March 29th 2024 - Tom Kane Theatre / bkONE Productions
Went to see Idlehood and The Loneliers. My buddy Tom filled in drums for the opening band Sangre, who I also recorded. I unfortunately had plans last minute made so I dipped after The Loneliers and couldn't stay for Desert Shark, but go follow them anyways!

I’m very excited to announce that my work is included in a group show at the Tom Kane Theater in Industry City opening this Saturday, March 2, 2024. Here are the details:
“Winter Blues” an exhibit at The Tom Kane Theater, presented by BK One Productions.

BUILDING 5, Store 17 (“Imagination Alley”) Brooklyn NY

The theme of winter blues is so evocative. As usual, I won’t reveal my painting online until after the opening, but I will tell you that it depicts one of my absolute favorite NYC landmark buildings, the Chrysler.
The show will feature the work of over 20 NYC artists, including real gems. You won’t want to miss the fun. Plus, Industry City is so amazing to visit!
Hope to see you there!

Brooklyn artist Ken Rush’s Poolevator is one of several works located in Industry City, organized by The Collision Project.
From The Collision Project about the work-
This installation represents both the reality and fantasy. The reality is depicted in the inspiring monumental architecture, while the fantasy emerges in the joyful addition of a swimming club with a celebration of swimming, sunbathing, recreation and play. For Rush, the work is a homage to Impressionist painters like Monet and Suerat, and the way that they depicted urban and rural pleasures. This is a group project between Rush and three of his students from High School Visual Arts at Packer Collegiate Institute in Brooklyn Heights.

BrooklynOne Productions and Robo7 Announce "Kaiju Brooklyn" This October
Right after I enjoyed a matinee showing of “Barbie” at the Alpine Cinema in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn I just had to stop into our neighborhood comic book store Galaxy Comics to see what was going one. After a brief catchup with the staff and perusing the racks once again I noticed the flyer down below in the post that was announcing the first-ever “Kaiju Brooklyn” event.
