-Jacob is Not Pleased(TM) with having to third wheel but his night was empty and Evie and Henry didn't want to waste money on the ticket for their friend so he goes (and i think secretly he doesn't want to see animals mistreated and is :/ about possibly seeing that)

-Then he gets there and sees the posters and has the biggest oh shit moment but its fine, its cool, he looks out of place cause Evie and Henri and everyone look like they're going to see a show but that's all good

-And he's kind of into it at first bu when he sees Arno he's never been more entranced; the way he soars and the control he has in everything, how he does things Jacob's pretty sure he never could without throwing out his back

(-And also he's half naked and is absolutely cut like a diamond but yknow that's only part of it)

-When Arno is on the silk rope ballet and soars over the crowd Jacob is pretty sure he almost falls out of his seat (and he likes to think Arno saw him)

-This boy is whipped. He's cheering.

-Does he try to break into the backstage? He would it Evie didn't drag him out

-But he's definitely getting tickets for the next showing and he will try his best then

HAHAHAHAHAH,my dark humor and obvious sarcasm apart...for real,teake it easy buddy. But I would love to know if they'll accept you!So let me know,will you?

Also,I noticed that I became,literally from all of sudden,the CEO of comforting people with my headcanons. Like uh yes,feel free to confess your preoccupations to me: come get some you fuckers,I'm here to make you happy with my weak writing skill.

He has been with you through everything,and with him,you passed and overwhelmed any kind of fear you had in the past: encouraging you when others put you down,rooting for you when others didn't believe in you,pushing you do to your best in and for everything all the time,being by your side with everything you had to face.

Edward was always here,with his strong determination and with his endless support for you.

Unless these times when he was drunk:in that case you would have found him passed out,either on the couch or on the bathroom's floor,blabbering things under his breath...but that's a negligible detail.

Getting in that college would have been a big step in your life,the one you always have wanted.But,for as much as you were excited and happy about it,needless to say that you were also,and obviously,scared.

You firstly tried to hide your preoccupation away from Edward,not wanting to ruin his costant,almost natural,'chill' nature,letting him playing his guitar in peace.

But nothing passed unseen under these deep blue eyes of his: nothing.

Finally deciding to open up your mind and sharing your thoughts with him,after he came back home from a pub where he played with his small,cheap band.

When Edward listened to you freely speaking about your worries,he gave you such a big smile and a relieved sigh.The bastard knew that something was off with the way you were behaving,but he didn't dare to touch that 'weak' spot,deciding instead to wait for you to take your time.

So there you were,sitting together outside the balcony of his apartment,in the middle of the night: you softly speaking as he carefully listened to everything,blue eyes fixed in your ones.

Comforting you in all the ways he knew,pulling and squeezing you in an endless and tight hug,not letting you go until you have calmed down.

He might haven't been a master with gentle words and philosophical speeches...so silence was all what he could give you.But,after some moments where he intensly observed you,he found his way with words:

"Why don't you go and take something to drink,mh?" as he gave you a sly wink and a lopside smirk.

"Let's drink to forget our sorrows" he exclaimed before taking a long sip from the bottle you brought him,actually managing to make you laugh.

Jokes apart,after drinking that beer,he became more serious,wrapping an arm around your waist,pulling you in his lap as he whispered to you truly and purely comforting words,genuinely soothing you down once for all.

Maybe it was his low,deep voice,speaking so firmly and decisively;or maybe it was the way he was lively convincing you that you will get in that 'goddamned college' -his own words.

Spending the other days together.

Slow/rough sex for making the stress go away.

Edward playing his guitar in the living room most of the time for you,with you sitting on the couch while you had his cat in your lap:listening to him playing something slow and nice always helped you to relax.

"You will get in that college.If you don't?That doesn't exist,darlin' "

Yes,he does have his own way with words,when he wants.

Shay was a man of few words,he was a man of action.And,most of all,he knew you way too well:so you possibly and literally can't hide anything from him.

"I have eyes and ears everywhere,little dove,remember this" he said with a serious voice once he started to talk about that almost crucial subject,but the sly smile he had on his lips just betrayed (see what I did there?I'm not sorry) his deep tone.

So you two had a long,long talk,him letting you speak freely as much as you wanted and needed,for only starting to talk and to exprime his thoughts just after you finished.

You didn't had idea of how he could have been so convincing,firm and ardent and triumphant while trying to make you reason:trying to let you understand that you WILL get accepted in that college.

Giving you a severe,yet gentle expression,telling you that you didn't had to be preoccupied of anything.

For as much as Shay was hopeful,he also was very,very stubborn and consequently he made you become a bit stubborn too: you,scared and convinced that everything was going to be a distaster;him,angry and almost desperate to change your mind,wiping off those bad thoughts you had.

