A Review of my time in Skyrim's Prisons (Featuring some followers): Morthal Jail
I'm back on my Skyrim prison bullshit. I can only apologise. This chapter of the review will cover Morthal, the community's collective 9th favourite Skyrim city. Will its prison fall just as flat as the city that holds it?
Tumblr media
Arriving in my cell for the first time and I'm pleasantly surprised. Morthal Jail uses cost effective but cozy bedrolls to give prisoners a place to sleep, as well as a complimentary bucket and broom to encourage their responsibility in helping tidy their accommodations. From these we can immediately infer that the mindset in Morthal is one of community strength. Placing multiple prisoners in one cell helps build bonds and encourages teamwork, communication and friendship. Admittedly the sorts that end up in prison are more likely to simply beat their cellmates to death with their bare hands than work in-tandem with them, but it's the thought that counts.
Tumblr media
There was space for three prisoners in this one cell, which was fortunate as Sofia and I had been arrested simultaneously (Sofia for drunken hooliganism and myself for lollygagging). Included on Sofia's side of the cell was an additional bucket, this likely serving as the simple but effective waste deposit for this cell. Also included was a basket containing five green apples and multiple sacks. Most of the sacks were empty but one of them had some salt piles inside, useful for when we needed to add salt to somebody's wounds. These simple supplies show a level of understanding for prisoner's needs not really seen in most other prisons which goes a long way to making this one feel more welcoming. Thankfully I was given an opportunity to explore beyond my cell not much later.
Tumblr media
Less than a minute after Sofia and I had arrived in our cells, Inigo walked up to the cell doors... and simply opened them. I was at a loss for words! How had he done this? Had he used his special Khajiit powers again? Did he steal the key from an unsuspecting guard? Or had he simply intimidated the door into giving way? Well as it tuns out it was much simpler than that. He paid our bail. He had picked up some trace valuables from our adventures while I was, and I quote, "too busy scarfing dragon souls as if they were sweet rolls" and could very easily afford the rather meager bail price. Yeah turns out lollygagging doesn't incur that high of a bounty, and as for Sofia, I had asked a guard and he told me that since Morthal is such a nothing shithole drunken hooliganism is a very common offence and as such more major punishments weren't really practical for having a city with people not in prison. Still, it gave me the chance to freely observe the rest of the facilities.
Tumblr media
Leaving my cell had allowed me to freely confirm something I had observed inside my cell. The Morthal guard leave the prisoner belongings chests directly next to the prison cells, in plain view of all the prisoners. Now, I understand that this prison is trying to build a feeling of mutual trust in its prisoners, but I fear this is far too optimistic. With the chests in this position, any wannabe escapist can freely identify where their equipment is held and try to access it without even being in the peripheral view of any guards, leading them to easily re-acquire their trusty Banded Iron Shield of the Major Knight or whatever it is they use and be more than prepared to force their way to freedom without major harm. This, much like the issues plaguing Dragonsreach Dungeon, is a major security breach and should be remedied.
Tumblr media
I (the rather large Redguard man in the rags pictured above) then noticed that the entire prison floor in this hold was being guarded by a single solitary guardsman. Initially I had considered this lack of manpower a major oversight and a suggestion that the Morthal guard were largely lazy and/or not effectively utilized like the Whiterun guards. However, in reflection shortly after coming to this conclusion, I came to a realization. This city is a nothing shithole with a total named population of eighteen people (three of which are children). Of course there's only one guard stationed here. What few guards this city has stationed here are likely stretched incredibly thin and not very satisfied with life given they do, in fact, live in Morthal. As such, I can readily forgive the short-staffed nature of this jail.
Tumblr media
Opposite the guard was a desk for writing legal documentations, equipped with a writer's quill, rolls of paper and multiple bottles of wine. Naturally at the sight of alcohol Sofia immediately made herself at home and then took some serious persuading to leave. Turns out having an alcohol-happy workspace in a city where drunken hooliganism is let off lightly is exactly the sort of thing to get her attention, though knowing her should have made that obvious.
Tumblr media
The way out of the jail floor leads directly into the guard barracks with zero alternative routes and multiple guards inside at all times, which in any other hold would act as a strong defence against escaping convicts. However, with this being Morthal the nothing shithole and the guards being so few in number, every guard in the barracks when I entered was fast asleep, catching up on any rest they could possibly get. I pity those soldiers, but I doubt thieves, murderers and other more serious convicts would be as sympathetic.
