My thoughts on Rowoon leaving SF9 as someone who stans them since 2019:

Firstly, those of you who are not even a fan, who does not even follow Rowoon throughout his idol career and are here purely for the bandwagon, please kindly take a step back.

There has always been a reason why some fans knew this was coming and it's not because of the so called 'acting disease' which ya'll seem to assume. There's an unspoken reason which only true fans would know. He has been suffering from a herniated disc since 2020. Before that, he has been really involved with group activities but ever since the injury he sustained, he has not been able to fully participate due to the intense choreographies which he obviously wouldn't be able to do anymore.

Herniated disc is no joke and it doesn't just go away like any other minor injuries. Being put into acting projects is a more manageable and sustainable route for him to contribute to the company as well as his group's brand. Participating in multiple performances would just take a toll on his health because it's not just a one time performance, it's basically hours of practices and rehearsals which would be a sh*tty thing to do to yourself if you have a long ongoing back issues. His problem was so bad at one point that he couldn't even walk without the help of crutches.

It's a damned if you do and damned if you don't situation when it comes to Rowoon because when he priotises his health by not participating and doing other things to contribute instead, people get mad saying that it doesn't feel like he's part of the group then when he tries to participate like the latest comeback, people still get mad because of his dancing and bashed him for his lack of energy and passion. The man is still struggling with a herniated disc, of course he's not going to be able to dance as intensely as he used to. Unless you want him to break his back and paralyze himself in the future maybe.

To be honest, I can see why he may have felt slightly upset about the fans because of the bashing he received due to issues he has no control over. So before anyone mentions Eunwoo or Junho or whatever other actor idols out there who manages to juggle just fine, do they have any underlying health issues that could prevent them from performing choreo? Their situation is completely different so you can't really compare.

Sure, he can stick with doing the bare minimum choreo while aggravating his condition to become worse while also taking in all the bashing comments about his lack of energy for dancing but why should he? It will only make him feel guilty for bringing the group down because he would never be able to perform on par with them and he will only stick out like a sore thumb for all their upcoming performances.

So honestly, this is a right decision he made for himself as well as for his group members. Fans will just have to accept it whether they like it or not. I don't think he owes the fans any proper or detailed explanation for his decision because only real fans would know the truth from the start. If he were to state anything and reveal his vulnerabilities, it would just sound like an excuse to some people anyway so it's best that he does not mention it at all.

I expected Fantasies to be more understanding about his situation to be honest but I fully understand that the disappointment/anger felt are completely valid. I am too. I am disappointed that he's no longer SF9's Rowoon. But as a fan, I also could understand his struggles and the decision he made with him and his group members in mind. It is for the best. It's time for us to just move on and continue to support them as a group and support Rowoon on his new path as well.

If you find it difficult to support him after all this, then fine. You do you. But please don't invalidate the times where he has been nothing but an amazing member of SF9 who have contributed a lot to the group during their beginnings. Who has always been sweet, caring, and loving towards his members and fans. When they first started out, he was literally the PR of the group, going to various shows to promote the group as a rookie. When he started acting, and when he goes on shows, he would introduce himself as SF9 Rowoon while emphasizing on SF9. When he started gaining popularity and goes on shows with his group members, he would literally try to put the attention away from him and let the other members shine more because they deserve the attention as much he does. Please don't forget that Rowoon. Just as Rowoon is going on his new path, I hope that you'll erase all the negativity you might have felt and go on your own path as well.

“would you like to meet him?”

your head snaps towards your manager’s direction, eyes squinting with suspicion.

“why are you asking me this?”

junho shrugs his shoulders, “maybe if you two got along you wouldn’t mind it as much. you’ve probably heard of him anyway, he’s in the kpop industry.”

you weren’t unfamiliar when it came to kpop groups, you had quite a lot of songs in your playlists. you just weren’t an avid fan of it, probably only listening to title tracks and you didn’t know that many groups.

