Romione Fic Preview: Virgo's Groove

My first snippet!!

When I first heard "Virgo's Groove" on Beyonce's Renaissance album, it was screaming to be turned into a Romione fic. Dedicating this to @comradekarin, who is hopefully not the only person on this damn app to fully appreciate that with me lol. Fic takes place in Deathly Hallows when Lupin comes to Shell Cottage to share the news of Teddy's birth. Originally written for the @romione-trope-fest (lol guess which trope) but I didn't get my shit together in time 🙃

"A boy!" exclaimed Fleur to Ron and Hermione as Lupin made a beeline towards Harry. "A Taurus boy! 'Zis community needs more earth signs. Can you believe 'zere are nine Weasleys but no earth signs?"

"Hermione's an earth sign," Ron piped up. "I reckon you both have the same sign actually."

Fleur cast wide eyes at Hermione. "'Ermione, you are a Virgo as well? But of course you are!"

"Why 'of course?'" asked Hermione, brow furrowed.

"You 'ave all 'ze Virgo traits. 'Ardworking, perfectionist—"

"Controlling," added Ron, snickering. Hermione glared at him. Fleur watched the interaction with a knowing smile.

"Sensual." Fleur winked at Ron. "Especially when it comes to our opposite sign."

That got Ron to stop smiling.

"How about some wine to celebrate?" Bill announced.

"Oh yes!" Fleur exclaimed with a clap of her hands. "'Zere is much to celebrate," she added, throwing Ron and Hermione another impish look. "Beel, why don't you fetch 'ze '82 Bordeaux my parents gave us for Christmas? Remus, you must stay for a drink or three…"

Hermione never took her eyes off Ron.

"What?"

She pursed her lips. "Lavender seems to have taught you much about astrology."

Ron scratched the back of his head nervously. "Most of what I know about astrology I remember from Divination actually."

"What else do you remember from Divination?"

"About Virgos? Fleur covered the basics, I reckon."

Hermione hesitated before asking in a quiet voice, "Do you know what she meant about the opposite sign?"

Ron's cheeks lit on fire. The corner of the dining room table suddenly seemed fascinating. "Yeah, er, o-opposite signs of the Zodiac tend to have, er, r-really strong compatibility…in that area…"

"You learned that in Divination?" she questioned, voice sharp.

"That, ah…" Ron traced the groove of the table. "That I did learn from, er, Lavender… It was in some stupid Witch Weekly article."

Ron waited with bated breath for a scathing remark, but nothing came. He finally looked up. Hermione was staring at him with an inscrutable expression.

"So…" she eventually said slowly, taking a step forward. Her hand, too, aimlessly traced the groove of the table, but her eyes remained on Ron. "My opposite sign is…Pisces?"

New Romione Fic: When a Rose is met with a Thorn

💌🍓attention all Romione (ron x hermione) enjoyers 💘🌹

Please read the following if you enjoy Romione, and or open to reading Romione fanficion.

Summary: What if Hermione was the one who left during the Deathly Hallows, and never came back? What if the war never ended and things just got worse for 16 years until one fateful day, when it did end, and Hermione knew she had to come back?

Rose a fifteen year old girl has to deal with her mother's constant secrecy and abnormalities. Her mother is not like other mothers, hell she isn't like anyone she's ever met. It never all pieced together until now. What will happen when Rose investigates her mother's past and discovers secrets to otherworldly to be true?

Snippet: “Mummy the table!” “Yup, Mummy’s magic what else can I say?" Hermione shouted back, at which she heard a giggle. Oh how little Rose knew.

Background: Hello all I'm a new-coming Ao3 writer, who is here to promote my new fic. I absolutely love all things Romione and all the tropes, so whenever I watch or read something new I think of Romione in that piece of media (like an au). So I was watching Ginny and Georgia about a month ago and to myself I was thinking, how cool would it be if a single mother hid from her daughter that she was witch? So I wrote that! I wrote a fic very loosely inspired by Ginny and Georgia, but don't let that fool you it is a Romione fanfic. This fanfic is a medium burn, that deals with Ron and Hermione living not in each others lives and how they reunite. It deals with long, lost, and true love, and adult issues. Also I strong plotline in the story is mother daughter dynamics, which I enjoy to the greatest extent.

