't here long, we're still happy to have you.
We genuinely did like the story that we had come up with, so I might give a summary of each of the acts tomorrow as a sendoff before the final post. I actually have written out parts of the CCC(a) plot or generally things about it in my free time, such as a creepy instructional type piece, and I'll likely continue to do so.
None of us have any concrete plans for things to do, at least content-wise (I mean, it's been two years, some of the mods are in college or are in the midst of applying, so those are their plans). We still write stories all the time, coming up with new things every day. It's one of the ways we bond. There is the desire to make a webcomic, but the problem is that we're mostly writers rather than artists. I'd say "feel free to ask about them", but it would take ages to even give brief descriptions of all of your options, no matter how much we'd love to talk about them. If you really want to hear about some of them, hit me up at @owo-whats-bliss , since I kind of have a lot of it saved in my brain.
The A in CCC(a) didn’t stand for anything, and I can't remember why we chose "A" in the first place (it was merely to differentiate the canon CCC). I did occasionally put "the A in CCC(a) stands for AAAAAAAA" as the blog description, so I think your interpretation holds weight. There were horror elements, after all.
Thanks for your kind words. This blog did so much for me, helping me form bonds with others, learn how to manage stress and, to a lesser extent, manage a small team. I ended up being a sort of manager/errand boy by accident. It did a lot for all of us, even if, in the end, all it did was bring us together. I'm grateful for how my life has changed because of this.
Sorry if this seemed kind of "me me me", it's just that I'm usually the one to answer and I had a lot to say. Other mods are free to share their thoughts.

Day 31: halloween costumes
Tumblr media
Masterlist flufftober 🎀
First I want to thank all the people who followed this during the month, I honestly never thought I would be able to join this kind of events, and I am very happy with the reception that each work received, you are incredible and made my days the best! I Hope this last one is to your liking, I send you a hug wherever you are
Deciding on an individual costume is already difficult, so you weren't surprised when you realized that a couple costume involved a bigger concern.
Halloween had finally arrived and you had practically begged Spencer to find a couple's costume for the party the FBI was hosting, something not really official, but with most of the agents, at the bar your friend David Rossi had chosen.
“Any suggestions for our outfit?” you had asked the man, once you convinced him to match his costume with yours.
Spencer thought about it for a while and although many of the options he gave you sounded excellent, there was the detail of the short time you had to get things or the disadvantage that few people would be able to recognize the theme of your costume.
“It has to be something practical and known,” you had murmured, when both of you were sitting on the couch at dinner time and a children's channel filled the void in the room.
Until, watching TV, you finally figured it out: you had the perfect option right in front of your eyes and you never saw it.
So it was that on the night of the 31st, quite happy and satisfied with the choice you made, you drove to the place and let him behave like a gentleman by opening the car door for you.
“Are you sure I look good?”
“You've never looked more handsome” you smiled at him, trying to calm his anxiety, while both of you walked hand in hand towards the entrance.
You didn't have to wait long to see your friends and, as you expected, they were comically surprised at you.
“No way…” Morgan had laughed, looking at you up and down. “Pretty boy in bell-bottoms? Now that's something I didn't think I'd see."
Shaggy and Velma from Scooby Doo. That was you two.
It was true that Spencer was wearing brown bell-bottom pants that you had gotten at a thrift store. You also searched your closet and luckily found a v-neck shirt in the perfect color. Unfortunately, your boyfriend had recently cut his hair and you wished you had thought about the costume more in advance so he could show off his long locks just like the animated character.
You had bought a few things from your all-orange outfit, but the bonus with you was that you could wear them later. When Spencer saw you, he was stunned and didn't waste the opportunity to compliment you extensively.
“What can we tell you? They solve mysteries and catch monsters, it's almost like our job”
"How nice!" murmured JJ, who had just arrived accompanied by her husband Will. Both of them were dressed as vampires “I loved Scooby Doo when I was a kid. My favorite was always Daphne.”
“I don't know why that doesn't surprise me,” joked Emily, who was dressed as the bride of Frankenstein's monster and drank from a glass with an unknown concoction.
“You should have told us and we could have done a group costume,” she smiled, while she looked at Will, hinting that they could have been the other couple on the show.
"Clear. You Daphne, him Fred and Morgan would have been the dog”
A collective laugh filled the place where even Derek, the affected one, smiled while he pointed a finger at you.
“Guess who was my favorite,” you murmured, a little more to your boyfriend than the others.
“Huh, Velma?”
“It was Shaggy!” you replied amused, while you took his arm to plant a kiss on his cheek.
“Reid looks a little like Velma if you think about it. You know, with all those facts and statistics and they're the damn nerd of the group”
Spencer blushed slightly at the comparison and didn't think of anything clever to answer because, sadly, Morgan was right this time.
You complimented the others' costumes and everyone agreed that you were looking forward to seeing Penelope Garcia and her extravagant clothes, since she hadn’t yet honored you with her presence. After that the group started talking about something else and soon the two of you were no longer the center of attention, allowing you to take the man's hand and sneak over to the drinks bar to look for something to cool your throat with.
“Does this have alcohol?” your boyfriend asked the bartender over the noise of the music, making you laugh lightly. When he checked that the drink was safe, he took one and made sure to order your favorite cocktail afterwards.
“If you think about it a little, we are both more like each other's characters,” you murmured thoughtfully, because what your friend had said seemed to have echoed in your head. “Shaggy was always clumsy and an enthusiastic eater. Like me"
“You're not clumsy.”
"I am. But not in a bad way, not like being an idiot or something, but like something…”
“Cute and adorable?” he completed.
"Exactly. You always know what I'm thinking."
“Despite I agree, I think the costume wouldn't have worked at all that way,” your boyfriend smiled, approaching you to grab your waist. Because of the heels your height was more balanced and he only needed to extend his hands a little to reach your body.
"Why?"
“Don't get me wrong, but I don't think that skirt would have looked good on me at all” you let out a loud laugh at this, realizing what he was referring to “Although you, on the other hand…” while he spoke one of his hands slid down until he slapped your butt, startling you slightly “you look gorgeous in it”
“You have all night to figure out how to take it off,” you said flirtatiously. Now it was Reid who held his breath “I'm wearing something underneath that I make sure matches the rest of the outfit and that I think you'll love”
The wink you gave him was enough to make him nervous and, evidently, excited by the images that his skillful mind was already beginning to generate.
Once you got your cocktail you returned to the hustle and bustle but your velvety voice couldn't leave Spencer's mind, who couldn't wait for the night to end because he was sure that the best candy he would receive this Halloween would be you.

I've been a Pokémon fan since the very beginning and recently a friend asked me who my favourite character was. I couldn't answer with just one character. So instead I gave her my top 3 favourites from each generation - and then turned it into this. lol
A little bit more info under the cut if you're interested.
_______
Please do not alter, repost/reupload or redistribute my artwork anywhere! (Reblogging is perfectly fine, of course.)
Gen 1:
Blue: The original rival, you loved to hate him. :D
Erika: I loved her design as a kid, even though I had no idea what a kimono was back then lol
Bill: No idea tbh lol. I like his hair and that he's a nerd, I guess? Honestly, Gen 1 did not have that many memorable and fleshed out characters, so I kinda struggled here.
Gen 2:
Lance: Honestly, he was my fave in Gen 1 already. I love his strength, his design, his virtuousness, his bravery, his code of honour, his everything. To me he's like a knight in shiny armour from old fairytales. lol I could spend a whole day describing all the things I love about him, but I don't wanna bore you.
Eusine: Probably a weird pick for many because he is kinda obnoxious in the game lol I've always had a soft spot for him though and I really wanted him to get Suicune in the end, after he'd changed.
Morty: I love his design and colours and that he's Eusine's bff and voice of reason.
Gen 3:
Steven: He is classy, wears a really awesome suit, has very cool Pokémon and is still a huge nerd. I love it!
Archie: (I see you, @chipsncookies) Big hunk with a big smile and a cool outfit. Beard. Not a bad guy, actually. Learns that he was wrong and does everything to make things right again. Frienemies with Maxie.
Maxie: Scrawny beanpole with a silly (but very cozy looking) outfit. Secretly a dork. Not a bad guy either. Learns from his mistakes and wants to make them right again. Frienemies with Archie.
Gen 4:
Riley: I was a huge fan of Sir Aaron in the movie and Riley is just as awesome. I love his hat too. His personality is also similar to Lance's, so that's a huge plus.
Cynthia: I really, really like her. She is so cool and strong and her theme is amazing. Just like Charizard she's become too popular and that gets a bit tiresome sometimes.
Looker: Okay, I admit, it took me a while to get used to Looker. But now I like his quirky, funny Inspector Gadget shenanigans. What changed my mind was the aftergame of XY. ;__;
Gen 5:
Ingo & Emmet: I couldn't do it. I couldn't choose who of them I like more. So they share the first place. They're a duo anyway. And absolutely inseparable. R-Right?
Elesa: I like her mainly because of the fanon that she's bffs with the subway twins. But she's also not the bitchy supermodel that I first thought she was. She's actually kind and supportive.
Alder: Funny grandpa with awful hair, but a big heart and a great theme song.
Gen 6:
Lysandre: His design always gave me Ganondorf-vibes. That's pretty much it. His goal is stupid.
Emma: Her storyline in the post-game was by far the best thing in XY. And her theme is so beautiful!
Sycamore: I still wish he had actually turned out to be evil. I still like him.
Gen 7:
Kukui: What is not to love about him? He's a hunk, he loves his wife, he takes in Lillie, he punches Pokémon with his bare hands.
Lillie: Sweet little girl who deserves all the love from her friends and her adoptive parents instead of all the shit her psycho bio mother put her through.
Burnet: She's sweet and smart and kind and I wish she had a much bigger role in the game. Her anime part was great though <3
Gen 8:
Piers, Sonia and Raihan: Honestly... These are pretty much the only characters that I remember lol Gen 8 was very underwhelming for me.
Gen 9:
Arven: Just a poor neglected boy who wants to save his sick dog. In contrast to his shitty parents he's got a big heart, is caring, nurturing and supportive.
Clavell: The twist about this character was that there was no twist. He is just a very kind grandpa who genuinely cares for the well-being of his students. I also LOVE his battle theme.
Hassel: This game really is full of wholesome boomers. Hassel's got a huge heart for art and his students and Pokémon. He's also not afraid of showing his emotions.