Tumblr media
On the whole, I found Morthal Prison to be a much better facility than Dragonsreach Dungeon. It has a clear intention for its captives in mind, it accommodates them well without breaking the bank and the guards (what ones are still awake that is) are very nice and understanding. There are still faults however, namely the placement of the prisoner belongings chests and the fact that this is still, at the end of the day, Morthal. Despite these though, I'd recommend Morthal Prison. It serves as a diamond in the swampy messy shithole that is Hjaalmarch.
Final rating: Seven Banded Iron Shields of the Major Knight out of Ten Banded Iron Shields of the Major Knight
Thank you for entertaining these reviews of mine. Next time we see if the Dawnstar Jail is the reason why all of the city's residents are troubled by endless nightmares.

TESSDE AU (+Taliesin) Allora: *brow twitching subtly as she tries- and fails- to ignore Taliesin staring her down from the other side of the room as she washes the dishes* Allora, in her mind: Has he finally snapped? Is he okay? Have I done something wrong? Why the FUCK is he just standing there. Did Inigo teach him how to T-pose and he's waiting to show it to me? Is there something in my hair? I can't take this I'm going to fucking explode- Taliesin, in his mind: All right Taliesin, the best way to gain intelligence about someone is to study their habits. That's how romance works as well, right? Learning things about the other person. She's very hygienic. Certainly appeals to me. Check. Her hair looks lovely pulled back like that. Check. I suppose I would have to ask her limitations on physical affections, but given her much smaller stature, it would be easy to pin her against the countertops... check. She really isn't all too different from Imperial or Bretons, but I suppose it would be nothing less than me to want not only a non-Altmer, but someone not even of this world. Father would be so pleased... why is she coming over here? Allora, grabbing his cloak and yanking him down: What. Do. You. Want. Taliesin: ..............check.

Skyrim is a dress up game, right ?
I was in the mood to do some costume design, so here is a line up for Teldryn Sero and my dragonborn Elaris :)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I'm always frustrated that every clothing mod on the Nexus is only for women characters (and let's say not to my tastes)- so I had a lot of fun with these :DD
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
[COMMISSIONS]
Notes on my design choices for the two characters below vvv
For Teldryn :
He's a warrior, and he doesn't strike me as a man very interested in fashion, so I kept his clothes practical and not too tight as to not restrict his movements.
He is from Morrowind, and proud of it (one of his only dialogue is him talking about his hometown Blacklight and how beautiful it is), so I tried to incorporate this in his outfit choices. The most obvious one, outside of the canon chitin armor, is the fancy clothes. For them I gave him a slightly altered dunmer outfit you can find in Solstheim. But nothing too ornate or ridiculous, since he's from a pretty modest background (as far as I can tell)
And I think the sleepwear do not need explaining golglflffkfk
For his body type I went for the classic muscular and covered in scars build, nothing much to say. I did give him an ass tho, because I think he deserves it <3
For Elaris :
My dragonborn is a mage Altmer. He puts a lot of efforts in how he looks, and he is a bougie bitch thanks to his new Arc-mage job. Mostly a conjurer, he doesn't need to fight himself. So the outfits are dramatic, impractical and richely decorated. No need for comfortable when your main activities are prancing around a school campus, doing paperwork or summoning big muscly demons to do your bidding.
So I get to dress him in long robes, heels and too much jewelry <3
As for the sleepwear, it's comfy and not very sexy. It's the end of his cunty hours, he gets to relax in a slightly ridiculous 17th century inspired sleepwear (I think it's the right period, but don't quote me on that I'm not an expert)
For the body type, he is tall, not very muscular with a bit of chub. He lives in a cold country and has the closest thing to an office job, he deserves to put on a little bit of meat <3

Tiny Vox part 2?
Idk if you'll use this but I just want to give it to you.
I kind of headcannon tiny vox the be dumber, because the unprepared small body can't load all his data very well. So I imagine Vox, being stupidly in love, trying the help them when they are doing the dishes or working on their hobby bit he is just making more of a mess and smiling dumbly in love. Like when reader likes to draw heb grabs a random coloured pencil and bring it to them. You know just adorable but unhelpful.
