Barley Lightfoot with a tiefling s/o
A/n: most of my tiefling knowledge comes from dnd so I’m basing this off that lore
Tumblr media
First of all Barley thinks you are absolutely incredible, magical even. Everything from your beautiful horns to your long tail that wags when you’re happy he’s just so enamored but you
He’s mostly in love with your eyes, finding them to be similar to the ancient dragons of the realm, which fits with the arcane ability all tieflings have which was fire resistance and an ability to breathe and control it
You two play quests of yore religiously, and he always listens to you dump about tiefling culture and traditions to make his game more historically accurate that and he loves how your eyes (which are usually slits) go all wide and sparkily
Your natural heat makes you a great cuddle buddy, especially in winter when you get a ring of fur around your neck, it’s so soft and nice to cuddle into but a pain to take care of
You also use your tail to pull him into cuddle mode, or just whenever you want to be near him, of course he also pulls you (gently) by the tail to do the same.
Cuddling can be hard depending on horn shape and size but you two always find a way to make it work. Wether it be he snuggled into your tummy or you keep your horns on the shorter side
However he is always there to help you with self care, wether it be to help sharpen your horns or to help get the hard to reach areas when you have to shave your ring of fur for the summer months
Over all he loves you and defends your honor fiercely, no one is allowed to call you a devil or demon on his watch and anyone who mocks you for your horns and cloven hooves (if your lineage is more close to demons) need to be wary or else he will challenge them to a foam sword battle in the parking lot and win

any thoughts on the new fic Here With You? i feel like we're getting set up to get our hearts broken. again.
Uh...hehehe... 🥴
I...haven't read it yet... 😣
it's not that I don't want to! of course not! I love EsperHeart! their stories are absolute fire!
it's just...I need a good peace of mind when I read some of their stories and I agree! this one sounds very dark and angsty! 😈
I also know that it's going to be at least two or three parts (ok I read as far as the pre-notes but no further than that!) and that only the first part is out now, so who knows? I might wait until all parts are out OR if I'm up for it start reading it once I'm settled back into school next week!

"Wait, what the He– what the fuck happened, Aziraphale?! What about the Book? The Metatron? Why did you come back? Did it work?! What happened?"
Aziraphale opened his mouth, then closed it again. He suddenly looked a little embarrassed. Finally, face down and mumbling into his collar, looking almost a little non-directionally annoyed, he said, simply: "Pushed him."
"What? You what?"
Crowley's eyebrows rose higher than a kite; his mouth dropped open in the telltale way that usually sparked mischievous delight in Aziraphale. Even now, a little rebellious joy jumped up for a moment in his chest, before it was dragged back down into a pit of despair that had taken up permanent residence in Aziraphale's stomach. But a little pride stayed behind, lurking sinfully in the corners of his mouth.
“Pushed him. Into a bookshelf. And…” Aziraphale mimed a falling weight. “Buried him beneath it.”
Crowley, unlike Aziraphale, suddenly seemed not to have a single care in the world. Bastard that he was, he threw his head back and laughed, and the sound ripped so loudly through the silence of the bookshop that Aziraphale joined in nervously, just so he would have something to do.
"You pushed the Metatron into a bookshelf?"
"I just said that, yes. No need to repeat it back to me."
"Oh, you wonderful bastard."

Chenford + when did you fall for me?
"When did you fall for me?" He asks the question softly, knowing she'll hear it over the crackling of the fire and the intensity of her thoughts. It's quiet, almost like he doesn't want to ask, but he knows she'll hear his tone and know it's genuine.
She knows him in that way.
He hopes that for the most part, he knows her in that way, too.
Tim watches as Lucy chews on her lower lip in thought, his teeth pressing lightly into the skin of his own lip.
Something about the combination of the cool air, the wine she'd poured in his glass, and the way she's been smiling at him tonight have him buzzing beneath the surface – enough that he'd wanted to ask her this, enough that he wanted to hear the answer. They've been skirting around the reality of it: when did you realize we were oh-so-much-more, he assumes because she thinks it will derail them entirely, but more likely because...well, he's never actually asked.
It's been hard to wrap his mind around the idea that they're in this incredibly serious relationship when he doesn't remember any of it – and harder still to try and convince himself they shouldn't be. He knows what Lucy thinks: she thinks he doesn't understand, could never feel the way she feels, hasn't let himself drift into that mindset.
