I don't know why but I love it when people make Mona Lisa as the very bold and most flirty of the relationship while people make Raph a literal tsundere and someone who can't handle flirting. Honestly if he was still an angry and aggressive cinammon roll he'd probably would act like that in cannon I don't know.

I’m rereading the Harry Potter series again and currently on Chamber of Secrets. But man, do I love the Weasley siblings. Minus Percy, he’s a stick in the mud. But the oldest are fun and I’d love for them to be my brothers. Fred and George are, well, Fred and George. They’re iconic for a reason. Add in Ron and Ginny, then you’ve got the ultimate big family.

confession time: i do not. like nico di angelo as much as the whole fandom does. i don't know whyyy his character just feels soo on the nose to me. like. ghost king emo and also everyone is freaked out by him and he doesn't belong anywhere and its so angsty and he cant catch a break. and then solangelo feels even MORE on the nose to me because of the whole sun and moon thing. i have TSATS and i wanted to see if they developed the relationship but apparently they were really badly characterized and they just made them a copy paste of percabeth or smth so (i haven't finished reading it yet though) i do like him and the ship to an extent though. maybe i just don't like how he's written in the books ._.

Random Opinion #7 (Game Spoilers for MAFIA!)

I finally finished MAFIA Definitive on Classic difficulty and I gotta say, it was great. I won’t lie, though, playing on Classic nearly made quit a good couple times, but getting to the end was worth it!

However, that isn’t what I’m hung up on currently...

Paulie and Sam deserved better.

I mean, obviously, I know that ain’t really a stretch to say, but it fucks with me. I’m not saying Tommy is at fault, nor the writers of the game originally for that matter. It’s just... Paulie just wanted out. Of all the reasons, it was the most understandable. He was with Salieri’s crew for years! We’re told and shown that he has done things that would break most people! And what does he have to show for it? A rap sheet that from end to end could cover all of the Midwest and a reputation of being a wild card. It’s understandable, if a bit skeptical, for him to want out.

Sam, though, I just feel sorry for. He’s been in the business nearly as long as Paulie. Heard the same thing about loyalty, over and over again. See what happens to people that seemingly break that loyalty. I can easily imagine the flight or fight instincts kicking in, after hearing from the Don that Tommy and Paulie needed to be taken care of, and for that money to be brought back to Salieri. He knew what would happen if he didn’t do what his Boss told him to do. He also knew what that would make him, if not in the eyes of the people around him, if he DID do what his Boss told him to do.

A traitor.

So. Either be a traitor to your friends, who have saved your ass more times then you can count. Or. Be a traitor to the only family you know, who’ll decide to make your life a living Hell, before dumping your remains into the river with weights.

He was fucked from the moment he talked with the Don.

Anyway, the game is really good. I highly recommend it. I also think playing on Classic gives the best feeling for some of the missions, where you fight impossible odds, but that’s at your desecration.

I came across American Born Chinese by Gene Luen Yang years and years ago.

I read it.

I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I recently discovered that Disney was making an adaptation of the book when by chance I saw the book with a cover for the live action adaptation.

I watched the trailer.

I did not thoroughly enjoy it.

On the whole Dorian thing...

I have... I’m gonna say mixed feelings at best.

On the one hand, companies and properties change hands all the time. This isn’t new in the least, and yeah, sometimes it concerns things that have become near and dear to me. One of my favorite anime is called ‘Full Metal Panic!’, and through the years, in both animated and manga form, it has been handled by many different people and companies. With every change there’s always been some trepidation because the characters and the story are really important to me, and I want them to be handled in the best way possible, because I love them so much. So far, despite running into issues that has left that fandom with years between updates to finish the animated portion of the story, the faith that it would be handled as it should be has been thankfully repaid.

So with this experience, I honestly wasn’t too bothered to learn about Dorian having more tales added to the Arcana. But, that being said, I’m also skeptical as well. I will admit that most of this skepticism has come from basically the salty attitudes of everyone else in the fandom. There’s very few people I actually interact with in the fandom, even a little bit, because so many of them feel like they already decided anything else that comes out for it will be shit, and have their heels dug in about certain aspects of the game and its characters, and I honestly have no energy to deal with that drama when I’m just trying to enjoy myself. Sorry my dudes, but it’s true.

I do have my hopes that those fans who have been taken under the mantle of ‘ambassadors’ will do their part to keep the characters and any new content that comes out true to who they are without bias, but that’s also a factor on why I’m a little on edge as well. Also, like many out there, I’m admittedly not thrilled about needing yet another app on my devices to get more content. I don’t believe that’s a good decision, but I understand why they still made it. Dorian is a company, and the best way to draw more attention to other properties is by having more people download the app and look through their stuff. I get it, but that doesn’t mean I like it.

Still, I will give them a chance to prove themselves. It may sound like a foolish leap of faith, but as a fan in general of many things, Dorian will be given the opportunity to put their best foot forward. At the very least, they do still have Gabriella doing the CGs for them, so maybe that’s a hint things won’t be as bad as the rest of the fandom has already decided it will be. The worst that can happen is that the new stuff is shit, and all of us uninstall the app and pretend it doesn’t exist. It’ll be sad, but that’s the truth of it. My only hope is that if the new tales that come out are good, and if they are quality tales, that maybe Dorian will reconsider and also have them available on the Arcana app at some point in the future, if for no other reason than the fact that it would be nice to have everything in one place.

I love listening to music in languages I’m learning

It’s the best when I don’t understand 80% of it but I know some of the words and I can get a basic idea. I like bopping along and learning bits along the way. Like, I’m really bad at French and trying to learn by listening to people speak it fluently hurts my brain. But French synthpop? J’adore ecouter de la synthpop français. Idk if it’s just me but it really helps me learn (especially when I loop it because it slaps).

body issues are all valid but let's be honest, "you're skinny" is not any more or as insulting as "you're fat" because being skinny has always been the standard, even today's idea of "thick" is just skinny with butt and boobs. no one ever wants to be fat and no one ever tells you that you have an unhealthy lifestyle right off the bat when you are skinny. I understand it hurts but it wasn't even a competition of what's more insulting until skinny girls acts as if it's the same. It's not. The beauty standards has always been leaning toward skinny girls.
