"I sincerely feel that the country is on the verge of ruin, and unless the policy which governs our national affairs can be changed, we must soon end in national bankruptcy and a military despotism. Perhaps the former cannot be arrested, but the latter may; but in my opinion the policy can only be changed by a change of administration. Hence I am for a change, and I looked upon the election of General [George B.] McClellan as the last hope for the restoration of the Union and honorable peace and the security of personal liberty; and this you may publish to the world as my views on the pending crisis. I shall, with great pleasure, cast my vote for Gen. McClellan and [Democratic Vice Presidential nominee Representative George H.] Pendleton."
-- Former President Millard Fillmore, criticizing the Administration of Abraham Lincoln and endorsing Democratic Presidential nominee George B. McClellan in the 1864 election, in a letter to a Mr. Douglas of Brooklyn, New York, November 1864.

Happy Presidents’ Day to those who celebrate. On this day, it’s important to remember those who truly fought to hold their nation together, like me, who signed the Compromise of 1850, and uh. Uhmmmmm uhhhhh. Did other positive things for the nation. Uhmmmmmm uhhhh

After seeing the storyboard I sought this episode out, not sure then if it was actually real... I'm so glad it is.
Btw for context, people wanna elect the potato chip because it kinda looks like George Washington. And Millard Fillmore and James Madison are also in this.

Dear Fredits, I am an esteemed scientist who has done many things for science. Right now, my favorite president is the 13th president of the United States, Millard Fillmore (1800-1874). As part of the Official Fillmore Fanclub (The "Millies"), can you do a gobsmackingly spectacular edit of Freddie as him? Thank you dearly.

“Not My President” bumper sticker but it’s one of the super obscure 18th or 19th century presidents that nobody outside the U.S remembers.

@antebellumite to explain my millard fillmore tag, last summer @pranklinfierce and i collaborated on an (as yet unfinished) short story based vaguely on a terrible book we read. in our story millard fillmore never left the white house before the pierce presidency and lives in the boiler room having a nonstop party/orgy with assorted other historical figures who feed him raw fish. eventually they decide to try to scare the pierces out by pretending to be ghosts living in the walls. long story