What he really feels is a hell of a lot more complicated, though. He gets it entirely, if not more because she's been actively loving him through this. He doesn't remember their relationship at all, and she's doing the work for both of them.
How could he not be hopelessly in love with her?
That's where it gets complicated, though – because he loves her for her, but he loves her for him, too. He needs to untangle that before he can let himself anywhere near her, truly – because she deserves a selfless love. She deserves someone who puts in the effort for her, who doesn't just love her because she loves them harder.
She lets out a soft laugh and pulls him back, raising her brow. "It's a bad answer," she offers, and Tim tips his head to the side, narrowing his eyes at her. "What? It is."
"Lay it on me," he shrugs, taking a slow sip of his wine. "I'm sure it's not that bad."
"It's a non-answer," she takes a sip from her glass, holding his gaze as she pulls it away from her mouth. "It wasn't one moment. I fell for you in a million little moments – hearing you call me Lucy after you handed me my final evaluation, offering me a ratty old pair of sweatpants when I stayed at your place after Jackson died," she offers him a sad, solemn smile. "Letting me talk my way into being your aide, inviting me to tear down your childhood home with your sister – god, even," she presses her hand to her face for a moment and he leans in closer, just wanting to be near her. "Even you calling me fucking goat whisperer in front of a date had me swooning. You don't even realize you're doing it, too – which is even more annoying. You just exist as this...wonderfully irritating version of yourself that I can't help but be ass over feet in love with."
Tim swallows, keeping his eyes focused on her. "If you had to pick one," he breathes, grinning as she rolls her eyes at him, visibly annoyed. "What? You said I was irritating, didn't you?"
Lucy bites on the rim of her wine glass, taking a sip and then setting it down. "Just one moment?" He nods, pressing his lips together. She sighs, tapping her fingers against her chin and then dropping them, humming over at him. "I think I really knew the first time you hugged me. That's cheesy and it's not really true, but I...we'd never," she pushes her hair off her face with a one-handed sweep and he wants to slide his hand over her cheek, bring her close, feel her breath on his skin. "We'd never touched like that before, and I didn't want you to let go. You...I stayed at your place," she has that expression she gets when she feels like she needs to fill in the gaps for him, and he nods slowly, hoping she'll breathe and calm down. "You invited me over after Jackson died, said I shouldn't be alone. You hugged me and I," she lets out a soft, hiccuping laugh, "I don't know, I didn't want you to stop. I didn't know what I was feeling then, but I know it now. You were keeping me still. You were grounding me," she shrugs. "Turns out, that's what we do for each other."
He lets out a slow, steady breath. "You knew you loved me, then?"
She hums in thought. "No," she laughs. "When I think about it now, I loved you something fierce, then. In the moment? I'd never been more confused about what I was feeling in my life. You were warm, and steady, and I could follow your heartbeat. You confused the absolute shit out me, but...somehow, a little less than everything else did," she smiles over at him softly. "So, everything you do now...just, unnamed."
Tim takes a sip from his glass, reaching over and grabbing her hand. He laces their fingers and squeezes them gently. "So what you're telling me is that we're on the same page," he murmurs, after setting his wine down. "Confused, but intrigued. Enamored, for some reason."
She raises her brows at him. "You're enamored with me, huh?"
He lets out a low, rough laugh. "I've been enamored with you for a long time I remember that much."
He's pretty sure Lucy's smile is enough to keep him asking her questions all night long.

"There he is. You've been down at the cut so much lately I almost forgot what you look like, Thornton." Kelce grins, high fiving his best friend. Topper chuckles, picking up a club. When Kelce catches sight of hickies starting to fade, he lets out a low whistle. "Damn, dude."
Toppers face reddened and he flips Kelce off on teasing. "She got called in to cover a shift. Before you ask. I'm starting to think you like my girl more than me, buddy."
"Nah, man. Just glad all that mopey shits behind-" Kelce trails off and the hard gleam in his eyes has Topper turning around. And he finds himself confronted by a crying Sarah.
And until recently, he would have absolutely rushed to figure out what's wrong so he could fix it. But looking at her now, he just doesn't care. He doesn't feel like hearing anything she has to say because it's likely he's heard it all from her before, to a point where her words have zero meaning. "What do you want from me?"
"I just want to talk. Please just let me talk."