More replies! Related to our posts from yesterday + a couple of JadeSil ones from a while ago.
Anonymous asked:
I guess Sebek will be annoyed on waking up in the morning with Silver only to realized animals are around.
lol yeah, imagine falling asleep with Silver and waking up to that one scene from Bambi where all the animals greet the new prince. Things Sebek has to get used to….
hipsterteller asked:
Welp at least they didn’t find a skeleton
You mean… under the birdies?! Spooky..!
Anonymous asked:
Poor Jamil can't catch a break even at clubs.. (he secretly loves it, don't tell anyone lol he's shy)
- basketball poly asker
(this is related to a reply from yesterday)
Yeeeah, it’s probably better for Jamil when he gets pestered by these boys: this way he gets to have some action but also don’t proactively seek it out lol But of course the thought itself would never occur to Jamil! It’s all his subconscious mind.
Anonymous asked:
Hehe...imagine Azul seeing Jamil and Ace together. Another jealously alert. Even better, Jamil, Ace, and Floyd together.
Azul would get jealous with anyone who gets close to Jamil probably lol So with Ace it would be the same scenario as it is with Ruggie: he’s confused about Jamil’s choice and tries to win him over.
And with Floyd, well, Azul would just have to shut up and be patient and hope that Floyd gets bored of Jamil… because if he tells Floyd to stop, Floyd is just going to cling to Jamil even more :(
Anonymous asked:
Hi! I’m that JadeSil shipper from that one ask, is it okay if you can give some hcs on how would Silver’s first time would go if it was with Jade?
+
Anonymous asked:
I have Jade/Sil brainrot after seeing some other people talk about it…(and totally not because I am dirty minded)
What if one day Silver was eating Mushroom Risotto but it had a “special” mushroom (courtesy of Jade)  which had an aphrodisiac-like effect. Silver eventually asks Jade for help on why he feels so weird…and you can imagine how the rest goes
Sorry it took me so long to reply, Anon! Or are you two different Anons..? In any case, I’m sorry for taking so much time and for not giving a satisfying answer: since these two aren’t a ship we’re very invested in, even though we like it in theory, I won’t come up with any headcanons, but I’ll share my thoughts…. Because when I started to think about their first time, the setup I came up with was pretty much the same as what was mentioned in this second ask lol
Since the main theme/motif of their relationship that I always think about is mushrooms, I think the whole thing will start with Jade’s fascination with Silver’s appetite for mushrooms and his appreciation of them. And for a very long time, he would simply feed him without adding anything suspicious to it, but then he’ll notice just how good Silver is at describing the differences between different kinds of mushrooms Jade uses for the risotto. So of course he’s going to be tempted to feed him a “special mushroom”…
Poor Silver would be so conflicted. He never expected to get poisoned, and Jade seems deeply concerned as well… but is he really?  And would Jade really make such a mistake?
So yeah, long story short, Silver’s instinct would probably be to try to get back to his room and hide there until he gets better, but the poison is too strong, and with all his actions and words being just a big blur, he’ll end up having sex with Jade.
Jade is going to be surprised y Silver though, because while he knows that a lot of what’s going on is due to aphrodisiac (that was the whole idea), some of the things just seemed way too “natural”: Silver’s body is clearly used to having intense and lengthy sex, his movements are very intentional and he even has some noticeable preferences. Silver wouldn’t say a word during their first time (he just couldn’t articulate – he was too aroused), but his body language spoke volumes. Jade would probably be quite intrigued by him…
(whoops I guess I wrote it in a way that it isn't Silver's first time, I just noticed that...sorry!!)

i can't find the vods for the rest of your endwalker playthrough (if you even did stream the rest) so i was wondering, what were your opinions on 6.0? (also what were your reactions to That urianger scene)
I think I only did like one or two streams of it. It ran kinda bad when I streamed it, people didn't want to watch it, and I wasn't getting much out of streaming it compared to just playing it on my own time. That and I think I had a really severe depressive episode at the time (for unrelated reasons).
IDK if anyone's still trying to avoid spoilers but I'll throw it under a read-more.
It's been a while since I last played so my memory's kind of spotty. I liked it, though. It felt like a satisfying conclusion to what they've been getting at since 2.0 MSQ, and a nice little dialogue on despair and exhaustion and depression and hope, and finding ways to carry on and keep living and keep loving and keep trying. I feel like that's when the game's overall writing and theming tends to be at its strongest (yes I liked the Dark Knight questlines haha).
I remember having mixed feelings about how they pulled off the Garlemald segment & the "Alphinaud and Alisaie's shit head dad" plotline but I don't remember enough of the specifics to really elaborate on that.
Alisaie has lesbian college admirers and I thought that was funny.
I came out of 5.5 MSQ expecting White Woman Jumpscare Hydaelyn to be a little trite but I ended up really liking Venat. I felt kinda whatever about Emet-Selch coming back, but I didn't hate what they did with him I guess, and his earless-Viera boy toy was fun. Fandaniel felt like The Joker but he still felt like a fine first-act villain. The way they write him (& Meteion) in the later chunk of the game felt more interesting to me, & felt like a fun play on "Shadowbringers"-era Emet-Selch's whole "AMAUROT, BABY! GREATEST CITY IN DA WORLD, BABY! SLIMES ALL OVER DA STREET, BABY!" nostalgia. It was funny when he was The Joker, though.
Final area was thematically and visually really interesting. I'm excited we got more stuff related to Omega & I'm glad we got more "btw the dragons are aliens" stuff. I've seen a lot of people forget about that, for whatever reason. That one area right by the end that was completely desolate, with no people & no indication of who lived there, was a really good setpiece. The Namazu canonically suffer in all possible dimensions and all possible worlds and you cannot help but laugh out loud.
I kind of rolled my eyes at Zenos coming back. "By the way he's a Reaper now" felt like it amounted to nothing, but admittedly I never did the Reaper questline or the post-6.0 stuff. Getting to punch him in the face at the end was fun.
Music was good, I liked the way they played with different motifs & I really like how that comes to a head in the final boss fight.
I was expecting moon rabbits to be grating and insufferable but I liked them. I fucking love that none of this planet's moons are normal. Why are they both orbital prison-ships. I love it.
Zodiark's design owned and Hydaelyn's design was okay. Very Yoshitaka Amano design, which makes sense given how he did that one boxart for "A Realm Reborn" & she looks a lot like she does there, but I kinda wish she got to look more monstrous and weird. She kept talking up becoming a monster to do what she felt was right!!! I wish that had informed her design a little more.
Hamburgers exist & I do like that the animators got to livingly render G'raha Tia going to town on one like those weird clips of anime girls where it looks like they've never eaten in their lives.
I don't remember what you mean by "the Urianger scene". LOL
You didn't ask, but the crafting/gathering questlines were a lot of fun. I feel like they (& the guildleves) added some fun extra context to everything going on while I was going through the MSQ.
I liked it overall. I don't think it's the highest point of the game's writing, but I had a good time and felt very satisfied by the time it came to a close.

for the ask game--top ten danganronpa characters? from across all the games! :D
I feel like my answers might be a little bit basic bitch... But, if I like them, I like them, I guess.
1 - Hajime Hinata, ngl I adore all the protagonists but there's just something about Hajime that makes me so mentally ill. Like, if I think about his story for too long, I will cry. Just... I dunno the fact that his lack of self worth lead him to make a decision like that is heartbreaking. The older I get, the more I realise just how stupid and damaging the Hope's Peak system is.
2 - Shuichi Saihara, look... I love shy, quiet and reserved male characters, I love blue haired characters, I love detectives... The moment I saw Shuichi, I felt as if he had been made for me, and goddammit it worked because I love this boy. His development over the story is so good and I love how he bounces off all the other characters. I don't even know how to explain it, I just love him.
3 - Makoto Naegi, yes the three protag boys are my top three but that's probably because we get to hear their thoughts on everything throughout the game and that adds so much personality to everything. But Naegi's such a sweetheart and he's so cute. I feel like, even though he's basically the main protagonist of the whole series and he matures a lot in the DR3 anime... He's still everyone's baby boy. Also, his inner monologues when you investigate everything are just so funny.
4 - Kokichi Ouma, I fucking love this lil gremlin man. It makes me a little sad when people call him Komaeda 2.0 because I feel like the only thing they have in common is that they're antagonistic characters but other than that... Not really similar. But he is by far one of the most entertaining characters in the whole series, he steals the show in every scene he's in. And he, along with Kaito, perfectly embodies the themes of V3, with the whole truth vs lies and faith vs logic stuff going on and then Shuichi right in the middle, it makes for really interesting conflicts and character moments. Also, I wholeheartedly adore both the English and Japanese dubs for all of the games, but I just say that Derek Stephen Prince's performance as Kokichi is one of the best I've ever heard, he is clearly loving every single second of it and it makes Kokichi all the more entertaining.
5 - Chiaki Nanami, let's get the obvious part out of the way: she is adorable. I love her design, I love her personality, I love her voice, I love her little "hey hey" voiceline... She's just so cute, okay? But she's such a great character because she and Hajime seem to be able to bring everyone together but in very different ways and despite her more laid-back personality, she will immediately step in to calm things down - like when she smacked Akane when she attacked Nagito. Plus she's honestly so intelligent??? Like she is usually one of the first people to figure things out... But she's also the same girl that ate glue. And I love that duality. And while I have very mixed feelings on the DR3 anime, Chiaki was fantastic, seeing her continue to wait for Hajime after he had signed up for the Project broke my heart... But not as much as that one episode I just can't bring myself to ever rewatch.
6 - Nagito Komaeda, where do I even start with this fuckin guy??? He truly is one of the characters of all time. I feel kinda bad that he's ended up as such a meme because he is genuinely such a complicated character, but with some of the shit he does throughout the series, I am really not surprised he ended up like that. I do really want to explain why I love him so much but to do so would require an entire goddamn essay, so I won't. Also just... Megumi Ogata's voice. That's all. I love her performances.
7 - Kyoko Kirigiri, I said it before and I'll say it again: I love detectives. Honestly, I adore Kirigiri so much... Like I played the first game when I was thirteen and I had the biggest crush on Kyoko, I honestly don't understand how it took me an extra year to figure out I like women... But seriously, I love her design and colour scheme, her voice is gorgeous and I just love her relationship with Naegi so much.
8 - Fuyuhiko Kuzuryuu, again the character development for this guy is just so good. I really didn't think anything of him at the beginning of the game but by the end of the game I adored him. I love his relationship with Hajime and how, by the final few chapters, him, Hajime and Kazuichi are like a lil trio who stick together. And again, Derek Stephen Prince... Goddamn, his performance in the Chapter 2 trial ripped my heart out.
9 - Kiibo, I just love this lil robot guy. I feel kinda bad for him for all the stuff he goes through during the story. Like he keeps getting really excited to show off his features but then everyone's just like "... Is that it?" And let's not forget how everyone used him to a battering ram to break open that water tank and just fucking threw him at it. The boy's been through a lot, most of it from Kokichi tbh. But he's such a cute character and his pride of being a robot and love for his creator is so sweet. Also, that little section in chapter 4 where Monotaro gets confused and acts like Kiibo is his dad is really cute, I remember a manga anthology did a chapter about that scenario and it was adorable.
10 - Nagisa Shingetsu, I really like not as many people pay attention to Another Episode and I get it, it's a spin-off with a completely different playstyle. Hell, I prefer the main games over this game too. But wow, the Warriors of Hope make me feel so bad whenever I play this game. Like, y'know when something is so upsetting, it causes a pit in your stomach? Yeah, that's these kids backstories... All of them make me feel awful but I got really attached to Nagisa because he's one of the ones that stuck around the longest and he had that moment of allowing Komaru to escape but then basically everyone around him manipulates him to make him do what they want and completely mess him up and it just hurts to watch. And it's just disgusting that his father refers to him as 'the subject' not 'Nagisa' not 'my son' just 'the subject'... I just wanna give him a hug... He deserves one after all the shit he's been put through.

