UGH I wanna write an alter-egos fic where Batman and Joker and Bruce and Jack get together. Only neither of them know the others' secret identity. Which means, Bruce is cheating on Jack as Batman with Joker. And Joker is cheating on Batman as Jack with Bruce.

Hey so about fictional newyork?

All the mutants, mutates, freaks, geeks, sneaks, and geniuses seem to congregate this big small area without really overlaping all that much even when the characters are owned by the same company.

And that's just not fun enough.

Please keep in mind that I had no access to comics as a child. l have not had the opportunity yet to get my hands on comics now to gorge myself on and am MOST familiar with the old 80s/90s cartoons/shows and subsequent movies.

I am aware that the marvel movies are having heros occupy the same space in cinema. I'm aware of the spiderverse and even got to watch the 1st movie. I'm even aware that in more recent years (I think?) There was an official animated movie special that had Batman and the teenage mutant ninja turtles working together.

But I have yet to hear of any such thing for the TMNT meeting Spider-Man. And that's just wasted opportunity in my opinion.

So I wanted to ask my fellow fanfic readers (and fanfic writers if you see this)

Can ya recommend me a cool Spideypool fic that has the fantastic four, avengers, x -men acknowledged to exist and interact as friends. Team red being a thing and Spider-Man being one of the few to know the TMNT are real and works with them periodically as well as learned additional fighting skills from them with them helping to train his spidey sense some with their ninja skills. And Spidey in turn has 4 additional hero friends he can be himself with and they know who he is(who they gonna tell? Plus they keep distant surveillance on his loved ones for him) and were even introduced to his loved ones as a safety measure. Everyone likes Aunt May, Mikey especially likes the treats and trinkets she always has on hand to give them when they secretly visit her when Peter is too busy to so she isn't too lonely.

I basically wanna read a fic where Spider-Man grew into his heroism with 4 ninja turtle friends no one knew about. As an adult he managed to make his own punloving team in team red. Has worked to slowly introduce TMNT to other accepting allies/friends of his he thinks will mix well.

And while the xmen have a snooty gate keeping model of "mutates aren't real mutants" they're still nice in general and Kurt/Nightkrawler becomes their newest bestie while Master Splinter and Beast and the Thing are tea drinking buddies.

Deadpool meanwhile has been long gaming it to try to wife up Spidey even while accepting whatever he can get. And loses his shit once he's finally introduced to the TMNT because he'd hope they were real but didn't expect them to be for some reason. He's always wanting to spar with them for fun. And lightly flirts of course.

Team red and TMNT spar and the turtles use the spiderman and daredevil's senses as a game to increase stealth whereas the other 2 use it to increase their awareness. Deadpool tends to switch sides in the game.

In honor of Taika Waititi’s Jewish heritage, but mostly because I’m Jewish and I want it: have some Jewish Ed Teach.

Every year since he’s captained his own ship, Ed makes sure that he’s got barrels of apples and jars of honey on board before Rosh Hashanah.  Those two days he’ll just sit in his cabin, eating whole jars of honey, plunging a spoon or his knife or his whole fucking hand into the jar.  It’s not until his first autumn with Stede, though, licking honey off of Stede’s soft lips and his rosy nipples and his long fingers, that Ed thinks the sweetness might actually last through the year.  

Ed gets his first tattoo after he kills his father, a small chai on the palms of his murderer’s hands, because he intends to fucking live, damn it.  (The fact that palm tattoos fade easily, so he has to get them redone every few years, the sting and wince and the reminder that life hurts doesn’t have anything to do with it, fuck you). It’s a promise and a curse and Ed glories in the fact that Jews aren’t supposed to get tattoos and here he is staking a claim to his father’s people and repudiating that patriarchal authority of can and can’t and should and shouldn’t in the same breath. 

Pirates don’t get days of rest anymore than they get retirement, but one Friday night, Ed asks Stede to braid his hair and when Stede murmurs in his ear that he looks like the Sabbath Queen, Ed reflects that he is learning new ways to be a pirate all the time.  

Ed doesn’t believe much in God and wouldn’t worship one if he did, but every time he tricks the English navy or takes a Spanish galleon or fires on a French warship, he thinks about Daniel facing lions and Judah Maccabee’s guerrilla warfare and Judith beheading Holofernes because he’s too focused on his dick and her tits to think a woman could be a threat (and isn’t that a fucking gorgeous fuckery, eh?) and Ed thinks that the real miracles are the small, oppressed, hurting peoples of the world who refuse to succumb to the power of empires.  

Ed’s broken half the Commandments by the time he’s 14 and the other half bite the dust as soon as he becomes a pirate and it’s never bothered him.  Still doesn’t.  But after Stede takes back the ship and the marooned crew returned and Lucius emerges from (the realm of the dead, Davy Jones’ locker) the fucking secret passageways, what the fuck, Ed starts to think about teshuvah.  Starts to think about returning.  To himself, as he wipes off the greasepaint and tears and tries to figure out who the fuck he wants to be.  To equilibrium, as he offers Lucius knife lessons (that Black Pete ends up taking instead) and lets Jim curse him out in Spanish for long hours and gives embroidery thread and a shake of his hand to Frenchie and helps Fang pick out a puppy.  To belonging, as he works his way through apologies to every one of the crew.  To softness, as he steals armloads of books for Stede’s library.  To love, as he cuddles Stede close and tries not to grip him with fear but to hold him with trust.

The day that Ed bites into a challah Roach baked for him, it tastes like home.  It’s stupid, maybe, his mother made parāoa rēwena and takakau, not his father’s foods, so it’s not like Ed grew up with challah in his home.  But then again the home he was born into never felt very much like one.  It’s only here, with the family he and Stede have chosen to build together, that Ed thinks the exile might have finally found--no, made--a home.

They mean sooooooo much to me. Sasuke was one of my big top faves when I first watched Nart as a kid, and Kakashi is my fave now. Their awkward, tentative teacher & student / father & son thing just strikes me RIGHT in the chest. Every single moment they share together hits me like a fucking freight train.

They're both mega!traumatised and deal with it badly. They both don't get nearly as much support as they should. They both have a veeeeery complex and interesting relationship with Konoha - and with each other!

I love how Kakashi sees himself in Sasuke and tries to help him out of his own dark place, as Kakashi's own friends managed (eventually) to help him. I love that he fails - in part because circumstance constantly dragged him away on missions while Sasuke was most vulnerable, in part because Kakashi is still just.... not that good at emotionally connecting with people, in part because Sasuke is depicted as a character with agency who makes his own choices and chose revenge despite clearly feeling close bonds to Team Seven. And that failure haunts Kakashi. He's pretty much the only adult in Konoha who's shown to consistently give a shit about Sasuke, but he still didn't do enough to reach for him, for a whole variety of reasons - AND HE FUCKING KNOWS IT.

He is more than willing to die for Sasuke. Even after Sasuke tries to kill him multiple times. Even after Sasuke leaves him and Sakura for dead in the lava world. And I think that, as well as Sasuke's big fight with Naruto, helped Sasuke to realise that his team do genuinely and deeply care about him, despite everything that he's done.

Seeing them make up in the finale - and continue to hang out in Boruto! And Sasuke getting advice from Kakashi about how to bond with his daughter!!!! It makes me so fucking soft, I cannot express.