"I'm not stopping you." Toppers jaw clenches.
"John and I got into it earlier. I..I can't be around him right now." Sarah fidgets, a sinking feeling grows in the pit of her stomach as she looks up at Topper. There’s something different. He looks so distant, his tone is so much colder than it was before. He almost feels like a stranger now and the realization has Sarah more than a little upset. Panicked because she’s gotten too comfortable, too used to him and she’s so afraid to lose him.
"Not my problem." Topper rolls his eyes. A part of him feels really bad for the way he’s acting towards her but then he stops and thinks about it, she’s the one who cheated on him. She’s the one who chose John B over him and set this all in motion. And she doesn’t get to do this now that he’s finally getting over her.
"He thinks I still love you. And I can't say he's wrong." Sarah’s words are shaky as they leave her mouth. And her stomach knots at the uncertainty she’s feeling right now. Everything about coming to find Topper feels wrong somehow and yet.. He’s a habit. She knows she needs to break free, she’s just too afraid because everything outside of the safety net he provides is scary.
,, but you’re about to learn to live with fear from the looks of it.” the thought comes, taunting as she stands there, shifty under his cold gaze. He feels even more like a stranger with each second this confrontation drags on, slow and painful. She’s tearing up all over again because she’s torn down the middle. ,, but you don’t really love him and you know it. Let go.”
Topper laughs. It's everything he would have died to hear last month -or anytime before that from her. And until his night with you maybe a small part of him held out just a sliver of hope but since his night with you, he's made up his mind.
It all ends with him and you. Against whatever comes up. He's fully prepared to wait as long as he has to for you to be in a better place if it means he gets to be with you.
"That's your problem, Sare. Not mine." Topper starts to step around her but she reaches out for him. Around the time he snatches his wrist away, it hits her.
She's finally lost him.
"Doesn't that matter?" she calls out after him. He stops and turns around. "You got what you wanted, Sarah. It's over."
As he makes his way over to where Kelce is standing, Kelce high fives him. "You're doing the right thing here, man. She was making you miserable."
"Yeah." Topper takes a shaky breath. It hurts, but the pain is nowhere near what he thought it'd be.

You've just gone outside for your smoke break when Pope wanders over, surprising you when he sits down on the ground beside you.
"If you're about to tell me JJ is hurting right now, Pope.." you trail off, taking a drag. It's your first cigarette of the day so your head swims. You lean your head back against the wall. "I'm sorry. I know. I hate it but I can't just go back to the way it was. And he's the one who went silent on me for–" you go quiet and breathe in, breathe out. The two if you sit in silence for a few seconds.
Then Pope speaks up.
"I'm more worried about you, actually. Topper is an asshole. And he could be using–" this time its you that silences Pope, shaking your head. "If he is then I'll learn a hard lesson. He's not like that with me, Pope."
"Yet."
"At all. Even when we butt heads about things, he's not like that with me." you reassure him. Pope rubs his chin. "Okay, well what if Sarah wanted to go back to him? Because she's been acting weird with JB lately."
You shrug and sigh. "If it happens, it happens. Honestly?"
Pope nods. You laugh quietly. "Kind of at this place with everything in which I don't care anymore. And no," you exhale after a long drag,"it doesn't have everything to do with JJ."
"You sure?" Pope asks, eyeing you in concern. "Because it kind of feels like it."
You thump your cigarette at the asphalt. "Absolutely sure."
Pope chuckles. " You're still my friend, __."
You smile and nod, "You're still my friend too. I'm sorry I haven't been around much lately. I'm gonna come hang soon, I promise."
Pope stands, offering his hand to you and you let him pull you up. "Don't let that prick hurt you, ___. If he does, you know where to find me."
You laugh and nod, giving him a thumbs up. Then you make your way back inside the Wreck. Kiara makes a beeline for you and you tense up, rolling your eyes as she pulls you right back out into the alley.
And as soon as the door swings shut, she's looking at you as if she's waiting on you to say something. Or like she wants to say something but she's not sure about it.
"What?"
" There's a date on Topper’s Instagram bio.."
"And?" you fold your arms. Waiting on her to get to the point. "Are you dating him now?"
You shrug. "We enjoy spending time together. Why's it matter, Kie?"
"It matters because Sarah and John B. got into it and she left the Chateau."