Today, we are going to be looking at anime with Mafia-themes. This also includes the Japanese version, Yakuza, since most of the anime are happening in Japan.
Let's get on to it! Also, 🚨SPOILERS🚨.
1️⃣ Nisekoi
Tumblr media
(Picture Source: IMDb thru' Google Image Search)
This is one anime I have watched a long time ago and it was also an anime that is not exactly high on my list. It talks about Raku and Chitoge, both the children of a Yakuza and Mafia family respectively, being engaged to each other for the sake of peaceful living in the same town.
Despite them disliking each other, Raku and Chitoge tends to lean to each other for emotional support as they were the only ones who knew and understood perfectly well how difficult it was to bond with the class without them having to fear they were from a Yakuza or Mafia family.
I honestly don't like this anime, but at the same time it's not that I hate this anime. I guess because the series itself was very long and it was beginning to become a big bore. It was getting very typical and cliche. Raku, just by being himself, started to have many girls fawning over him as the series goes on.
However, I guess the big question is who was the girl that Raku promised to when they were both children? It was a major cliff-hanger and there was no conclusion to it in the anime. Naturally, I didn't want to sit through another season, if there were any, and so I googled the answer. Of course I am not going to say it here even though I did say "Spoilers".
Anyway, despite me not being a big fan of this series, it was actually very popular back then. So, I guess it is worth a watch? I do remember Chitoge being a big baby when she lost the hair scarf her mother bought for her.
Rating: 6⭐/10
2️⃣ Arcana Famiglia
Tumblr media
(Picture Source: Parallax Play thru' Google Image Search)
Anybody who watched Kuroshitsuji (Black Butler) and have watched this anime would definitely ask the same question: "Ciel, what the heck are you doing in this anime?" 😂
Anyway, this is an adaptation from the otome game of the same title. The protagonist, Felicita, is the daughter and heiress to the renowned Cartel. The group of men, and boys, are members of the Cartel and they go around helping the family business, such as the Casino, and even help maintain peace in the town.
So the entire anime is about Felicita being offered up as a bride to the Cartel by her father, which understandably angered her. She decided to go great lengths into proving that she does not need a husband to take over the family. Throughout the anime, you will get to see Felicita observing the every day lives of the Cartel members and also joining them in their jobs. There, she grew to understand them better and also garnered support for her cause.
One thing that awed me in this anime, which can be weird to say, is the way the animators animate Felicita's hair in terms of movement. That is the most realistic hair movement I have seen in any anime setting. It was as though the animators working on this anime remembered that gravity exists for hair as well.
Okay, I know, it's weird... But putting Felicita's hair aside, it is actually quite a nice anime to watch. It does not have the romance genre in it despite it being adapted from its game counterpart, and it gives off a sense of family warmth. Another thing about this anime is that half of its episodes have a post-credit scene and those are hilarious.
Rating: 8⭐/10 (No, it's not because of the hair, I swear)
3️⃣ The Yakuza's Guide to Babysitting

A fairly recent anime where it shows a Yakuza henchman taking care of his boss's young daughter. It is a very cute anime where the Yakuza struggles to care for the young mistress' daily needs.
There isn't really much to talk about in this anime because it is just as it is. A yakuza babysitting his boss's daughter.
All I can say is that it is a highly recommended anime to watch, and it will make you smile from ear to ear as you watch it.

This is one anime I have watched way before Nisekoi. I can't remember all of their names, but I do remember that the orange, light blue, and dark purple guys in the picture above were schoolmates.
Anyway, based on memory, the orange guy, also the main protagonist, was the heir to some mafia family. Just happened that his family migrated to Japan and their heritage was lost in transaction. The pipsqueak guy flew all the way to Japan to prep and teach the orange all he needs to know to take over the mafia family business.
This was also a very long series. I think apart from Bleach, this was another long series I actually finished. I can't remember most of the series but it was filled with lots of actions and fighting. I do remember that there was an arc where the band of misfits above got sucked into a time travelling issue. They ended up in an alternative universe where the mafia family were still trying to fight against the organisation that caused the "destruction" to the world of something. I also remembered some bloke in the anime saying that the timeline we were watching was the only one where they stood a chance of winning.
Anyway, it was quite an enjoyable anime but I wouldn't want to put myself through the long series again. Good watch overall.

Cyrus 1, 2, 13, 15, 20, 26
Hell yeah!!! You KNOW i have so many thoughts about him. Ask game here! I'm still up for answering more :3
1-My first impression of them
I've known about him for ages since he is the main antagonist of one of the games but I never really thought about him all that much until PLA and Cyllene. I love Cyllene and I found the parallels and differences between the two of them very interesting but I just straight up didn't like Cyrus. I thought his whole plan made no sense and I thought team Galactic's theming was silly (and still do but it's silly affectionate rather than silly derogatory). Here's an image I made from my Cyrus hater era:
Tumblr media
I do stand by it though Cyllene is just objectively cooler she can swordfight. Get on it blue boy.
2- When I think I truly started to like them
I remember exactly when and why. I'd come to think about him more just as his own character but he wasn't a blorbo, just a vaguely interesting guy I put in unpleasant situations. I found him disappearing into the distortion world and never being seen again fun since woah local antagonist meets a fate worse than death. I still didn't like him all that much or understand him though. Until I was poking around and found the stuff from the platinum manga, Cyrus bleeding from the eyes and dead on the floor and cradling shaymin and stuff and I was like holy shit. this is cool. there's way more to this guy than I thought (helps that the distortion world fucked him up and me and Ren Giratinaplushie love to put a guy in the distortion world). And from there I decided to go have a look at RR cyrus and "Had I met you sooner... Would things have been different for me...?" as well as his interactions with the Rotom Dex hit me like a fucking truck and the rest is history.
13- Your favorite friendship they have
His friendship with the Commanders is very important to me. It's one sided because. Well he's Cyrus. But I like to think he cares for them more than he thinks he does, and doesn't even realise it. I mean three guys who care about this depressed assshole loner so much they would end the world for him? Come on. He's got FRIENDS dammit. Also him and Sophocles in masters is real important to me. He sees himself in Sophocles and Sophocles is so desperate to help him and AUGH........ Sophocles is very much what Cyrus could've been.
15- Worst storyline they had
His anime plotline. Next question. (phrased so as to be amusing)
20- A weird headcanon
hm, I don't know if this is 'weird' but I like to think that he just kind of has a natural affinity for Rotom. Like they see him and just. wander right over and cozy up on his shoulder and he has no idea why. They love him for no real reason. I like to think of Rotom in the pokemon world as Lazarus taxa (since they're in PLA but presented as a recent discovery in Platinum), and Cyrus the one to rediscover them as a child and that's how he did it. Such a rare and elusive pokemon just wandering right up to him possessing one of his toys.
26-When do you think they were being "themselves" the most?
Hmm... Difficult question. I think that in terms of like. meta characterisation he's pretty consistent (barring anime cyrus but we don't talk about that), but in terms of like in universe, i do think that a lot of his public facing facade is an act. He's not personable, he's good with speeches because its pre-prepared and he presents a deliberately constructed face to his people. I guess in that vein when he's being most 'himself' would probably be when he gets pissed off and rants at you on top of Mt. Coronet, and in Masters when he's speaking with Sophocles about machines and stuff. Admittedly for totally different reasons but yeah.

Do you mind if I ask your top 10 favorite characters (can be male or female) from all of the media that you loved (can be anime/manga, books, movies or tv series)? And why do you love them? Sorry if you've answered this question before.....Thanks...
Thank you for asking!!!!! Love a chance to talk about myself.
The way I got this ask and like IMMEDIATELY forgot any piece of media I have ever consumed?? If I forgot any of my faves... sorry to them!!
Also, a running theme for most of my faves is that they have overcome being otherized and/or trauma and came out being pettier and more self righteous, lol.
Uchiha Sasuke from Naruto. Pettiest bitch alive and he DESERVES IT! Should be pettier.
Wei Wuxian from MDZS/The Untamed. Went through hell, kinda literally, and did awful things but still chose to do the right thing, every single fucking time.
Fenris from Dragon Age. Watching him emerge from such an awful place and learn to let people in, while remaining sooo rough around the edges, was lovely.
Spock!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! From both TOS and AOS, less so from Disco/SNW, because he's just so fucking funny and also watching him be so repressed and then be forced out of that repression is fun. I love him. Baby boy.
Joy from EEAAO. Loved watching her anger, loved watching her creativity, and I loved watching her anger make her mother change. I love that she was able to give up the anger because she was finally seen and her hurt was legitimized.
***** ****** from ******* ******** because *runs away*
NGL.... it's still my boy Edward Elric. In many ways, I should let him go. But he was my first rep of atheism in literally the funniest fucking way ("Yeah I've seen God but... nah.") and I still enjoyed his journey, even if I now have major issues with the narrative and apologism and recognize Scar as a far more compelling character than Edward. Sorry to everyone but when I saw Edward at age.... 13, I did not realize what war crime apologism looked like. At least I let go of stanning Mustang. Cause I wanted that man carnally for a long time.
Sook-hee from The Handmaiden. Watching her fuck shit up was cathartic.
I need to finish my watch through (bingewatching two seasons in a week was mentally taxing, tbh) but Flint and Max from Black Sails. Again... love a selfish character who has felt left behind by the world and so they take what they can from the world. They deserve it!
Recency bias I guess but I'm REALLY loving Frieren from... Frieren. Watching her learn to value other people while going around with her lil :3 face is nice.
I feel like this list is leaving a lot of faves out--my lovely Sailor Jupiter who I imprinted on like a baby duck and have carried in my heart ever since, Dimitri Fire Emblem, Qifrey, and probably so many more. The characters that I love just for horny reasons (Yae Miko, Kaveh, Tighnari my beloveds). Characters I love for their potential (Finn, Poe, and Rey from Star Wars)(Also Cassian but I guess I could love him more if I watched Andor but I will not be watching Disney+ shows.) Characters who I love now (Louis, Lestat, Claudia from IWTV the show) but haven't finished their arcs yet, so idk how I'll feel int he future. Etc etc.
I will also say that this list feels a biiiiiit swayed by characters who I have experienced more in fandom. There are characters from one off books, video games, comics that I CONNECT with more, maybe idolized more, but engage with less often because there's no fandom, so they come to mind less immediately. And they've been butchered less by fanon, so I don't project onto them as much. Like they are FULLER vessels, which means they have less room for me to go "Oh, yeah, we are exactly the same. Let me into your brain."
This list is mainly of characters I love to play with like bratz dolls in my brain and is less about like... maybe heavily fucking with them while consuming their media and then being able to let them go when I'm done.