" lost boys " was a survival based reality tv show created by rainbow entertainment with the end goal of debuting a 7 member boy group after 7 weeks. 14 contestants competed on the show, 7 trainees from rainbow and 7 trainees who had freshly been accepted from auditions. it ran from december 20, 2017 to january 29, 2018 with episodes airing every monday. the contestants competed in different challenges that focused on different aspects of being in an active group, including dance, rap, vocals, teamwork, coordination, live performance, and adaptability. after each challenge, they were evaluated by judges who offered them feedback and critiques. each week, the contestants were ranked 1-14, with scoring based off of a combination of the rankings by judges, rankings by viewers, and rankings by their fellow contestants. there are no eliminations, which gives the opportunity for each contestant to improve and climb the ranks, with the top 7 contestants in the final episode getting the opportunity to debut in neverland.

➳. summary ; he was arguably the best contestant when it came to the rap challenges, and he really stood out for his dedication to making music along with his friendly personality. however, he was criticized for lacking the enthusiasm or dedication towards becoming an idol, and these critiques were later justified as he chose to pursue production for the company rather than continue training after the show ended.

➳. summary ; though widely loved by viewers for his humor and personality, he didn't consistently rank high enough on any challenges him to set him up as a real threat. he twisted his ankle right before the team performance challenge which severely damaged his scores.

➳. summary ; hardly standing out in any challenges and getting little screen time due to his introverted personality, he consistently ranked squarely in the middle each week. the only challenge he broke into the top 7 for being the vocal challenge.

➳. summary ; although he stood out in dance and performance challenges, he had an abysmally poor vocal challenge. a short clip of his voice cracking on a note change became a meme online, dooming his outcome in the rankings.

➳. summary ; previously a member of a boy group in japan, his participation in the show was rather anticipated. unfortunately, not used to the diligent style of performance and training the show required, he performed rather poorly in each challenge.

➳. summary ; very talented and very well loved, taeyoung was on track to be ranked in the top 3 in the final group when a bullying scandal broke with him right in the middle. rather than attempting to deal with damage control when the show was just about to end, he did not appear in the finale episode, later being categorized as disqualified. many fans were upset by this as he was many viewers' top contestant each week, some even following him from his trainee days. speculation resurfaces every once in awhile that he will debut as the group's 8th member due to his popularity, but it is always baseless.

Rant destroying the phrase "he talked one octave lower"

w/c: 711 words.

okay I gotta confess something- my biggest fanfic and books pet peeve is when they say their voice goes an octave (even worse if it's more than one octave) lower or higher, HAVE Y'ALL TRIED IT?! I mean talking one octave low doesn't seem that bad (even though I've tried going one octave lower than my talking voice and it's impossible for me to talk like that) BUT WHEN THEY SAY THAT SOMEONE'S VOICE IS LIKE THREE OCTAVES LOWER- bro- no 😭😭😭 Like just to put it into perspective 😍😍 let's say that someone (like me) talks around G3 (G/Sol is the note, 3 is the octave it plays) If I were to talk three octaves lower I would talk in G0, fine right 😍😍 WELL NO BECAUSE NOT EVEN A GUITAR BASS GOES THAT LOW😭

Telling you why down below 😘

To put it into kpop perspective. If I were to talk one octave lower, I would be talking into stray kid's Felix deep voice range. AND if I were to talk three octaves lower I would be talking two octaves lower than Felix's deep voice. Talk about talking like a demon.

(plus if Felix's were to talk three octaves lower , that's the example that made me write this, he would be talking around the octave -1 and the octave 0, which is ✨😍not possible😍✨)

Let's talk higher now, since I've also seen some examples. Going back to me, I talk around G3, if I were to go one octave higher that would be on my singing range, for example Violeta by Iz*one is in G major so to give an approximate idea on how high it would be, I would be talking in the range where they sing most of the pre-chorus (fun fact the "violeta" that goes to the chorus the "vio" part is in G4, the things you learn when you want to prove a point)

I can talk in that voice, sure, but let's look the three octaves higher 😍 Remember, my talking voice: around G3. Singing: can go to G4. But how does G6 sound like? 😱😍🤟

Remember playing in those kid pianos that are kinda big and you feel like a piano master playing random keys. Just me? Or remember those electric pianos that your music teacher, if you had one, had that you always wanted to just play one note for the funzies? Those pianos are usually between two kinds, a 49 key piano and a 61 key piano.