"And? If he wants her back, that's his decision. I'm tired of fighting so hard to make people stay or want me. I'm done." you go quiet after you say it. Sinking feeling in the pit of your stomach because you haven't met a guy yet who is capable of resisting Sarah Cameron.
"Yeah, well.. I warned you."
"Thought you and Sarah were thisclose now? Why bother?" you ask the question and apologize after because you feel bad for constantly being a bitch.
In your defense, it's hard to watch the boy you loved be happy with someone else, knowing you weren't enough and you never are.
Your own father couldn't even get away fast enough and he certainly didn't keep the promise he made to come back for you.
"We are, but.. I wanted to warn you, especially after I saw the date in his bio last night."
"What is the date?" you ask, and you're at least half convinced it'll be leftover from when he was dating Sarah and she just didn't notice it before now. When she lists off the date of the first time you hooked up with Topper, your mind is blown.
" Wait..what was the date agin?"
She repeats it and then asks, "Well? Be honest..are you with him?"
"It's kind of like…complicated. I mean..do I want to be? Yes. Have we been spending a lot of time together lately? Also yes. Does that mean we are? Nope."
"Wait…did you two.."
Instead of answering, you walk back inside. But what she's warned you about, it's festering inside your brain and you just know by the time you get off work, you're going to be so deep in your own mind that it'll be pathetic.
And you told yourself this wasn't going to happen again if you could help it.
,, there goes I'm never catching feelings again." the thought comes and you take a deep breath.
CONTINUED
You've just clocked out and you're exhausted. All you want to do is go home and collapse and preferably, not think for a while because what Kiara warned you about earlier.
Because in your mind, it's inevitable.
You're more than a little surprised to walk out of the restaurant and find Topper leaned against the lamppost nearby, one hand in his pocket. He spots you and he's smiling. Walking towards you.
"Hey pretty girl." he pulls you up against him and you breathe him in deep.
But you're not saying anything because of course you're not, you're in your own head again.
And Topper picks right up on that.
"Something wrong?"
"No. I'm fine, it was just a really long and busy day."
"Uh huh. You wanna try that again, love?" he asks, gently gripping your jaw to make you look him in the eyes. You swallow hard. "I'm fine. I mean it."
"You're not though." Topper insists.
He's starting to get this bad feeling. And he doesn't like it, makes him feel like he's backed into a corner.
"How'd golfing go?" It's an honest attempt to steer the conversation off you.
He totally surprises you with his answer though.
"I think Sarah knows it's finally over and I'm done for good. She uh..she came by while we were playing. I told her I didn't want to hear anything she wanted to say because you were right..she only wants me when John upsets her."
You need a second to process. You melt against him as the tension leaves your body. He picks up on that too but he doesn't say anything because he knows you're not quite there yet.
You haven't figured out how you feel and you're trying to work through a lot.
He's trying to show you that you can trust him and depend on him. So if that means waiting, leaving everything undefined, so be it.
For now.
"Sounds like you had a day too." You're finally pulled together enough to look up at him and you laugh quietly. "Kie was being nosy earlier. She told me Sarah and John B got into it and Sarah left his house." and you're doing what you think is your best to hide the way it rattled you even though you've been mentally preparing yourself for the end because you're positive that it's coming.
He picks up on that too.
Again, he acts like he hasn't. He just nods and looks down at you in concern. "You're okay though, right?"
You nod and you're actually able to give him a weak but convincing smile. Then he's scooped you up, carrying you over to the spot he parked his Jeep. Placing you into the passenger seat and he leans in to steal a kiss that you willingly oblige him.
You laugh to yourself softly. Smile as he goes around to get in his own seat. As the Jeep heads away from the lights of town, you glance over at him and he chuckles.
"No, we're not going back to your house. It's a surprise, okay?"
"Okay." you finally can't resist a second longer, you need to touch him. In some way. So you slip your hand into his, cautious and hesitant at first but then he slides his fingers between yours, giving your hand an oh so gentle squeeze. You give him three little squeezes and he turns into a deserted parking lot. It's getting late so even the tourists aren't lingering on the beach. You drag your finger over his knuckles softly and he nods to the lighthouse across the water.
You follow his gaze. "It's the old lighthouse." you laugh softly and shake your head. He looks over at you and you explain, "I always wanted to go over there. But when we were kids.." you trail off, frustrated because literally every part of your childhood features JJ Maybank and lately, it makes you bitter.