Pocket-sized Partner: VoxPet™️ Care Guide
Tiny!Vox x Reader
A/N: So uhhh- here's a teeny little Headcanon thing while I write the continuation for the VoxPet series because I love smol TV guy. That and I'm starting to slightly feel the burnout, well- I can't tell if that's the right term since I'm starting to look at my ideas and realize that they're starting to lack the coherence and polish they used to. ANYWAY! Here's a Headcanon list for the small guy before I post the continuation for it- so I hope you guys enjoy! Happy reading!
So given Vox's mostly bionic/mechanical biology, it makes sense that he doesn't necessarily regenerate the same as other more organic(flesh-based) sinners.
Instead, he has spare bodies to upload his consciousness and switch into if the one he's using gets damaged and needs repairs or is just not worth saving.
Hence he has a couple spares lying around.
It's just in this instance, the only spare he had left was in a less than desirable condition-
And the others were still broken or just beyond repair.
Having a his brain be it's own practical digital entity also plays into this, I'd think in his paranoia he'd have copies of his own data stored in cloud servers all over the pride ring too.
So it won't be easy should someone try to get rid of him.
Anyway, back to the body switching.
So this new body Vox took is a very underpowered and overutilized little thing.
Imagine running a Skyrim with over a thousand mods on the highest graphics using a 7 year old dell laptop.
Yeah. That's what Vox is currently doing.
The small body is already running at full capacity with his overload of data and it's not even all of it.
Just the basic necessities like his personality and habits.
Like, what make Vox- vox.
Everything else like his schedules, alarms, work, etc.
They're just uploaded to a cloud server with the rest of his complete data.
Oh I forgot to mention, in his haste to make this tiny cute form-
He totally forgot to give it the ability to form even basic speech patterns.
Hence the squeaking and beeping.
He actually can't talk, not that the small body would even have any more processing room if he did do that.
Vox merely figured that you'd probably find some enjoyment anyway in his predicament until the new spare parts arrived and he didn't want to keep moving around dripping coolant and blood accompanied by some sparking wires.
Let's not even mention the cracked screen.
His face being messed up was probably the least of his issues there too.
So you kind of had to take care of him as that small little guy in that hastily put together body.
Also, because it's so underpowered and practically at it's peak use-
Vox can't actually really use his powers much.
Which he didn't realize only until after he flipped out when Velvette and Valentino found him when the staff were panicking from him suddenly going AWOL.
In this tiny body, he only has his generally human memorization skills to recall important things.
Not his flawless computer memory, which was lumped in with the data this body couldn't hold.
He did thank his lucky stars that you weren't so upset about the state he was in though.
You'd often flip the hell out when he got hurt or just had blatant disregard for his own wellbeing.
I mean, when you can switch bodies like the socks on your feet would you be careful too?
I wouldn't, I'd try every single way to die just out of sheer curiosity and boredom-
Anyway, after you got over the initial shock of seeing your boyfriend all plushie sized and everything-
You better bet he got fucking spoiled.
Literally like a chihuahua in a purse moment.
Y'all know those build a bear clothes and accessories?
Yeah no you'd dress Vox up and down in those tiny things and he just couldn't stop you.
He could figure out how to delete all the photos you'd taken when he got back to normal.
But if being treated like a doll was all it took for you to just drown him in kisses and hugs-
You better bet this man would go ahead and pull something like this again.
Plus the compulsion to just aggressively cuddle the life out of him-
Well he's already dead but the point stands.
He can't help but soak up your affection like a thirsty sponge though.
You do eventually realize that he actually has to be plugged in to recharge though.
Plugged in by a port on the back of his teeny head.
What, where did you think he'd put it?
You're glad that Vox tends to leave all sorts of cords of different lengths around your apartment.
Something to do with his work?
You had half a brain to tie him up with those said cords sometimes-
It was irritating at first but after you organized them to keep, at least you didn't dispose of them since you needed them now-
For once the hardware spaghetti was actually useful.
And thank goodness for the long wire, because he'd become extremely clingy after all the attention and affection you'd given him.
Tiny dude was sitting on your lap being pet and coddled while charging.
All while you were reading a book.
Yep. He was a spoiled little shit.
You also realized that he didn't need to eat because of the charging thing-
But he could if he wanted to.
As proven when Vox just took a small part of your meal and slowly ate it.
It wasn't even a full bite for you but it looked comically big in his tiny hands.
He installed a proper digestive system but not a text to speech thing.