Your writing always grabs my attention and depending on which fic I’m reading you really give it your all. I’m glad to have stumbled upon your writing because I don’t know what I’d be without your amazing stories. Seriously you are brilliant with creating a story and making it come to life.

All your hard work/dedication really shows in every sentence and paragraph in all of your stories. Even if you struggle in finding time or if life is giving you a hard time always remember that I’m rooting for your success whether it’s in Romione fanfics or in life in general! I hope to someday be a great of a writer as you some day (well I have my own Romione WIPs and I hope to share them when they’re done 🎉). I can’t tell you how many times I read your stories because I’ll just embarrass myself with being your fangirl. 😆 😆.

No matter which story I read I’m always captivated with your the dialogues and your creative ideas. Also BE&S, has a special place in my heart forever. I love it, from begin to the very end. Plus, I love how Hermione was able to show that Healer that Ron is hers ( 💔->that’s me since Hermione won’t share Ron), that was a great piece since it proved that no matter what Ron only has eyes for his love. There is not a doubt in my mind that you have so much time and dedication to finish this story. Again. Thank. You! ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️

Just know that even if you need a break from writing don’t hesitate in taking some time, you’ve given so much to us already. Thanks for being so amazing!!

Also, if you have a chance For the WIP asks, the burrow after the wedding has got my complete attention. Not sure if it’s after Bill and Fleur’s wedding or if it’s after a different one, either way I’m all ears.

I too am a bit sad that Hermione won't share Ron. But, alas, I wouldn't either if I were her lol

The Burrow after the wedding (probably not what the title will actually be) is just my idea to write what happens after the trio flees from Bill and Fleur's and after the death eaters leave. It'll mostly be Molly centric as I love me some Molly Weasley and can only imagine that she's going completely spare the moment she realizes that her youngest son is gone along with Harry and Hermione. I also imagine Arthur, Lupin and whoever else is there trying to reassure her.

And yes, as I do have a particular proclivity (channeling my inner McGonagall) for writing Romione smuffiness, in the Bodyguard fic I can assure you Ron will learn just what Hermione's little hands are capable of 😉🤣😜

Hey, I've recently completed reading ASC and it's one of my favourite HP fanfics. At first Romione was my ship but I've completely fallen in love with Theo and Bas and have been on tumblr for quite a while and red all of their snippets, & fell more in love with them, never liked an OC that much. My boyfriend says(& I quote), "You are fawning over a fictional character that doesn't even exists, it's ridiculous!" & I told him that,(if that's the case, then) you getting jealous of a fictional character is just as ridiculous! Damn the look on his face !...... To be honest, it's not ridiculous, he's quite sexy when he's jealous ;)

Now, to business........ How much long we have to wait for Theobas' first time ? I think quite long, as they just started seeing each other ? Your snippets aren't help in the waiting ! Fanfic Appreciation Week - Day 1

OTP: My OTP(s) are Romione and Jily. Please don't make me pick a favorite fic because I've read so many and I'm just not going to choose, alright?

Angst: I've got to go with To Know You Is To Love You by coyotelaughingsoftly. I couldn't put it down and it's what got me into the fandom!

Slice of Life: There are so many! But I absolutely love @be11atrixthestrange's 12 Fail Safe Ways to Charm Hermione Granger. Mainly because it gives a whole bunch of little snippets of their life post war, Ron's perspective and guided by the book that helped him get the girl <3

There have been so many new people following me this last month omg

Thank you so much to everybody, I’m so so happy you stumbled upon my blog and decided to stay!!!!!

Since I think most of you followed me for my Feysand fics, I thought I would make this post to let you know a few general things about me and my blog :)

I’m French, so my English isn’t always great. I’m 25, and I live in South America, so I’m not on the European time zone, I’m closer to the US time zone (GMT -5). You can always come talk to me, about anything, in my DM’s or in my ask box, anon is always on.