2 6 and 13 for the ask game?
2. Has your writing changed over time?
Most definitely. I mean, I started writing fanfiction when I was like, 13? On Quizilla and then FFN -- so improvement since then obviously goes without saying.
If we want to go off of fanfiction I'm actually willing to show people, well yeah - even then, super different. I ran a Sports & Shounen anime imagines blog before this one, started it my senior year of high school back when I was all bright-eyed and bushy-tailed lol -- so the content was pretty dang vanilla.
Now, I'm a jaded working professional on antidepressants with a whole-ass screenwriting degree -- so the way that I write and the things that I like to write about are drastically different, lol.
6. If you plan, what does your planning process look like?
Hoooo, boy -- do you have an hour? Lol
Yeah, I'm a big planner. Outlines are my bread and butter, although the beginnings are a little more free form. I'll usually get an idea and start writing a couple pages (or chapters, if I'm already planning for it to be a long fic) to see if it's actually a viable idea I want to commit to, and then once it is, I'll take some time to outline it.
As mentioned above, my education and professional background is in screenwriting -- so I tend to take an approach that's pretty similar to different stages of a script or story bible.
First I write a brief, broad premise of the whole story. It's not particularly pretty writing, much more like a Wikipedia summary - just kind of a way for me to determine the beginning, middle and end.
From there, if it's a long fic, I'll expand it into a Beat Sheet. I map the fic out chapter by chapter with about a paragraph or so summary of what happens in each one. It helps me a lot to know what exactly I'm building to and to not start with a blank page every time. If I have ideas for dialogue in that scene, but know I'm not going to get to that chapter for a while - I'll usually throw some of that in too.
Here's what Play Nice looked like at that outline stage:
Tumblr media
From there, I'll go through and track the different Plotlines and make sure they all get the time and beats they need to arrive at a compelling resolution.
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
You can also probably tell that, by this point, a lot of plot points have been fleshed out and locked in, and look a lot more like what was actually in the chapter than in the original, vaguer outline. I'll usually do a lot of character and theme work during that time too - writing out backstories, wants and needs of the characters, etc, etc.
And then that's what I work with. I don't behold myself to the outline completely or anything. Sometimes plot points change, get rearranged between episodes, or get cut altogether. Sometimes scenes last longer than I expected them to or I get some new ideas that I really love and I have to add more chapters. But having a roadmap like this really helps me stay motivated, keep track of where I am and what I'm trying to say with the story, and, maybe most importantly, stay on course towards the ending, even if I take a couple of detours.
13. Multichapter fics or one shots?
Haha I guess multi-chapter fics, but I do like both. A lot of the time when I'm writing a one-shot, I get way too invested in the idea and want to expand it into a multi-chapter (lookin at you Play Nice and Burnt Bridges lol -_-)

🤗🤯✅⛔✍ is this excessive should I be ashamed
Nah, it's ok!! I love long asks tbh bc I love giving long answers 😂 so thank you lol!! Enjoy this novel of an answer, and thanks for the ask 😂😂🤲🏻💖
🤗 Advice for new writers?
I'll give you guys a piece of real advice instead of the ever vague "practice", lol: The secret to making a truly great story/reading experience is immersion. Don't be afraid to spare details or to get inside a character's head or to use analogies and metaphor- you're the writer, you have the power!
Some of the best books are the ones that don't spare the details on things like environment and feelings and inner thoughts, stuff like that, you know? It's like it's one thing to say there's two characters sitting in the room, and then jump right to their dialogue- it's another thing if you start out describing the room a little first, then maybe describe how character A feels, maybe how Character B is acting or wearing or anything like that, THEN after maybe a paragraph or two first, we get into the dialogue.
It's like this, for the room think about maybe what sounds are there? A clock on the wall? The rain? Or maybe even just the sound of silence. All viable additions. What about the colors? Smells maybe? Temperature? These things are used to set the mood and the readers expectations for the scene as well as to help us feel like we're there. It gives your story a poetic quality if done well and really engages the readers imagination, which makes them want to keep reading more!
🤯 Hardest genre for you to write?
oof, probably horror tbh. I never really write that stuff at all, so I have very little experience with it lol. So there's that, but also the fact that I feel like I'm bad a writing suspense 😂 horror done well makes you the reader feel the same dear and suspense as the characters you're reading about, and sometimes I feel like I have a heard time detailing or building a sense of dread and danger
✅ Something that appears in your fics over and over, even if you don't mean it?
Boy, do it lol! 😂😂 I'm a huge sucker for literary themes in my works, which is probably why I can never just write little one shots or fics that are purely fluff or whatever. Everything has to be a grand scale production featuring a hidden message with me 😂
To answer more specifically tho, the themes of "Love is the worthiest of all pursuits", "only through great suffering does one achieve great reward", and "man versus his own evil nature" are present in pretty much every fic I write.
I will say tho, the latter of the three usually only manifests in the metaphorical sense of a literal monster man (think really any of my beloved mutants: nightcrawler, wolverine, sabretooth, toad, ect) battling with his """"evil"""" animal inspiration instincts/nature to try and find balance so as to fit in as a functioning member to normal, human society- or, more commonly, so as to be better partner for their human love interest (hey, I love monster guys too- but I wouldn't want to commit the rest of my life to a guy who's in a constant state of bloodlust and/or not only has the shortest temper on the planet, but the superhuman strength, fangs, and claws to rip me apart while he's at it)
⛔ Fic you started and then scraped?
Dnsksksk oof, where to start tbh lol. I have a few X-Men x reader fics sitting on hiatus, plus my penguin one but I wouldn't say they're scrapped tbh. I guess the only fic I can definitely say I started and will most certainly not be returning to would be my chose your own adventure Beatles x reader fic from waaaaay back
It was a cool and ambitious concept, and it was actually really working for a while too, but idk. I think I either just got bored of it or I ran out of ideas to keep the diverging paths going tbh.
One of these days I should do that for the X-Men tbh lol. Like a choose your path date thing, just like how the Beatles one was. That would be pretty sick, ngl
✍️ do you have a beta reader?
Sort of! I occasionally run concepts or passages by @samatedeansbroccoli but I never send her or anyone else like entire chapters to read and all that lolll
I would feel kinda bad to make someone read and evaluate my literal 5k word chapters all in one sitting unless they would 100000% be interested in reading the published fic already 😅

Thank you for the ask <3
Iced Lemon Tea : Favorite song/band?
That changes like every month 😅 The Longest Johns were my top spotify wrapped artists last year, but I continue to be very fond of Dota and cavetown as well. My longest lasting love is for Abba though, and my favourite song of theirs would probably be - oh, I really can't say. I definitely love 'The Winner Takes it All' and 'Chiquitita' and 'Mamma Mia' a lot.
I recently listened to 'Bang-A-Boomerang' for the first time, though, and it is adorable? At least the music video is? So if you happen to have missed that one until now, like me, and you generally enjoy Abba, maybe have a listen?
youtube
Early Grey Tea : The inevitable Zombie Apocalypse is upon us! What’s your plan of action?
Okay, so my parents are some sort of preppers? They don't have a full panic room in their house or anything, but they have food and water for ages and wood and a fireplace and a radio that works with solar energy. So, I would try to get to their place and team up (in case they aren't infacted yet). And like, sadly covid has been a good way of evaluating who among the people you know are very likely to be stupid and get bitten immediately (because they don't believe in zombies even when scientists are telling them to run), so I have a list of people I would definitely stay away from.
And then I'd probably die within a week anyway.
Not the point of the question, but may I recommend you my favourite piece of zombie apocalypse art? It's a BlackBoxTV production starring the amazing Mary Kate Wiles and Monica Joy Sherer. It is heartbreaking and morbidly funny and I had to watch it several times to grasp the little details of what exactly was going on:
youtube
So, yeah, I've learnt all my tricks there and from tgwdlm -> meaning I'm definitely screwed.
Iced Coffee : Do you like reading? If so, what’s your favorite book?
I like reading and I don't do it nearly enough. I adored Tschick (Why we took the car), and have read it like 5 times, so I usually say that's my favourite book. But I think, actually, most of my favourite books are children books? Like Something else by Kathryn Cave (illustrations by Chris Riddell). It is one of the most beautiful books out there. Just, look at that art:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Isn't it gorgeous?
And, Idk, the little animal trying to fit in and it just doesn't work, because no matter how hard they try to imitate the other animals, it always looks just a little different? Until someone else who is different comes along and then he doesn't have to fit in? They can just be something else together? That just really resonates with kids who feel like they don't fit in either, I guess
In case you don't know it, there are several people reading it aloud on yt. Like this one is lovely, f.ex.:
youtube
Also, omg are you seeing that Something else has a stuffed animal that looks like him? That is literal perfection. (Also, like, I don't want to spoil the ending but the ending is amazing.)
(Also I just realised Tschick is basically also about a boy who doesn't fit in whose life becomes so much better when he makes friends with the other boy in class who is cast out, so, yeah, I am seeing something of a theme there.)

chapter six. make it official
warning(s): manga/anime spoilers, strong language, slightly ooc with crack-ish themes(?), mentions of blood and violence
small reminder: i can't tag some of you for sumn reason in the taglist, so make sure that tagging is enabled for you!
notes: idk why but i had to rewrite this chapter like eight times ??? i guess final exams are really messing my writing up—also fluff at the end, couldn't help myself but dont worry, i plan on writing other scenarios with the other members of toman. for now enjoy the mikey and reader interactions :)
as for my bb! scarletwitch! fushiguro! reader series—it is currently on hold. will get back to it sooner later (maybe when the jjk movie comes up? idk i kinda lost motivation and i got so many requests in lined for it so its kinda stressful to think of how to write a scenario and such <\3 so sorry!!)