What octaves does each piano has? Well a 49 key piano has a range between C2 to C6. While a 61 key piano has a range between C2 to C7. (we're going to ignore the fact that the lowest note, the one you played at the end that sounded so deep after playing each note is higher then my three-octaves-lower-voice) So basically, my now three octaves higher voice would be that annoying note at the end of a 49 key piano that sounds so high you wanna punch someone (totally not bcs I'm autistic and hate high pitch noises)

Again, kpop perspective. Ateez's Junho high note in wonderland (the end high part on kingdom) is a B5... A B... FIVE, I would be talking 5 tones HIGHER than that. WJSN's Yeonjung hits a G5 in secret, so does Chuu in hi high, both just one octave lower than G6.

I looked up the highest kpop high notes, as of 2018-03-17 a video made by DareDB KPop Classic gave some examples of the highest notes sung by a female kpop idol, there are some examples on the G6, but it's mostly just trying to hit the note not holding it for a little. However I discovered something 😍😍😍 Shannon in masked singer hits a G6 singing to Mariah Carey's song "Emotions"

While I know and acknowledge that this is usually written from a place of either exaggeration, metaphor, or not knowing how much that is, I'm just a little shit who likes to question everything and hate on small things😘 You do you while I do I, I'll keep writing "their voice got lower" while you'll keep writing a thing that's not realistic/hj😘😘

Requested by anon: Hi, I was wondering if you could write a Taecyeon imagine. It’s his wedding day and he’s getting married to black idol reader who is a red velvet member. Is that possible?

Taecyeon adjusted his tie for the thousandth time in the past hour. He’d been greeting all of the guests as they arrived one after another heading into the venue. You were waiting in a separate room, guests going in and greeting you as well before taking a picture. Despite being mere meters away from one another, neither of you had had a chance to actually see one another - Taecyeon had tried, but your parents had insisted that he wait until you walked down the aisle lest it bring bad luck.

Both of your ears heard familiar cheers and laughs belonging to his group mates. You could hear them congratulating him outside in the open area before openly stating they were going to ditch him for your much more flattering and welcome company. They all ran into the room beginning similar cheers as they began hyping you up giving compliment after compliment, sprinkling some puns related to a few of your groups hit songs in the mix. Speaking of your group, you could hear the girls outside complimenting Taecyeon despite the cheering and shouting the boys were letting out as they argued about who got to be where for the picture.

“Obviously, I should be in the front next to her since they began dating because I introduced them,” Nichkhun reasoned, not waiting for an answer before sitting beside you, giving you a one armed hug. “Congratulations!”

Eventually the remaining guys resorted to a quick match of rock, paper, scissors to get their places, Chansung on the other side of you, Minjun directly behind you with Wooyoung and Junho on either side of him. The photographer took a few pictures before they got up wishing the best and heading out, your members coming and proceeding to do the same as the boys had done - argue over where everyone should be.

“I told her to accept when he asked her out,” Wendy pointed out, causing Seulgi to interject with the fact that she had urged you to tell him you him first.

This was going to be a long day.

You rung your hands nervously as you waited for your entrance to the venue to be announced. It made no sense really. You never got nervous before a concert or a music performance, you were always one of the more calm and mentally prepared members of your group when it came to those things. Yet you were practically shaking with thoughts passing through your head. What if Taecyeon found the dress absolutely repulsive? What if you face planted walking to him? Dear lord, that would be the end of you.

“Relax,” your father whispered, offering you his arm. “I won’t let you fall.”