Things I blog about, mostly:

- Sarah J Maas, mainly her ACOTAR series. I ship Feysand (I think this is obvious from my fics hahaha), I do not ship either Elriel nor Elucien, and I don’t really have strong opinion on Nesian. I want Mor to find the love of her life really soon, and I want Azriel to stop feeling entitled to her affection. I also wish Nesta going to the Mountains won’t turn her into a warrior because I want her to read books and drink tea all day long. Although, I’m really critical of the sisters’ general behaviour so I’m not always positive about them.

- Leigh Bardugo, mainly the books from the Grishaverse. I would die for Kanej and Zoyalai. I have many, many feelings about them and can’t wait for King of Scars 2 because I can’t wait to have my heart destroyed. I think Alarkling is an abusive ship and I do blog about that, I also think the Darkling is just an entitled abuser and I hate him. So... yeah no Darkling love here ^^’

- Brooklyn 99, mostly Peraltiago but really the entire show is gold and I blog about it often. Often without tags so... sorry x) If you ask me to tag it I will try to be better :)

- His Dark Materials, the show AND the books. If you haven’t read the books, but are watching the show, my blog isn’t safe because I am talking about the books a lot!!!!! BUT everything that relates to the books is tagged #hdm books so you can avoid spoilers in my blog if you filter this tag. ALSO these books are a personal obsession, and my favorite book series, since I was nine so I.... have a lot of feelings. About a lot of things.

- Harry Potter. I hate Snape with a passion, I can rage about him for hours on end, and I do share anti Snape stuff. I also hate Dumbledore for forcing Harry to leave with his abusive family for 17 years. I ship Hinny and Romione, I LOVE Ron and I will defend him from the haters always, I identify 2000% with Hermione, and Ginny is my favorite character. Harry is bisexual and no you cannot change my mind. I do not consider The-Play-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named to be canon, and I have very mixed feelings about the Fantastic Beasts series. I also have a very love/hate relationship with JK Rowling because I love what she created but she doesn’t seem to understand her characters, she doesn’t seem to care anymore, plus she’s a TERF and probably a homophobe so yeah... I hate her and I talk about it.

- Random stuff: A LOOOOOT of it!! Stupid jokes, cute photos of animal, art that I like, movies, books, TV series I like,..... Sorry my blog is not well maintained hahaha

- Other people’s fanfic: Okay so I have a job that takes up most of my time and energy. So I have very little spare time to read and write, and most of the time, I chose to write. Which means I am very bad at keeping track of what’s happening around me in the fanfic universe. BUT I am always willing to check out someone’s writing!!!! I might not do it right away because of lack of time but I would love it :) I’m really bad at recommendations though because I have so little time hahaha

The things I write

- Original story: I don’t blog much about it, but I’m developping an original story that is basically sci-fi/apocalyptic. I looooove it and I am always open to answer things about it!!!! I might try to share more about it in the time to come ^^

- Non-Feysand fics. I don’t write a lot of these hahahaha but I do sometimes write some Peraltiago, some Kanej, and I have a few Jily/Wolfstar/Marauders projects, but I don’t think I will post them any time soon.

- Feysand fics. aka most of what I write hahahaha I love them and their relationship is an endless source of inspiration for me. Here are details of what’s happening right now, and what’s coming hopefully soon.

Current projects:

Feysand Holiday Fluff Fest: The reason I think most of you are following me ^^ A series of fluff prompts I’m writing for this month, it’s really fun for me because I have a tendency of writing very long stories and it’s a fresh feeling stopping at one-shots.

