Okay, actually let me go back to bad boy Hwa for a second 😌 becauseeeeee I accidentally stumbled upon an old fic about him on AO3. Reader insert fics aren't very common there, but this one kinda looked familiar. I've realised it was the first Hwa fanfic I've ever read, one of my friends was very into it and we read it together on a plane back in 2019. My memory of it has completely faded away, so I was more than happy to re-read it and I still quite like it. It's called Sleazy Seonghwa Who Sneezes by chasingatinydream - the title is killing me, ajshauskahshsha. Also San is so cute, funny and chaotic there, bestie goals. I wish it was a bit longer and more fleshed out in some ways, but still it was pretty sweet story. I actually need to make a list of my fave Hwa stories, because I have one Shinestar in the making... someone who thought Seonghwa was a fictional character at first. ok so

you met each other on the train on your first day in Hogwarts, but only actually started talking in your second year

you were in the hospital wing because you broke your arm and he was there alone and hurt

he was bleeding a little and had a few new scars on his arms, how did he get so hurt?

you waited until he woke up and started talking to him, just to keep yourselves busy, you know?

after that day, you two kind of started being friends

Remus introduced you to his second family - the marauders - and they absolutely loved you

so they kind of adopted you as a part of their 'group'

after about 2 years of friendship you were like besties and he decided that he trusted you enough to tell you about his "furry little problem", as James called it

so he told you

he expected you to run away, curse him and people like him or never even look at him anymore

but you didn't

you didn't even flinch, just smiled sweetly at him and said that it was fine and that it didn't change who he was, and that you still loved him

he couldn't stop smiling but one thing disturbed his thoughts for the rest of the day: you said you loved him

but in a friendly way, of course

he was a monster, nobody could love him, right? wrong!

well, he decided to just ignore this little voice in his head and just act like always

Rem was doing fine and almost even forgot about his little crush on you until one day

when you got detention for one week because your fist accidentally hit a git's face because they were talking shit about werewolves

that was when he realized it wasn't just a little crush anymore

he may or may not be in love with you

he scolded you for getting in trouble because of things like this but you said you would do it again if necessary

he blushed a little tho

after that day you looked different to him

he started noticing things you always did but he never realised before

like the way you always bit your bottom lip when you were concentrated in something, or how carefully you always looked after him after a full moon, or how you always laughed at his stupid jokes even when nobody laughed at it

his eyes widened when he caught himself thinking about your smile and how soft your lips must be and how good it would be to kiss them

well, it looks like someone is in love *coughs*

he was all smiley for one minute, but then he remembered about his condition

and he told himself to give up because he was a monster and that you deserved someone better than him

he repeated it to himself everytime he started thinking about you

but after he saw Severus talking to you in Charms, something inside him started awakening

was he jealous? the answer is: yes, he was little jealous boy

he didn't know what in the bloody hell happened to him, but he just went to where you two were and said he needed your help with something

you went with him, of course, and gave Severus an apologetic smile

when you two went to his desk, you giggled a little seeing that all his homework was already done

he blushed a lot and said that he swore it was half finished when he left

“you know, rem” you started speaking between giggles “if you wanted to spend time with me you could have just said it”

boy was so embarrassed right now he could barely talk

he cursed himself mentally, how could he be so dumb?

when you were coming back to your seat, he remembered that tomorrow was Saturday and there would be a Hogsmeade trip tomorrow

gathering all of the courage he could find at the moment, he called you once again, almost immediately regretting it when you looked at him with your beautiful, sweet smile “Yes, Rem?”

there was no turning back now, he had to do it now or he would never be able to do it again

“I was wondering if maybe you want to go to Hogsmeade with me?”

he was so surprised when you said yes and gave his cheek a kiss before coming back to your place while giggling a little

he was so happy and Sirius definitely teased him for it

ok so let's skip to Saturday bc it would be enormous if i kept writing and writing and ok ill stop now

the next day remus was nervous

he started thinking it was a bad idea and that he shouldn't have asked you out but then he saw you and all these worries were long forgotten

you were so beautiful and looked so breathtaking he even forgot why he was so worried about

“so, let's go?” you asked with a smile and he nodded, a smile on his face as well

the whole day your hands were brushing each other and he was dying to just be able to hold your hand, but he didn't want to make you uncomfortable

little did he know you were thinking the exact same

you went to the Honeydukes, to The Three Broomsticks and even to Madam Puddifoot's

a lot of couples were there doing couple things and you and remus were just :|

you both were dying to just act like those couples but you were just to shy to confess your feelings to each other

when you finished your tea, Remus suggested to have a walk before you come back to the castle

you were walking side by side again and you slowly slipped your hand in his, locking your fingers shyly

he was smiling so much his cheeks were starting to hurt, his face and neck were tinted with a deep shade of red

ok, he thought, just say it now, Remus

“(Y/n)?” he called you so softly you almost didn't hear him

you just hummed, squeezing his hand to encourage him to keep going

“I wanted to tell you.. something”

“what is it, Rem?” you asked, looking at him

he stopped walking and breathed deeply, avoiding your eyes “Ikindofhavebeeninlovewithyouforalongtime” he said without pausing and you furrowed your brows in confusion

“you what?”

“I kind of have been in love with you for a long time and I felt like I should tell you, but it's okay if you don't feel the same, I totally understand like why w-”

“can I kiss you?”

he stopped talking at the same moment, looking at you with wide eyes before nodding slowly

you then shyly cupped his face, standing on your tiptoes (bc this boi is tall™) and pressed your lips to his for a few second

“that was good” he said shyly, rubbing the back of his neck “but, what does that make us?”

“I hope it makes us a couple” you said and giggled “by the way, I've been in love with you for a long time, too.”

you came back to the castle holding hands and smiling all lovey dovey at each other