another pathetic excuse slipped past your school. it started with you falling down the stairs and now a car accident. you were beginning to wonder how they easily believed you and rie's excuses. when you came at school with a few patches on your face, your classmates gave you a few strange and terrified looks.
you were wearing an oversized black jacket to hide your arms once again, but the exposed skin on your thighs was visibly bandaged.
nonetheless, they expressed concern for you—believing that you really had gotten into a car accident just from the look of your current state. bearing the title as the queen of st. ishiyama and toman's girl, they spoke nothing of it despite the glances they gave you. you could tell that some of them weren't as gullible as the others and believed it was more than a car accident.
as usual, you went on with your day at school. rie was absent since her parents forbade her from going in order for her to get some rest, so classes went by quick with you having no one to talk to. speaking of rie's parents, fortunately they didn't stop the two of you from being friends. you were extremely grateful for rie who covered up a couple of details that involved you and toman.
by the time lunch came, you were alone at the rooftop. eating an onigiri you bought from a convenient store beforehand while leaning against the railing, gazing at the feathery and crystalline horizon.
"oi, [name]-chan!"
ah, he's here again.
you glanced past your shoulders and nearly dropped the onigiri you held in your right hand. "toman?"
stood before you were the founding members of the infamous gang that had your back when you went against moebius. they were still dressed in their school uniforms and to your surprise, they even took takemichi along with them. clearly, you weren't expecting to see them here with mikey and draken.
"did you guys just skipped class?" your tone dropped, pointing out the obvious.
draken answered, letting out a long breath of sigh. "mikey insisted it."
"school's boring, it's only right we go somewhere." mikey argued, retorting to draken's statement.
"we all know you came here just to see her." and just like that, draken ended up getting punched on the arm by mikey.
you pinched the bridge of your nose when mikey and draken began to argue with each other. takemichi panicked, instantly mediating the argument of the two. you were then approached the first division captain of toman.
the ravenous haired boy grinned, holding out a hand for you to shake. "hey firecracker, nice to see you up and about. the name's baji, keisuke by the way. i don't think we've formally introduced."
you accepted his hand and shook it, returning his compliment. "thanks, i'm [surname], [name]."
"you've already met mitsuya and pah?" baji glanced at the two captains who glanced at you curtly as you nodded your head.
"have you been well, [name]-san?" mitsuya asked, striking a conversation with you.
you nodded, smiling a bit. he appeared to be the calmest out of the bunch. you loved the aura radiating from him. "i'm good, no worries about it. i do kind of feel rusty after getting hospitalized though."
you then flickered your eyes to mikey and sighed. "i still can't believe he literally pulled you guys out from class just to come see me. that's stupid."
"it's not stupid, mind you. i have something important to tell you!" you, along with the captains, turned your head towards mikey who faced you—childishly pouting with his arms crossed.
you raised a brow, placing a hand on your hip as you nibbled on the onigiri who haven't finished eating. "what could be so important for you to skip class and come see me?"
leaving takemichi and draken's side, mikey's aura as the commander of toman appeared and took over the atmosphere. in response to this, you shoved the rest of your food in your mouth before striding to meet him in the middle of the rooftope and mirrored his drastic change of demeanor.
"join us."
you gazed into his eyes and saw desperation. the way he asked you wasn't even a request, it was a demand.
i'm repeating history again.
for a split second, your mind resurfaced the memories you held onto. from how you paved your way into the delinquent life, your first and last empire of girls at your previous school, you fighting moebius and now—sano, manjiro offering you a once in a lifetime opportunity.
with that, a fit of laughter broke from you.
pah glanced at you in confusion, scratching the back of his head before turning to baji and mitsuya. "what is she laughing for?"
"oi, [name]-chan. what's so funny?" the childish and carefree aura that mikey held returned when he saw the look of amusement and laughter on your face.
you clasped a hand over your mouth to surpress your laughter while clutching your stomach. "oh my god, mikey."
"stop laughing! i am serious." mikey shot you a lighthearted glare.
you cleared your throat, subsiding your fit of laughter. you shook your head, now folding your arms across your chest. "yeah, not happening serious."
"ouch, the rejection." baji commented in an exasperated manner before laughing.
mitsuya glanced at baji. "why do you sound like they broke up or something?"
"what do you want? name your price." who would have thought mikey could be this persistent just to have you?
you quipped, tapping your chin with your fingers as you rolled your feet back and forth in a thinking manner. "anything, huh?"
"do you want to be a captain? your own divisio— "fight me, manjiro."
everyone looked at you as if you had lost your marbles. they eyed you from head to toe in unison, sharing the same exact thoughts. you had a death wish.
"there's no way i'm hitting a girl." mikey immediately waved his hands at you, clearly disliking your request.
you answered persistently, folding your arms. "you have my full consent to hit me. if you win, i'm joining toman without any questions but if i win, i'm not joining. those are my conditions."
mikey looked at you with uncertainty evident in his eyes. he never doubted your abilities, in fact he was confident that you were more than capable of protecting yourself. just like the rest of toman, they had a moral code of not using their violence against girls.
fighting you was against his will, but the temptation to have you was strong.
"i want the rest of toman to spectate our fight later at the musashi temple, midnight." you answered firmly.
"this girl is crazy." baji looked at you, chuckling. "but she's got confidence, i'll give her that."
"[name]-san against mikey-kun?" just the thought of it scared takemichi.
"alright, i'll accept your request." mikey sighed in defeat. "but don't blame me if you end up going to the hospital again and you better mean your second condition."
"you'll bring me there regardless of the outcome, i just know it." you chuckled, flashing him a genuine smile of yours. one that could make someone like him fall hard for you. "and i never go back on my word, that's a promise."
you were quite ecstatic.
you weren't scared of how it was going to turn out. in fact, it doesn't matter at this point because right now. this was your chance to analyze and learn from the invincible mikey himself. after getting hospitalized, you knew you were going to be rusty. so, what better way to get yourself conditioned and warmed up? simple, a fight against a gang leader.
"oi, you two cannot be serious." draken intervened, stepping in between you and mikey. "you just got out of the hospital and you are seriously going against [name] just for her to join toman?!"
a yawn escaped your lips.
you proceeded to walk away from mikey and draken who began to argue about the deal you had just made. you trotted towards takemichi who looked at you with extreme concern in his eyes.
"[name]-san, are you serious about this? you're going to fight against mikey-kun, the invincible mikey!" takemichi expressed his worries vocally.
you belted out a chuckle. "hey, michi. have you forgotten what i told you?"
"forgotten what?" takemichi blinked, confused.
"i used to take down gang leaders before, so what are you taking me for? i plan on taking down mikey, or at least get some fun out of it just like in the old days." with you shoveled your hands in the pockets of your oversized jacket.
"are you doubting me?" you quipped and immediately earned a shake of a head from him.
"n-no! i think you are just as skilled as him [name]-san. i'm just concerned for you that's all, you just got out of the hospital."
you could see why mikey and the rest of toman had taken a liking for the young boy. he might be weak to fighting and to women, but he had a good heart that genuinely cares for the people around him. with that, you reached your hand to him and gave his shoulder a pat.
"thank you for saving rie back then and for the genuine concern, michi. i appreciate it."
rie was going to kill you when she finds out about this deal and fight you impulsively arranged. it was a good thing she was absent today.
Tumblr media
midnight blue deepens over a broad and starlit sky. your silhouette wandered beneath the moonlight, making your way towards the tori gate and steps of stone. from a distance, faint whispers gradually became audible to your ears when you had finally reached the top.
from there, hundreds of gang members gathered before the musashi temple and adorned by their black and gold embroidered uniforms. a smile rose on your lips when they took notice of your presence; heads turning and eyes staring. their voices hushed down not long after you had began to stride towards the very front. the crowd broke in half, paving you a clear path towards your goal.
they all seemed to be mesmerized by the sound of your boots, clicking against the pavement along with your graceful yet powerful walk. head straight forward, you ignored their gaze and simply continued before halting at the commander of toman himself, sano manjiro. stood along side him was draken and to your surprise, yet again, takemichi was there.
you simply glanced at the three of them before turning your attention towards the hundreds of toman members.
"everyone, standing before you is [surname], [name] of st. ishiyama! as requested, toman will officiate and spectate her fight against the president." draken's voice boomed with authority. "two simple conditions will follow; if [name] wins against mikey, she will not join toman but if she loses, she will join toman."
whispers and murmurs filled the atmosphere at an instant. you could tell that they have mixed emotions at draken's statement. you knew some of them thought you were insane or were simply confused.
they had heard of you before, your name was literally rising to fame in the streets of tokyo. you were the female delinquent. you were the one who went head-to-head against moebius to avenge the girlfriend of the third division captain's friend.
"why is the leader fighting his girlfriend?" you caught onto one of their common murmurs. you had nearly forgotten that.
"lovers' quarrel maybe?"
"but, didn't draken say she's not under toman yet?"
they went on and on until draken's voice had boomed once again. his authoritative voice silenced the entire crowd.
"everyone silent! [name], mikey, get into place."
everyone circled you and mikey as soon as you and him strode down the steps. the two of you were about two meters away from each other when got into place. mikey took off the oversized toman jacket hanging on his shoulders and you rolled up the sleeves of your black blouse. you combed your hair and tied it in a ponytail with the hair tie adorning your wrist. you also made sure that the laces of your heeled, combat boots were tied. it'd be an embarrassment for you to trip and lose balance because of untied laces.
you widened your stance; legs kept apart, feet firmly on the ground and closed fists across your body. you huffed the lose strands falling on your face and straightened your posture.
"ready when you are." you glanced at mikey.
mikey cleared his throat and smiled, "ladies first."
and that was all you needed to hear.
you made a straightforward dash towards the blonde boy and just as you had expected, he lifted his leg to high roundhouse kick you. you immediately reacted on time, bringing a closed fist to block it. everyone watched in awe at your keen reflexes. you proceeded to grab his raised leg, pulling him close to you before ramming a fist to his jaw.
mikey kicked his other leg in the air, successfully sending you backwards and made you lose you hold onto his leg from the recoil. you regained composure and darted yourself to him once again.
you raised an arm on time when he threw a hefty punch at you, you caught his other punch the second time and twisted it before flipping yourself upside down, hooking your legs around his neck firmly and throwing him to the ground. unlike before, you failed to pin his arm down this time. mikey learned from the sambo-move you pulled on him during his first encounter with you. using his untamed strength, he flipped you over so he was on top instead of you.
his hand made its way your throat to pin you down and raised his other over his head to punch you. you kicked both of your legs, pushing him away from you and kicked yourself back up. you stroked the vicegrip he had on your throat seconds ago.
you threw yourself at him, hooking your legs around his chest and neck sent him spinning as he struggled to get you off him. you made your way behind his back, you brought an arm to lock him by the neck and repeatedly rammed your fists at his head. suddenly, he pushed his head towards you and successfully headbutted you. once your hold onto him loosened, you jumped off him but not before you kicked your legs square on his back and used him as a boost to back flip in the air.
once you landed back on your feet, you slid left and right, narrowly avoiding his kicks. you ducked right on time for another high roundhouse kick and found yourself an opening. you aimed a closed fist to his face. mikey brought both of his arms to block it, leaving his back wide open. with a triumphant smirk on your face, you pivoted your foot and rounded a kick on his back. mikey looked at you, stunned as he gasped at the harsh blow on his back.
"holy shit, she just feinted a frontal attack.." chifuyu, the first division vice captain, stared at you in shock with his mouth hanging agape.
takemichi finished chifuyu's sentence with the same look of awe plastered on his face. "to roundhouse kick mikey-kun!"
you proceeded to duck when mikey retaliated against you with a kick. from then on was a cycle of give and take of fists and kicks. the two of you were just as skilled with one another, it was almost impossible for any of you to outspeed or overpower the other. even if one of you happened to find an opening, the two of you would just easily turn the tables.
"so, this is the female delinquent of tokyo." baji watched your keen precision and reflexes. "no wonder moebius wanted her."
"she has an interesting fighting style too." mitsuya had decided to speak up, coming up with a good hypothesis from his observation.
"interesting?" takemichi asked, confused.
"yeah, [name] is attacking and defending at the same time. she uses a mix of sambo, systema and krav maga; a russian military self-defense and martial arts." mitsuya pointed out right on cue when you rammed an opened hand to his face while locking his raised leg with your other. "and right now, she's using krav maga against mikey."
you took a step back, catching your breath for a second. you were surprised at how mikey was able to catch up to you. clearly, he's a prodigy of his own martial art. the hand you were using to block his kicks was now aching. you might be skilled, but it doesn't mean you were actually invincible. you failed to stop this one kick and stumbled backwards from the recoil. you spat out blood to the side before wiping your lips.
his tornado kicks were no joke.
taking a sharp intake of air, you charged him head on once again. you already learned enough from his style. mikey obviously favors kicks more than punches. apart from that, he always aims directly for the uppermost part of the body and has lightning-fast reflexes.
you lifted your left leg, imitating his high roundhouse kick which mikey mirrored. as your legs clashed against each other, you reached your hands out and grabbed his locks of blonde hair before yanking him down to your right knee, lifting it as you dropped your left leg.
"shit, she got mikey." draken's eyes dilated at the sight of his best friend getting kneed in the face.
with your fingers still holding onto his hair, you yanked him his head up to see his half-lidded eyes. he was still conscious even after that. you clenched your free hand and aimed it directly towards his face, but to your surprise he caught it right on time. you released your hold onto his hair to raise your arm, deflecting the punch he threw right after.
at this point, both of your upper limbs were now aching from all the hits you took. but even so, you weren't the only who's gradually becoming tired. their leader was also beginning to get exhausted just as you.
the two invincible delinquents aren't so invincible after all.
you were shaken off from your thoughts when mikey made his next move. you stepped back as he darted towards you. you slid to left, simultaneously catching his fist. however, you failed to calculate the move that preceeded. the closed fist you caught opened and intertwined with yours. he twisted your arm behind your back and made you kneel with force.
you lifted your head up to at him with a smile adorning your face. he was impressive; he lasted more than ten minutes with you.
mikey's imposing and commanding aura drastically changed when a look of perplexity became evident instead.
what were you smiling about?
"i withdraw."
with that, an uproar of surprised looks and gasps echoed from the crowd. even mikey couldn't help but hang his mouth in agape from your statement.
"what?" mikey muttered.
the conditions you set meant nothing to you. you only made them just to get a taste of mikey's prowess and to analyze his attacks upclose because you knew he wouldn't agree to fight you and hold back.
obviously, he was holding back during your fight, but you paid no mind to it. you weren't exactly using your full concentration either because you didn't want to push your limits this time. you could have continued on with the fight; you still had a lot of fight left in you despite the ache in your limbs but you had just gotten out of the hospital and you knew rie would kill you if you let hell break loose. you didn't want to make your friend worry, so you ended it there.
either way, the fight wasn't a serious one. if anything you were just fighting for your pride; for the fun of it, nothing more.
mikey continued, still in a state of disbelief. "is this a trick? do you.. mean it?"
"i mean it, i withdraw from our fight." you pressed on, reiterating before releasing yourself from his hold to stand and dust your clothes off.
once you got up on your feet, mikey gently pulled you by the arm to stand next to him. he glanced at you for a second, before turning his attention towards everyone who spectated the fight.
"the second condition of [name] has been met." he began. "as stated by herself, she has withdrawn from our fight."
the moment you made the lives of the moebius members hell with your untamed strength, there was no turning back. you had already involved yourself into the delinquent life once again.
"starting today, [surname], [name] will now be a part of the first division, under baji, keisuke."
at first, you didn't want to affiliate yourself with tokyo manji gang. you've had quite the experience with gangs of men in the past. they paid no respect and would always look down upon you and your girls. it was a patriarchal, delinquent world. it was also the very reason you delved yourself into the delinquent life and carried on the motto, women protecting women, but seeing how they fought on your side and for their friends that day, you knew they weren't just any delinquents.
in fact, they reminded you of your girls.
you weren't going to regret this.
"it is an honor to be officially a part of toman. everyone, thank you for spectating our fight." you raised your head high and before your gaze fell onto the first division captain.
"baji, keisuke—i look forward to working with you!" you claimed next.
you were joined by the captain and his vice. baji peered down at you before placing a hand on the top of your head to give you a quick headpat as chifuyu glanced at you with a smile, "welcome to the first division, [name]-san."
this was going to be one hell of a rollercoaster ride.
you learned from rie that each division had their own purpose and the first division happened to be the attack unit, it was definitely a fitting role for someone like you who was a relentless and expert combatant.
after the fight took place at the musashi temple, toman had dispersed right after being dismissed. instead of walking home, you were persistently brought to the hospital (just as you had expected) by mikey because your arms were aching from the hits you took and much to your dismay, the hospital remembered you and him.
you ended up scowling at mikey the entire time because the nurse who treated you couldn't help but comment and coo at how sweet your boyfriend was to care for his girlfriend who always got into fights. if only the nurse knew who really mikey was, but you were too tired to say a thing. once you were patched up, you were given a couple of painkillers, ointment and was advised to get some rest—or more like told mikey to look after you which he cheekily agreed.
"when will you stop?" you groaned, walking outside with mikey trailing after you.
mikey laughed, "never! i told you so didn't i? you're my girlfriend now and more importantly, an official member of toman."
"aight, i'mma head out. my free trial as a toman member has ended." you rolled your eyes, scoffing before walking away only to get yanked back by mikey who tugged on your blouse from behind.
mikey told you with exaggeration. "didn't you hear what the nurse said? i'm looking after my girlfriend! i'm fetching you home."
reluctantly, you hopped onto his motorcycle and settling your feet onto the passenger pegs while grumbling "girlfriend my ass" under your breath. mikey hopped on not long after but before he pulled the two of you and his ride from the side, he turned his head over your shoulder and flicked your forehead—making you flinch for a second and look at him with confused, wide eyes.
"what was that for?"
you clasped a hand over your forehead as mikey playfully huffed a sharp exhale and retorted. "for saying stupid things."
"as if i'd ever let you go when i just got you."
with that, he smoothly pulled his babu into the road and whisked the two of you away. you leaned against the back his neck and held onto his shoulder instead of his waist, quietly rubbing your forehead and grumbled. but when you felt his warm hand interwined with your free one, you perked your head up and immediately pulled your hand away from his as a reflex which discreetly made him frown.
"so, why did you withdraw?"
mikey spoke up, momentarily gazing at you from the side mirror before returning his eyes at the road. "i've seen the way you fight, you could have taken me down even after i locked your arm."
you answered before closing your eyes to lean your head onto his back. "because i wanted to withdraw, now shush."
"wow, you've gone soft for me?" his laughter filled your ears as your touch sent sparks and warmth to his chest. "have i finally caught your interest, [name]-chan?"
perhaps you were going to regret this after all.
"i'm going to jump off your motorcycle, manjiro."
"hey! at least call me mikey if you're gonna do it!"

