in terms of the story, it's pretty simple: just waiter/server/bartender!crowley falling in love with married!aziraphale, and how they navigate the relationship and justify it to themselves. maybe 50k total

It's officially New Year's here now that it's midnight and I feel like it's a good moment to express my humble gratitude for each and every one of you. Know that I'm really lucky that you have interest in my portrayal of Dain, regardless of the creative liberties I take for him given the little he has exclusively about himself. Sometimes it can be hard and not without its ups and lows, as he is a unique character that is hard at times to find reasonable and plausible ways to weave interactions, even more so when the content related to him is given with microscopic spoons once per year (with the miraculous exception of last year where he made a meaningful cameo in Khvarena of Good and Evil). Being up to date with the lore as someone who has access to a vast sea of knowledge as Dain isn't without its challenges too, no matter if I'm a lore lover, as the lore in Genshin is still growing and it's hard to remember everything it is to remember.

So to all of you that decide to stay and give me and my Dain and chance despite its difficulties, thank you. I am looking forward to see what we can build together through IC interactions and I hope that what concerns the community, it will become a brighter place to be in and to enjoy this ongoing ride together.

Hi there, If your initial reaction to seeing someone talk about negative [yet still canon] things related to your favorite character is to come into that person's ask box and tell them to go fuck themselves, you need to get up, turn of your computer, and go outside for a while.

Whatever post you're mad about was made months ago, using tags that are meant to be used when discussing a character regardless of how much the op likes said character.

Solomon is fine, I don't really care for him, but what I'm most likely referring to in the post you're talking about is the hypocrisy of the obey me fandom when it comes to Solomon's behavior.

When Solomon attempted to give Lucifer a drink that was enchanted to make him want a pact with Solomon, it was fairly well agreed across the fandom that what Solomon did was pretty fucked up and not okay. However, when talking about how Solomon got his pact with Asmodeus by taking advantage of the fact he was heartbroken and drunk to tie him into a forever binding pact against his will, somehow people are making excuses as to why it was necessary and why what Solomon did is fine actually and not a problem at all. This is where my issue with Solomon and his fans lies, with the hypocrisy. I couldn't give 2 shits whether he's your favorite character or not, good for you if he is! But what we're NOT going to do is scream bloody murder when Solomon attempts to do shady shit to Lucifer, but overly demonize Asmodeus, say he deserved it, say his charming power is non consensual regardless of the fact nowhere in canon says he has ever used it to have non consensual sex and has only used it to get himself and his family out of danger, or say that he is a beast that needs to be controlled when we don't talk that way about the other 6 brothers, when Solomon succeeds in taking advantage of his inebriated state to tie them together so he can use Asmodeus' power for his own gain.

And one more thing we aren't going to do; call me an idiot and accuse me of calling your blorbo a rapist when *you* cannot tell the difference between someone saying "a character was taken advantage of while under the influence" and "this character is a rapist." Solomon did not sexually assault anyone, however the framing of that scene is open to interpretation and to my interpretation, it was heavy handed in showing Solomon doing something that is extremely not okay and laughing it off like it was completely fine. Because to him, it IS fine to treat demons like that. There is absolutely nothing wrong with my interpretation of the scene, and I will continue to use characters' main tags when talking about them because the tags are used for discussion.

Uh, Howdy! I am quite the new user compared to some of y’all, and I want to see if I can compile a little help here. For my own sake and I suppose whomever may ever run across this.

Why is rebloging so important? Why doesn’t liking suffice? The overarching questions of this! I almost completely understand Tumblrs other functions, but this one evades me. Is it due to the lack of algorithm? Some side questions are below.

Is liking and not rebloging viewed as rude? From what I have gathered, I’ve seen this is fat yes, but I understand things better when there’s an explanation and I haven’t actually found a blog compiling the dos nd donts on this particular issue! I’ve seen that it’s because users, especially artists, won’t get as much traction without a reblog, which is fair, but then what does the like function do? I thought I was being nice by liking, but I’ve seen a couple of blogs that they find it relentlessly annoying and I went “awh shit oh no”

Is there a way to keep your reblogs in a separate space? I seriously don’t want this to come off as rude, I’m just genuinely curious. I post art, myself! I’d love to show off other artists work, but I also don’t want my own stuff to get drowned out in my tirade of showering someone in the plethora of reblog hell (I can and will death scroll way too deep into artwork or fandoms; the large compiling of just everything is the reason I came here! Inspiration galore!). I’ve seen some blogs with no reblogs of others, but who say they want to be rebloged themselves and seemingly take part in the practice somewhere! Which just has me curious. Would it be rude (to standard… standards?) to use a side blog to repost instead? I understand the point is to push the posts to people who follow you, and this would technically go against that. I just want thoughts!

What is your headcanon about the twins' childhood ?

Honestly, probably not as tortuous as that line might have made it sound.

Specifics are vague, but essentially, my general HC for the twins' childhood is that their parents died when they were kids. That sudden loss made them cling all the more tightly to each other, and made them terrified of getting separated -- be it temporarily or permanently. They had a bit of a severe case of separation anxiety going on for a while.

"Scared of the world," indicates that hard line in the sand, or crack in concrete, between "safe" and "unsafe." Each other? Safe. Their uncle Drayden who adopted them? Scary at first, but after a while, safe.

Everything else? Dangerous. Scary. Unsafe. Very, verrrrry unsafe. Do not touch, do not interact, do not let go -- the unfamiliar is bad, the distant is bad, and the familiar is safe but also scary because it isn't permanent.

That is my general HC for the twins' childhood.

The most specific one that I have for a different fic is that the four of them were taking a plane trip, the plane crashed, and their parents died from their injuries while holding the twins to keep them safe from debris and fire.

The boys were physically fine, aside from a few minor scrapes, but developed a severe phobia of planes and heights.

There wasn't any abuse in either of these HCs -- as a matter of fact, I like to imagine their parents as very, very good! But that shining aspect of them made the loss that much more frightening, because the twins hadn't experienced such a thing before.

As for the muteness -- Emmet never spoke much as a child, and tended to clam up when pressured or distressed. Processing the sudden loss of his and Ingo's parents took a lot to work through, and his already-scarce voice just disappeared until he healed enough emotionally.

What did you think of Princess Peach in the new Super Mario Bros. movie? (me personally I liked her a lot tho that is no surprise 😉)

She's serviceable! I'm not her biggest fan, and I don't think she really embodies "Peach" as a character the same way Mario, Luigi, and Bowser successfully do, but she's fine. I thought her awkwardness was interesting, as well as her loyalty to her toads. But they like..."girlbossed" her in the wrong direction for me. She does everything perfect on the first try, which I think detracts from any character. I'm just fatigued from female characters being written without real flaws you know. But I also found the Mario Movie as a whole a bit strange, so like...it's not necessarily just Peach.