"Nevermind. It's dumb, anyway. I was scared of the place, I guess."
He gives your hand a reassuring squeeze. "You don't have t' do that, you know.."
"Do what?" you ask.
"Censor every happy thing just because the asshole who hurt you was a part of it." Topper answers, chuckling quietly when you immediately apologize and follow up with, "Trust me, you want me to. You guys hate each other and I'm not.. I'm not trying to make you feel like we're.. whatever this is, is less important, okay? Like..I don't want you to feel that way because I get the feeling she did it a lot.."
He nods, going quiet. "She never wanted t' come out there with me." he admits, laughing, "And its kind of the place I go when I want to.." he pauses, "when I need to get away."
The fact that he's now asking you is a huge deal for him. And you're not stupid, you know that. You're blown away that he wants to let you in on things, on a side of him that almost nobody else gets to see. And it means so much to you.
,, you know what will happen if you fall too hard." it's there, lingering in the back of your mind but you shove it down because you just want to enjoy this while you have it.
" I wanna go. Will you take me, Topper?"
He chuckles and nods. "That was my plan, love."
CONTINUED
When he's tied the boat off, he turns to you and motions for you to turn away from him. You do what he wants, laughing softly. Topper ties a navy bandana over your eyes and you laugh. "What's this for?"
"If I tell you, it's not a surprise anymore."
"Okay, but stairs?"
"I'm going to carry you, love."
"You don't have to do that.."
He's nosed your hair away from your neck and his lips trail over the side. "I know I don't have to, love. I want to." and the way his minty breath tickles your ear has you shivering as you giggle. He nips at a fading love bite and you can't help the little moan that slips out when he does it. Before you realize it's happening, he's scooped you up bridal style and he's walking with you. You bury your face in his neck and he grips you just a little tighter when you do it.
He's made it to the steps, you can feel each one. "Can't you just give me a hint?"
He laughs. "Could...but I won't."
"Top." you whine against his neck and he bites back a groan because his mind immediately goes to all the other times he's made you whine lately. He swears under his breath as he works the padlock off the door leading to the big light at the top of the lighthouse.
"Something wrong?"
"Not at all, love. Relax, alright?" Topper coaxes as the way he's picking the padlock finally works and the rusty lock falls to the floor of the landing with a thud.
You tensing up just a little has him snickering about it. "Relax, love. Everything is fine. I totally do this all the time." -except he doesn't, actually. This is the first time he's come all the way to the lights atop the lighthouse.
It's also the first time he's picked a lock.
But he practiced earlier when he came out to set everything up. Now he just has to hope nobody gets nosey and comes to check on things. Hope he's hidden his boat well enough not to be seen by any late night swimmers or other boats.
He steps into the narrow windowed room and reluctantly, he stands you on your own feet. Then he removes the blindfold to reveal sleeping bags, pizza and the flowers he got you earlier and he watches as your face fills with a soft smile. You turn to him, throwing your arms around his neck as you melt into him.
Because no one has ever done this for you.
"I love it. You can see the whole island, almost." you’re in awe of the view through the ceiling to floor windows because Kildare is lit up and it’s so pretty. And peaceful. Being in the tower feels like being in your own little bubble with him and after the day you’ve been having, it’s needed.
You've grabbed both of his hands in yours and he leans down into you, his forehead against your own. Nose to nose and body to body as the sun vanishes on the horizon and reds, pinks and oranges give way to purples and blues. The stars are starting to come out as the two of you settle in on the sleeping bags he snuck in up here earlier, cuddled up as close as you can both get to each other.
For now, everything is peaceful. You can almost forget the constant war between your mind and your heart…

We Last Forever: A Cottage in the South Downs
Aziraphale took Crowley’s hand and the pair materialized seconds later on a grassy lane. The weather was pleasantly warm. A light breeze swept across the hills carrying the smell of the sea. It was quiet, save for the buzzing of bees and the crashing of waves somewhere in the distance.
In front of them stood a cottage. It was two stories with a thatched roof. Ivy crawled up the stone facade, rendering it nearly invisible from the road. The garden gate was rusted and paint peeled from the front door. The cottage looked abandoned and yet…
Crowley stepped towards the house and was suddenly overcome with the most curious sensation. He couldn’t quite describe it but whatever it was, it felt the opposite of spooky.