recently got back into tumblr and wanted to say i love your blog!! i found out a few months ago that gou isn't universally liked and i was like??? "why?? he's such a good boi 🥺" and so the satogou & gou-suport on your blog really makes me happy! thank you for your contribution 💛
Aww, thank you so much!! 🥺💖 This pairing and these characters (Gou/Goh in particular) really means a lot to me, so it always makes me happy to write about them and put together themed blog posts, and such. I'm glad that it makes you happy, too! 😊
I don't have an issue with Goh not being universally liked. No one has to like a character and sometimes the character just doesn't click with someone. That's fine. There are Pokémon characters that I myself don't care for, so I get it. That's not what I have a problem with.
What bothers me is the unfair treatment and the blatant lies about Goh that are just objectively wrong because of evidence in the episodes themselves that renders the arguments invalid. Those lies spread, and people start to believe the lies without coming to their own conclusions. People start to hate Goh based on what they've heard about him and how people talk about him, not based on how he's presented in the anime.
Take episode 59, the episode Goh catches Grookey. Back when the episode aired and to this day, people called Goh a thief, equating him to Team Rocket and Pokémon poachers. This is factually wrong yet that doesn't stop websites like Gamerant from putting forward this flawed argument: "Capturing Grookey for himself even though he belonged to Jessie goes against the moral code of Pokémon training, regardless of the situation."
That's just all kinds of stupid. No, really, it just is. It makes Goh out to be this immoral, selfish character that will stop at nothing to accomplish his goal. So we're just going to argue that a Pokémon is a piece of property that belongs to someone and has to stay with that someone regardless of how that Pokémon feels or how that person treats the Pokémon. Yeah, that sounds like a perfectly moral position to take. And let's just ignore Grookey chose to leave Jessie, despite the evidence in the episode, because acknowledging that would totally detract from the disingenuous point the writer is pushing here and wants readers to believe/share on social media.
I asked this before and I'll ask it again: so if Goh is a thief, Ash is too, right? Remember Charmander? I did a comparison clip a couple months back, and I ask again, what's the difference:
dailymotion
So going by the logic put forth, Charmander should've stayed with Damian too, because we're holding Ash to the same "standard" here, right? No, of course not, and the whole "regardless of the situation" argument is a terrible and dangerous one because it can be used to justify almost any kind of behavior.
The same article (and something that gets repeated ad nauseam) is that Goh treats his Pokémon as objects that are a part of a collection and that he doesn't care if his Pokémon rot in Cerise Park. Really? So I guess my photoshop skills are better than I give myself credit for since these scenes totally don't exist in any episode of the anime:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Do we really need a scene in every episode that shows Goh feeding, playing with, and just overall caring for his Pokémon? No, because a fair-minded person that isn't trying to push a false narrative would agree that the anime has given us more than enough scenes inside and outside of Cerise Park that show Goh's love for his Pokémon is just as strong as Ash's, or any of Ash's previous companions. This also extends to Pokémon that were wild at the time too. Goh loves all Pokémon, as I show here.
On a similar note, do we really need a scene in every episode where Goh battles a Pokémon before catching it? There is nothing wrong with Goh's catching style. It's absolutely legitimate. Pokémon GO!, Pokémon Let's Go Pikachu/Eevee, and Pokémon: Legends Arceus all allow Pokémon to be captured without battling. It's a game mechanic that is now part of the anime, and to say that Goh doesn't work for or earn his captures when this is now common place in the mainline games and highly popular app isn't fair to his character. I guess anyone that plays one of the aforementioned games and catches a Pokémon without weakening it had it handed to them on a silver platter too, right (never mind the fact that there are factors involved like the timing/angle of the throw)?
Again though, it's a misrepresentation of his character that you'll see get tossed around online that Goh, unlike past female traveling companions, doesn't have to work toward his goal when he has everything handed to him (and gets no character development in the process). People still talk about how a legendary (Suicune) was given to him, another disingenuous take intended to get people to dislike Goh by saying how he was given a legendary ahead of Ash, the much more experienced trainer. I talk about that in detail here but I'll summarize my points:
The reason Goh was able to catch Suicune was because it was already significantly weakened. It had been purifying the polluted lake water repeatedly (on top of roaming the world and purifying other bodies of water), so logically, that in itself weakened it somewhat. Then, it endured multiple attacks by the Pokémon Hunters Pokémon. On top of that, it was poisoned. By game logic, attacking and inflicting a status ailment like poison makes a Pokémon easier to catch. Plus, it had ropes around it, causing it to deplete more of its strength as it struggled to escape, when Goh rescued (yes, rescued) Suicune with a Pokéball.
Goh later on cares for Suicune's injuries, provides it food, and watches over it while it begins to recover. Suicune then sees Goh (and Ash) take a stand against the very people that hurt it and have been contaminating the lake, plus making the forest and water Pokémon sick. Suicune saw that Goh was willing to put his life on the line as the Houndoom came for him. Suicune could see that Goh didn't only care for it, and the forest Pokémon, but Ash as well as he shoved Ash out of the away to protect him from Houndoom.
Why is it that hard to believe Suicune saw Goh as someone with a pure heart, and as someone that only has good and noble intentions? Suicune could very easily see Goh as a force for good in the world and want him for a partner to help rid the world of people like the Pokémon Hunters. Suicune chose to go with Goh because Goh earned its trust and respect. By no means was Goh just handed it without hardship, without forming a bond with it. I thought that was a part of what Pokémon is supposed to be about.
Sadly, that's not even all of it. Again, if a person doesn't like Goh, or any other character for that matter, that's fine. When a person engages in character assassination though, that's when they lose all credibility. It's those that hate the character that have been allowed to shape the overall perception of Goh in the eyes of many in the fandom, even those that regularly watch the anime. I think Goh would be a lot more popular if people didn't lie about his character (which they do for various reasons, but I won't go into because those would be assumptions on my part).
And while I may sound like an unapologetic 100% Goh stan, I do in fact have opinions as to how the character could've been handled better up to this point and if anyone wants to hear my thoughts on that subject, feel free to ask.
I'm happy though that my blog can be an escape from all of that for you, and for others. I'll happily continue to post and share content, and I still have hope, still believe, there's at least a decent chance that Goh will remain a part of the anime come November. It would make me truly happy to see this wonderful character be given more time to grow and shine, as well as brighten our lives. 💖