Sometimes you wondered if your boyfriend's priorities were a little more wayside that you originally took them for.
He was so cute trying to help you with the dishes though.
Couldn't really do much because of how small he was-
Not to mention the fact you didn't even want to risk any more damage to him since electronics and water are generally not a good mix-
But he tried, and you'd count him being adorable as helpful emotional support anyway.
Even if he really didn't do anything aside from play with the bubbles and smile cutely at you.
If he didn't have an empire and corporation to run you might actually just keep him like this-
Even when you were looking over at some documents his secretary sent over to sign-
You guessed it was because Vel mentioned that Vox was in your care for the time being.
He was wobbling around holding a pen that was probably half his size.
Again cute as hell, but an unhelpful distraction-
Now when you went to sleep?
You plugged Vox in again and just cuddled him against your chest.
The same thing happens when he "sleeps" whether big or in this form anyway.
Screen dims and then his company logo screensaver pops up.
Anyway, I say sleep in quotations because Vox doesn't actually sleep in the conventional sense.
It's just one of the many ways he can physically recharge.
So if he does sleep it's often by choice or because he just passes out.
If he wanted to keep going physically, Vox could just directly connect himself into a power outlet and not ever run out of juice.
Mentally though- it's why he actually needs our version of sleep.
Or periods of system shutdown where he can actually mentally recuperate.
Otherwise he'd be a cracked out delirious mf hyped up on caffeine.
Which he is sometimes regardless.
Either way, you'd pet and cuddle him until he fell asleep before you would also succumb to slumber.
When you woke up though, he somehow ended up cuddling your face.
You had no idea when that even happened.
He greeted you with a happy beep and a heart on his tiny face when you woke up though.
It was probably selfish as hell but now you really wanted to keep him like this just a little longer-

oblivion sex mods even purely text based ones like the one ”your ass hurt. done” originates from are so crazy like i also find the skyrim ones strange in the sense that skyrim is a sexless ass game but like. okay. at least the characters and the world in it look realistic enough that you could convince me that like idk brynjolf has a cock and balls instead of just a ken doll situation or whatever. meanwhile oblivions like. you want to bring sex and lust and genitalia into the game where everyone looks like theyre made out of playdough. like theyre slightly melted poorly made vax figures. the comically unrealistic game. you want dick and pussy in that?

“The Inquisitor And Her Commander”
As some of you may have noticed, I am a huge fan of the Dragon Age games, especially Dragon Age Inquisition. Last year, I had planned on drawing all the main [playable] characters up until Dragon Age Day (which took place on December 4th), but I just didn’t have time to draw more than three characters (the Inquisitor, Solas, & Varric…please check them out in my gallery) due to being busy with work and other things. I’ll eventually draw the other characters when I gather more motivation to do so.
For now, please enjoy this piece. I hope everybody likes this. I worked very hard on this artwork. It took longer than usual to create, due to all the small details, the poses, & the armour. (Armour is not easy to draw for me!) For those of you who are DAI fans, you may recognize the flowers: Crystal Grace on the bottom and Andraste’s Grace on the top. I know Andraste’s Grace is not in DAI, but I thought it would be pretty to add to the artwork (since it technically exists in the Thedas world).
My OC Inquisitor is named Bryony Trevelyan. She is actually my 2nd Inquisitor character, the first one having been an elf (which I may draw someday). I had been playing DAI for the 3rd time, a few months ago, as a male character (since I wanted him to be in a romance with Dorian, so yes, my male Inquisitor is gay), but I stopped for a bit since I am playing Skyrim at the moment (with updates & mods). Anyway, back on the main subject: I drew Inquisitor Bryony Trevelyan in the Armor of the Dragon Hunter outfit (from the Jaws of Hakkon DLC), which I had altered the colours by tinting it with Veil Quartz. I based her crown from concept art for DAI. So much armour in the game! Which I love, especially since the DA games don’t give female characters the stereotypical skimpy outfits…I love that I get to make my female characters wear bad-ass armour.
Cullen Rutherford is such an adorable and slightly awkward character around my Inquisitor. I knew I had to romance him right away, because his looks are the type of man I am attracted to in real life. (I’m not going to lie…in the game, he’s hot for a video game character. Ha ha!) I’ve always enjoyed the flirting in the DA games when it comes to the relationships. The best scene was right before their first kiss, when Cullen got interrupted by a member of the Inquisition, and then got mad about it. Ha ha. I liked when my Inquisitor asked Cullen, “The day you kissed me on the battlements…how long had you wanted to do that?” And Cullen replied (with a laugh), “Longer that I should admit.” Awwwww.