He even called Haytham,one day.You heard him talking to the older man one afternoon,and you immediately found Shay in the living room,approaching you as he handed you the phone.

Needless to say that Mr Kenway said the exact same things that your boyfriend told you all the time the other days.Haytham loosing himself in a long,philosophical and almost paternal speech.

And Shay was glad when he actually managed to change your mind,even if a little,relieved when he saw you starting to see and think about things in a different way.

So,when he noticed that you were calmer,he started to spoil you.

Bringing you out for a date in such a nice restaurant,spending the whole evening together.

Sex,a lot of sex,all around the house,comfort sex to relieve you and to make you relaxed.Worshipping you all the time,always.

Giving you his four-leaf clover that he kept wrapped in an old and ruined bag,placing it in your hand,closing them around it.

"I hope it'll bring me luck" raising your almost teary eyes on his warm brown ones,him just giving you a snarky smile.

"You make your own luck"

"And if you won't get in,I will hunt these bastards down" he might have said with a light tone and a vague gesture with his hand,making you amused,but...oh he was able to do that.

Oh no...

You were convinced,more than anything,that Arno Dorian was a man who was able to read in your mind:he only needed an intense,deep stare at your eyes for finding out what was bothering you so much.

And when he finally understood what was wrong,he immediately...well.

If this man was anything,anxious was one of them.Quickly becoming anxious and preoccupied too,his thick eyebrows furrowed with worry as he sat beside you,taking your little hand in his big ones,bringing them up to his mouth,leaving a chaste kiss on the back of them.

"We can be anxious together,amour"

He tried to joke with a low voice,a bitter smile on his lips,hope starting to grow within himself as he saw the corner of your lips rising up slightly.

He had always known how much getting in that college was important for you.

The young man knew that so well:listening to you talking with passion about it,sharing with him your secrets and dreams;dreams and goals that he liked and shared a lot.

He loved seeing you so determinated and gritty about that: Arno knew that,if you wanted something,you HAD to get it,in all the ways you were capable of.And he was more than willing to help you.

But seeing all that passion,will and hope being overwhelmed by anxiety,worries and pessimism?

It was a big problem for Arno,too: he was so emphatic,and seeing you being so preoccupied just put him down.

The last thing he wanted for you was to be upset.So he tried his best to make you feel in a better mood,rising your spirit up by telling you that he truly and firmly believed in you and in your skills.

He truly did.Nothing fascinated Arno more than seeing how your eyes light up with that ardent glimpse whenever you talked about the things you were passionate about.

Cheering you up by preparing a hot bath,candles lit up all around the dark room as steam raised from the bathtub.

Cuddling together way more than before.Lots,tons of cuddles for you.

Distracting you by walking hand in hand in the city,in the middle of the night,enjoying the quiet and paceful atmosphere as you both silently talked about anything.

Forehead kisses. Oui.

Him reading out loud some of his favourite poems,his hands wandering in your ones,playing with your fingers as he continued to read for you,calming you down a lot.

"A croissant?"

That man makes love,he doesn't just fuck.

Arno was totally and utterly devoted towards you: a romantic man if you wish,a man who always gave you endless support and a man who would give his heart and soul to see,and make,you happy.

fair warning this post is long as fuck and has several arguments pertaining to specific peeves i need to rant about before i go crazy. if you're not interested just keep scrolling it's not hard it's literally the core of social media navigation

black flag is the best ac game and deserves more recognition than just pirate drinking jokes because:

nearly every named character (sorry burgess and cockram) has development and personalities. cant say that for that many others in other games.

not too much fucking shit to do in it (unlike uhhhhhhhh every fucking other game in the franchise. stop it. i dont need 500 treasure chests in arno's game he already has an excellent revenue with the cafe. i dont need a ton of side quests. i dont need 30+ chests per london burough. i dont need a million question marks on my map. i dont need all of egypt or greece to be littered with shit to do. fuck this.).

unlocking shit is so much easier. edward knows where every treasure chest is and doesnt pay for treasure maps. and literally unlocking shit is so much easier.

base is slept on. its fucking cool. its fucking fun. its fucking useful as shit. its fucking pretty as all hell. fuck you.

good story, fun story, great dlc, relatable story (unless youre some bootlicking cowardly rich cunt) emotional story but not depressing (unity im looking at your ending. origins stop killing children.), satisfying end.

i can do the combat with one hand. you know what that means? i can eat and drink without pausing. i can reply to text messages without pausing. i can pet my dogs and cats while playing.

main character actually has changed by the end of the game a vast amount. motherfucker, edward changed more in his antó mission than ezio did in his trilogy.

if you dont complete all objectives you still have a passing score on the mission. do you know what its like to be raised to only get good grades on stuff and see yourself getting a 60% on a thing thats supposed to be a pass time just because you forgot something.