Yoo Jaesuk (because we want this marriage to be forever) announced your entrance and the venue staff opened the doors allowing you to begin walking into the venue. Your eyes met Taecyeon’s right away - they were wide and he mouthed ‘wow’ unconsciously before lifting a hand up and wiping away at the corner of his eye. What was only roughly a minute walk from the entrance to the end of the aisle felt like a never ending thing. You simply wanted to be done and over with it. Finally be his wife and live happily ever after until you were both old and grey.

The officiant began the ceremony which seemed to pass much quicker for the two of you than it probably actually was and you were soon officially married. Proceeding with the traditional bow, you bent at the waist before going lower as you noticed Taecyeon go lower before he eventually dropped to his stomach and simply laid on the ground.

He rose and immediately wasted no time in pulling you close, kissing you gently, pulling away only to whisper something into your ear.

“I can’t wait to spend forever with you,” he smiled.

“Neither can I,” you whispered back, only looking away as Jaesuk announced the first people who were to sing to the two of you.

The boy group that was on the top of the world until the world began to change. From changing companies, to loosing and gaining members, RAVENS has been through the ringer. Now, after a break, the group has came back to not only reclaim their throne, but to leave a better legacy.

This is their second coming. Their second creation.

J A E

The brains behind the music, age 30

Jae is the leader of the boy group, maintaining his role since the first debut. Jae is not only the leader, but is also the group's main producer, singer, and performer. He is believed to be the glue that kept the group together throughout the hiatus and the many changes. However, is not only an idol; Jae is also a father to his twins Baekhyun and Chaeyeon with his wife Sora (of @elektra-world). The two met after Jae announced that she was his ideal type, the two then becoming the "Mom and Dad" of KPOP.

J U N H O

The muscle of the group, age 30

Junho is the group's main vocalist and one of the many visuals of the group. He is known among fans due to his attractive appearance and his strong muscles, which Junho appreciates as he worked very hard for them. He has no problem posting a picture or video on SNS of him working out or posing right after the gym. But, don't call him a brainless gym rat: his smooth vocals will have you falling in love with him. But, don't fall too in love with him. Junho is married to Jenna (of @elektra-world) and views her as his whole world. Junho isn't also afraid to post a picture of him and Jenna hanging out together, even posting a picture with him, Jenna, and his niece MinMin.

A X E L

The true underground king, age 25

Even though he wasn't part of the group long after moving to SM, then HYBE, Axel still has made an impact on the group and on fans alike. Due to his rugged look and his deep voice, fans have fallen in love with him, his deep voiced raps often trending on various social media sites. Even though he keeps his night life strictly night life, Axel does not mind flashing some of his expensive accessories and more if a fan notices. The only one besides his members that know about his night life is his girlfriend Chanri (of @elektra-world). She found out after coming along with him on one of his nights out. He also has brought her with him to attend some "meetings," along with visiting some popular underground clubs with her.

T A N

The hottest topic, age 25

Tan is one of the remaining original members of the first phase of the group, which was Bluestars. Tan has been with the group for long enough that fans have seen him grow up from 19 to his current age. His vocals have kept fans intrested in him, often being praised due to his stage presence and his ability to perfectly dance while singing. Tan is truly a jack of all trades. The woman behind the success is his girlfriend Kay (of @elektra-world). Her bubbly nature offered him a place of comfort when things got too hard and when the world got too heavy. While their relationship is not public information, he does have a folder of around 8 thousand pictures of the two together and just of her. She is his biggest fan, and vice versa.

R O M E O

Your first and only love, age 25

Romeo has also grown up in front of fan's eyes as he joined the group when he was only 19 years old (he's two months older than Tan). But, through getting many tattoos, exposing his old companies bad practices, and more, fans have adored the sub rapper and vocalist. Romeo has also gained a spot in many fan's hearts due to his charms and his honestly. But, there is also a woman in his heart: Yua (of @elektra-world). Romeo took his time with Yua, creating a perfect line for them to cross when they decided to date. Romeo has no problem with staying up all night with her, producing music, checking out clubs, playing mario kart together, etc. He may have been the fan's first love, but Yua is his.
