“Few people know how to take a walk. The qualifications are endurance, plain clothes, old shoes, an eye for nature, good humor, vast curiosity, good speech, good silence and nothing too much.” —Ralph Waldo Emerson
Passing on That Sense of Adventure to Others in Photos by Mark Stevens

While approaching the Rio Grande Gorge with a view to the northeast and bridge crossing. This is in northern New Mexico not far from Taos. The ridges and peaks off in the distance are of the Sangre de Cristo Range and Taos Mountains.
YES YES I NEED THIS SIGN IN EVERY SINGLE PARK PLEASE
This is my daily struggle, I had so many arguments with people with off-leash dogs (in a mandatory leash area!!!). Thanks to this behavior I'm struggling with Kim being anxious/aggressive with other females as she often gets involved in unpleased interactions with free females while on leash. And every single time that I ask for the dog to be at least recalled, I'm being called names and insulted of course.
Also 9 out of 10 their dog isn't really that friendly at all.
the whole guilt-tripping language in posts about important topics paired with how I'm still getting bitches in my notes talking about why it's actually good to tell "bad" people to kill themselves continues to prove to me that a lot of people have absolutely no concept of social justice or activism outside of assuming the worst of and then viciously attacking strangers on the internet
going through my old journals as part of therapy homework and i'm reading a section written in the emotional wreckage of a full-on breakdown when i get hit with this line:
There is never a satisfying answer to ‘Why didn’t they love me?’
An Australian Beach Scene by Lutfi Shedraway

Out of Adelaide, I would venture to different sites, my work mates and my colleagues would recommend. I take my tent, my drinks, my sleeping bag and other stuff for camping including a small charcoal BBQ. I would pick a place and sleep 1 or more nights. This is one place I visited in my trips. Where I snapped the photo from, was the place I camped, and my tent is behind me. Of all my trips, Australia was the most memorable. I had fun with camping and photos shooting. The mild weather added appeal to be outdoors. Unlike Florida nowadays, where the heat index is up in the 110 degrees F and the beach water feels like hot shower water, keeping most of us indoors enjoying the cool air from the ACs. When I was younger I never really understood why fictional hyper-competent women would fall for well meaning but really dumb & weak men like Futurama’s Fry (NOT himbos) until I grew up and basically became non-binary fry &people love me bc I’m sweet & stupid
genuinely i think it's important for adults, especially in the plague times, to play pretend in our day-to-day lives. when i rub my back down with tiger balm so i can sleep without pain, i imagine i am a valiant knight tending to an old injury i received from a dragon. when i go to the store to pick up eggs and milk, i am a lone cowboy riding into town on a mission. when i turn my collar up against the wind i am a femme fatale who's killed 4 husbands and is scoping out a 5th. when i stomp around in the snow i am a doomed polar explorer. if being a little bit silly about my walk to the pharmacy helps me remember that life can be full of joy and whimsy, then so be it.
People Walking to the Columbia Icefield (Jasper National Park) by Mark Stevens

With this wide angle view, I wanted to capture not just the people walking to the icefield over the ridge, but also the amazing view we all had to have with Mount Andromeda on this clear day.