the naval combat isnt hard you just need practice. also i know the hunter ship sucks in the first mission you encounter but literally drop your sails but hold the wheel. once its in view let go. swim to it. take out the crew. swim back. bada bing bada boom go oneshot the crew. incredible, you're safe now.

legendary ship battles are really fucking cool and my mom doesnt yell at me for killing a giant beast for next to nothing.

the sea shanties and tavern songs slap.

farm animal petting simulator. not forced to kill dogs (ac3, odyssey).

obviously its good if the other games are just gonna copy paste it.

edward is literally the first canon bisexual. he literally says so in game. he literally fucking flirts with blackbeard. he literally was a pirate. why the fuck do you think birate is such an accurate pun.

the female characters dont have titties all over the place. even anne's boobs arent that big, which is good considering she is underage. the same cannot be said for many of the women in ezio's games.

guess who has a solid, interesting, and realistic personality. not kassandra or alexios thats for sure.

he is NOT moved by man pain (ezio, connor, bayek) to carry out his missions. he didn't want to be poor, he wanted to be able to provide for his family. he is just carrying out his dream to sail a ship. when he starts being "good", he is doing it out of guilt and shame on his past self (what, self reflection? someone, teach jacob this term), not because "wahh my girlfriend/mom/child/family died :'(", he wanted to make it up to his lost friends by making them proud and doing what they wished he had done. his regrets are in not being a better friend while mary was alive, not seeking out her killers (guards at fort). thatch's death crushed him, but he didn't thrust his anger on seeking revenge. and the characters that did die? they had personalities and development and were interesting and memorable. i cant tell you shit about cristina.

he is very respecting of women, especially for a white guy from the 1600s. he, as a teenager (under 17 i believe), attempted to save a woman he did not know and had no intentions of wooing (hey um ezio? you literally only were able to save cristina from being raped because you stalked her because you thought she was attractive. like thanks for saving her but uhh am i the only one that finds that creepy?) even though the odds of winning against three older men were stacked against him and he knew they could (and almost did) beat him to death. fuck if caroline wasnt there he would've been killed.

the modern day stuff is an excellent way to separate intense scenes and the little mini hacking games are fun puzzles. oh boohoo desmond isn't there? yes he was, half the things you hack literally give you desmond content.

from experience, its fun to play even if you dont know shit about the other ac games. pirates are cool and the story is easy to follow, just be prepared to find some of the other endings big letdowns or lots of the other games' missions boring.

is that fanservice that goes both ways but doesnt oversexualize any gender? why yes, it is!

stop reducing black flag to alcoholism jokes like yall constantly fucking do, it has so many other talking points and if you wanna make fun of something maybe choose something that isnt addiction. literally i make fun of edward constantly without pointing out his alcoholism it isnt that hard. if you're gonna make fun of edward for drinking rum when water in the 1700s often wasnt safe and making fun of him when he was depressed (he has multiple other intended self harming behaviors shown in game so no, he wasnt just drinking because its fun), why don't i see the same "wHy is aLL tHe WiNE gONe?" posts for arno? he was an alcoholic too. in fact arno and edward have a lot of the same forms of depression but oh, arno's a more serious character personality wise and isn't a pirate so his grieving isn't as funny.

and like, there are plenty of other things to make fun of with edward that might not make light of alcoholism because no, edward's drinking in the main story was not written to be a joke. here, a list of things i regularly make fun of him for:

actually, because i’ve gotten a lot of new mcu mutuals lately, and i need to redo my 616 tony stark care manual bc i wanna tweak it and make some aesthetic changes (because i’m just Like That), things you should probably know because i am actually 616/marvel prime/main continuity-based.  i swear i’ll be serious this time.  maybe.

the original flavor tony is not going to be the same tony you’re used to from the mcu - mcu tony is actually more marvel ultimates inspired, which is a whole kettle of fish unto itself and that i have a verse for, but we’ll get to that at a later date.  instead, meet main continuity tony.

+  he started his path to iron man in a very similar way to mcu tony, in that he was injured by his own weapons (depending on where you pull from the sliding timescale, it’s everything from landmines to micromunitions) that damaged his heart and left him slowly dying.  we all know this story, right?  he built the first iron man to escape and the rest is history.

+  the difference is, main continuity was dependent upon the armor’s chestplate for a few years. the arc reactor ain’t really a thing in 616, instead we have the rt node.  similar in function, only tony could use it to do unibeams without the suit.  anyway, when tony came back, he took on iron man as an alternate identity, and told the world iron man was his bodyguard.  no one knew for a few years there that tony stark - handsome, generous, kind-hearted benefactor of the avengers who opened his home to them - and the metal-clad adventurer known as iron man was the same person.  it took a mishap with molecule man and a tiny red silk thong (no, i’m not kidding) for that little secret to come to light.

