Re: Gibbs and Sarah Porter-
I mean, “Gut Check” (S9E11), when her pen is bugged? Why does he need to stand that close??
They also get a lovely elevator scene together.

Kristina Frye in s3e03, The Blood on His Hands
I'm OBSESSED with the lighting in these scenes and the way it changes Kristina. It's really effective use of chiaroscuro. Actually, the whole show does this well.
In the empty house, she's lit from above with a bright white light; it washes her out and makes her eyes look empty and dull. The flowing dress is a stark white; an empty, sterile white. It's obviously meant to evoke the afterlife, especially the way it illuminates her hair like a halo.
Conversely, back at CBI, in the gentle candlelight, she has an eerie glow in her eyes that seems to come from somewhere beyond her. She's obviously still alive -- her skin and clothes are warm in the dim light -- but she's weirdly vacant from herself.
She wears a clear crystal necklace. Crystal or rock quartz is associated with the crown chakra and can indicate self-actualization, ascension, clarity, introspection, etc. Naturally, all things you would associate with a medium or guru. Often it is used for meditation, healing, and amplification. Some seek to develop or strengthen psychic abilities with quartz because it is said to allow/enhance communication with nature or the divine. (most information found here)
Kristina wearing this necklace is almost a cruel irony. She hasn't "ascended" or reached a higher plane -- she's basically just brain-dead. Fake psychic or not, she can't communicate with spirits. If Red John dressed her and chose this item, he has a perverse sense of humor.
Lastly, check out these paintings that made me think of Kristina in this episode:

TALK RADIO (1988)
Grade: C+
Surprised I haven't seen this Oliver Stone film. Interesting how they did it mostly in real time. Eric Bogosian has been underrated forever it feels like. Found out after it was based off the life of a Denver radio host in the 80s.

Shadowbuilder (1998)
My rating: 5/10
This is very silly, though in a way that is not without entertainment value.