If you hold me close: It’s a modern fake dating AU, Feyre doesn’t want to go alone to her sister’s wedding and invites Rhys, but then they end up faking being in a relationship. I was thinking I would tag everyone who asked me to be in the tag list for the holiday fluff, but you can always ask me to untag you, I will not take it personnally I swear!!! Your personal experience is what matters :)

Staying Afloat: My baby, I love this fic so much it’s impossible to explain how much I do. I want everyone to love it and tell me what they think. This fic tackles some tough subjects though, mainly domestic abuse (Feyre is dating Tamlin for a good part of it). It’s also very angsty, and a very long slowburn hahahaha @tonystarksbish is my amazing beta reader and general main supporter, she’s honestly the reason I write that many things now. Go check her writing blog ( @somanyshipsss )

Future projects:

A Feysand college AU, mostly written from Rhysand’s point of view. I’m planning for it to be around 15 chapters, maybe? But it might get longer hahahaha

Some one-shots, some canon campliant, some in modern AUs, but all of them being published at an unknown date, depending on when inspiration strikes hahahaha

A project that is basically dumb and silly and that I started TODAY with @quakeriders (if you don’t know what she writes, go to her blog right now), we might post it and tell you more but basically Rhys is canon!Rhys and Feyre is a dumbass human from modern time who’s chilling around in a Stitch onesie. It’s really silly but we LOVE it!!!!! I can’t wait to share it with you guys it’s gonna be so fun ^^ (But not before the end of the month at least!)

Completed projects:

I made you a promise, it’s basically a mostly fluff modern AU, Feyre and Rhys meet at a bar and start dating! It’s been complete for a while now but sometimes I still post random headcanons or short or less short snippets of the story, generally according to request from people (well, from @quakeriders really hahaha) so you can send me requests if you want extensions or headcanons!!

I am ALWAYS open to prompts!!!!!!!! I love them and I will love you if you send me some. BUT I might not answer right away because inspiration is a bitch hahaha

Anyway, I think that’s it, I hope you all are having a great day, and I love you all so much for liking what I write, you bring me so much joy that I could hug all of you and it still wouldn’t be enough ^^

I saw somewhere that today is fanfic author appreciation day! I am unsure if this is accurate or not, but assuming that it is, I would like to take a moment to say: I appreciate you, my beloved fanfic author friend!!

My Dearest Tachiisms,

It was in fact fanfic author appreciation day when you sent this (August 21)! I deeply appreciate this gesture of appreciation from you, my RP friend. :)

I am going to use this opportunity to say that that day- usually a day of great joy for me, as someone who has loved many works for fanfiction since I began reading it two years ago- was a bit of a hard day for me. My relationship with the fan fiction community (at least within the community I currently write in) has changed considerably in the last year and, on top of that, I have not written nearly as much as I have wanted to (or, to be honest, read as much as I wanted to either).

The good things that I did get to reflect on for Fanfic Appreciation Day:

Getting to beta the work of @mary-twig. We are going slowly in terms of putting the finishing touches on the remaining chapters, but she has a very sweet and spicy Han/Leia story in progress right now, and I’m very excited for audiences to get to experience some upcoming dialogue and sexual tension. It’s been an honor to get to be there with a young writer as she develops her style and learns how she wants to story-tell, and I’m so impressed how she manages to navigate the differences between English and her native language. (Check out her FF.net page here.)

Betaing the final installment of @organanation‘s Wild West AU. I was so impressed at her continued growth in writing period, her ability to create imagery in a world she created, her ability to effectively write action scenes that did the job more than well but weren’t excessively long (i.e. they kept my attention, and made me laugh and cheer, and I sometimes struggle with paying attention to those!), and her continued mastery of romance and sexual tension. I owe her some reviews, but the final, short chapter of the story is probably my absolute favorite part and a must-read for any Han/Leia fan. The flirty, saucy, playful romance of it, so Han/Leia, and yet such a happy ending. Having the privilege to do all the nitpicking on the story while she does the heavy lifting has been a joy. Continuing to admire the sheer productivity of @lajulie24, her ability to do so much in such a short space, and to integrate themes that speak to me with excellent characterization and great plot. (And now she does mood boards? Amazing!) Just a very impressive writer on many spectrums. (AO3 page here.)

@jediofgrace For her writing, and for nerding out with me about what makes stories work and what speaks to readers, and for writing with a sense of humor and detail. She is an equally great writer and reader. (FF.net page here.)