+  he was in his very early twenties when he became iron man - much younger than his mcu counterpart, and he’s very, very good at being iron man.

+  his relationship to most of the avengers - and heroes in general - is very different.  his best friend in the entire world is steve rogers - he’s had a captain america memorabilia collection since before the avengers pulled steve out of the ice (which is another thing - the avengers thawed steve, and tony has always idolized him - there’s no resentment there - and steve was not a founding member, he came in after the avengers had already formed).  his other best friend is rhodey, who was his employee-turned-military liason for stark unlimted (formerly known by many other names).  his other other best friend is pepper potts - they’ve never actually been romantically involved.  his other other other best friend was happy hogan, who died a few years back during the nightmare of civil war - which was much more us-based and much more horrific in tony’s universe.  he’s carol danvers’ aa sponsor.  he’s good friends with reed richards.  he’s been friends with stephen strange for years.  he and bucky barnes are fairly close and tony’s the one that got rid of bucky’s trigger words.  he and natasha have dated...ish, and are close.  he was never peter parker’s mentor, as his peter is a full grown adult, but peter did intern for him for a while.  and was on an avengers team with him before civil war.  he, steve, and thor are still the big three, but they have a friendship that’s been forged in the fires of really bad mistakes and they’ve come out the other side still close.  he knows the guardians of the galaxy because he was a guardian for a while during his big vacation in space.  he’s dated more avengers and x-men than you can shake a stick at.  and jarvis for him is edwin jarvis, his living, breathing, now semi-retired butler who served the avengers for many years and is part of the avengers family.

+  he was director of shield for a short time after civil war and steve rogers’ assassination.  he hated the job and he hated steve being dead and he hated what he forced himself to do so bad he literally erased that entire year out of his head.  and to get rid of the database full of superhero secret identities stored in his brain but you can’t tell me he didn’t have a more recent backup without it.

+  his first ai was named homer.  jarvis actually was pepper’s ai, for her rescue suit, and was never tony’s.  friday is and has been his main ai for years, and she has a hologram form.  she mostly runs the day to day stuff that doesn’t require tony to physically be there for the company.  which, also, tony is still ceo, he hasn’t handed that over to anyone, and pulls double fulltime duty as both a working stiff and an avenger.  his eyebags are designer.

+  he was secretary of defense for a year - he got himself elected when he found out someone in military research was reverse engineering and stealing things from the iron man.

+  he’s in his early 40s and looks younger:  being an extremis enhancile for a while and then undergoing a full-body reboot does wonders for the skin, apparently.

+  is known for using himself as a lab rat for incorporating experimental technology into his biology.  ask me about the suit he carried in his bones!

+  he’s 6′1 with blue eyes.  that’s, uh.  kind of important to know.  he’s tall.  he’s lanky.  and if you’re not a metahuman he might just can kick your ass, because captain america trained him in hand to hand combat (of which he’s very proud of).

+  the ten rings are literally ten alien rings used by his main archvillain, the mandarin.  they hurt.  a lot.  and he hates when he gets an up close and personal view of them smashing into his face.

+  he’s not as quippy as his mcu counterpart, and instead is more prone to bad puns and rambling awkwardly.  canonically he has depression, anxiety, and ptsd, and struggles with them regularly.  he’s also a recovering alcoholic.

+  take mcu tony’s tech.  then put it on steroids.  then make it the craziest scifi thing you can imagine.  and you’ve got the barest hint of what this tony’s tech is like.  seriously.  ask me about the suit he literally carried inside of himself.  or the time he could control machines with his brain.  616 is wild.

+  he’s been homeless.  and i don’t mean rich people homeless. i mean living on the street, nearly froze to death riding out a blizzard in a doorway and almost lost fingers and toes to frostbite homeless.  tony’s a Rich Boy but one who’s had a taste of how the other half lives on more than one occasion.  he’s also worked a regular nine to five like everyone else and lived in what was...honestly...a really shitty apartment.

+  he’s adopted, and he has a(n adopted) brother named arno.  his bio mom’s a former rockstar, and his bio dad a hydra double agent.  you literally can’t make this shit up.

+  he’s incredibly self destructive and self sacrificing.  if things look hopeless he’ll be the first to offer himself for the pyre.  because he has absolutely horrid self esteem.

+  he’s a liar.  he’s sneaky.  he tends to make decisions for other people without consulting their feelings on the matter - partly because of a tony knows best attitude, but also because there are people in the world he’d do anything, and i mean anything, to keep safe, even if they hate him in the end.  it’s kind of awe inspiring and terrifying if you manage to inspire that level of devotion in tony, because really.  anything.

+  he has a playboy reputation, but he’s anything but.  you either get casual sex out of him?  or you’re married now, sorry, that’s just how it is.  he settles and nests with a vengeance.  he’s one of those people that would love to be happy and safe and loved and married and all that happy shit but doesn’t feel like he’s worthy of it.  his issues with this have issues, to be honest.