🍁✨Autumn Troupe Headcanons!✨🍁
Hooray for more uncensored swearing! Sorry, this took so long! It’s hard to think of things for the Autumn Troupe since I don’t know them super well!
🍁🧡Banri Settsu🧡🍁
Whenever it's time for practice, Banri begins by smacking the back of Juza's head! (Not super hard, but enough for it to piss him off)
Diluc main, that is all. Before he got Diluc he was an Amber main, and somehow was good. Still uses her every once in a while!
Slightly intimidated by languages sometimes, I dunno how to explain it, so hopefully the dialogue does!
“Banri, come here for a second.”
“Hell no, I’m in the middle of a match right now.”
“Banri.”
“Sit your ass down and wait, Chikage! I’m busy!”
"Halika dito! Huwag kang humintay na papatayin kita at iwanan kitang dumugo sa lansangan! Inumin ng mga aso ang iyong dugo at kukunin ng mga uwak ang iyong laman. Gusto mo yan?!" ("Come here! Don't wait for me to kill you and leave you bleeding in the street! Dogs will drink your blood and crows will take your flesh. Do you want that ?!" ) I'm unsure of the translation, since the filipino was from Irumaaaaa_saaaaamaaaaa's comment on my Ao3! I just put it into google translate
“Damn! Fine, fine, I’m comin! Chill out!”
His older sister gave him a leopard plushie when he was a kid, which is why he’s fucking obsessed with animal prints!
Plays drums and almost broke the coffee table because he “jammed too hard” on it!
Constantly messing up Taichi’s hair, or he’s drumming to songs on his head.
*boom boom bap boom boom bap*
“Buddy, you're a boy, make a big noise, playing in the street, gonna be a big man someday! You got mud on your face, you big disgrace! Kicking your can all over the place, singin'-”
“We will, we will rock you!”
“Haha! Hell yeah!”
🍁💜Juza Hyodo💜🍁
Likes carrying Muku or Kumon on his shoulders! Sometimes they still parade around!
“Are you sure about this, Ju-chan?”
“Yeah, you’re real light, y’know.”
“What the hell are you doing, Hyodo? Practice is soon.”
Chews on things a lot when he’s nervous! He always has gum or a lollipop to avoid chewing on his shirt, his nails and other inedible things!
Uses shorter Mankai members as an armrest, but only the ones who are okay with it! He’s polite like that.
On nights where he just can’t sleep, he’ll go on walks or drive around on his motorcycle!
Terrible with eye contact and looking like he’s paying attention. Sakyo has to snap his fingers at him to make sure he’s listening!
Y’know the awkward sibling hug from Gravity Falls, he and Kumon have done that...a lot. It’s not actually awkward though, they just liked the show!
“Awkward sibling hug?”
“...Awkward sibling hug.”
*embrace*
“...pat, pat.”
....
“Hyodos, what the hell?”
🍁💖Taichi Nanao💖🍁
Cried twice when he got his piercings, the first time was because he was very, very afraid, the second time was because he was so happy that he looked good with them!
Has Heelys! One time, he tried to 'heely' into the rehearsal room, but he immediately fell over!
Plays the ukulele! He wanted to play guitar because he saw someone serenading their partner with it at school! He borrowed Masumi's guitar but bar chords suck and his hands are kinda small, so he settled for the uke!
"Aghhh! How do you play that! That hurts my fingies!"
"I have bigger hands and more experience."
"But you're only like an inch taller than me!"
"Height doesn’t really have anything to do with this."
Has a Tiktok! He doesn't post often, it's more for looking at memes or sick outfits. (He does the dances though! He's pretty good at them but they're all in his drafts since he's not super confident in them!)
Y’know how kids crawl up the stairs really fast. He does that. Constantly. Kazunari joins in, sometimes. It pisses Sakyo off a lot, but he gave up on trying to get them to stop.
"Taicchan, what are you doing?"
"Kazu-kun! I got the zoomies!"
"Nice! Can I join ya?"
"For sure!"
*Rapid thumping up the stairs*
"Aren't you gonna stop them, Sakyo?"
"...If I had that ability, they would've stopped a long time ago. Those idiots don't listen."
He LOVES Sk8 The Infinity! Langa's his favourite character! He's also probably a Reki kinnie!
🍁💙Omi Fushimi💙🍁
(It's blue like his regular shirt and Tumblr doesn't have any other colours ;-;)
Despite being tone-deaf, he hums a lot when he cooks! No one seems to mind it!
Enjoys scrapbooking! He kind of prefers scrapbooks to albums, since scrapbooks have a more homemade vibe, you know?
Gives the best hugs, and tends to hold hands with the younger members when they cross the street!
Regularly has this conversation!
“Banri, have you eaten?”
“I dunno Omi, have YOU eaten?”
“...I have. But that's not what I’m concerned about.”
“...I had a granola bar like, an hour ago.”
“...I’m making you something.”
When he first joined the company, he took notes on what everyone liked and didn't like to eat, plus if they had allergies! He still has it, he just doesn't need to use it anymore!
I feel like something like this has happened once!
“Ah, Omi! Can you help me grab something?”
“Oh, sure. What do you need, Sakuya?”
“Homare asked me to get some of that tea, but I can’t rea-”
*lifts Sakuya like Simba*
“Ah! Omi, haha! What are you doing?”
“Sorry, I couldn’t help it! Do you want me to stop?”
“Oh, no, it’s fine! It’s kinda fun actually.”
🍁💛Sakyo Furuichi💛🍁
Absolutely blind without his glasses, like it’s really bad. He walked into a doorframe without his glasses. Thankfully, no one noticed (he thinks).
He has a bit of bubble-wrap in his a pocket all the time and sometimes he uses it as a threat! (Hopefully that made sense...)
“Settsu, move over.”
“I literally can’t! Your fat ass is taking too much space!”
*pop*
“Just scoot your lazy ass over.”
*pop*
“I can’t I already-”
*pop*
“...Alright, I get it! I’ll shut up! Jeez, how is that so threatening...”
“...Asshole.”
*pop*
“...Sorry.”
Definitely told Azami that Santa wasn’t real when he was like 6.
Sakoda got him a mug that said #1 Dad but he crossed it out and replaced ‘Dad’ with ‘Aniki’! Sakyo still drinks out of it, sometimes!
Azami also made him a friendship bracelet when he was a lot younger. Sakyo doesn’t wear it (because it doesn’t fit him anymore) but he still has it! He likes rubbing the beads between his fingers.
Good at trivia! Like, really good. He somewhat enjoys Trivia Murder Party. (I just watched a play through and skipped to a random question, I have no idea if it’s actually hard lol.)
“Which body of water connects the Mediterranean Sea to the Atlantic Ocean?”
“Wh- How are we supposed to know that?!”
*Sakyo answers ‘The Strait of Gibraltar’ and is the only one who answers correctly*
“Fuck, my thumb slipped.”
“That shouldn’t be allowed. Sakyo’s shitty and old, he shouldn’t be able to know and remember things.”
“Oi, brat. I’m not that old. You’re not the one who got the answer right.”
“You’re not the one who literally never learned this!”
🍁❤️Azami Izumida❤️🍁
Has smacked too many cans/cups out of Itaru and Tsuzuru’s hands!
“Wh-”
“Drink actual water. And jeez, go take a nap or something. Your skin is even worse than I thought it could get. Aren’t you supposed to be the responsible one in the Spring Troupe?”
“Ah... I guess, you are right. Thanks for looking out for me.”
“W-well! W-we can’t have you on stage looking like a raisin! S-so!”
Often criticizes Izumi’s eyeliner and ends up just doing it for her. N-not that he minds or anything!
Played Love Nikki at some point, I do not take that much criticism.
Because I think the troupe/play themes are canon, he definitely helped with Shake the Shape and wrote some of RESPAWN!
Always has extra hair ties on him, even though most of the others don’t really need them. Most of the time, the hair ties end up being used for...other purposes.
“Ready.”
“What?”
“Aim.”
“Azami, I swear to whatever god is listening, if you fire that elasti-”
“Fire.”
“...You shitty brat-”
“Oh shi-”
Part of the ‘wears nail polish’ squad! He hates stickers. (Most of the time they somehow fall off) His go-to is an alternating pattern of black and red.