“What’s this?” Crowley asked.
“A house.”
“I can see that. Whose house?”
Aziraphale twiddled with a pair of keys in his hands. “Um, mine. Technically.”
Crowley turned back to Aziraphale in surprise.
“I bought it a while ago,” Aziraphale explained. “I asked Agent Shadwell and Madame Tracey to keep an eye on it when I… when I left for Heaven.”
Aziraphale stilled and looked to the ground. When he spoke again his voice was quieter; his expression pained.
“I wasn’t supposed to keep it. I was instructed to let go of all my earthly possessions upon my promotion,” the angel sneered at the word and Crowley instinctively wrapped his hand around Aziraphale’s. Crowley was only beginning to understand just how long it would take for each of them to heal from the hurt caused by Heaven, but they would heal in time; they had each other now. Crowley squeezed Aziraphale’s hand gently and the tension in the angel’s shoulders lessened.
“But I didn’t get rid of it,” Aziraphale whispered. “I couldn’t because I, um… Well, I bought this house for us actually. I had always hoped we might live here one day.”
A loaded pause followed Aziraphale’s words and Crowley’s mind went blank. Aziraphale had bought this house for them? Why? How? When? His shock must have read clear on his face because Aziraphale hurriedly continued.
“Oh dear, please don’t misunderstand. We don’t have to live here. I just wanted to show you because I thought maybe– actually, goodness, what am I saying? This was far too presumptuous. I apologize. I’ll sell it. Let me grab the paperwork from inside and-”
“Is that a conservatory?” Crowley asked as his eyes caught sight of a glass structure beside the cottage.
“For your plants, yes.” Aziraphale blushed. “Would you… like to see it?”

To write or draw is like deciding to sit in a Time Machine. Nothing makes the hours fly by faster than unpaid blorbo labor.
I sat down with the intention of writing for 2 hours. It has now been 3.5 hours. I’m dehydrated, I’m hungry, my eyes are dry from not blinking for 20 minutes, and I have somehow managed to bend my neck into a pretzel knot.

Chenford + "I don't need your permission."
“Hi, baby.” Lucy’s voice is quiet. Her touch is soft against his cheek. He swallows as the mattress shifts slightly, her bent knee pressing into his upper thigh as she sits. He knows she thinks he’s sleeping (he’s pretending to be asleep) and he likes it that way — she’s less careful around him. “You look a little better.”
Tim tips his head against her hand and huffs out a slow, sleepy breath. He had been asleep before — but she’d been puttering around the cabin for and even with her best efforts to keep quiet, he’d woken up after a while. He’s had a migraine — a fun side effect of the whole brain injury thing — since late last night, but it’s finally starting to fade. Lucy hums and he feels her thumb brush lightly against his jaw. “I hate seeing you in so much pain, love. You think you hide it well, but you get this little pinch between your eyes,” the pads of two of her fingers press against his forehead, tapping it lightly, “and grumble at me until it gets too bad for you to pretend it’s not there. That’s still you.”
Tim wants to open his eyes, to blink up at her and tell her he’s still himself, even if he’s missing some integral pieces. He wants to grab her and kiss her and lie — say he remembers all of it, call her love the way she says he does, tell her she’s the strongest fucking person he knows and make her feel better for once, instead of worse. He may not have it all back — he may not have most of it, if he’s being honest — but he has her…and she probably wouldn’t believe him, but she’s the most important person in his life by a mile. She’s everything to him, especially now. He wants her to believe in him — this him, the him who knows without a shadow of a doubt that he could fall in love with her if there wasn’t this dark cloud hanging over their heads. He tips his face a bit further into her palm, pressing his lips to her skin softly. He wants a lot of things when it comes to her, to them — that doesn’t necessarily mean he can have them.
“You awake?” Lucy’s fingers card through his hair gently and he hums, low and deep, sleep flooding the noise. He’s groggy and he sounds it. “How’s your head?”
Tim sighs, blinking open his eyes slowly and peering up at Lucy, who’s got her hair hanging around her face loosely. He yawns, his head throbbing a little. “It’s alright,” he slides his hand over her bare knee, licking his lips as he squeezes it lightly. “Better than earlier. I think the ice pack helped.”
Lucy tips her head to the side, her brow furrowed as she looks down at his hand, then back up to his face. “Good,” she nods, and slides her free hand over his own, brushing her thumb over his knuckles.