+  if you call him in the middle of the night and need an evac and you’re on his People list he will come.  twice in two days.  dropping everything to go to the middle of indiana to do it.  if you are sad and text him about it he will bring you food.  if you don’t answer his texts he will find you and check in on you.  if you feel out of place and adrift he will try to buy your baseball team and move them back to brooklyn to make you happy.  if you die and he can’t cope with your death he will buy your first avengers indenticard for 2mil at an auction because he can’t stand the thought of anyone else having it.  if you’re really special he’ll call you “beloved” and “captain handsome”.  sometimes sweetheart.  please note these things are all canon.

+  he dies a lot.  it’s okay, he gets better.

+  his irrational fears are the dark and cockroaches.  his actual fears are waking up drunk and the suit becoming a coffin.

anyway this is a Lot.  and it’s not even really scratching the surface so.  i’m gonna just drop this on the dash as is.  and you know it helps for me to make dumb lists like this from time to time to refresh things.  anyway, i know it’s a lot!  i know it’s different!  but my (broken) ims and disco (shellhead#8434) are always open for questions and plotting.  and my inbox, too, ig.  so you know.  remember we’ve got a canon multiverse.  it’s real easy for me to drop him in the mcu to make your day annoying.

Heyyyy!! hope life is treating you well. My main questions are regarding Tony’s family .. since I come from a big dysfunctional family. Is Tony Starks daddy issues an MCU thing or 616? Also, what about his mom? Does she play any role? Is he really adopted and she used him as a decoy? I am confusing :((

Sorry about the delay answering; things have been kind of rough for me but hopefully getting better.

I know that people who know the MCU better than I do will be able to speak to Howard and Tony’s relationship there, but in 616 I feel like “daddy issues” is really understating it, because Howard is portrayed as consistently explicitly physically and emotionally abusive toward Tony. 

Canon tends to lean harder on the emotional rather than the physical side; there are a few panels of Howard threatening to hit Tony but the only panel I can think of where he actually does hurt Tony physically is this, a flashback from Invincible Iron Man #505:

It’s not the classic way physical abuse is generally depicted but I’d say that’s definitely abuse.

Also from Fraction’s IM run, we see that Tony’s hallucinations involving his father also involve his father physically hurting him, as we see in Stark Disassembled (Invincible Iron Man #24, specifically):

That’s all happening in Tony’s mind, sure... but that’s how Tony imagines his father acts toward him.

Anyway, most of the abuse is emotional in nature. There’s the famous line “Stark men are made of iron” in Iron Man #286 -- this and surrounding issues have a lot of flashbacks to Tony’s childhood -- and you will note that that line is prefaced by Howard suggesting that Tony would be a sissy otherwise. A whole lot of the way Howard interacts with Tony is in insults toward his masculinity, actually.

Seriously, there is a whole lot of canon about Howard like this. A whole lot. He’s just... abusive. I don’t know what else to say. Like, here he is in Iron Man #287 calling Tony a coward when Tony doesn’t want to go to boarding school:

And here he is in Iron Man #313 forcing a very young Tony to drink so he won’t be a sissy little boy! I mean, what else do you want me to say about canon?

Does Tony perceive him as abusive? Not according to IM #313, but that doesn’t mean he wasn’t.

As for Maria Stark, I made a separate post about her a while ago. (This includes some panels of Howard threatening to hit Tony, if you want to see those, as well as a demon version of Howard yelling insults at Tony in hell. That one is the best issue.)

And, yes, as of Gillen’s Iron Man run Tony is retconned to have been adopted so as to help hide Howard and Maria’s biological son Arno from aliens. I still haven’t read most of this run, so I can’t tell you any more than that.

Honey, where I should start.. Maybe your Pandora Box would be the best choice, because it made me really excited and I have something to say about it. As usual.

First of all, I feel pretty unsure of fantasy au’s in non-fantasy genres. And I am saying this as a fantasy lover. However, some of your ideas seem interesting to me. And names!! I love them all! I always have problems with female names because there are only a few I like and they almost always are not adequate to the fandom. So usually my OCs exist without any.

Funny thing the most fantastic trope of your ideas is my totally favorite.! I love mermaids with all my heart! I love them to the point my co-workers bought me a mermaid-tail-blanket. You know, I'm ALWAYS cold and I am the youngest in the team, so they still treat me like a child – in a positive way ofc. The motive of the mermaid in Black Flag? I love it.! It’s quite heartbreaking, but I am a masochist and I would love to read about the moment she finds out about Edward’s death. Such a pity you don’t have an OC dedicated to him. I love this man. Maybe because I got into AC thanks to my friends and they all said that Black Flag is the best game made from all AC franchises. I didn’t have a chance to play them all so I have no idea if it’s true.