YO 12. animeys that should get more attention? (this may or may be not me also asking for recs lol)
THANK YOU FOR AN ASK! Alright I love that I'm already blanking on this when I spent 99% of my time yelling at my friends to watch things, lol. I'll do my best to give out good recommendations though!
(This is in no particular order)
1. The Duke of Death and His Black Maid
THIS SHOW. Okay so this is an anime that is airing this season (Summer 2021) that I didn't expect to like. It has a lot of what people consider "fanservice" but after reading most of the manga and seeing how the anime handles it, I don't really consider it to be "for the fans"? The plot is that the firstborn son of this rich family in a Victorian-like era has been cursed by a witch since he was a young boy that any organism he touches, even through fabric like gloves or clothes, will die. Because of this, he has been sentenced to living alone at a separate estate with only two servants, an old man who has been serving the family for generations, and the boy's childhood friend who is now his maid. It's a romantic comedy with a good focus on the actual mystery of it's story, trying to find the witch who cursed the boy nearly a decade later and get her/or find a way to undo it. The reason I brought up the fanservice issue before is that the story starts off with the Duke and his maid, Alice, already in a relationship, or having confessed their feelings, and since Alice knows she cannot touch the Duke, she likes to "tease" him from afar. Despite normally disliking shows where characters "flash" themselves, in this case I find that it is done with a purpose in this series as it helps shape the Duke and Alice's relationship. Don't get me wrong, sometimes there are scenes where I'm like "really? Did we need this?" but that's rare. The anime is CGI which is another reason I think people are staying away from it, but believe me, do not let the CGI discourage you. It does have some animation issues with its background characters, but the CG for the main characters combined with the backgrounds that look like they were storybook pages painted on a canvas make for a very enchanting world. The story of the Duke and Alice continues to surprise me and melt my heart and if you go and read through the manga since the anime likely won't adapt all of it, you are in for one very good, well thought out mystery involving witches and magic.
2. Servamp
This is sadly going to be another series where I'll say "go read the manga if you want more!" because it was a 12 episode adaption a few years ago so there is a SLIM chance of there being a season 2, but I don't think it's out of the question. (The anime aired in 2016 and the author went on hiatus in 2017 and it's a monthly series so releases are slow- I could see them doing another season when the manga finishes MAYBE???) Anyway- Servamp is a vampire manga published in a Shoujo magazine, however, despite the how it may look at first glance, I don't think anyone should be lumping this show into some title like "Tumblr Fangirl Fujoishi Bait" (I'm using this term because I'm mad that an anituber I like used it when talking about another vampire anime, Vanitas no Carte). Servamp DOES have an almost all male cast (the almost because the female characters don't appear until later or are side characters in the manga), but I truly feel like you could read this series and be able to enjoy it from a non-romantic relationship perspective, or at least a relationship without labels and just people who trust one another deeply.
Guess I should summarize now: This is a very trope heavy story in certain ways. Mahiru is a high schooler who just likes things "simple" and will repeat this theme throughout the story, but of course his simple life gets thrown out the window when he adopts a stray cat and names it, unaware that he has picked up a vampire, a SPECIAL type of vampire. Servamps are seven vampires all based off the seven deadly sins, and are essentially the "top" vampires or the origins of all other vampires (lesser ones are their subclasses), and are actually humanoid and only turn into their animal forms when in sunlight. Servamp stands for "Servant + Vampire", and this is because once they form a contract with a human, their "eve", they can drink their blood but have to obey their orders. In the story, this translates to Kuro, the Servamp of Sloth, being forced to help Mahiru with situations he would rather not deal with, such as a war between vampires when a mysterious 8th Servamp, Tsubaki, appears and starts causing chaos.
I may sound sarcastic, but I genuinely really like this series, so I feel like I can joke about it. What I've realized while re-reading the manga is that while the anime does rush through the plot (trying to cover as many things from each volume as it can) it seems like the anime chose to focus on the relationship between Kuro & Mahiru more than the mystery and fight with Tsubaki (which they knew in 12 episodes they couldn't cover/complete anyway since it was just starting). Kuro is the eldest Servamp and as you watch you learn he has the most sins on his shoulders, and his attitude of "it's too much of a pain" to get out of explaining anything to Mahiru or warning him about what he knows helps the story of course in that everything is a new surprise (like that there are people who can use magic in the world too, or that there is a neutral organization that has always existed between vampires and humans), but it also helps to build his character, acting as a wall he puts up to not face his past. And when I said this series is trope heavy, again do not take that as a negative. I always LOVE when I read a series and think "wow, this is such a common thing. I swear I've seen this EXACT story done before" but then realize I CANNOT think of what it may be copying, because the story I just read did everything perfectly/outdid any comparison. I don't know if it's in the anime or not, but Misono, the Eve of Lust, and his full character arc was perhaps my FAVORITE thing in the entire series.
Lastly, while Servamp doesn't stand out with it's paneling, as in its no CSM or WHA or HnK in making full use of it's panels to elevate its story into a higher art or something, the series does take advantage of its manga medium well. (I know this post is about anime but let me have this). And I think this is only something you will notice if you (obviously) read it and really are into it. The anime does a good job though adapting the unique art style of Strike Tanaka though, and I still love the ending theme and how all the Eves and Servamps dance, even if the animation isn't like Kekkai Sensen's ending, it's still charming and I go back and watch it to this day. Again, this is a vampire manga, but even though half the time there is one dude biting the other dude, it's not a focus of the series with close ups on characters like "reacting" to the bites or anything, so I think that's why the relationship with Kuro and Mahiru doesn't feel like it's being baited or anything. More often than not Kuro DOESN'T want to drink blood because it means he has to fight, which makes it a much easier read/watch than if you decided to put on something like Diabolik Lovers.
3. Barakamon
This is an anime that is SUPER close to my heart. I think the manga keeps going but this is a single cour anime that you can just consume and move on from, the story is wrapped up really nicely by the ending. I like to group this series into the category of “refreshing” or “healing” anime, and it’s definitely something to watch during the summer to get you into that mood of longing to live or move to an island (or just the Japanese countryside).
Barakamon is about a young calligrapher, Handa Seishu, who gets pissed about what the judge at the calligraphy competition said about his work and punched the guy. Due to the incident, his father forced Handa to move to a small village on a remote island in Japan so he could “cool his head”. While Handa is intent to do just that and focus on working on his next big calligraphy piece, he unfortunately has to deal with everyone on the island bothering him, on behalf of the fact that it is rare they get a “city boy” and also that all the children just find Handa the “cool adult” who is fun to tease. The series is mainly focused on Handa and his friendship with a child named Naru, who always is breaking into his house and then making him follow after her. Despite his initial annoyance, Handa ends up finding the inspiration he needs through his time on the island and the experiences he shares with all these characters.
This is a very relaxing series with comedic moments, but it is truly heartwarming and the music is AMAZING. The opening is still one of my top of all time, it actually helped me discover one of my favorite Japanese bands, and the ending is done in a beautiful watercolor animation style that compliments the emotion of the song so well. As a bonus, the children are voiced by actual children! (At least Naru is, I recall).
4. Natsume Yuujinchou/Natsume’s Book of Friends
Okay. So if you follow me you have seen me post about this anime. If Barakamon was an example of the “refreshing/healing” genre of anime then Natsume Yuujinchou is one of the poster children for it. If you like stories about yokai and Japanese folklore, this show has it. If you like stories where a kid has the ability to see said yokai/spirits and is orphaned and thus misunderstood and passed around through households and implied to have been abused/neglected until he finally ends up at the one place he can call home and must begin the slow healing process to learn to trust and let people help and care for him, then THIS IS THE SERIES FOR YOU.
I first heard about this series when it’s 6th season was airing. I believe I saw it listed in Anichart but because I hadn’t watched the other seasons yet, I ignored it. Then in school, a girl who found out I liked anime mentioned the title to me, but I didn’t recognize it. THEN, I watched the OVAs for The Ancient Magus Bride and saw the premiere of that anime in theaters, and sought out shows with a similar premise (character can see spirits and is orphaned, etc.) and saw Natsume Yuujinchou appear in the recommendations.
And now it is one of my favorite series of all time.
I basically summarized it before, lol. This is a very episodic “monster of the week” series following a high school boy, Natsume Takashi, who can see yokai and has lived his whole life tormented by them. He didn’t understand why until one day he discovers a notebook left behind by his grandmother, Natsume Reiko, which is full of names of yokai. Thus, Natsume discovers through the help of a lucky cat yokai, whose true form is a very powerful spirit, nicknamed Nyanko-Sensei, that Reiko took the names of all the yokai she beat and wrote them down, which would have given her power over all of them. Because she died without returning their names, all the yokai have been coming after Natsume mistaking HIM for his grandmother. The story focuses on each episode a new yokai comes to Natsume asking for their name back, or they enlist him in helping them on some task, like finding another spirit who they were separated from, or delivering a message to a human they loved. This is a series that I swear by as one that will “almost make you cry every episode, but never go far enough”. But that could have just been me- it certainly does feel less of a monster of the week anime when every episode you manage to connect with each new spirit to the point that you feel their sadness and anguish. This pain is doubled on episodes focused soley on Natsume’s past or how his foster parents, the Fujiwaras, came to learn about him, or how his friends managed to help him open up.
Like I said, as of right now, there are SIX seasons of this show. There are two movies, but only one is available to be found translated I think (thanks to wonderful people in this fandom). I’m certain with it’s popularity in Japan, and since the second film came out this year, it will probably get a seventh season or SOMETHING. Also, like Barakamon, this is a series that is known for it’s ending themes being animated in watercolor. Likewise, the music in this series is fantastic, but again, the main draw to me is the story of Natsume and just seeing him over the course of the show gain friends, learn to trust, and learn to not fear being sent away again or neglected anymore now that he lives with people who love him.
5. Mairimashita! Iruma-kun!/Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun!
Okay, this! So this is an anime with two seasons right now, and if it gets a third and fourth it will beat My Hero Academia’s Festival arc is all I will say about the manga. This is a show that at first glance you might have seen people say “oh it’s got Blue Deku”, but please believe me. Iruma is not just a copy of Deku from BNHA. He is a very well written character with his own struggles that are completely different from Deku.
This show is kind of an isekai? Only in technicality. The story follows Suzuki Iruma, Age 14 (fans of the series will realize I sound like I have the opening narration memorized from that). His entire life he was used by his parents to earn money, forced to do every odd job imaginable and barely in school or barely able to enjoy life. Despite this, he is a cheery, optimistic human who of course, is unable to say no. I say human because Iruma’s parents finally decide to just sell him to make money, and end up selling him to a demon, who instead of eating him or his soul, asks to adopt Iruma as his grandson so he can brag to his other older friends about him. Iruma accepts to escape the life and death situation and ends up enrolled in Babyls, the school that his grandfather is the chairman of. This series follows Iruma as he makes friends at school, learns how to just be a kid and that it’s okay to live and do what he wants (similar to Natsume but with a much more cheery filter over it, hiding the sad moments so your unsuspecting), and also the mystery about what happened to previous Demon King who went missing one day, and who is qualified to fill the throne (and isn’t there a mysterious legend about the next demon king coming from another world and making allies of everyone...?)
I joke about it being an isekai but it’s not really. It just is when you think about it, it falls into that category since Iruma does get “spirited away” in a sense. The real fun of this series is that no one can know Iruma is a human or they will eat him, and so he constantly must hide that, and as the series goes on we delve into more serious aspects of what being a human in the netherworld means, such as what the actually consequences would be if he was found out and returned to his world, and ideas that demons can be the most human, but sometimes humans can be the most evil or demon-like people of all. This is a series that is still relatively underground outside of Japan since it has not had an official English release yet and gets overshadowed heavily by BNHA, but DO NOT SLEEP ON IT. It is starting to rise quickly with season 2 finishing up it’s airing soon, and once it blows up I guarantee it will blow up.
Thank you for the ask! You can probably notice a trend across all my recommendations and see the type of stories I go for but I tried to recommend series that all have a different tone despite similarities, so I hope if you do check any of them out you find one you enjoy!