Tim surveys her, his expression softening a bit as he takes her in — one of his worn out LAPD t-shirts hits the middle of her thighs and a tall pair of white socks stretches up over her calves, but otherwise she’s a long stretch smooth, warm, bare skin. He can’t help himself — he doesn’t bother trying to pull his eyes away. “Is that my shirt?”
Lucy shrugs, raising her brows with a smirk. “Yes. I don’t need your permission, do I?”
Tim tugs at the hem lightly with his free hand, sitting up a bit as a dull throb aches behind his eyes, settling back down against his pillow with a grumble. His ears rush as he lets out a slow breath, squeezing her knee lightly. “No, no. Looks better on you than it does on me, sweets.”
He doesn’t know where it comes from, but he thinks it sounds good rolling off his tongue. It certainly applies – she’d taken care of him all last night and this morning in a subtle enough way that he’d only noticed she was worried once. She’s sweet to him, generally – but it had felt like something more. Lucy coughs, staring at him for a long moment. She flexes her fingers against his knuckles. “Calling me sweets, now?”
Tim rumbles, a smile stretching slowly over his face as he tugs at her t-shirt hem again. “Yes. I don’t need your permission, do I?” He uses as much of a mocking tone as he can muster, but moves to pull her down to lay him. Lucy moves slowly, but settles herself with her back against his chest, burrowing back against him as he wraps his arm around her and presses his face down into her hair. She smells like pine trees and vanilla and a touch of lemon-scented cleaning solution — he’d figured that’s what  she’d been up to earlier, but this confirmed it. It’s a mixture he’s pretty sure he’d hate on anyone else, but it works on Lucy — it’s attractive, even. “You said you’re always trying to convince me to nap, right?”
Lucy nods lightly, her laughter reverberating against Tim’s chest. “You still hate naps, I haven’t talked you out of that yet.”
Tim hums, resting his chin against her shoulder. “Take this one as a freebie, then,” he mumbles through a yawn, squeezing her again.
Even though his eyes stay closed, he waits until he feels her breathing go even to let himself fall back asleep.

WIP Wednesday
currently editing chapter 2 of Riding Many a Mile - full chapter will be posted tomorrow but here's a lil snippet
The regularity of their schedules at Fenrir is broken up by the weekly deliverance of mail.
Most of the letters the other soldiers receive, while uninteresting, are valuable. They serve as their single point of contact to the outside world. Mukuro looks upon those points with barely hidden disgust: the weekly mail piles consist of mostly porn, dirty magazines that the men pass around gleefully like animals.
She pays no attention to the rejoicing around her. She never receives any letters.
She does send them, though; she writes out letters to Junko once a month like clockwork, and just as reliably never receives a reply.
Once, one of the other women had asked her why she kept writing. Mukuro hadn’t known what to say; it had never occurred to her not to.
She doesn’t blame Junko for not replying, if she’s being honest. There was nothing in her letters worth replying to; even by her own standards, they were boring. There isn’t much change in Mukuro’s day to day life. The letters included nothing more than details about the weather, her sleeping conditions, and the occasional aftermath of a battle. Junko probably ripped them all up, Mukuro thinks, and then squashes down the immediate prick of disappointment that follows that thought.
But today, a letter addressed to her finds its way into her hands.

I love your fics so much!!! And I had a thought for your "Of Coffee and Conversations" So Chay deciding that if Kim won't tie him up or leave marks on him he's going to have one helluva time doing it to Kim. Maybe buying a vibrating butt plug and making Kim wear it and controlling the vibrations as punishment for Kim not being the "rough" that he knows Kim wants to be with him... Just an idea 😏👀
Thanks for liking “Of Coffee and Conversations”! I appreciate that so much!
For the time being, and since I’m lovingly forcing @shouyo-yo to create comics alongside these fics, I’m going to refrain from writing any explicit smut into this series. That might change, but as of now, Kim and Chay are just having raunchy conversations. I hope you’ll still keep reading OCAC though!
That being said, I love a good prompt. 🖤
Warning: The following has anal play, sex toys, orgasm denial, and use of restraints.
Kim’s not sure how he got here, wrists tied to his headboard, his nightshirt pushed up to his chin, his boxers sitting incredibly low on his hip bones. He imagined that Porchay would take their previous conversation and go wild. In fact, Kim figures he should blame himself. He did, after all, ask Porchay to be rougher with him.