@jainadurron who shared some interesting, honest, in-depth, and thoughtful discussions about writing, story-telling, characterization, etc. with me. I deeply appreciated them. (I especially recommend her NJO fic The Road to Recovery and her AU An Alderaanian Love Story.)

@swimmergirl71 who took the plunge from reader into writer this year, with great results. So many “readers” have worlds within them that they carry inside for fear of looking foolish or being incapable if they put them to paper, and it’s so thrilling when they actually share them with us. Thanks for doing so swimmergirl, and I hope you will feel free to share more in the future. (FF.net page here).

@smugglerofsass’s unique point of view, commitment to exploring the depths of Han’s inner world, and ability to take any given piece music and turn it into Han/Leia scenes. I hope she will keep posting snippets of whatever she wants to work on or is in her head at a given moment, as well as keep working on some of those MCs she taunts us with. (Her FF.net page is here, but really, she puts so much on Tumblr only!)

@otterandterrier‘s Scoundress Saturday, which provides such a great opportunity for people to try their hand at writing in a low-pressure and accepting space! This is a true treasure of the Han/Leia community. Fanfiction is, to me, about “everyone can do it”, and Scoundress Saturday, to me, makes people really feel like that is so. (Although all types of content and its creators are welcome! But I particularly enjoy how well it attracts fic writers.) It’s also just great to have an organized place where one can see Han/Leia fanfic weekly. Thanks to Dessi for all the work she puts into making it happen for everyone.

@otterandterrier herself (check out her writing blog @otterandterrierwrites ), who has remained committed to her foc writing while finishing major RL writing tasks. I wouldn’t know where to start on reccing her last year’s worth of work because it’s so varied and so good, but I’ve particularly enjoyed seeing Han and Leia getting to know each other in the bedroom, Leia attempting to meditate, and that time Han asked Leia to marry him. (AO3 here.)

@yoyomarules an incredibly talented writer whose mastery of dialogue and sense of humor make her a must read! I am so woefully behind on her work, but I am so grateful I discovered her this year. Again, too hard to recommend a specific work, because it’s all so good! (AO3 page here.)

@inelegantprose whose dedication to exploring the themes which most interest her in varied, never-ending, and never ever boring ways, and with such skill, is a breath of fresh air (or, because of the heaviness of some of the writing, a gust of storm wind! but either way- bracing, making an impact, different from one’s usual experience, etc.). The Lynnie ‘verse and what comes next particularly stand out to me, but I have such admiration for her as a writer. I also appreciate her willingness to talk openly about the themes she thinks about and how they become part of her writing, her enthusiasm about connecting with other writers, and her extreme dedication to her readers even with many personal real life challenges. @madame-alexandra, one of the first fanfic writers whose kept me returning again and again to an MC and finally forced me to share my thoughts in the form of a review because I was too obsessed. (And who therefore made me into the kind of reader who reviews!) I also admire the way she takes care of herself and her ability to write by setting her own boundaries and limits with what she’s able to do and engage with. I loved the fic she gifted me with this year, and am just overwhelmed (in a good way) by the varied content she produces so consistently. (FF.net page here.)

@onwardintolight whose dedication to working quietly on The Opening behind-the-scenes until enough is finished and it is consistent enough that she’s ready to start posting it again is something I appreciate regularly without her knowing it. :) It is hard to be a fanfic writer who does not post very much, especially when writing a whole multichpater that people can’t see recent progress on. I admire @onwardintolight, adore The Opening, can’t wait for more, and appreciate her lyricism and attention to psychological detail. And admittedly, she is an amazing cosplayer! (FF.net page here.)

@ashlynncoy‘s Misfire ‘Verse is a stand-out for sure, especially for . those of us who love Bail and Breha Organa and imagining them interacting with Han. However, I also hold a special place in my heart for writers and stories who can allow or give Han or Leia previous romances, especially in a way that deepens or strengthens their relationship with each other, and she stands out to me as someone consistently able to do this (and who does it repeatedly despite attracting a lot of ugliness for it). @followfire who does not think of themselves as a writer (although they are a great reader!) but who nevertheless gave us this. I know you have fic ideas, and I hope you will write more, if it will bring you joy to do so!

