Woman who falls in forbidden love with a handsome man across the river, has three kids with him, and has the children’s paternity be applied to a completely different man to ensure the innocent kids wouldn’t be called slurs by their entire close-knit town? Who eventually has to make their kids take a difficult journey to their father’s house in dangerous conditions? And both I’ve seen framed as bad for their choice, but in completely different ways? Hell yeah.

Been lurking and reading Warrior Cat blogs again, like bonefall, and got whiplashed by the fact that we got two whole women in nearly the same situation except one is exiled because the leader of her entire town was pissed that she lied about the paternity of her babies (making said babies leave during a hellacious storm with their mother) and the other didn’t want a prophesied evil asshole to become leader and she couldn’t stop him with kids (making the choice to bring her babies out into a hellacious winter to their father).

Eweweg. There are enough parallels it’s a little crazy, because it’s definitely unintentional by the writers. And, no, I’m not saying Mapleshade and Bluefur are alike in character, because they’re really not. It’s just that they both had Forbidden Kids™ at Political Times™ with their Main Enemy™, lied about who their husbands were, and were forced to bring their children to their fathers because of The Prophecy™, ending in tragedy. And yet it was still different.

I’m not necessarily justifying or demonizing either of the characters (I don’t even read these books anymore, lmfao), I’m just saying it’s fascinating for what really, really seems like something unintentional.

Wahoo! A raffle prize breeding (AKA character x character) custom completed! Traditional, scanned-in, watercolor full reference sheet + winner’s favorite closed trait.

This one was for Galaxy Lotus Studios, the winner of day two of Mochi Raptor Discord’s “Staff Mascot Breeding Raffle.” (Basically we took the raffle winner’s chosen character and the day’s staff mascot and mushed them together into a design with a closed trait!) Day two was for my mascot, Oyster, and I’d like to say this design turned out pretty good! It was a very straightforward mix, with my swamp-plant based design and their water/pond based design, but that’s not to say it wasn’t fun. Considering which traits of either “parent” to keep was a blast, and I think I managed to make a fairly individual yet recognizably derivative design.

I've been resource gathering for YEARS so now I am going to share my dragons hoard

Floorplanner. Design and furnish a house for you to use for having a consistent background in your comic or anything! Free, you need an account, easy to use, and you can save multiple houses.

Comparing Heights. Input the heights of characters to see what the different is between them. Great for keeping consistency. Free.

Magma. Draw online with friends in real time. Great for practice or hanging out. Free, paid plan available, account preferred.

Smithsonian Open Access. Loads of free images. Free.

SketchDaily. Lots of pose references, massive library, is set on a timer so you can practice quick figure drawing. Free.

SculptGL. A sculpting tool which I am yet to master, but you should be able to make whatever 3d object you like with it. free.

Pexels. Free stock images. And the search engine is actually pretty good at pulling up what you want.

Figurosity. Great pose references, diverse body types, lots of "how to draw" videos directly on the site, the models are 3d and you can rotate the angle, but you can't make custom poses or edit body proportions. Free, account option, paid plans available.

Line of Action. More drawing references, this one also has a focus on expressions, hands/feet, animals, landscapes. Free.

Animal Photo. You pose a 3d skull model and select an animal species, and they give you a bunch of photo references for that animal at that angle. Super handy. Free.

Height Weight Chart. You ever see an OC listed as having a certain weight but then they look Wildly different than the number suggests? Well here's a site to avoid that! It shows real people at different weights and heights to give you a better idea of what these abstract numbers all look like. Free to use.

Felt like doodling warrior cats without stressing about it looking good. Messed up a part of a page to do little doodles on :)

At this point I think I like reading the random Tumblr rewrite and analysis blogs who’s main goal is ripping apart the series for its inconsistencies and biases/abuse/etc. over the series itself. It is a fun pass time reading an analysis of how one character that the narrative poses as perfect is actually textbook definition abusing another character(s) and how the narrative framed it is kinda really bad. Or how one of the minor antagonists in the series is actually a victim and who's murder is brushed off because she was was fat + in trouble. Or just the sheer amount of times the narrative has used “this guy is actually pure evil incarnate” to make a bigger bad in comparison to/for Little Mr. Kitty “Henry the Eighth” Paws or Mrs. Whisker “I had kids” Pants. Like, with citations. And then the person either completely reworking the series to correct the bad™ so the narrative actually says what it wants to say, or lean into the bad™ but write it like it’s actually hate, or abuse, or whatever other things. It’s wild. But the cats are silly goofy and the silly goofy is what the heart wants.

I only wish to be friends with the little guys in the water. Sadly they do not want to be friends with me.

they spat out the cucumber at least 3 times each before they realized it wasn’t what they wanted. They then got pissed at one another for “eating” the cucumber they decided wasn’t food, trying it again. This cycle happened for 20 minutes. The turtles were very curious but ignored the random cucumber slice. I do not know what they wanted, but they swam very close :)

Please be aware that the "opt-out" choice is just a way to try to appease people. But Tumblr has not been transparent about when has data been sold and shared with AI companies, and there are sources that confirm that data has already been shared before the toggle was even provided to users.

Also, it seems to include data they should not have been able to give under any circumstance, including that of deactivated blogs, private messages and conversations, stuff from private blogs, and so on.

Do not believe that "AI companies will honor the "opt-out request retroactively". Once they've got their hands on your data (and they have), they won't be "honoring" an opt-out option retroactively. There is no way to confirm or deny what data do they have: The fact they are completely opaque on what do they currently "own" and have, means that they can do whatever they want with it. How can you prove they have your data if they don't give everyone free access to see what they've stolen already?

So, yeah, opt out of data sharing, but be aware that this isn't stopping anyone from taking your data. They already have been taking it, before you were given that option. Go and go to Tumblr's Suppport and leave your Feedback on this (politely, but firmly- not everyone in the company is responsible for this.)

Finally: Opt out is not good under any circumstance. Deactivated people can't opt out. People who have lost their passwords can't opt out. People who can't access internet or computers can't opt out. People who had their content reposted can't opt out. Dead people can't opt out. When DeviantArt released their AI image generator, saying that it wasn't trained on people who didn't consent to it, it was proven it could easily replicate the styles of people who had passed away, as seen here. So, yeah. AI companies cannot be trusted to have any sort of respect for people's data and content, because this entire thing is just a data laundering scheme.