He didn’t expect Porchay to go balls to the wall though.
“Did you drug me?”
“No. You just sleep really deeply after a session at the studio.”
“Right.”
“You do. Like a bear.” Porchay has his back to Kim as he looks through his sock drawer. He rummages through until he finds what he’s looking for. “Ah! Got it!” He turns back to Kim. “It’s new.”
“What’s that?” Kim asks, not scared, but curious. He cranes his neck, but he can only see Porchay and not what he’s holding.
“A present.”
“Oh? For me?” Kim teases.
“Yeah.” Porchay crawls into the bed, settling himself neatly into Kim’s pelvis. Kim feels his dick twitch underneath Porchay’s ass. “I’m taking your advice.”
“It’s about time.”
“It’s too bad you have that magazine shoot tomorrow.” Porchay’s face hovers over Kim’s. “The biting and scratching is what I really wanna do.”
“That really is a shame,” Kim drawls.
“So I had to come up with an alternative.”
“Oh?”
Porchay finally reveals what he’s holding. Between their faces, Kim sees an average sized black silicone plug.
Aw, that’s cute. Kim smiles sweetly. He wishes he could be intimidated, but he’s had a rich sex life. Bottoming isn’t new to him, and the plug is nothing compared to what he had fucked himself silly on before going steady with Porchay.
He admires Porchay’s tenacity.
“I think I’ll like the alternative.”
“I hope so,” Porchay whispers, his fingers dragging Kim’s boxers down.
“I hope you have lube-“
“Of course I do,” Porchay says, lightly kissing Kim’s mouth before trailing down his chest.
Kim inhaled sharply. Porchay’s breath tickles his skin, and being flat on his back is strange; he can’t see what Porchay’s doing, but he feels everything. Like the soft, wet stripe that Porchay leaves across his ribs, the little bite Porchay makes on his belly. As Kim expected, Porchay kisses him everywhere except where he aches the most: his cock is more than ready.
But with the snap of the tube’s lid, Kim knows Porchay has other plans.
Kim doesn’t wait. He spreads his legs before Porchay can ask.
“I think you like this alternative too much.”
“What can I say? I have an open mind.”
“Do you?” Porchay’s fingers, slick with a cool substance, trace around Kim’s rim.
He sucks in a breath when Porchay’s finger presses inside.
“I guess you do have an open mind.”
“Are you calling me a slut?” Kim demands, trying hard not to sound so needy. But he feels his ass swallowing Porchay’s finger.
“Mmm,” Porchay wonders. “No.”
After a few thrusts, a second finger twists its way in, and Kim whines.
“Or maybe I am?”
Kim grits his teeth. God knows he’s had worse done to him, but it’s Chay, and it’s Chay’s voice and his fingers all up inside him, just barely touching, fucking Kim where he needs it. “Not as rough as I thought you’d be,” he manages, desperate to hold onto whatever pride he’s got left.
He knows he’s slipping, though.
Porchay pulls away from his lover, and Kim is breathless with the loss of contact, straining against the ties. His lover liberally douses the plug in lube before looking back at him.
“I’m not cruel,” Porchay whispers as he begins to push the plug into Kim.
Kim goes lightheaded, sees black splotches in his vision. The only mercy is that he can’t see Porchay pushing the toy into him because he’s certain that doing so would cause him to snap. He gasps as Porchay works the tip in.
And they know the plug’s only getting wider from there on.
“Chay,” Kim moans.
“Kim. You look so good,” Porchay whines as if he’s the one about to be plugged up. “Can… can you take it all?”
“Fuck, yes, keep- Ah!” Kim cries out when he feels his ass stretch again, pride left dead and forgotten.
Chay gives Kim’s thigh a trembling kiss when the final bit of the plug is nestled into his lover. Kim’s panting when Chay sits up, drinking in the sight: his idol boyfriend, tied down, plugged up, sweaty and needy from him.
“Not rough enough?”
Kim’s dazed. He can’t answer. He’s had worse, but nothing has ever felt so blindingly good. Full.
“I’m not cruel,” Chay says, reaching into his pocket.
Suddenly, Kim feels vibrations tearing through his body. His back arches as he cries out Chay’s name.
“Or maybe I am.”