I also liked the part in the Winter Palace, when all these people were flirting with Cullen, and one asked him, “Are you married, Commander?” And Cullen replied, “Not yet, but I am…already taken.” Double awwww, because a loyal man is so dreamy. :3 I actually had Bryony & Cullen get married in the last DLC. :3 They adopt a Mabari (dog), too!
I love DAI too much. :D It’s such a fun game with the most gorgeous graphics (especially on the Xbox Series X).
Drawn with Sakura Pigma Micron pens, then coloured in with a mixture of Copic Markers & Ohuhu Markers. I used Koi Watercolours for the background. White accents done with both a gel pen and white watercolour. Gold acrylic was used for the Inquisition Symbol & the lines, which the scanner absolutely murders...the gold is such a pretty, shimmery metallic in real life. The light green around my art was done in Photoshop Elements.

TESSDE AU (+ Taliesin) Continuation from this
Taliesin learns very small details of Allora's whereabouts; most people having not seen anything other than some shadows passing by too quickly to see. His outwardly facial frustrations scare a lot of the locals as Kaidan comes back from the docks, looking equally grim.
Kaidan: No sign of her. Taliesin: These useless idiots have nothing either. Where in the world could she have gone? Kaidan: I have only one guess. The Thieves Guild must've taken an interest in her for some reason. Taliesin: *clenches his hands into fists as he thinks, trying to figure out any way they could save her* Kaidan: *looks at him before placing a heavy hand on his shoulder* Look. We'll find her, aright? Use that anger as fuel in getting her back. I'll let you have first dibs on teachin' them a lesson. Taliesin: *gives him a confused glance* ...You're being awfully charitable. Should I question if they also stole the real Kaidan as well? Kaidan: *snorts and pulls his hand away* No, arsehole. Now let's get a move on. We've got some people to flay. Taliesin: *hums, following after him* Perhaps we can rid this town of it's supposed plague once and for all. How heroic. Kaidan: *chuckles darkly alongside him as they head towards the lower levels of Riften* Aye. 'Heroic' indeed.

I have decided to start posting snippets of the adventures of my latest and greatest Skyrim character, Ivar the Unlucky. He is a slightly cowardly, yet good-natured Nord out there to see the sights and maybe make a difference. I am playing on legendary difficulty with a custom-built load order some 270 mods long. All captions will be written in-character.
My man's journey has just begun.

M'aza/Aza-jo
He/Him Khajiit 27
Favored Skills: Illusion, Conjuration, Speechcraft
Other Skills: Destruction, Sneak, Lockpicking
A rather odd and detached Khajiit, even for others of his kind. Once the son of a wealthy merchant and crime lord of the city of Corinth, he was less interested in his father's business as he was with the various magical relics that passed through his father's hands. It was no surprise that he'd grow to become a mage instead of a merchant.
Over time his experiments became more and more unethical to the point where even with the pull of his father, he was cast out of Pelletine and was forced to relocate to Cyrodiil. After several years studying in the College of Whispers, he was once again on the lamb and absconded to Hammerfell, where he studied esoteric magic under the mages of Azra's Crossing.
He put his neglected skills as a trader to use to survive so far from home, but his business in selling relics taken from Ra'Gada tombs eventually got him in trouble with the law. Having maintained connections among the Bandaari since his exile, he was whisked away by Ri'saad's caravan into Skyrim. With nowhere else to run, he made for the College of Winterhold at the far edge of the province.
Unfotunately, he would once again find trouble after barely setting foot in the province. The experience crushed him enough that he was unwilling to continue on even if he had a chance to escape. But when the impossible happened, continue he did.
Tumblr media
I wasn't gonna do a reference for his outfit since it's heavily based on the Wayfarer Coat mod but why not
Like a lot of my early TES characters, Aza-jo originated as something other than an OC...for TES. But I'll get into that down the line.
It was a little hard deciding what information to give on what is meant to be like, his introductory post for people that haven't been on my blog for a while but I just decided follow the example of my slightly-less-developed Oblivion OCs. Also my Skyrim characters will have more than one post because of...reasons.