The second one of my total faves is OC for Connor. All OCs I have ever created are herbalists/healers/medics/veterinarians so here we are, you totally bought me with this one. And I find Slavic mythology really interesting. Do you have a name for her? I am not too excited about her being an assassin, but it’s only because AC games are too brutal for me. (Yes, I am really sensitive and sometimes killing a bug is too much for me, please don’t laugh at me) I definitely prefer books. And maybe that’s why I like to think about OC/reader as a person not involved in Assassin’s Brotherhood as a member.

Could you tell me something more about Ian? He sounds quite interesting. Ok, I lied. He sounds VERY interesting and I want to know everything about him lol.

I don’t like children, but Bayek and Aya are legendary and everyone on this sick planet loves them so I am kinda interested in the background story? And Bayek has the most beautiful smile amongst all male assassins in the whole franchise. You can’t change my mind.

Mermaids and sirens are one of my fave supernatural beings so I'm so happy you like that idea! Maybe one day I will have oc for Edward but to be honest the game makes me sad. I don't like how Edward behaves - how he treats his wife, the sugar seller and generally people around.

I won't laugh at you for not like killing because it's 100% valid! And this oc for Connor is like that. She used to be an assassin but left because killing is terrible for her and it's completely against her doctors' vows to never hurt. Honestly the moment when Edward buys his swords and Bonnet goes with 'i didn't have money for swords so I have this tiny knife' broke my heart. I was so angry at Edward I had to turn off the game.

As for other games - I started with Syndicate, then Unity, Odyssey, Origins, AC 1 and then I followed the order. I just played Valhalla after Rogue but before black flag. So as you see Edward is my last assassin so maybe that's why I have troubles with liking him got now. But I hope it will get better!

About Ian. Do you know anime called Durarara? I honesty base Ian on Izaya a bit. If not then it's fine! Ian is an informant who just loves to create chaos and observe people. He is curious by them. He is especially dangerous because this feeling of awe towards humanity is genuine. Because of it he can be bought with money or threatened by death. He does as he please, not caring for consequences as long as he can watch people and their choices.

Bayek. Aya. I love them so so much and I'm always so sad about their story. I wished they could be together happily ever after. Who's attractive? Tbh I find them all attractive in different ways. I want to way Altair is the most handsome but he has like 13 pixels on his whole face 😂 if they made him with th same quality as Alexios, Bayek or Eivor it would be much easier to decide!

