shea please consider a drabble on shy!reader calling rafe ‘dad’ for the first time. AH I NEED

last one before bed.. ♡

it started off as a little joke, the word coming to mind because of the way rafe always talked to you, urging you to be more careful and looking out for you.

"put that shit away, c'mon. you'll be up all night and then you won't let me sleep either," he says, when you point in the direction of the coffee shop and pull out your wallet. he drags you away, a pout taking over your pretty face.

"okay, dad," you tease, though it doesn't come out like a joke this time. it comes out sincerely, agreeing immediately, putting your wallet away even though you don't want to.

"yeah, that's right. listen to dad." you stop in your tracks, a few feet away from rafe's truck, brain starting to go haywire and fuzzy. rafe stops and turns, looking back at you stuck in place. "hm?"

"dad?" you question, repeating it, enjoying the feel of it on your tongue. rafe smiles at you, smirking and laughing, so you smile too. you don't know that you've just created a monster.

"yes?" he asks, stalking towards you and taking your face into his hands. "don't go stupid on me now, kid."

"sorry, dad. can't help it." you feel uncomfortable, wetness pooling between your legs, heart thudding fast. maybe it was wrong, maybe it was weird, but you didn't care in that moment.

"get in the truck," rafe orders, and you comply, darting back to the door and hand on the handle to open the passenger side door. "nope. the back. wanted a treat right? dad's gonna give it to ya."

Watching the Loki series is like watching an endless gag reel. It's so bad it's surreal. Loki doesn't feel like Loki. That's not Loki. It's like we're watching Tom Hiddleston just flail and flop around in a bad suit. He reminds me, (and someone else also pointed this out, I can't remember who), of the Edgar suit in Men In Black. And I can't help but wonder if that was a conscious decision Tom made, to act like a possessed, reanimated corpse? We'll never know, of course, but every time I see video clips and gifs, I just see the Edgar suit and if it wasn't so laughable, I could cry.

I completely agree. I couldn't even get through season 1 tbh. And I'd thought ragnarok was bad and out of character...

My advice would be to avoid it completely. I've got the tags blocked, I don't look at the new content and just stick to the original. It truly makes me so sad for the entire fandom, to see such complex and deeply interesting character destroyed and stripped of his very essence. I've been a fan of Loki and the characters from the Thor movies since 2011 and hyperfixated big time. I won't let some disney bullshit ruin that. It helped me through the hardest times of my life and I see parts of myself in the personalities of the characters, having grown up with it being a safe place. It even inspired me to find interest in the norse mythology despite it being so different. I read numerous books and studies on it and I feel like you can catch little glimpses of it in the original franchise.

Sadly, it feels like Tom is so out of touch with who he is supposed to be portraying. I hope this is the result of a contract and not entirely his own input. Although, I'm worried that might be my wishful thinking.

I was studying the soundtrack of Thor 2 the other day and how much thought went into it and it made me weep internally. Brian Tyler studied the characters' personalities and brought that into what he crafted. It was full of care. He even named one track Lokasenna, which if you don't know, is the name of a poem belonging to the poetic Edda and is about the conflict between Loki and the Aesir (asgardians). I also love how the og Thor franchise had the recurrent theme of light & shadow. Returning back to the brian tyler vid- the theme he was talking about is named Shadows of Loki.

Now, compare it with what we got in the last years (sth that feels like a very badly written fanfic). That is just a single example.

For me, the ending of Thor 2 is the end of canon and I am writing my very extensive continuation. It's the best ending we could have gotten in terms of fanwork because it's an open ending. A still in-character-ending.

The series feels wrong, it feels like utter mockery and I'm not here for it. With that said, my blog is a safe space for everyone who feels like this or gets bullied by the new "fanbase" (yes that happens)

💚 The second you join the Heart Pirates, Shachi and Penguin were the first to properly make the Polar Tang feel like home. Your incredibly shy nature made them a little overprotective of you, but you didn't mind, simply giggling off their antics with a wave of your hand in apology.

💚 For some reason, Shachi always had a habit of making you jump and screech, laughing like a psycho as he ran away from you, your hidden anger bursting through every time. You caught him one time, and he definitely regretted it that day, even going so far to keep distance for a few days. You were shocked at how much it hurt you, frowning at lunch and dinner times when he sat at another table on the other side of the room.