@alderaanallday You silent gremlin, I see you. :) You may write only under extreme duress, but my writing would not be the same without your beta work. I can’t emphasize enough how many times commenters have said “oh, I loved this detail!” and I have had to tell them, “Oh, @alderaanallday came up with that one!” I hope they believe me. ILY.

@aloemilk, who is not part of the Han/Leia or Star Wars fandom (Luke Skywalker who?), but who is a great Romione writer and, and generally all around great person. Great companion as we walk this fanfic road. (AO3 here)

@fanfictionwriter101 I’ve been really enjoying this (also non SW/non HL) individual and their commitment to that fanfic life. Enjoyed that they’ve started to offer some writing challenges too!

After scroll binging your wholesome and totally awesome❤ blog for a bit, I remembered I wanted to ask you a couple (a bunch) of Writer asks, so from the list I picked: 4, 8, 9, 13, 15, 16, 18, 20 (if you're comfortable with it), 29, 44, 48, 50 & 54. 4- Do you have writing habits or rituals?

I tend to write in word documents most of the time. I always have some sort of drink (usually water) on the desk nearby. I tend to plot out what happens in fanfiction that I write, scene-by-scene, and then do each separate part, although not always in chronological order.

8- Favorite trope to write.

Friends-to-romantic partners is a particular favourite of mine. (Especially when it’s Ron and Hermione I’m writing about)

9- Least favourite trope to write.

I don’t really enjoy writing angsty stuff. It can ruin my mood IRL, and I prefer to write more cheerful stuff.

13- How do you deal with writers block?

I go out for a walk, I talk to people, I do other things, I listen to music. Sometimes I’ll just get an awesome idea whilst thinking about other stuff. You can’t really force yourself to get over writers block- it just sort-of happens.

15- Where does your inspiration come from?

Usually just random thoughts in my head. But I also get inspiration from reading other people’s fanfics, listening to music, or just overhearing things that other people say.

16- Where do you take your motivation from?

My motivation is basically ‘this is a really cool idea, and I want to do it justice.’

18- What’s your revision or rewriting process like?

I read over stuff after giving it a break for a few days. I then read it on my phone, because a different format can help you spot errors that you wouldn’t otherwise see.

20- Post a snippet of a WIP you’re working on.

Unfortunately, I haven’t actually got any in progress at the minute, as I’ve just started a new job, and haven’t had any time to write anything. I have got another Lunarry fic planned, and several Romione fanfics involving dreams, so keep your eyes peeled!

29-Who do you write for?

The people that follow this blog, as you all seem to like the stuff I do (which I am tremendously grateful for, by the way). Aside from that, myself, I guess (although I am my worst critic).

44- Best piece of feedback you’ve ever gotten.

After I started posting Lunarry fanfics on Fanfiction.net, one person commented that I should consider writing a full series of fanfics about the Lunarry pairing. I’m now more than halfway through the series, and I am really enjoying writing it!

Also, everyone who comments on my posts with positive feedback- I’m always glad to know if people enjoy what I create.

48- Favorite genre to write in.

Fluff romance. It’s great fun to write about.

50- Weirdest story idea you’ve ever had.

Been of a spoiler here, but nevermind.

“Ron andHermione accidentally drink a potion that causes their dreams to connect. As aresult, they have the same dreams as each-other, and always with the other personin the dream.

However,their nascent romantic feelings towards each-other begin to make thingsdifficult, especially as Valentine’s Day is approaching…”

That’s the blurb for a new fanfic I’m planning to write. Can’t wait to get started.

54- Any writing advice you want to share?

Never stop trying. Always be open to improving your own style of writing. Spelling and grammar is incredibly important. A dictionary and thesaurus are fantastic to have. If all else fails, just do what you love.