Man its so weird to think back and see how many signs there were that I was transgender long before I realized it. I was SO fucking oblivious, I had no clue that being nonbinary was even an option, all I knew was 'well I don't wanna be the opposite gender but I don't wanna be the one I was assigned at birth'. (Except obviously I didn't even know the correct words to describe it) And like... I bought into A LOT of horrible transphobic bullshit, cos I was raised with a biased view of what being transgender even is. 'Trans-sexual people are turned on by wearing women's clothes'. Ugh. And I was completely disgusted by it, since I'm a sex repulsed asexual and everything about foreplay or whatever disgusts me. My parents and pop culture and stuff all treated it like trans people were the equivelant of someone into BDSM wearing nipple clamps out in public or something. 'Well in theory I have nothing against them having that kink, but why do they have to show it in public?' Being trans was ALWAYS only shown as 'oo kinky I like to crossdress in the bedroom', as if it was a fucking sexuality, as if there was NO OTHER REASON why someone would wanna wear the 'wrong' clothes and use the 'wrong' pronouns. I felt viscerally disgusted at myself whenever I didn't want to wear my birth gender's cliche outfits, I denied absolutely everything cos I didn't want people to think I was a pervert. I didn't even know it was POSSIBLE to be transgender and asexual, or even that being transgender wasn't the same as being gay! I said SO MUCH fucking horrible transphobic and homophobic stuff as a kid, just parroting what I was told, and overcompensating for hating myself by making it clear I hated everyone remotely similar to me. While being in huge denial that they were similar to me! And I'm gonna carry these regrets forever and always worry that I stopped someone else from feeling comfortable about theirself and just... GAHH! And I did all the same too about parroting stereotypes of 'crazy people' and 'r*tards' before I learned that this big ol stereotype about autism was bullshit and real autistic people look EXACTLY LIKE MYSELF It just makes me think a lot about how many other people out there might be trans and not have the ability to find out because they've been buried so utterly in this false, bigoted image of what a trans person actually is. Tho also I hate the dumb stereotype that 'all homophobes are secretly gay', like seriously wtf why u wanna escape all responsibility for your actions and say the only problem is gay people systemically oppressing THEMSELVES... ANYWAY I went off on a sad train of thought there but back to the point! I'm just remembering this one part of a school trip that was like one of my most treasured memories for no logical reason until I realised I was trans. I met a new classmate and he mistook me for the opposite gender, and I was like 'HOLY SHIT WHY AM I HAPPY' until someone else 'corrected' him. I mean.. I knew I wasn't that gender either, but it felt like a weight off my shoulders to at least be misgendered the opposite way for once. I felt inexplicably happy that I was looking ambiguous enough to even be in question! And this was when I was like 11, I had no clue what word to even assign to these feelings... And I mean, it was SO DUMB that I never noticed these signs! This is what internalized transphobia does to you! Like 'hey there's probably no reason at all why I always play as a different gender ever time I buy a pokemon game, and get this self hatey feeling in my gut when both options have very stereotypically gendered costumes'. And 'wow there sure is no reason why I got inexplicably attached to this genderless character and can't stop thinking about ways to prove they aren't real'. Seriously all that debate about 'quina is really a girl/boy' with weird evidence in stat builds and equip items and stuff! I got REALLY into that transphobic bullshit cos it was something that shook up my perception of the world and I felt like if not being either gender was ACTUALLY AN OPTION then id have to address painful things about myself. If I knew I could be that, I couldn't keep lying to myself. So I went in aggressive denial mode and missed this chance to come out of the closet at like 9 years old and save myself a damn lot of trouble! And then I just went through the same bullshit at 14 with Chrona from Soul Eater, and could not explain why on earth I was so upset that the English dub assigned them a random gender instead of translating it properly... And OH MAN how fucking dysphoric I was about puberty even before I knew that dysphoria was a thing! It was like 'hey look you're growing up!' 'NO IM NOT DEAR GOD NEVER SAY THAT AGAIN'. And that led to this stupid thing of me just saying 'well I have the mental age of a seven year old LOL' to excuse whenever I acted 'weird'. My forum avatar and stuff was a doodle of myself in chibi form, etc. (Even literally wearing chest binding... I only knee at the time that it was 'a martial arts thing' tho.) Like, I'd got all these messages that not wanting sex was 'childish' and not wanting my body to change was obviously 'immature', and when I was undiagnosed with mental illness and trying yo make up excuses for how I TOTALKY didn't have a mental illness, all I could say was 'ha ha I'm totally uhh... Doing it on purpose? Cos I'm so... Quirky?' I got obsessed with overacting as a class clown, cos I mean you can also excuse cross dressing as a thing that 'the comic relief character' does... And OH MAN, like my big Special Interest throughout all of high school was Norse myth, more specifically Loki. I was FASCINATED with the idea of a shape shifter who could be either gender, and was completely unashamed about it. And, of course, I used to play it off as 'ha ha isn't it so funny he turned into a girl', when I seriously did not have any clue WHY it was funny, I just thought I had to say it. It HAD to be the reason I was so sympathetic yo this character, right? Because he's A FUNNY JOKE?? And man then I got so obsessed with researching non gendered English pronouns from the 18th century and championing how they should totally come back into modern language and EVEN THEN I was in denial! It took until I played Magical Diary to realise 'well fuck I'm trans'. It took a game outright saying that these genderless pronouns arent just 'to be inclusive of both genders' but can be used for A THIRD GENDER, A GENDERLESS GENDER, A BOTH AND/OR NEITHER GENDER!! A game saying that this gender does exist in human beings, and EVEN THEN I took ages to be sure that it was really real and not just a fantasy thing that the game made up. I mean, quina was totally only genderless cos they're a magical creature, right? (Completely ignoring the fact that the other two members of that magical creature town are both male...) And just.... AAAAAAA I feel like I'm the human personification of that 'no Patrick, put it on the lid' meme No, you're trans. No, TRANS. Trans, bunni! TRANS!! This is what societal prejudices do to people. Even LGBTQ people usually grow up within homophobic, transphobic society, absorbing all the same messages. It destroys our ability to be okay with being ourselves... Its so fucking sad that this happened to me, and it hurts even more to think of all the times I said insensitive offensive stuff to other LGBTQ people back when I thought I was cis and straight... Gahhhh... ALSO, it makes me extra sad that Summon Night: Swordcraft Story 2 never got released in Europe. There's a character there called Arno who's NB and very out about it, and the English translators didn't make a mess of it, or anything. People actually call Arno 'they', and literally their catchphrase is 'Are you a boy or a girl?' 'I'm just a child of the wind~' Like seriously NO ambiguity, character actually getting to dish out sick burns when being misgendered, absolutely NO room for the ol 'well they just don't MENTION a gender, it doesn't mean they were intended to be nonbinary' excuse. Arno outright stating 'I am not a boy, and I an not a girl'. And your protagonist respecting it! Arno is still my absolute fave best handled nonbinary character in all of games. And the summon night series is very inclusive with a lot of gay romance options! Its a shame tho that the only other game with a nonbinary character was never dubbed even in america. But apparently the protags of previous games get a cameo in the upcoming Summon Night 6 which finally will be released in Europe! I just hope they handle Corlal's pronouns respectfully, considering how they managed to do it so well a decade ago with Arno. But then again the Swordcraft Story series is a spinoff so the main games might have different translators? Anyway, let me hug my tiny enby dragon child! Also I'm sad the cellphone app trading card game never got dubbed either, cos Corlal got some cute cards for the valentine's day event. All three dragon kids just got adorable scenes making platonic family chocolate for their siblings cos they're too young to really participate. And they thankfully got super cute totally non-lolicon maid and butler outfits like SERIOUSLY THANK GOD FOR THAT! Just cute ten year olds playing dressup like normal kids. Corlal got two cards for that one! Them being nonbinary continues to be 100% canon, they got a version with both a dress and a tuxedo. AND ITS SO FUCKING CUTE MY GOD ...man I'm sorry this just went off topic into how great that series is But anyway! If I've ever said anything that offends you, please message me about it! I'm still unlearning a lot of internalized prejudice. Also if you want a quality nonbinary werewolf in a cool side scrolling GBA jrpg, look for Arno! Ok so I read the review, and sadly I didn’t catch arno in the movie (sadly) and maybe when I re-watch it I might be able to see them. And I guess it can be an ok movie for people not familiar with Assassins Creed. Really thats the only vibe I see through out this whole movie. @swimsthroughstars