💚 You cornered him after dinner after the fourth day, huffing and pouting as you asked, "Why are you being such a friggin' butthead?!" He choked on his words with an anxious laugh, his face bright red as he rubbed the back of his head. "Uh- I, ah-" He couldn't stand how fucking adorable you were, especially when you were upset. You always spoke so softly, your meek and shy nature not seeming to fit you even though you owned it with a large smile. "I'm sorry?" You just rolled your eyes and walked away, leaving a flustered Shachi to watch you leave with an embarrassed groan.

💚 You sat next to him at breakfast and you could have gone blind at how bright his smile was, his cheeks tinted pink as he exclaimed, "There's my little mouse! So glad you could join us!" Your own cheeks burned as you dug into your food, choosing to ignore him instead. You only froze when his hand landed on your thigh, giving it a slight squeeze before settling, your eyes wide as your dissociated for a good minute. His hand only moved when Penguin called him out, "Oi, stop breakin' the poor girls' brain!"

💚 Shachi always talked your ear off during overnight command watch, the two of you having to keep the Tang from ending up eaten by a Sea King. "You want a coffee or something?" You shook your head but asked instead, "Hot chocolate?" After that, Shachi would always have a cup ready for you the second you walked in, your fingers brushing as you took the cup from him with a small smile, cheeks pink. You swat his hand away as he tries to poke your cheeks, huffing with a puff as you both make yourselves comfortable in your own seats.

💚 The first time you experienced a Sea King, you were just about to end your shift, 5 am hitting as your bed called to you. You and Shachi rose and yawned, your peripherals taking him in as he removes his sunglasses to rub at his eyes. You can't help but think how handsome he is, heart racing as you rub at your own face before going to grab your mug. You suddenly scream as the Tang is suddenly hit, your body thrown into Shachi, who moves faster than you'd ever seen to catch you. His back hits the side of the sub, and his breath leaves him, his grip tightening around you as Law scrambles into the command center. He summons a Room and Shambles' the monster away, glancing down at both of you the moment it's safe. Giving you both a once over before pulling out his personal den den mushi, he began calling everyone he could on the ship for damage control as he walked away. You shook in Shachis grasp, his own shaky breath brushing over your ear as he groans out, "You good, mouse?" You give a shaky nod before burying your face into his jumper. You stay there for as long as you could, only moving when your replacements walked in.

You just got into your PJs when there was a knock on your door. You opened it with a slight frown only to gasp softly when you saw Shachi standing there, looking a little ragged and nervous. You opened the door fully and let him in, closing it behind him and joining him to sit on your bed.

You sat cross-legged, reaching out to lightly punch his shoulder as you ask nervously, "W-What's going on, Shach? You okay?"

He doesn't speak for a while, simply sitting on the edge of the bed close to you with twiddling thumbs, chewing his bottom lip with sharp teeth. When he does finally speak, his face is bright red.

"I... was scared you got hurt, Y/N. I just needed to come make sure you were good."

You give a soft laugh and he turns to you, grinning when he sees your cheeks are just as red.

"Yeah, I'm okay. Do you need a hug?"

He nods and pulls you to him, giving you no notice as you're pulled to his lap, your legs on either side of him. He removes his glasses and buries his face into your chest, ignoring your sounds of protest as he breathes you in. You groan in embarrassment before letting your hands rest on his head, fingers running through his hair under his hat.

He groans into your breasts and you suck in a sharp breath, eyes wide as his hands wander to your ass, fingers gripping as a hardness grows under you. You press your lips into a tight line as you bite back a moan, knowing your shorts were already soaked.

"Y/N, I can't hold back anymore, I need you."

You squeak in shock, your eyes still wide as you meet his half-lidded gaze, desire written across his face.

I really like how you did the dynamics in the ghoap x reader fic. I expected you to portray Simon as super rough all around but was pleasantly surprised at how he was rather soft with reader (ya know, aside from the whole kidnapping thing), especially with her aftercare and how he cleaned her up in the bathroom.

And Johnny, calling her “his baby” 🥺 wanting to give her all the soft things in life, just pamper her and love her and obsess over her. man was down bad the instant he saw her, huh. just had to have her.

Anyways yeah, I’m probably unhealthily obsessed with that fic, especially with the dark themes 😳 I just think you handled the dynamic in such an interesting way, and would love to see more if it’s something you’re gonna explore further down the line.