yes! I 100% agree the action scenes were amazing in this movie. When I say hear Assassins Creed I think of the skilled assassins who work in the dark and have mad skills and this movie did not disappoint. As for the character...yea it was kinda like..soo anything else about Aguilar? like why is he so good? is he highly trusted among his fellow assassins? what motives does he have, thoughts? feelings? @skibblepasta  

NOW FOR MY THOUGHTS HMMM

ok so spoilers ahead

firstly Michael Fassbender is always fun to watch, having such a good actor is what I think gave this movie a little more personality. In a way he reminds me of Desmond from Assassins creed 1 (considering he was basically confused as to what the fuck is going on lol) 

The side characters were a lot of fun to watch (of what little scenes they had). though if the assassins knew who they were and are being forced hostage there (im guessing) how come wait till now ? cause the apple? Idk found it a tad confusing, but that can just be me. 

I’m sorry, but as a individual who wants to study in character development, and loves the story/characters in the games. I am a little salty why obisoft didn’t start the movie franchise with Altair or their most popular assassin Ezio. One part of me says of course if they didn’t use them, they already have a high pedestal to portray the already loved characters, and another part of me is like, well they have the money and resources..but *shrugs* I don’t know. 

It just confuses me sometimes when they bring in this character who ancestor was trusted at one point with the apple, which strikes a big comparison to Desmond. Then theres Sophia, which is giving me a big Lucy vibe if it’s ok to say that. (I didn’t really hear what she said at the very end lol so I don’t know where she’s going to go from here)

I think the biggest complaint I have is that, we don’t know our assassins? of the past I mean. We are focused A LOT on the modern day assassins and our main lead. The whole point of many game series is that we actually don’t spend a great deal of time with the modern as we do with the past. It really shows in this movie because really I only got how bad ass Aguilar was as a fighter but other than maybe a few words about not betraying the creed I know nothing. 

some good things. Again the fighting, this is just a massive load of awesome shots assassin’s climbing and using their surroundings to escape the enemy as well to fight. The first scene you see them in action is like woah...I want to see more of that, I especially love it how the woman (maria I believe) was able to handle herself when she was taking the prince away. 

The animus is...different. I like the idea the one being sent back in time actually physically moving as their ancestor has back then. I was thrown off when I saw it before and still now, since before it just been like “here lay down”. That begs the question tho, when (if ever) they do another movie, would it be the same giant thing stationed for such movement or are they going to go back using the table/ bed style? 

Also with the animus I love the projectors showing us the memory as well, the movement it gives the people when they fight. On this note however I think there was one scene where I strongly wanted it to be Desmond and Altair, where Fassbender’s character is first confronted with Aguilar in his room and begins fighting him. That was really good, but that small fangirl in me thought, wow what if that was Desmond instead? What if that was Altair basically training his latest descendant how to fight or practicing of what he’s learned through the memories like in AC2. I don’t know just thinking that got my hopes up for no reason. 

Another thing. I might be seeing thing but when Cals in the room full of artifacts and paper on class walls talking to Sophia. There was this one scene where they stopped on this assassin drawing where their face was erased out. I don’t know if its just me being me but didn’t the outfit strikingly look like connors? lol

All in all i give this movie 7/10, good action, good acting, good character interaction between the modern assassins and really great cinematic shots. but lacks in knowing Aguilar of much of the past for that matter, the templars never saying their motto which is odd?? and somewhatwishingitwasusingthecharacterswelove
